PROLOGUE
Karma
"Hi, you are Kia Pangilinan, right?" Kylienne asked the girl who was sitting on one of the benches scattered in the whole university of PU.
Lumingon si Kia sa pinanggalingan ng boses na tumawag sa pangalan niya. Sinalubong siya ng magandang mukha na may matamis na ngisi. Puno ng purong tamis.
"Ah, yes, I am Kia Pangilinan," Kia smiled at Kylie.
"Your Kino's girlfriend?" Kia nodded to answer Kylie's question.
"Uhm, Kylie... I really don't think saying this to Kino's girlfriend is necessary. It won't change anything." Kylienne's long-time best friend, Raia said.
Lumingon si Kylie dito. Tinalikuran ang naguguluhang Kia.
"Anong hindi?!" Kylienne's brows goes up sharply. Nagtataray.
"Kino's cheating to his girlfriend, Raia!! Anong hindi kaylangan sabihin?! God!" Ang naguguluhang Kia ay natigilan ng marinig ang mga katagang nagmula kay Kylie.
"W-what did y-you just say?"
"Girl, Kino's cheating. I saw her with this girl and...they kissed. They're lips are-" Kylie pitied while looking at the poor Kia girl. Ni hindi na nga niya napansin na pinutol ng dalaga ang kanyang sinasabi.
"Where did you saw them? Kilala mo ba kung sino?" She's almost at the brink of breaking down. Well, it's the truth anyway. Her boyfriend is a cheating bastard.
I just simply wanted to help her to not get hurt when she knows the truth someday. And she did her a favor to not get deceived any longer.
"No... Do you have evidence to say those accusations?!" Oooh, this girl is a hot-tempered one.
I got my phone from my Gucci bag and let her see the photos I took when I saw Kino with another girl. I actually thought that the Kino guy was a good guy, someone who wouldn't cheat, but I shouldn't have had expectations with their species.
Men sucks...
When she saw the pictures of Kino kissing another girl, her tears started falling from her eyes. Big drops of it.
Just like Mama's tears when Papa cheated on her and brought the mistress in our house.
Inalis ko ang naisip at nag-focus kay Kia. Inilayo ko ang phone ko sa sight niya at nagpaalam na aalis na dahil may klase pa. I'm not that bad to let her see the pictures longer. May malasakit rin naman ako sa katawan.
"Hey, I gotta go, I still have a class to attend to. I'm sorry about Kino but I just wanted to help you with your cheating boyfriend."
I know I sound like a heartless bitch but I still have a conscience. I feel bad that she's in a situation like that, pero kaylangan niya ng magising sa katotohanang basura ang tinuturing niyang katuwang sa lahat ng bagay.
Heard that they're live in partners, and that they only have each other. Gosh, nagtanan daw sila pero look at what happened, nagloko yung isa.
Never trust a man.
Yun lang advice ko sa mga babae. Never let them deceive you by their looks and kind actions, because behind those mask they're wearing...is a filthy specie.

"KYLIENNE," Connor called in his pinaliit na boses. He's Kylie's another friend, a gay friend.
Raia still has a class kaya nauna na ang dalawa sa condo ni Connor at Raia. They're living together to save further expenses. While Kylie on the other hand is not allowed to live in her own. Her father is too paranoid na baka iwanan din niya ito tulad ng ginawa ng ina at kuya niya.
"What is it, Connor?" Bored na tanong ko, it is so dull when Raia is not here. She was not interested and she looks like she's in a really bad mood.
"Bakla ka! Connie sabi eh! Palagi mo nalang pinapaalala sa akin ang pangit na pangalan na iyan!" Mahihimigan ang inis sa boses ni Connor.
"Why?" Noon lang napunta lahat ng atensyon ni Kylienne kay Connor.
"Nakialam ka na naman daw sa relasyon ng iba," Connor was serious na, wala ng ibang mahihimigan sa kanyang boses maliban sa pagka-seryoso.
Kylie rolled her eyes at what she heard. Raia must have told him. Pinigilan ni Kylie na mapataas ang kanang kilay, baka mauwi pa ito sa sabunutan. Palaban pa naman ang bakla.
She just ignored Connor na nagsesermon na naman ng kung ano-ano.
"Alam mo namang wala kang karapatan na makialam sa problema ng ibang tao e. Kaya please stop sticking your nose on things that does not concern your well-being. Gosh! So pakealamera."
"Sige, yang pang-mamaldita mo babalik talaga yan sa'yo. Kita mo, Kylie." Muntikan ng matawa si Kylienne matapos marinig iyon. Pinigilan niya nalang sa pamamagitan ng pagkagat sa kanyang dila.
Nagtagumpay naman ang dalaga at napigilan ito. Ngunit nagpatuloy pa rin si Connor ng walang kaalam-alam na pinagtatawanan na siya ni Kylie deep inside.
"Hindi man ngayon, pero babalik yang kasungitan mong yan sa'yo kung kailan hindi mo inaasahan."
"Ang tawag dun ay karma." Narinig ng dalawa ang boses ni Raia at napatingin sa gawi ng huli. Kasasara lang nito ng pinto ng condo habang nakaharap sa kanila.
"Whatever." Kylie said while rolling her eyes at the two.
"Whatever ka d'yan," Raia and Connor said in unison. The two even looked at each other, napataas ang kilay ko dahil dun. May iba lang sa tinginan nila. So weird and serious.
Nevermind. I'm sure it's nothing. They have been that way for as long as I can remember. I know that they are just worried about me. They're my best of friends after all.
I rolled my eyes at them to remove the tension that was starting to build up.
"By the way, can I sleep over? I don't wanna see the bítch's ugly face." Just thinking that I'll see my dad's other woman in our mansion every single day drains me more than my school works does.
"No!" Both of them answer. Their voice was loud because they opposed my idea so much.
What's with the both of them? So annoying.
"Edi 'wag! I'll just check in Moretti's Hotel. Maka-no kayo kala niyo naman gusto ko dito sa condo niyo. I just simply don't have a choice because you two are my only close friends. Gosh!" I told them.
My other friends are not in the country. They are mostly based in America. Other than this two, Connor and Raia.
"I will leave early nalang," I said while rolling my eyes at them. They were speechless after telling them that I don't want to sleep in their condo.
"Bye, bitches! See you when I see you!" I said loudly for them to hear before shutting the condo's door and leaving.
