Lot of fluff, lotta love and a hint of spice! Enjoy and listen to the song while reading!
After an big breakfast and a unexpected long time spent in the shower together, the couple were out and about in the sunny streets of California. Their first stop would be an midday stroll at one of their favorite parks between Crenshaw and Beverly, close to the hangout where them and the rest of their friend group likes to hang out. After parking his car somewhere close, the couple started to engage in an game of this or that.
"Coffee or juice?" Spencer started them off. Olivia walked beside him swinging her arms to move with the wind.
"You've known me for three years, and been dating me for one, you should know the answer to that already"
"That's not how this game works, Liv, coffee or juice?" He shook his head as she looked to him, rolling her eyes waving him off.
"Coffee, hands down"
"You would say that" He snuffed as she playfully pushed him over the edge of the sidewalk laughing.
"Alright all american, your turn. Tacos or pasta?"
"Pasta definitely!"
"This is why I love you" Liv remarked with an wink as his lips curved into an smirk.
"Like I told you girl, I'm special" He flashed her an wink as her mouth gaped with an giggle falling out.
"Yeah you special alright, your turn"
They continued the game until they reached the end of their trail, next stop was the ice cream shoppe.
"Can I have two scoops of the oreo and one scoop of chocolate please?"
"Cup or cone ma'am?" The employee asked Spencer's girlfriend as his eyes bugged out at the amount of ice cream she was getting.
"Cup, always an cup!" Olivia smiled gracefully as the server put her flavors together, turning her head towards her boyfriend seeing his eyes already on her.
"What? You know I'm an sucker for sweets"
"Only recently, didn't you tell me you hated ice cream when you were a kid?"
They moved down the line as Spencer pointed at the flavors he wanted, signaling the server to blend his mint chocolate and vanilla in a generous cup as well.
"Thank you" Olivia reached over as the server handed her the cup with her ice cream in it and a spoon.
"I didn't but that was only cuz Jordan would always take 2/3rds of the ice cream cake our mom and dad would buy for our birthday's every year and leave me the 1/3rd that tasted like it had freezer burn on it. Once I was old enough to serve myself, let's just say, ice cream and I got real close, specially when....your brother and parents were too consumed with everything else in life to notice that you existed...."
Spencer squeezed her hand without an word and she gave him an small smile in return while he pulled his card out to pay for their treats. Once sitting down, they started an game of 21 questions that would continue for the rest of the day and lead into the night. Throughout the day, the couple felt like they had just met today and was gaining those first time feelings they had on their first date, and the day they met in that biology classroom.
"So, I've been dying to ask you this question" Spencer says watching Olivia poke her fingers at the fish swimming in the tank on one side of the blank space. Her head lifted up raising her brow.
"Spencer James you are not putting that thang anywhere near my ass" He chortled holding his stomach.
"Woman get your mind out of the gutter for one, and two, that's not what I was gonna say. My question was, what was your honest first impression of me when we first met?" She stood up, walking alongside the path of the fishes and sea turtles swimming before her eyes. She was fascinated by the animals, taking an moment to stop and pause. Her palm laid flat on the glass resting her other hand on her hip.
"There's a lot that I could say, but I guess I'll go with what comes to mind first. I remember, just wanting to leave that classroom and break my sobriety, misery can be the loneliest number but I was stronger then that right? I had to be, so I ignored the lecture and just drew to distract myself. I remember thinking, "hey, maybe this year will be different, or maybe it will be the same bs on an different day", then I looked up....and I saw you walking into the classroom"
She began, her eyes flickering back up to him. His eyes burned into hers as he listened.
"You couldn't see me, but I saw you, and I thought, wow, he must be an new student, and I don't know who he is, but I want to meet him, I have to, even if he doesn't ever look my way, or if we never speak after that. God must've been listening to me, if there is one in this crazy world, cuz heh, you sat an row above me and Todd was being an ass to you and I felt compelled to lend an hand. You sat next to me, and when I looked into your eyes for the very first time, I knew....this boy doesn't even know me, and yet....he just became the most important thing in my life now. The rest is history. That day changed my life. Meeting you changed my life"
She finished with the glint in her eyes as he hid his tears from coming out. The same love and affection deep down he knew he always had for her, grew even more in this moment. His hand went up to her cheek as she leaned into it, covering her palm over his. His thumb rubbed against her cheek adoringly as he pulled her into an embrace, wrapping himself around her. Her arms went to his neck tugging him closer to her body, letting an tear drop at that moment. They simply stood by the glass rocking and holding each other, letting the silence speak for them.
"I guess you didn't lie to me at prom after all"
He kissed her shoulder, pressing his head into her neck. She smiled into his arm as the other tightened around her waist.
"Love at first sight, it was" They pulled apart and his eyes synced back up with hers.
"Even after everything we've been through, you still....make my heart skip an beat"
She tearfully smiled leaning into his chest, with him wrapping an arm around her shoulder, pecking her forehead, reaching down to intertwine their fingers, watching the sea animals swim through the glass. It was an day of reconnection and slowly but surely, things felt like they were coming back around. After the aquarium, they headed back to Crenshaw to make dinner and dessert together.
"Wow babe these rolls are really good, what you put in them?" Spencer complimented his girlfriend while stuffing another roll in his mouth. Olivia wiped the sides of her mouth, setting her chopsticks to the side of her plate.
"Mm I figured you'd might ask, so the outside is the sticky rice, on the inside you have crystal fried shrimp and cream-cheese, fry it all together, then top it off with some spicy crab and srichacha" Olivia explains pointing as Spencer nodded, popping another in his mouth nonchalantly.
"I'm not sure if I got all of what you just explained here, but whatever it is, it's very good. Thank you again, for cooking"
"Very welcome, glad it met your approval" Olivia smiles, leaning over to peck his lips quickly.
"Oo! We are still very much in our 21 questions and I believe sir, it's my turn to ask you something"
"You're the boss, lay it on me girl" Spencer winked, leaning back in his seating position. Olivia clasped her hands together twisting her lips to the side as she started thinking of her question.
"Okay so, my question for you is, do you regret...being with...me?" Olivia got the words out slowly, playing with her fingers nervously. Spencer's eyes softened at the question, tilting his head, holding his hands combining them with hers.
"As hard as things have been between us lately, it might be easy to assume that would be my feeling, but to tell you the truth Liv, no, I don't regret being with you. If I regretted anything when it comes to you, it would be....waiting two years to tell you how I felt about you from the beginning.....things were complicated then, but then again, they've always been complicated with us, which makes it even more worth it. I should not have let you walk away that night after our moment in the hot tub without you knowing the way I felt about you, just like I do now..."
"I regret rejecting you, it wasn't you....I was just..-"
"Scared...I know, I was too. But truth is Liv, were way beyond that now, and when it comes to you, I'm not afraid of anything. Come hell or high water, I'll be here, and whatever it is, we'll get through it, okay?" Spencer placed his hand on hers as she nodded softly. Word was bond when it came to the great Spencer James, it always has been and thats why it was easy for the young woman to trust what he was saying.
"Alright, is it me or is it dessert time??" Spencer ponders the question as the gleam in Liv's eyes started to glow with excitement.
Olivia was now blindfolded in an chair in the living room while Spencer was putting the final touches on his dessert dish since Olivia was in charge of their meal for the night.
"Spencer!"
"Five seconds I'm coming!"
"Your five seconds was up five minutes ago, what are you doing in there?"
"Patience baby patience!"
"I don't have any, have you met me?!"
She ranted with an huff crossing her arms before she heard light footsteps approaching her. Spencer walked over to the chair, holding the plate of handmade dessert in his hand, as he sat down on the coffee table directly in front of her.
"Okay, had to add an few things to it, but it's done, you ready?"
"Yes!"
Olivia danced in her chair, ready with anticipation. Spencer had made dessert for her but she didn't know what he made so the deal was that he makes it, she tastes it and if she gets it right, she gets an kiss, if she gets it wrong, he gets to kiss any part of her body that he chooses. Spencer scooped some ice cream and the chocolate marble cake in the spoon, lifting it to her lips. She could taste an tingle of the vanilla ice cream, opening her mouth, wrapping her tongue to the spoon as it slid off the utensil and into her mouth. She savored the bite of dessert letting out an low mmmm. He gave an sheepish smile resting his hand on his chin waiting on her guess.
"I taste vanilla and chocolate with an hint of cinnamon......vanilla ice cream and chocolate marble cake!" She clapped cheerfully.
"Did I get it ri-" Before she could get it out, his lips sank into hers, letting his lips slowly linger as he pulled away.
"Soo I'm guessing I got it right then?" he set the plate aside, removing the blindfold.
"Well you got an kiss so what you think?" She shoved his chest as he laughed, pecking her nose. She bit her lip, taking the plate of cake, setting it on her lap, scooping some more on her spoon.
"You know...." She slid an piece of cake into his mouth, using her finger to wipe off the remnants of crumbs on his face.
"Hmm?" His palms rested flat on her ass inches away from her waist, leaning in to her.
"Even though I got it right, I'm thinking that there's an few other places you could kiss" Her eyes lowered scooping another piece of cake into her mouth slowly making sure he was watching. Those being her last words, he lifted her up in his arms, folding her legs around his waist as her hands looped to his neck with an squeal.
"Will I have you talking to yourself again?" His eyes grew dark as she kissed his throat.
"If you do your job right, I think you will" He grinned meeting her lips for an sensual kiss of many. She rubbed the back of his head as they pulled apart for an split second.
"Happy anniversary baby"
"Happy anniversary" He kissed her lips then carried her to his bedroom where they could commence their second and favorite part of their anniversary, feeling reconnected and slowly moving back in sync with one another. Trials would come, but as long as they both put forth the effort, the love would remain alive.
