[Dream's POV]
As I got dressed and strapped my mask around my face, I walked to the dining hall where I met a lot of royals, many I have never met, even royals from far away kingdoms attended this ball and party, the ball started at 9PM, but we were also having a party which started in the morning, 'Todays gonna be a long day isn't it?' I sighed. As I watched a bunch of bratty looking, overused makeup, so-called princesses walk over to the princes who were suppose to court my sisters, I could already tell they were going to be annoying, just like a pick-me girl, so I just walked away.
As I was walking to another room, I spotted my Father and other Kings and Queens, so I walked over to them and bowed, "Hello, your Majesty." I said, "Ah! I wish my daughter was just like you, respectful and kind. Whats your name darling?" One of the Queens spoke, "My name is Dream WasTaken, from the Emerald Kingdom. It's a honor to have you guys here." I replied. We talked for awhile, got to know each other, and were now on each other's good sides.
(Time Skip to 9PM a.k.a Ball time)
It was almost Ball Time so I excused myself and started walking to the ballroom. As every royal started to enter the ballroom, the lights went low, but not too low til the fact you can't see anything. I saw my Father walk down onto the stage thing(?) and fixed his tie, he then started to say "Thank you for attending this ball, my daughters will choose a prince to marry after this ball, I hope you enjoy your time here while you still can." And with that, Father left the stage and classical music started to play, some couples were dancing on the dance floor, while I was just chilling in the corner and listening to the music with my plate of food in hand. I was humming a song in my head until Fundy came over to me.
[Fundy's POV]
I was totally listening to these pick-me girl princesses bickering and bragging about how me and my friends would be their future husbands, it was getting quite annoying so I sneakily sneaked away (like a fox), as I was wondering around the ballroom, I spotted Dream, and I started walking over to him. "Your majesty, how about a small dance on the dance floor." I asked while I bowed with my head up and my hand out waiting for Dream to hold it, Dream then placed his hand delicately on mines and said "It would be my pleasure." I could tell a small smile creeped on his face behind that mask. Then a big, noticeable smirk appeared on my face, I was jumping up and down in joy in my head, I didn't know why I even asked him to dance with me or why I was so happy to the fact I was jumping up and down inside.
We've been dancing for quite awhile now, I could feel the anger and jealousy coming from my friends as I danced with Dream, but I didn't care, I just ignored it, I was dancing with D r e a m after all! We then stopped dancing since we were tired, we both walked over to the big table my friends were at, "Hey guys!" I said cheerfully, they just gave me a glare and replied with a hey back which made me smirk. We were talking for a little until I asked Dream if we could be the first people to see his face, at first he was hesitant but he agreed. As he took off his mask, my face immediately turned red, his green eyes which made every gem, even emeralds, diamonds, and rubies, turn to shame if they were compared with each other, freckles that spread across his face delicately like a starry night, plum juicy lips that glistened, soft skin that shined brightly, and even a perfect jawline! A face that could turn any straight man gay. I was a blushing mess just by examining his facial details.
[Dream's POV]
As we were talking, Fundy then asked me a question out of no where, and I quote, unquote "Hey Dream, can we be the first people to see your face?!" I was deep in thought, arguing with myself if I should or not, but in the end, I showed my face. As I slowly unbuckled the belts of my mask, and slowly (#SlothDream🦥 ;-;) took off my mask, I saw all eyes on me, many faces stared into my eyes blushing hard, I just looked down embarrassed and ashamed until I heard Fundy yell, "DREAM MARRY ME!!!!" I jumped out of my seat shocked and now, I was also a blushing mess.
