"Y'all need to save me from those two. My bitter ass can't take seeing (y/n) and Izana being so touchy-touchy with each other," Kakucho grumbled at the S-62 members. They are currently hanging out at the canteen as they wait for their next class. Seeing how the two interacted, Kakucho knew that he couldn't stand living under one roof with those two. He is single, and he's bitter seeing how Izana and (y/n) looked at each other. One scenario was when they were eating breakfast earlier that morning; the two kept stealing glances.
"You chose to stick with the president. Deal with it!" Ran teased Kakucho. As much as the buzzed cut man hates to admit it, the older Haitani is right. He chose to be Izana's "loyal servant," so he had to deal with it. But, it is not in his job description as a loyal servant to watch Izana "flirt" with his childhood crush.
"Patience is the key..." Shion said as he put a handful of chips in his mouth. "...to success," Mochi continued Shion's line as he snickered. Kakucho shot a death glare at the two. Obviously, they are in the mood to bully him today.
"I swear! I am literally a bystander there last night," Kakucho swore. Kakucho felt like he's watching a live drama and that he only needs a popcorn. Or, he also felt like he is nonexistent when the two is together.
"Then, why don't you go out there and look for your so-called girlfriend," Mochi suggested, which earned a shrugged from Kakucho. "I doubt that somebody likes me," Kakucho chuckled.
"Huh? I'm sure there's someone out there liking you," Ran said as he twirled one of his braids with his hand. "Someone like me," he added before winking, which earned a disgusted look from his group.
"Stop that, Wednesday Adams," Mucho irritably commented.
"You're like Annabelle who's scaring the shit out of us," Shion exclaimed.
"Stop that, big bro. You're not helping Kakucho, " Rindou said as he lazily looked at his older brother. Ran's brows raised at his younger brother's remark. This is one of the rare times when Rindou didn't take his brother's side.
"Oh? It seems like someone is not taking your side, Ran," Mochi teased the older Haitani. "Yah! You should take my side and not help them bully me," Ran exasperated.
"Deserve," Mucho commented.
"So true," Shion agreed. Ran shot a death glare at Shion. "Yah! You also deserve to be teased, you know? You got knocked out with just one shot!" Ran reasoned out.
"At least I am not dumb not to know whether a person is dead or not," Shion shot back. Ran shot an icy glare at Shion before he tried to charge at the guy. The good thing is; that Mochi and Mucho were able to stop him. Meanwhile, Rindou lazily looked at his brother. Kakucho noticed how silent Rindou was today, so he decided to talk to him.
"It seems like you and your brother exchanged souls today," Kakucho remarked. True enough, Rindou is always the noisy one, and Ran is the calmer one. But today, it's the other way around.
Rindou raised his brows as he rubbed his right palm on his left wrist. He tends to do that mannerism whenever someone points out something to him or faces a difficult situation.
"Y-yeah. I think so," Rindou answered as he averted his gaze from Kakucho. The latter furrowed his brows. He could sense the uneasiness of the younger Haitani. And that got him thinking if he said or did something that offended Rindou. But, he concluded that he didn't do or say something offensive. Unless Rindou had other reasons why he wasn't in the mood.
Then, a light bulb suddenly popped up in the buzz-cut man's mind.
"Oi don't tell—"
"(Y/n)!" Rindou shouted out of the blue, making Kakucho turn his head around. Rindou's shout also caught the attention of the others. Now, everyone had their eyes on (y/n), who was approaching their table.
"Hi! I'm (y/n) (l/n). I'm here to say something to Kakucho for a second," (y/n) said as she bowed ninety degrees in front of the S-62 members. The delinquents look at her wide-eyed—not knowing what to say.
"Hai! Hai! Hai! don't bow at us. We're not your seniors," Ran amusingly said as he waved his left hand. (Y/n) stood up straight and met them eye to eye. Some students might call her weird for going near the S-62 members, but that's (y/n)'s least concern.
"Kakucho, I need to work an extra shift today. So, get back home early. You know we cannot leave Izana alone, right? Who knows...he might leave without notice," (y/n) said. Kakucho chuckled at (y/n)'s last sentence. It seems like the lady has her guards up at Izana. Rindou smirked at how worried (y/n) was about their leader. Meanwhile, the other S-62 members exchanged amusing looks. And all of them thought the same thing: Izana is one of hell, lucky guys.
"No need to worry," Kakucho replied. (Y/n) smiled broadly before looking at the other members—who were currently amazed at how (y/n) approached them.
" Fuck it," Ran snapped as he left the group too. He needs to confirm something and the only way to do that is to talk to his brother.
"Just let them be. Afterall, it was Ran who can talk to his brother," Kakucho calmly said when he noticed that the others wanted to follow the Haitani Brothers. Even without confirmation, Kakucho knew what made the younger Haitani's mood foul.
"You know...you guys can also come to my apartment. I bet all of you misses Izana," (y/n) offered them. She flashed her sweetest smile before speaking again.
"Thank you," the (h/c) haired lady thanked them before bowing again. Then, she looked in Rindou's direction and said, "I'll call you too later!" before leaving the group astonished.
"Hope all," Shion commented.
"Now, I think I already understand why Kakucho is so bitter," Mucho snickered.
The members of S-62 didn't seem to pay attention to what (y/n) said to Rindou before leaving. And also, they didn't even take notice of the sudden shift in Rindou's mood. But that doesn't mean Ran didn't notice all of that.
"What the fuck was that!?" Ran asked Rindou—whose mood became better than earlier. Everyone looked at Rindou, who had a Cheshire grin on his face.
"You two are talking daily?" Kakucho asked—who heard what (y/n) said. Rindou stood up without answering the question of his brother and Kakucho nor meeting the confused gazes of the other three.
"What if I say yes? What will you do, Kakucho? Will you tell it to Izana?" Rindou slyly asked Kakucho before walking away. It was their first time to see Rindou talk like that to them.
"Ran, what the fuck is his problem?" Shion asked the older Haitani. Ran was also taken aback by the young Haitani's actions. He didn't even know how to explain his brother's antics.
"(Y/n)! Where are you going?" Emma asked (y/n). They were supposed to leave the school together. But, (y/n) is heading in a different direction.
"Ah! You go ahead, Emma. I forgot that I need to return a book to the library," (y/n) said as she walked backward while facing Emma. "Bye! Text me when you get home!" (y/n) said as she waved at the blonde before making her way to the library.
"I'll return these and will borrow some today," (y/n) said as she placed the books she would return on the counter. (Y/n) smiled at the librarian before going to the book section. Apparently, borrowing and returning books isn't the only (y/n)'s agenda at the library.
The library is the only place she can call Izana without prying eyes. Don't get her wrong, she knew that cellphones are prohibited in the library, but she wanted to call the lad earlier. However, she's always with someone else. When she reached the most secluded section in the library, (y/n) immediately pulled out her phone from her bag. (Y/n) was about to contact Izana when his caller ID suddenly popped up.
Talk about the right timing!
"Hello, Izana? How are you? Is there any problem?" (Y/n) asked as soon as she answered the call. With all honesty, (y/n) didn't expect Izana would call her.
"No problem. Just wanna ask how did your day go?" Izana replied. (Y/n) bit her lips to stop herself from smiling too much. She didn't know why, but she felt euphoric when Izana asked her that. His question just made her day 10x better.
"It went fine," She answered as she took a book from a shelf. "How about you?" (y/n) asked back as she read the description of the book.
"Mhmm. Kinda fine,"
"Kinda? You aren't sure?" (y/n) chuckled at him. She finds it amusing when Izana uses his childish voice when answering her question.
There's a brief moment before she hears Izana's voice again.
"Yeah...'cuz you're not here," Izana answered. (Y/n) brows arched. She felt like she heard Izana's voice just near her.
"I missed you, (y/n),"
(Y/n) looked at her side, and she saw Izana leaning on the bookshelf. He is wearing a white long-sleeve that was topped with a black sweatshirt. His earring dangled when he tilted his head and smiled at her.
(Y/n) had to squint her eyes to make sure that she was not hallucinating.
"What in the world are you doing here!?" (y/n) asked. (Y/n) had to cover her mouth because she raised her voice a little bit. "Are you for real?" (y/n) asked again. This time in a whisper-like manner.
Izana chuckled before walking toward her. As soon as he got closer to (y/n), he flicked her forehead and chuckled.
"I missed you," Izana repeated what he said earlier. (Y/n)'s cheeks turned into rosy color.
"D-dummy. We were just with each other erlier this morning," (y/n) replied as she looked away from him. Izana chuckled at her before hugging (y/n). (Y/n) couldn't move. She was too overwhelmed by Izana's actions. She felt that she was going to combust at any moment.
Izana is making her feel things.
"I missed you," Izana repeated what he said. He knows that he might sound like an obsessed guy, but he doesn't care. Izana wanted to let (y/n) know how much he missed her.
Izana misses her voice and her angelic laugh. He misses the way she held her hand like there's no tomorrow. He longed her for a long time. It's been ten years and it's still her, (y/n).
"You already said 'I missed you' thrice," (y/n) remarked before giggling. Izana buried his head on (y/n)'s the shoulder blade. He wanted to make the most out of this moment.
If loving and missing (y/n) is a crime, Izana is surely guilty of it. There's no reason to justify him. And, no lawyers can defend him on court.
"You know why I said it thrice?" Izana asked her. (Y/n) shook her head as she hummed. She had no idea why Izana said it thrice. So, she just let him say his reason.
Izana smiled as he tightened his hug to (y/n) before answering.
"It is because I love you,"
