Athena's POV
"You made Cookies?" I grabbed one from the tray, my hand slapped away jokingly. "They're for Conan, he loves them" I took a bite out of the warm cookie, basically melting right there.
"God, you need to make these more often" I plopped on the couch, turning on the TV. "Do you think he'll need anything else? I'm going to target in a bit" I looked up at her. "Uh, well...I'll send you a list" I sat down to watch an episode of two of Gilmore Girls, getting bored after a while.
"Send the list Ash!" "Will do" I walked out the apartment, zipping up the zipper to my boots in the elevator. I was rushing, people go to target either really early or late, and I'm the second one. Once I got there I grabbed a cart, opening the list Ashley had sent me.
Milano cookies
Coffee (get the big pack)
Milk
Cookie dough
Bananas
Gluten free brownie mix
Vanilla ice cream
Damn, Conan must really like snacks. I went around the store, picking the things up before doing some impulsive shopping. I got a bunch of extra things, shampoo,more soap,towels. I got more of everything. I get it from my mom, I'm used to having people over.
I dragged everything to my car, deciding to stop and get myself some coffee, sure I bought a 50 pack of coffee pods but I'm not home right now and I'm desperate.
I got home and Ashley was gone, so were the cookies. Looks like she went to go pick up Conan, leaving me to unpack and get the guest room ready.
I washed the sheets earlier today, making the bed and putting towels in the corner. I left out a little tray of snacks on the bedside table before vacuuming and wiping everything down. I cleaned the rest of the apartment, making sure it was presentable.
I tend to get distracted when I clean, I organized the fridge and the pantry...and me and Ashley's vinyl collection. But it's okay since I did finish the rest of the house.
I sat down to watch tv, a random show me and Ash had been watching. It was already 11pm, the airport isn't that far away but I'd figured maybe they stopped to get food or just hang out. Time passed and I got more tired, I ended up falling asleep on the couch...
Conan's POV
"She's completely blinded, she doesn't know who you are trust me...she barely listens to pop music" I was still nervous about meeting Ashley's roommate, I've seen pictures of her and she's really pretty, I don't want to make myself look dumb in front of her.
"Are you sure? What if I get in there and she like hates me for some reason" "why would she hate you?" "Cause I lied about my identity!" She scoffed, rolling her eyes. She probably won't care I'm a "celebrity" I'm just being extra.
We got to the apartment complex and I grabbed my suitcase, dragging it to the elevator. "You think she's awake?" She looked at her phone and shrugged. "Maybe" I don't know why I was so scared, I've never even met her.
"She's a light sleeper so incase she is sleeping...be quiet" we entered the apartment, the sound of the tv lightly filling up the space. "Yea she's asleep" ash peeked over the couch, a sleeping Athena laying there.
I got settled in, unpacking everything and getting used to the environment. Everything in the room was so well placed, it was so cute. "Hey Conan...?" Ash whispered. "Hm?" "Can you Carry Athena to her room?" "I'm literally so weak, you take her." "Come on! My legs hurt from standing at the airport and waiting" she whined. "well mine hurt from sitting for 3 hours"
"Also what if she wakes up, I would be horrified if that was me" "come on Conan, then we can get burgers and hang out at the baseball field or something. I feel bad leaving her here after she cleaned the whole apartment." I sighed, rolling my eyes before getting up from the chair.
"If she wakes up I'm gonna cry" "I hope she does" I gave her a glare, going over to Athena. I slipped my arms under her knees, the other one on her back for support. "This looks like a murder or something" "shut up Ashley" I mumbled.
Ash ran upstairs, opening the door for me. She pushed back the sheets, letting me lay down the sleeping beauty. "Okay can we go now?" "Yep"
Athena's POV
I moved around as I woke up, rubbing my eyes before realizing I was in my bed. Ashley probably moved me, it would be awkwardly if I just woke up on the couch.
I checked the time and it was already 11...oops. I guess yesterday drained me. I gave myself a couple minutes before I fully woke up, dragging myself to the bathroom afterwards. I brushed my teeth and hair, all of that fun stuff, going Into my room and pulling myself together before I officially met Conan.
I was kinda scared, debating if I should wait it out, but I'm gonna be seeing him for the rest of the month or something so I have to suck it up. "Morning Athena, how was the bed?" I shook my head with a laugh. "It was just such an amazing experience" I rolled my eyes. "No but thank you, I would've woke up with horrible neck pain" "don't thank me, thank Conan. I made him carry you"
"You're already putting him to work" I rolled my eyes. "He's at the store, said he needed to take in HEB by himself?" She laughed. "He sounds interesting" I made myself breakfast, eating before going back to my room to get ready. "No Mel, I think I'm gonna be gone most of the week cause I want them to spend time together without having to worry about me" I focused, applying mascara on my eyelashes.
"As if they would worry about you, but whatever at least you're going out" she looked at me excitedly. "Okay so, plan is get lunch then go shopping...after we can go to the mall?" She shrugged and I nodded. "Sounds good" I gave her a smile before hanging up. I finished the last of my makeup, picking out clothes for the day.
I went with a black baggy pair of pants and a green cardigan, throwing on my converse before picking out fun matching jewelry. "Hey ash, Hi Conan " I threw the tote over my shoulder with a smile. "Oo! Okay, Conan that's Athena, Athena obviously you know Conan" I gave him a little wave, nodding.
I continued to look at him, inspecting him carefully. "You look so familiar" "uhm, I make music" he shrugged. "Hm no, have you been in a movie maybe?" He shook his head. "Oh...weird"
"Where you headed?" "I made plans with Melanie" I went over to the table by the door, grabbing my package and going into the kitchen to open it. "Is that my shirt?" "Nah" I had bought a lot of used cds, wanting to branch out into new music. "I bought a bunch of cds" I looked at the organized records. Billie eilish? Megan trainer, it was all over the place. "Hey, y'all go through these and keep the good ones" I waved, leaving the house.

"We are never ever ever!!! Getting back together" me and Mel jammed out in the car, speeding through the empty streets. "Ugh, I need a summer love, I'm so done being alone" she groaned. I chucked, she says that but doesn't do anything about it.
"Ashly's friend is single" I shrugged and she shook her head. "He's cute but not my type" "you know, I was thinking he looks so familiar" she shrugged. "Let me see him again" I pulled out my phone, searching back for the old picture of him and Ashley.
"Athena...that's that YouTube boy" "huh?" "The one you were obsessed with during freshman year? The curly hair boy" I inspected the picture and my eyes went wide. "Holy shit, that is him" I now realized where my minor attraction to him was coming from, he was my YouTube crush.
"Awe! Oh my god you need to ask him out! Imagine how cute that would be!" I ignored her, typing up his name on YouTube. Instead of soft boy videos it was music, music videos. With a lot of views.
My stalking spread, going into all of his socials. "This is horrible! now im gonna be so awkward with him" I put the phone down, my emotions going everywhere.
"Didn't you make him a fanpage?" "I'm going to die of cringe, don't remind me" I sighed, I'm so glad I deleted that account. I got noticed by him a couple times, I'm just praying he doesn't remember.
When Mel dropped me off I felt like jumping off a cliff. "I don't wanna go in" "why not?" "I'm scared" she rolled her eyes, unlocking the door. "Just go" i sighed, knowing i was probably gonna make it awkward.
I stomped up the steps of the complex, flipping Melanie off before she left. I went of the elevator, pulling out my keys once I got to the door. "Hey Athena" Conan smiled at me when I walked into the apartment, I froze. "Oh...haha hey" I took off my shoes before grabbing them and walking to the stairs. "Are you okay?" "Mhm" I nodded, racing up to my room.
God, what the fuck is wrong with me? I'm making things so weird. I sat on my bed, staring at myself in the mirror with wide eyes. What the actual fuck. What the fuck! I needed to scream into the abyss. This all feels like a gross, stupid Netflix film.
I changed into my pjs, hiding myself in my room for the rest of the night. I was starving, I wanted dinner but I would rather starve then see his face again. This is all so embarrassing, what do I do?
"I can't believe you left me here by myself, I'm gonna vomit" I dragged my hands on my face. "You're so extra, he doesn't remember" she was right, but I do. And that's the worse part. That I didn't till she told me.
"Hey Athena...we're ordering pizza do you want anything?" I went over to the door, opening it. I just expected to see Ashley but Conan was there too. "Oh uhm, no no I'm fine but thank you" I closed the door quietly.
I rushed to my bed, looking for my laptop frantically. I typed in his name, going straight down to the YouTube videos. I found all my comments, of course they had to be the most likes ones, deleting my embarrassment in a click of a button.
I got tired after like 10 videos, shutting the laptop and leaving it alone. As I went to sleep I couldn't stop thinking about him, I feel so creepy...I mean my first actual crush was sleeping in the next room.
