Louis woke up with a slight buzz in his head and his mouth was ridiculously dry. He groaned to himself as he rolled over to grab his phone. He couldn't properly remember getting home as he lay there trying to remember the night before. He remembered dancing with Fran and feeling unwell but didn't end up throwing up. He felt that was a huge victory considering how much he had to drink and what a huge lightweight he was. He remembered dancing with some people he'd met there and how one of them looked like Harry. He sat up in bed and ran his hands through his hair. Was it Harry? Surely not. He really couldn't get this boy out of his head and it didn't bother him one bit. Thinking of Harry made his heart happy. He remembered Fran leaving early and getting a lift home, but couldn't remember getting into bed. He turned and placed his feet on the floor, stretching up to wake himself up a little more before standing up. He headed out of his room and to his kitchen to grab water and painkillers. He dragged his feet as he walked and his eyes were still heavy and pretty much closed. He reached up to his top cupboards for a glass and filed it with water then opened the drawer with all his first aid items in to grab paracetamol. He took both tablets with the water them leaned forward with his elbows on the counter, his head in his hands to ease his pounding head slightly.
Harry was still lay on the sofa which was kind of facing the kitchen. He didn't know whether Louis knew he was there or whether to make himself known. He did however like the view right now as Louis was bent forward slightly wearing just the white tshirt from the night before and his boxers. He could lay there and stare all day but knew he couldn't. He sat up slowly and cleared his throat making Louis spin around to face him.
Louis could feel his face turning red, now fully aware that Harry was sitting in front of him and he was wearing very little clothing. He tugged at his tshirt slightly cover his boxers as much as he could.
'Good morning..' Harry smirked, making sure to keep his eyes on Louis' instead of looking elsewhere.
'I'm so sorry, I didn't realise you were here.' Louis was still red and obviously embarrassed.
A laugh escaped Harry's mouth as he stood up and walked over to Louis, taking a blanket with him. He'd found the fleece blanket on the sofa before he had settled to sleep. As he reached Louis' side he handed him the blanket.
'Dont worry about it. You were pretty wasted last night, I just wanted to make sure you were alright.'
Louis took the blanket from Harry and wrapped it around his waist to cover his legs and boxers.
'I can leave if you want me to..' Harry continued, giving Louis' upper arm a slight squeeze.
'No, no. Not at all, I just need to um.. Get dressed?' Louis' cheeks were still rosy pink as he shuffled away heading towards the bedroom. He pulled on some grey jogging bottoms and took a deep breath before going back out into the living room, finding Harry sat back on the sofa.
'Tea?' Louis mumbled as he flicked the switch of the kettle.
'That depends on how good of a cuppa tea you make' Harry teased, leaning his back against the sofa and resting both arms outstretched against backrest.
'Oh I make THE best.' Louis boasted as he turned around to face Harry, leaning against the counter. Harry gave a huge grin making his dimples pop as he gave Louis a nod.
Louis made the teas and came to sit down next to Harry, purposely leaving a gap between them, and put the two mugs on the coffee table. Harry thanked him.
'So how embarrassing was I last night?' Louis mumbled, twiddling his thumbs.
'You weren't, not even a little bit.' Harry reassured. 'Except for when you told me that you were a better dancer than me. That was a lie, so you should be embarrassed about that.'
Louis laughed a little.
'I feel so bad that I can barely remember. I thought I'd imagined you being there.' Louis blurted it out before even thinking then turned his head to face Harry, realising what he'd just admitted. 'Well that admission was embarrassing...' his cheek turned rosy once again.
Louis was saved from embarrassment when he heard his phone ringing from the bedroom. He apologised as he got up and headed to answer it and left the door open to not seem rude.
'Hey Fran, morning' he mumbled. He was still heavy eyed and groggy and his head was aching.
'Lou Lou, hey! Glad you got home okay, how are you this morning?' Fran sounded her usual happy and bubbly self and definitely wasn't suffering with a hangover.
'My head could feel better but I'm okay, good actually.' Louis smiled as he spoke, knowing that the reason he was good was solely down the the curly haired boy sat just 10 metres away.
'Oh youre good? What's the reason for that then?' Fran teased and Louis could tell she was smiling has she spoke. 'Does that have anything to do with a certain someone coming to the party?'
Fran was loud and even though he didn't have the call on speaker, he knew there was a very high chance that Harry could hear the entire conversation. His flat wasn't that big after all.
'I dunno, maybe kind of' Louis blushed as he spoke
'Maybe , kind of? What does that even mean? You were totally having the best time!'
'He's still here...' Louis spoke really quietly, like the quietest he could speak, trying not to let Harry hear the best he could.
'Wait.. WAIT! WHAT?!' Frans voice echoed inside Louis' delicate head.
'Mhm, so I'm gonna go..' Louis was still speaking quietly.
'Text me. ASAP.' Fran stated, excitement in her voice as she ended the call.
He kept hold of his phone, walking back to the living area with his cheeks slightly rosey as he knew Harry had heard at least half of the conversation. He sat down in the same space that he was before and placed his phone on the table, grabbing his mug.
'So you were having the best time, huh?' Harry smirked whilst taking a sip of his tea. 'You were absolutely right about your tea making skills by the way.'
Louis ignored the first question as well as the burning feeling that covered his cheeks.
'I told you, I make the best cuppas.'
'Way to avoid the question there..' Harry teased. '..i know that you like me, you kinda told me.' Harry had his eyes directly on Louis' making his nervous.
He felt his body stiffen and spilt a little of his drink down his tshirt before looking back at Harry.
'W-what do you mean, I told you?' Louis' stuttered, his stomach in knots.
'I mean, you asked me to kiss you. Actually, more like told me to rather than asking.' Harry had a small comforting smile on his face as he spoke.
Louis out his cup on the coffee table and flickered his eyes from Harry to the floor, not knowing where to look.
'I didn't kiss you, don't panic' Harry let out a small laugh. 'You were wasted.'
Louis took a deep breath and started to fiddle with the strings on his jogging bottoms.
'I um, I..' he stuttered and was panicking, he didn't know what to say.
Harry drank the last of his tea before putting down his mug and picking up some of the A4 papers that were left on the coffee table.
'So, how long have you been drawing for?' Harry changed the subject, seeing how uncomfortable Louis was.
Louis took another deep breath and gave Harry a thankful smile. Harry seemed to understand him almost perfectly.
'Um, my mum used to draw and paint and I copied her really. Maybe since I was about 7 or 8? I've never been very good at the painting side but I think im pretty average at the drawing I guess.'
'Pretty average, are you joking?'
'I mean, no one thinks they're that good on Artsy.' Louis chuckled dryly. 'Except you, of course'
'That's not down to your skill, Louis. You need to get yourself out there more. You have no socials, nowhere to advertise your talent.'
'Maybe..' Louis shuffled in his seat, crossing his legs underneath him.
'Draw me.' Harry said, pretty straight to the point.
'What?' Louis looked over at Harry, their eyes meeting.
'Draw me.' Harry warmly smiled at Louis.
