Venture to Uncertainty by tarishannon18
What I loved: EVERYTHING. I mean, this is one of the most polished books I've seen. There's literally nothing else to improve. If there is ever a perfect book, this is it and I have found it. xD
The most amazing thing in this book is the characters. I love how dimensional they all were and how the author gives you a complete look into their psyche, even if they're not the POV character. I loooooooove the motivations, the goals, and the flaws. I found it endearing how smart the characters were and how good they are at outwitting each other. Things like this are always going to be my soft spot and damn, this book hit it.
The dynamics between the characters are all so amazing. Very, very well done. I love the character arcs, how the MC changed in between and is still continuing to change, and I love how I never got bored being in his head. This book is just chef's kiss.
The plot, oh gods, the plot is something to die for, literally. xD I love the action, the intimate moments, everything. There's not a dead beat in the pacing, either, which gives me delight to just breeze through it. If I haven't been busy with uni, I would have read this book in three days, tops.
The emotions, the symbolisms, even the huge reveal at the end are all done so, so good that I think I'm just going to fanby about it in this review. The action sequences are also done well, described to a fault with all the physics involved. Amazing work. uwu.
The worldbuilding is also fire, to be honest. There is not much, since this is low fantasy that still kinda operates the same way our world did, but oh my gods, it beat down all the high fantasy series I did read. Even this simple, the story was able to bring the world alive and introduce it through the eyes of the characters. Well done.
And the dialogue. OMG. The character interactions are so tight it makes me angry I'm nowhere near the skill and wit of the author. I looooooooove banter and how sharp the characters are in trying to one-up the other in brain games and witty dialogue. I love it ;-;
Lastly, I can't get over how clean this book is. Every word is important and there's not a typo in place, except maybe a few missing spces here and there, but it's all so good. Grammar is impeccable and lkgjdglaga;gaoge. I think this book broke me. xD
What didn't work: None. As in, absolutely none. Everything works for this book which annoys me a little. xD
What to improve: Same answer above. None.
Final verdict: I'm giving this a 10/10 because omg this book gave me a run for my money eeeeeeeee. This is the first time I never got anything to say in terms of writing advice and stuff because oh boy, this author knows what they're doing and they're doing it well. I know talent when I see one and you have a whole vat of it. I love this story to pieces and yes, Tari, you are my number one Wattpad Author now. ;-;
Keep writing. Keep telling intriguing and witty stories. You will get there in no time. Halleveire monere.
