You walked into the locker room to change out of your cheer uniform. Everyone else was gone as you had stayed behind to put some of the equipment away.
You opened up your locker and found a small pink note. The handwriting was neat, and the words were sweet.
Your hair looked really good today.
~Anonymous
It made you smile and you brought it home after changing.
That was about a month ago.
You weren't sure who was giving you the notes, but they lit up your day.
They were usually a short compliment on your appearance, or a congratulations on something you did. Occasionally, however, there were really bad cheesy pick-up lines.
Sometimes they were stuck onto your desk, sometimes they were in your hallway locker, and other times in your gym locker. You even found a couple in your backpack once.
You were embarrassed to admit it, but you had grown a small crush on whoever was behind it all. They were so funny, sweet, and you liked that they didn't just like you physically. You wanted to know more about them.
You also didn't want to tell anyone at first, but you felt like you should at least thank the person, but you weren't sure how you'd find them.
You decided to talk to one of your friends, Sasha.
She was in most of the classes you'd receive the notes and she was on the cheer team with you, she had to have seen something!
"Saaaasha!" You called as you put a hand on her shoulder, almost falling onto her. Practice just ended and you caught her outside.
"yes?" She questioned, turning around with a small smile.
"Can you help me with something?" You stood up straight and walked side by side with her.
"yeah, what's up?"
"soo basically i need your help finding someone." You answered vaguely.
She furrowed her eyebrows, "uh, why?"
"Someone has been leaving these super cute notes for me and i just wanna thank them!" Your arms waved around to show your excitement.
Sasha smiled, her cheeks a little rosy - from the cold of course, October chill - as she pressed the button on the pole so you both could cross the street soon.
"alright, do you know anything about them?"
You frowned, "i mean, they've left them in the locker room a few times, sometimes on my desk in math and history, so they're probably in our class."
Sasha nodded, "anywhere else?"
"backpack, science, but you're not in that class."
She nodded again, "well, most obvious plan, just stake out the area to catch 'em in the act." Sasha shrugged and began crossing.
You smiled, "ohhh! yeah that makes sense!"
Sasha just laughed at you, "okay, my house is this way, i'll see you tomorrow, yeah?"
You giggled, "okay! bye Sasha!!" You practically sang as you began running in the opposite direction to your house.

You got to school early this time. You were creeping outside your science classroom, nothing on your desk yet.
You decided to walk to your locker because it was close enough for you to keep an eye on the door.
No one came in or out, when the bell rang and you sat down, nothing was there.
You almost sprinted to your locker to check if anything came up. Nothing did. You then ran to your PE locker, nothing there.
You were caught in the trafficked hallways on your way to history and barely made it before the bell rang.
Sasha was there and so was a note, you frowned and she said it was there when she sat down.
There was a cute heart sticker that kept the paper folded. You smiled and opened it up.
'Good luck on the math test, you're smart, you got this!'
you mentally face-palmed yourself, "i forgot about the test!" You turned to Sasha.
She then pulled out her notes and slid it over to you.
"You have two periods to study, you better use em."
You restrained yourself from hugging her, "AH! SASH SASHA THANK YOU!" you whisper-yelled.
She rolled her eyes and nodded towards the teacher, "don't fall behind in history too, stupid."
You laughed and listened to the teacher.

You managed to study a little during your elective and english periods.
You returned Sasha's notes when you got inside, thanking her again, and then once more after you finished the test and felt confident in your answers.
You both went to the gym for practice, and walked home together.

About two weeks passed, and you'd missed the person each time. To make things worse, your emotions were all over the place.
You wanted to say you liked the mysterious note giver, but you didn't know who they were.
What if they're actually really mean and this has all been some sort of sick game.
Also, you were starting to question your sexuality, and feelings for Sasha.
You had thought about it before, liking girls and all that, but you'd never had a crush on a girl before.
Sasha was just so nice. She was helping you, and she was so funny, and soooo pretty. She's an awesome cheerleader, and she's smart. And cool.
Maybe you just wanted to be her?
'no..' A thought came out of nowhere.
what were you supposed to do now?! What if-
"Y/n? Girl, you in there?" Sasha put a hand on your shoulder to give you a little shake. "We can go now," She pointed to the 'walk now!' lights across the street.
You nodded with a laugh, "sorry, lost in thought."
"About..?" She pressed a little as you neared the other sidewalk.
"Just, the whole note situation." You shrugged, "i think i like someone.." You mumbled.
Sasha was taken aback. "oh!"
"i don't know.." You frowned, "i'm gonna go home, bye Sash!"
She waved, "..bye!.."

It was about 12:30 and you were up questioning everything. You stared at the ceiling and just wondered. Did you like Sasha? Did you want to be her? Were you just stressed and annoyed that you hadn't caught 'Anonymous' yet?
That was when your phone began vibrating and lighting up on your bedside table.
"Hello?" You whispered.
"Hey, N/n? sorry if i woke you up.."
You shook your head, even though she couldn't see it, "No, you're good Sash, couldn't sleep."
"That's good, I just wanted to ask, who do you like..?"
You started panicking, "uh, why?" Your voice got a little higher, "you probably don't know them."
Sasha hummed in response, "okay.. uh, could i know their name then? if i don't know them?"
You cursed, "uhm."
'maybe i should just tell her? would that be weird? i feel like i should just do it. tell her that i'm not actually sure? UGH WHY IS THIS SO HARD?!'
You sighed, "well, uh.. Okay, Sasha?"
"yes?"
"I'm not really sure, well i am, but i've never.. liked a uhm.. girl, so.. i don't know.. i don't really know how i feel.. but i think i might like.. you?" You fumbled with your blanket, hoping you could distract yourself from everything.
Sasha suddenly half yelled, "I'm Anonymous!" You could hear her hand cover her mouth almost immediately.
Your eyes went wide. You pulled your phone away from your ear, checking to make sure it was Sasha you were calling.
"You're what?!" You whisper-yelled.
"I'm Anonymous.. i've been leaving notes, and I like you.."
You felt yourself smile.
"Really.?" your heart was fluttering again.
'wow i think im gay-'

Sasha continued leaving little notes, they still made you feel warm inside. You started dating, and you were no longer doubtful that you like Sasha.
