Chapter 641 – Bai Family's Loss

"How long have you been standing there?" FangSu asked as she stood properly and brought her hand away from her chest.

"Not long enough to hear your conversation with Sister Meixu." Jia Li replied.

FangSu gave her a scrutinizing glance as she asked, "Are you sure about that?"

"Why are you asking, don't you believe me?" Jia Li asked with a small smile.

"No, I believe you." FangSu finally said with a big smile on her face. The next second, a tiny childish voice was heard...

"Mummy! I asked you to wait for me." Jasmine said as she quickly walked over with Butler Lu holding his hand.

Jia Li glanced over and saw her little one with an annoyed expression on her small chubby face. Smiling, she stretched out her hand to her.

Jasmine immediately went over to take her hand, as she thanked butler Lu for bringing her over.

"Da Xia!" FangSu said with excitement as she walked towards the little girl.

"Jasmine, why don't you let Aunty Su take care of you, I will get a little rest and come back for you?" Jia Li asked the little girl.

"But I want to play..." Jasmine said as the frown on her face, spread.

"You want to play? I will play with you, come let's go." FangSu said as she took the little girl's hand.

Jasmine gazed at her before letting go of her mother and following her out. Jia Li sighed in relief once the little girl was out of sight. She has wanted to take a short nap when the little girl asked her to come to play with her. Luckily, FangSu was not busy to accompany her.

A few days later, a piece of bad news was heard from one of the previous big families in the country, and it was no other than, the Bai family.

Although the Bai family had relocated to another country, some people were still on the lookout for them. The Bai Family wasn't trending, but definitely, some people still checked out on the day to know how it's going for them.

Since a day before, there has been a rumor going on on the internet, about a family member dying. Presently, some people got more information ain't the demise of one of their family members and confirmed that it was the old lady that died.

The circumstances surrounding her death were not known yet, and the Bai family were yet to make any public announcement concerning it.

"Dad, have you seen the news?" YingPei asked as he walked into the sitting room.

Fu Lei looked up with furrowed brows. "What news?"

"Have you heard about the Bai Family?" YingPei asked as he came to sit on the couch next to the one he was sitting on, still with an unbelievable facial expression.

Fu Lei was beginning to get annoyed with YingPei, for beating around the bush. As someone who has been in the army for more than half of his life, he hated the method YingPei used to approach concerning a matter. He was very straightforward, and it has now become a part of him.

YingPei seemed to have noticed that his father was very annoyed instead of curious, and so he went ahead to quickly give the full gist to him.

"There are rumors going all over the internet about Old Madam Bai's death."

"Since when?" Fu Lei asked with a slight frown.

"People have been talking about it since yesterday," YingPei confirmed.

After a few seconds, Fu Lei looked away from him and asked, "So, what do you want me to do about it? Do we have any business with the Bai family presently?"

YingPei was speechless. He thought his father would show a little concern because at least, the Bai family used to be a close friend to theirs, but it looks like he had met the wrong person to talk about them.

"I'm sorry..." YingPei said sheepily and got from the couch, intending to leave but was stopped for a little suggestion from his father.

"I don't care about the Bai family, but your grandfather may still be a little compassionate towards them, so you can go ahead and meet him."

YingPei smiled and left straight for Grandfather Fu's study, but he was told the old man was at the lawn.

'Even grandfather can seek for some air.' YingPei thought as he went outside to the lawn to find his old man.

Immediately he saw him sitting on the lawn under a huge umbrella with the dogs around, YingPei made his way there.

"What problem do you have today?" Grandfather Fu asked when they met face to face.

"Grandfather, do I look like someone who will only bring you troubles? I came here for something I'm, and it's not about me." YingPei said.

The old man was used to him always coming to ask for something, and it's always about himself, so he thought it was the same today.

At this moment, Butler Lu who had stepped out for a moment returned.

"Grandfather, have you heard about the rumors making rounds on the internet concerning the Bai family?" YingPei asked.

Grandfather Fu seemed very calm after he mentioned the Bai family, and unexpectedly, he didn't go on to ask what the rumors were all about.

Chapter 642 – A Good Friend

"Tell them, that I will be in attendance." Grandfather Fu's response came after a few moments of silence.

The next day, the Bai family confirmed the passing of their family's matriarch. The public moaned with them and looked forward to welcoming them back to burial their mother.

The next week, the Bai family returned to bury old Mrs. Bai. It was a given that some prominent families graced the burial ceremony, as the Bai's had no fight or disagreement with any of them before leaving.

Bai Jun ruining their reputation was the only thing that forced them to leave.

As for Bai Jun, many speculated if she would attend her grandmother's burial, and some even messaged her, asking about it, but she totally snubbed them.

When the Fu family were asked if they had invited anyone from Bai Fen's family or either invited Bai Fen herself and Bai Jun, they said that they would not invite them, as they were no longer a part of the family.

For being the perpetrators that destroyed the Bai's reputation, they were forbidden to go anywhere near them.

Old Mrs. Bai's burial was successful, and the Bai's we're grateful that the Fu family came to offer their condolences and to give them moral support, for which they were truly grateful.

A few days after Old Mrs. Bai had been laid to rest, the Bai's left the country again, but before then, they had a deep conversation with Grandfather Fu.

"Do you not plan on coming back again?" Grandfather Fu asked while giving a glance to the remaining members of the Bai family especially, to the first son, as he was now the head of the entire family.

The man glanced back at the old man and replied respectfully, "How can we return when we don't have anything left here?"

"You still have something here, and it's very important that you should at least hold on to it." Grandfather Fu replied.

Bai Jun's father asked, "What is it, General Fu?"

Grandfather Fu released a such before responding to that question, "You still have memories here. Don't leave this place because of the troubles others caused for you. Your family has a deep memory here, and I believe that you can't just ignore it."

"Sir, you are right, but given our current situation, we can't afford to stay here. We can't even afford to buy a big home for our family, as our new business hasn't grown to the level to afford it." The third son of the Bai family replied.

Grandfather Fu said almost immediately, "I am not going to tell you what to do, but I just want to let you know that, you still have your mansion intact. I bought it from the businessman you sold it to, so you can always have it back."

This sudden revelation came as a shock to the entire Bai Family as they never would have expected that the old man would buy their home back for them.

Grandfather Fu did this out of the bond between him and his dearest late old friend, old Mr. Bai. He helped not grudge for the Bai's so he wanted to help them by at least securing their home back for them.

The Bai's were truly grateful for the old man's kind gestures. It was as if he knew that they regretted selling their home which held such great memories to them.

Grandfather Fu didn't need them thanking him, and in other to stop them from doing that, he had to threaten them.

"I would truly be unhappy if you keep thanking me."

After saying that to them, he signaled Butler Li to come over with the things in his hands, which happened to be a big envelope.

Grandfather Fu took it from Butler Lu and passed it to the first son of the Bai family.

"Here is the document to your Bai family's mansion, and the keys are in there. Any time you change your mind to come back, you will have a place to stay, and no more house renting."

The Bai family couldn't help thanking the old man again after accepting the big gift he had just bestowed on them.

Grandfather Fu was quiet for a moment before replying in a sad tone, "Bai is indeed lucky to have me as a friend because I'm truly the best. It is not easy to meet and have that one friend that will stay through for you, through thick and thin. And I have always existed for my children and generations to come, to have one at least one friend like me."

Grandfather Fu has always been a strong one, and it was rare to see him emotionally like today. Even his Butler was touched and was almost moved to tears, but he had to comport himself.

"Sir, I supposed that you are worried about your children and grandchildren. You really want them to have a good friend like you, who will always be on the lookout for them whether they are there or gone." Butler Li said as he identified the old man's worry.

Grandfather Fu heaved a sigh. "I know this world is full of betrayal, but I hope they find the right people as friends.. Because having a good friend who is with you in the time of need is better than a brother who would not come through for you."

Chapter 643 – The Old Man's Worries

"I am not sure of my grandchildren and the kind of friends they keep, so that's the reason I try to bring everyone together, per a venture they encounter any troubles they would always have a family to help them, because of the bond."

Grandfather Fu has truly worked hard to make his family united, and that was one of the reasons, and the foremost, he allowed his second son to move back to the family house.

This was also one of the reasons he wanted Fu Hua to move back in to stay for some time, and he truly wished the family will continue to be together even after he was gone.

Grandfather Fu didn't use to be like this in the past. He once had similar traits to his first son, but he was more benevolent, and that was the reason Fu Hua although was cold to outsiders, he was still loving to his family.

Grandfather used to have less time for his family as he was always very busy in the military, so his wife, FJ, was left to run and keep the family together. But when he lost his wife, he had no other choice than to take over, and try and work hard to keep his family together.

As years went by, Grandfather Fu grew more lonely, and so he had to still keep himself busy with military work, while also making sure that his family stayed together.

Getting older, Grandfather Fu's workload reduced greatly, so to get out of loneliness, he had his little great-granddaughter to accompany him sometimes. He had the strawberry garden to take care of. He had a dog to work, and he had some friends to see.

In everything, Grandfather Fu did try to keep himself a little busy, so he wouldn't be that lonely when no family member had time for him when they have their own busy schedule to tend to.

"Sir, it would be good if we don't talk about these things. I'm sure your family will be okay in the future because your lessons have made a great impact on them." Butler Lu said from the side. He didn't want the old man to get emotional, so he tried to stop him.

Grandfather Fu sighed and returned to his active state.

Grandfather Fu was in a little dilemma and didn't know what activity to do with the little girl. He was afraid he could bore her, but luckily, Butler Lu came up with an idea, and that was to play some games with her.

In the middle of playing with her, the little girl's favorite snacks were brought for her, which elated her.

Back in the bedroom of a young couple, they were happily chatting away.

"I think I need to take a shower right now, I feel so hot." Jia Li said as she got off the bed.

"I was about to say that, how did you know what I had in mind?" Fu Hua asked with a surprised gaze.

She was kind of right, but Zhang Junjie had every reason to reject her idea since that was not possible, but something crept up his head, and he decided to take an advantage of his supposed birthday party for something else.

Now everyone was talking about Zhang Junjie's birthday party, and how that day was going to be a turn up for the socialites in the city.

While this was going on all over the internet, Fu Hua's birthday came up, and he literary went to the length of having a vacation with his wife and daughter on a small island, somewhere.

After taking a look at the rings that were locked up in the showcase, Zhang Junjie was a bit dissatisfied, so he said to one of the shop attendants, "Can you show me all the rings you have in store?"

This was not a weird request from a customer, but the attendant had a different suggestion.

"Sir, instead of bringing everything we have to you and having you go through all that trouble of finding something to your taste, why don't you tell us what you want."

"I think that's a good idea." Zhang Junjie said with a relieved smile.

"Oh please, I don't need your help, I can't get around this store myself." Bai Jun replied and turned her face to glance back at Zhang Junjie only to discover that he was gone.

Zhang Junjie, along with the shop attendant had disappeared and this made Bai Jun angry as she beloved that she had missed a huge scoop.

"Is he here to get a ring or to play around with one of the female attendants? Whichever one it is, I really have to find out somehow!" Bai Jun spoke out with a worrisome gaze before fixing a death glare on the attendant who refused to leave her side.

Before Zhang Junjie had left with the shop attendant, he had told her of the kind of ring he wanted, plus the request she had no choice but to carry out, just to help him.

Currently, Zhang Junjie was sitting in a lounge, exclusively belonging to the VIP members.

"Please can you make sure no one comes in here while I'm still here, please I really do not want this on any tabloids?" Zhang Junjie said with a smile to the attendant, who assured him of that.

One of the tricks was to come into a high-end store, take so many pictures with her in different clothes, and end up buying only one, or not even buying any at all after giving several complaints.

Another trick was to get into jewelry stores like this and pretend like she wanted to get something. She would pick whatever she liked and allowed the shop attendants to try them on her, next, she would secretly take pictures of any of the jewelry on her body with her camera shutter and lights off.

Obviously, Bai Jun was performing one of her tricks before she was caught and respectfully asked to leave before a threat came of security being called on her.

Bai Jun was shameless but she still didn't want to be embarrassed as she still wanted to go far with her facade, so she had no choice other than to leave humbly.

After spending four days away from home, the family of three returned to the country. Jasmine went back to school, while Jia Li and Fu Hua returned to work.

Jia Li was already working on her next collection, and she planned to release it before FJ's Autumn Fashion show.

She has spoken to Fu Hua about it, and her new release would also be displayed on that day, so she has got to work hard and put all her efforts into it.

As this two young couple in work did their best at work, they also continued trying to have another child on the bed back at home.

A few days later, Bai Jun figured out of what might be the reason she saw Zhang Junjie at the jewelry store and right at the ring section. He was preparing to propose.

Bai Jun replied angrily, "You don't have the right to tell me how to speak to you. The love of your life who you are not even putting an effort to bring back into your life, will be proposed to in a few days, and by that time, it would be too late for you to play any games, and don't you dare ask for my help or ask me to return all the money you spent on me, because that's not going to happen!"

"She is getting married? It wouldn't be a bad deal if she commits adultery after getting married..." Mark said as he chuckled hard.

"Do you think you can have access to her once she is engaged or even married? You will be used meat if you get close to her because Fu Hua would immediately know that you will be up to no good, and then he will kick your ass, and please forget I ever came into the picture by that time." Bai Jun said ruthlessly.

She was still scared of Fu Hua's ruthless side, and she knew she could get into a lot of trouble if she was ever caught messing with any of the Fu family members again.

She would be as good as dead if Fu Hua finds out about it.

"What are you scared of? I thought you were brave?" Marked asked in a taunting tone.

"I am brave, but I dare not act carelessly like a moron who wouldn't think properly and weigh situations before acting!" Bai Jun replied.

Mark was quiet for a while before asking breathlessly, "Are you in any way calling me a moron? Do you want me to cut off your life support so you can go live in the gutters and beg like a beggar that you are? Do you really want to be punished for being rude to me?"

Bai Jun scoffed, "It looks like your male ego and pride is getting ahead of you, and I can see one of the reasons your white a** was dumped. Zhang Junjie's birthday party will be happening in 6 days. If you are still interested in chasing FangSu, then you have to be in China in 4 days so we can co clue our plans. In the meantime, send me a signal for your seriousness by sending me every evidence that stands a chance to prove that you and FangSu had been together in the past."

Without saying goodbye, Bai Jun disconnected the call and threw her phone on the bed before going to her desk to turn on her laptop.

"Did this b*tch just hang up on me?! Who the hell does she think she is?!"

It was an easy task helping FangSu out for the party. She was happy to be entrusted to be her stylist.

Soon, Jia Li got ready to leave her bedroom after getting dressed, and she almost ran into Jasmine who was running towards her.

"Mummy, are you going out?" Jasmine asked with her gaze on her. Seeing her mother dressed not so casually, prompted her to ask that question.

The little girl was observant and was able to tell when someone was dressed to go out after seeing their outfits.

"No, I'm going to see your daddy, do you know where he is?" Jia Li asked with a warm smile.

How could Jia Li tell her that she was going out? It's not like she wanted to hear, 'Mummy I want to follow you!'

Jasmine pointed behind her saying, "In the study. Mummy, let's go there together." As Jasmine said that, she took her mother's hand and pulled her towards Fu Hua's study.

When Fu Hua saw Jia Li dressed up with her bag, he opened his mouth and was about to ask the same question Jasmine had asked her earlier, but Jia Li shushed him on time.

"Darling, can you keep an eye on Jasmine, while I pick out some outfits for FangSu?" Jia Li asked.

"Get me all of FJ's collections from last year, including my sister-in-law's collection," FangSu said to the attendant before turning to wink at Jia Li who shook her head with a smile.

Soon, tea and snacks were brought for them, along with the collections FangSu asked for.

"Sister-in-law, the clothes are here, please come quickly and help me pick two different outfits," FangSu said while clapping her hands excitedly.

"What kind of birthday party are you going to? Where is the location?" Jia Li asked.

"A club," FangSu replied immediately.

"My collections won't be good for that kind of party, so leave it aside." Jia Li said as she got to her feet and walked towards the clothing racks that were wheeled into the room.

"There is no problem, I can just pick one from your collection as my second outfit," FangSu said with a smile.

Since Jia Li's clothing launch, she has only gotten one of the outfits from her collection, and she planned to get another one so she can wear it to a conference she had outside the country by next month.

Jia Li didn't take that much time before she picked some clothes for her, and while doing that she asked some questions.

"What kind of makeup will you be putting on, have you made our choices yet?"

"Show me the hairstyle for the party."

With her reply, Jia Li was able to pick five clothes for her to try on.

"Try them on, let's see which one best suits you."

Each outfit FangSu tried on, was paired with a bag and a shoe, and so, it took over an hour for her to try everything on, before going to join Jia Li on the sofa.

After downing a cup of tea, FangSu said to Jia Li who was watching with a smile, "Which outfit do you think suits me more?"

"Let's see..." Jia Li said while going through the picture one of the attendants helped FangSu to take.

After a minute contemplation, Jia Li picked one for her.

"What a relief," FangSu said with a sigh of relief.

At the end of their shopping, FangSu who said she only wanted two outfits, ended up picking two more from the FJ collection.

What could Jia Li say to her? Absolutely, nothing.

From the high-end store, FangSu dragged Jia Li to go pick out some jewelry, before going to the spa.

"You know it will take us almost 2-3 hours to get out of here?" Jia Li asked when they stepped foot into the spa house.

Chapter 647 – Are You Pregnant?

"Don't worry, we won't take that much time, because I'm getting hungry already. At least, the snacks we were served in those stores would be enough for the spa duration." FangSu replied.

In the high-end clothing store, they went to, they were served tea and snacks. At the jewelry store, they were also served some snacks and tea as well if not, they would have been very hungry and exhausted.

Jia Li followed FangSu in, and after her reservation was confirmed, they were taken to the inner room and given clothes to change into, before they were brought into the room to get their facials done.

After enjoying an hour of facial spa, they were given some massages, and Jia Li was most grateful for that because she really needed it.

On their way to a restaurant, FangSu said to her, "You really need to come to the spa for massages at least two times a month if you don't have time."

"Even if I get some time off, will that little gummy girl let me come out without her?" Jia Li said with a sigh. FangSu couldn't help chuckling softly.

"You think is fun?" Jia Li asked with furrowed brows.

FangSu couldn't stop laughing, but she managed to say this in-between laughter, "I think Da Xia is so adorable, and who wouldn't want a beautiful girl like her?"

"Just wait till you become a mother. You will find out that your child wouldn't have anything to do with adorable when he or she annoys you." Jia Li responded.

All children were adorable, most especially from far. The parents of the children are the only ones enduring their good and annoying times.

When the children and beginning to piss their parents off, at that moment, they are no longer seen as adorable, but annoying, so that's what Jia Li was trying to say.

"If Da Xia is a handful, why are you trying to have another child?" FangSu asked.

Jia Li smiled and said in reply, "Children are adorable."

FangSu couldn't help pointing at her while laughing hard. She couldn't believe she would give that reply after complaining only a moment ago.

Jia Li was scared she would cause an accident, so she said to her in a hurried tone, "FangSu, please keep your eyes on the road, I haven't reached the peak of my success yet."

FangSu burst out into laughter and ended up parking before she could cause an accident. She only started driving again when she had full control of her emotions.

"I bet you're not hungry, or you wouldn't be laughing that hard. Where did you get your strength from?" Jia Li asked with her gaze on her.

"I have a lot of stamina and I'm used to not eating a lot, so..."

Jia Li nodded and fixed her gaze back to the road.

FangSu glanced at her and turned her gaze back to the road. She had a personal question to ask, so she cleared her throat and got ready to ask that question.

"Sister-in-law, are you sure you are not pregnant?"

"Pregnant? Because I'm hungry?" Jia Li asked.

"Oh! sorry!" FangSu apologized immediately and faced her front. She didn't dare you to make any other comment until they got to the restaurant.

On their way back home, Jia Li couldn't help commenting on how they spent their day.

"You really spent a lot of money on the different VIP sections we used today."

All the places they entered, they used their VIP section including the restaurant. FangSu indeed spent a lot of money today.

FangSu answered with a confident smile, "Some days, spending my money to take care of myself, makes me happy, and besides, I am not afraid of being broke. This is one of the advantages of being the last child of a wealthy family."

"Your confidence is without a doubt." Jia Li replied.

FangSu was the last child of a rich family when it came to their generation. She had a rich grandfather, father, and brother. She also had a good job that earned her thousands of dollars each month.

Even if she mistakenly spends all her money, her family would be there to help her. She also had two cousins who had their own money, so of course, she had nothing to worry about. And let's not talk about her rich boyfriend.

"I didn't lose any part of my memory. I just don't want to spend the little money I have left on you." Bai Jun replied.

Mark laughed because she said she had only a little money left. "I thought you had lots of money, because the other day, you posted so expensive jewelry you got for yourself."

Bai Jun got annoyed and said to him angrily, "Is it fun to make jest of me? You are asking a stupid question when you know that I don't have any other source of income apart from you."

"You are relying on me and still living a fake life, what will happen to you when I'm out of your life?" Mark asked.

He really wanted to know what her response would be.. Since she got out of prison, he has been the one taking care of her.

Chapter 648 Zhang Junjie makes a formal visit to Fu Hua

"And that is the reason I won't use the money I earned to sponsor you. You now have to pay for everything single thing yourself." Bai Jun said.

She has come to realize that if Mark achieves his goal, he would no longer be supporting her. If he is out of life, she will no longer have any support. And because of this, she would make Mark pay for everything he needs.

Mark chuckled and glanced at her, "I won't pay for the car hire, instead I will foot all your bills from now till I leave China."

If he was not going to give her monthly pay, then there was no need for him not to pay for the car hire.

"Sure. Do we have a deal?" Mask asked with a smirk turned up on his lips.

"Deal!" Bai Jun said as she turned on the car's engine and drove them away from the airport.

Now that they had a fair deal, she had also agreed to let go of his debts. The money that will be used to cover her expenses for the duration of his stay, will be enough to cover his debts.

The same day that Mark landed in China, was the same day that Zhang Junjie went on a formal visit to FJ. He went with his birthday invitation card to formally invite Fu Hua to the event.

Fu Hua knew he was coming, so once he set foot into the company, he was directly taken straight to the floor Fu Hua's office was located. And from there, Zimo took him into Fu Hua's office.

When Fu Hua saw him, he paused his current work, putting all papers aside.

After Zhang Junjie had greeted him, Fu Hua pointed to the sofa for him to sit over there, before joining him soon.

"What did you come for? A personal or a business matter?" Fu Hua asked as he crossed his legs.

A small smile appeared on Zhang Junjie's face as he brought forth a bottle of expensive wine and an invitation card.

"I came for a personal visit. I know it's late, but I wanted to formally invite you for my birthday party this Saturday."

Fu Hua took the invitation card from him while replying, "I already told you that I won't come. I want to rest on that day."

"I know you said so, but I still want you to come because your presence is very important. This won't be just a birthday party for me." Zhang Junjie said while at the same time, hinting at something.

"Oh!" Fu Hua exclaimed in a low tone. "What other event will take place?" Fu Hua asked with an interested gaze on him.

"I am going to propose to Susu on that day. I already got the ring a few days ago." Zhang Junjie revealed. Next, he put his hand in the inside pocket of his suit jacket and took out a small box.

"You are going to propose to FangSu, does she know about it?" Fu Hua asked as he took the ring box from him and opened it.

"No, she is not aware of my plans because it is a surprise. We have already talked about marriage, and she is ready to settle down with me." Zhang Junjie said.

There was no way he would propose to FangSu if she was not ready for marriage. The two had talked about marriage in their conversation, and they were both okay and ready to settle down.

"You really know my sister's taste. She likes flashy jewelry." Fu Hua said with a smile.

"I put much thought into selecting the ring because I do not want to give her something she wouldn't like even though she would accept it." Zhang Junjie replied.

Fu Hua returned the ring to him with a smile. "I have seen your invitation card, I will consider it."

Before Fu Hua didn't think too much about it because he thought it was a normal birthday party. And besides, he planned to take a long rest. Now, things had turned around, he would have to consider making an appearance.

Some minutes later, Zhang Junjie thanked Fu Hua and left.

When Fu Hua can't back home that day, he couldn't keep his eyes off FangSu who was oblivious to her boyfriend's plans.

When she saw that he was free, she even came to remind him about it.

"Brother, please try and free up your schedule from 6-8 pm on Saturday, I really want you to come for my boyfriend's birthday celebration. It would be good if you sure your support this way."

"You even have the guts to call Zhang Junjie your boyfriend instead of calling him by his name." Fu Hua said with his hands in his trouser pockets.

Meixu drove Mark straight to the hotel she reserved for him and escorted him straight to his room.

Meixu did not leave until she has had dinner and gotten a transfer from him for the hotel reservation.

"When do we go on with our plans?" Mark asked.

Bai Jun checked her phone before saying, "I will come tomorrow by 9 am, keep my share of breakfast."

Marked waved at her before going into the inner room.

When Fu Hua returned to her apartment, she called someone and asked if the pictures she sent had been printed in the number of copies she requested.

The person gave her positive feedback, and the caused her to smile. She went on to give out the address for the parcel to be delivered.

The next day, Bai Jun went to the hotel to meet Mark, along with a big envelope. When she met him eating his breakfast, she sat down and joined him shamelessly, and Mark had to order for more.

Chapter 649 Clash

Mark caught sight of the big envelope in her possession and asked as he looked away, "What do you have there?"

"The pictures you sent to me." Bai Jun replied.

"You mean the pictures of FangSu and me?" Mark inquired.

"Yes. I made a few copies of them." Bai Jun replied.

Mark paused with his breakfast and demanded, "What are your plans?"

Bai Jun chuckled softly and made Mark a little impatient with her silence before deciding to reveal her plans.

"We are storming FangSu's boyfriend's birthday party tomorrow, and we are going to give them these gifts."

"You mean giving out these photographs to their guests? Would it work?" Mark asked with a frown. He had some doubts as to whether Bai Jun's plans would work.

"How do you expect the effect to be immediate? But something will surely happen. I saw Zhang Junjie at the ring section in a jewelry store, and I think he is planning to propose to FangSu tomorrow, and that's if he hasn't proposed already." Bai Jun revealed.

Mark was truly bothered by now after hearing that Zhang Junjie was planning to propose to the woman he wanted to win back into his life.

"It would be good if he hasn't proposed, we have to stall for time," Mark said.

"Then you have to put in more effort." Bai Jun said with a serious gaze on him. She didn't just want the planned proposal to be paused, she wanted it to be canceled forever.

"FangSu has been dating Zhang Junjie for 2 years now, and the time she has spent with him is way longer than the 3 months she spent with your so you should know that you are in for."

FangSu only spent 3 months with Mark before she found out who he really was, and so she left him. She has been dating Zhang Junjie for 2 years now, which was way longer than the time she spent with Mark so obviously, the bond she shared with her now-boyfriend, was stronger than the former.

Mark thought for a while before replying, "I know what to do. Your plans will store the engagement plans, and during this period they would be apart, I would use that opportunity to infiltrate and try to win FangSu back."

"Good, now here is how tomorrow will be... The party will kick off by 6 pm at XXXXX club, so we have to be there before time to be allowed entrance. Otherwise, we would never make it in there." Bai Jun said with furrowed brows.

"I'm very confident that even if we come late, we would be allowed entrance. Have you forgotten my identity?" Mark said with a confident gaze.

As if just realizing Mark's real identity, Bai Jun relaxed with a big smile on her face.

"How did you find out about the venue and time for Mr. Zhang's party?"

Mark was very curious about her means as he began to think if she also had some connections now.

Bai Jun chuckled and said, "I am very smart."

Mark scoffed and picked up his cup of coffee to drink from it. "As if!"

"You can make fun of me all you want, but you can't deny that I am smart."

"Says the woman who was sentenced to prison because of her foolishness," Mark said unapologetically.

Bai Jun's face twisted with a frown because of his words, and she didn't bother to hold back and made jest of him as revenge.

"Am I the only young person who has been in jail? Even with your background, you still went to jail."

Mark was not angry with her, instead, he laughed out loud. "We are very different and can never be compared with each other. I was in jail for 2 months, but I never lacked anything. It looked just as if I was on a house rest. What was my discomfort? I put on jail clothes and stayed there for 2 months without seeing the light of day."

If Bai Jun wanted to compare their experiences in jail, she would fail outrightly.

As Mark said, the only discomfort he had, was staying indoors for 2 months while in the prison uniform.

Bai Jun felt insulted and speechless and ended up revealing how she found out about the venue and time for Zhang Junjie's birthday party.

It turned out that because of her plans, she has been working so hard towards it. When the rumors about Zhang Junjie's birthday party started spreading, Bai Jun saw the perfect opportunity t carry out their plans.

Chapter 650 Ready for the party

"Are you going?" Jia Li asked with a questionable gaze.

"Yes." Came Fu Hua's reply as he took off his cufflinks and made his way into the walk-in closet. Jia Li followed him immediately.

"I thought you wanted to relax the whole of Saturday?" She asked.

"Mmm... but I changed my mind after Zhang Junjie came to FJ." Fu Hua said while taking off his tie and throwing it on the couch.

Jia Li picked up his necktie and put it inside the laundry basket. "He is really so nice by coming straight to your office to invite you formally after rejecting him on phone."

"There is another reason to my agreement. He came to my office with the ring he wants to propose to FangSu with. He sure has a good taste." Fu Hua said with a small smile as he proceeded to unbutton his shirt.

"What? Are you serious?" Jia Li asked for confirmation. She was really surprised with Zhang Junjie's plans for a surprise engagement party slash birthday party, which will be a big deal.

"That guy is so thoughtful. Because he wants to surprise my sister at his birthday party, I have decided that we will be there. Let's go see that look of surprise on that little girl's face." Fu Hua said with a smirk.

Jia Li was truly surprised by his childish reason. Any normal sibling would want to celebrate with his sister, but he was going for the fun of it.

"I can't believe you could be so childish."

Fu Hua took off his shirt and went on to unbuckle his belt while replying, "Do you want to know what else I can do?"

"No thank you. Please take your shower quickly so you can give me 5 minutes of your time before dinner." Jia Li said as she picked up his shirt and put it into the laundry basket before leaving the space.

Currently, at the Zhang Villa, Zhang Junjie was starting at the same engagement ring he got from the jewelry store. He was looking at it with a slight smile on his face as some pictures popped up in his head.

He was imagining FangSu's reaction to the surprise engagement party being thrown for her. In fact, this was not only going to be a surprise for her, but also to their friends.

"FangSu, I'm coming." Zhang Junjie confessed with a smile as his fantasies ended.

Finally, the next day being Saturday came. And soon, it was 5 pm already, and most of the Fu brethren were getting ready for the party.

Meixu who has been away from home for a few days now returned and was also getting ready for the party.

"Is your boyfriend coming?" FangSu asked.

"Yes, I asked him to come to show some support. Why did you ask?" Meixu confronted as she applied a nude-colored lipstick on her lips.

"No reason in particular, but I was worried about you being fed dog food, so I needed you to have a company." FangSu joked.

Meixu didn't take her words to heart. Instead, she smiled and asked, "How old am I to accept being fed dog food?"

"I'm glad you wouldn't have been affected. I will join you in your car." FangSu said to her.

"Why would you join me in my car? Do you know the time I would want to go to your party? If you want to be late for your boyfriend's party, wait for me." Meixu said as she smacked her lips.

"You should come on time because we are going to kick off the party by 6. If you are not going now, why would you be dressed now, I mean it's still early with your logic." FangSu stated.

Meixu closed her lipstick and put it back in its container before saying to her, "Yeah, I dressed so early because I'm going to have a chat with my boyfriend and he is coming to pick me up in 12 minutes."

"I see, it's always so nice to have your boyfriend pick you up for an activity or event despite having your own car," FangSu said with a big smile.

Soon, the two Fu sisters left the Fu mansion in their boyfriend's cars.

As for Fu Hua and Jia Li, they just started to get dressed now. They two have been busy in their study, so it took them some time to round up.

Before Jia Li and Fu Hua could come out of their rooms, YingPei and Ling were ready to leave, but they got delayed because of their conversation which made Jia Li and Fu Hua catch up with them.

"What about your girlfriend?" YingPei asked as he checked Ling out. He was looking at his choice of outfit. A suit?

Long was adjusting his tie when this question was asked. His fingers paused for 2 seconds before he continued with his actions. "Why are you asking about her?"

"You know, she would have good you that it's weird going to the club in a business suit for a casual event. Did you think you were going to a birthday party to meet some investors?" YingPei asked with a grin.

"Well, I don't have a girlfriend now, we broke up," Ling replied.

YingPei looked away from him saying, "Well, you can always patch things up. Some broken things are also useful."

"What do you mean? You don't understand the kind of relationship we shared." Ling said with scrunched-up brows.

"Well, it is exactly because I do not the kind of relationship you have with your ex-girlfriend or fake ex-girlfriend, that I'm saying this," YingPei replied.

If he knew exactly what kind of relationship they had, he would be in a better position to advise him.

Soon, Jia Li and Fu Hua walked in on them. YingPei and Ling were not exactly surprised to see that Fu Hua agreed to go to the party but at his choice of outfit.

They had thought that someone like him who only cares about business, would be dressed in a business suit, but he was dressed casually. Or let's say he made an effort to make his outfit casual.

Chapter 651 Party Crashers

Fu Hua was only putting on an elbow-length shirt with jeans and a pair of black shoes.

Seeing the surprised gaze of his brother and cousin, Fu Hua's brows creased in a frown. Then he glanced at himself and seeing nothing wrong, he asked, "Why are you two staring at me like that?"

YingPei had to give a reply, "We were not expecting you to know the right way to dress for this club party. I bet it wasn't you that made the choice because I know you."

After YingPei pointed this out, he glanced at Jia Li with a smirk, "Sister-in-law, I'm sure you helped him out with his outfit. That couldn't have been easy."

Jia Li smiled and pointed out how effortlessly it was for her.

"It wasn't difficult getting him to change from this outfit," She said while pointing at Ling, "To something close to this." She continued as she pointed at YingPei.

"Oh, I see..." YingPei and Ling exclaimed at the same time.

"If we keep standing here, we are going to be very late, and that wouldn't look good as big brothers that are coming to show their support." Fu Hua said as he took Jia Li's hand and led her out of the house. YingPei and Ling followed suit.

Outside the house, Zimo was waiting for them. Fu Hua had called him to drive him to the party as he planned on drinking a lot bit. But even with a little bit of alcohol, he didn't plan on driving.

As Zimo drove Fu Hua and Jia Li out of the house, YingPei and Ling followed in their sports cars.

At the club, the party just got started. FangSu's friends and Zhang Junjie's friends were already present in the large VIP room that was booked for the party.

The decorators really needed a round of applause for the birthday decorations with a tip of a club vibe.

Loud music was playing and Zhang Junjie took FangSu's hand and lead her to the dance fall. These two have been dating for a while now, so they were not shy about dancing in front of their friends.

Meanwhile, Bai Jun and Mark were already in the club, and thanks to their coming earlier, they didn't have to go past the security in front of the hallway leading to the VIP big room where the party was ongoing.

"I think it's time to show up! Everyone is having a good time now, let's ruin everything." Bai Jun said as she waved the big envelope in her hand.

Currently, the two were sitting in a small VIP room Mark had paid for.

"I think it's time. I know you want to get your revenge by separating FangSu and her boyfriend, and I also want the same thing because want FangSu back to my side. I just hope your words and actions in there won't make FangSu hate me the more." Mark cautioned.

He knew Bai Jun's goal, so he had to warn her early enough before he ruins an opportunity for him.

Bai Jun replied with a smile, "She already hates you, and if more hate is added, it doesn't make a big difference, but relax my aim is to sow a discord between those two lovers.".

Her last sentence totally kicked away Mark's plans on scolding her.

Soon, the two of them were on their way to the room the birthday party was happening. Since there was no one standing at the door, they opened the door and went in.

Soon enough, Bai Jun's presence was noticed, including Mark who was standing beside her with his gaze on a particular person on the dance floor.

FangSu was still dancing with Zhang Junjie and was still unaware of Bai Jun's presence. It was when she and her boyfriend changed their positions and faced the door, that they saw they welcomed guests.

FangSu was more shocked on seeing Mark than Bai Jun.

"What the???" FangSu exclaimed with her mouth agape.

"Did you invite them?" Zhang Junjie asked with a big frown sitting on his face.

"Why would I???" FangSu asked, almost angrily at the situation in front of her.

"Then I will call the security!" Zhang Junjie said and whipped out his phone to make a call, but Bai Jun speculated his actions and walked towards them with Mark.

"Hold on for 2 minutes, and we will be out. We came here for something very important." Bai Jun said with a big smile while exchanging glances with the pissed-off FangSu and Zhang Junjie.

FangSu scoffed and asked, "Do you know I could have you arrested for intruding into our privacy, because obviously, you don't have an invitation card, so get out!!!"

Bai Jun found her words funny. "Why are you in such a hurry to send us away, you should calm down, and the sooner the better. And if you have us arrested, your boyfriend here will take care of the matter with a snap of his fingers."

Because of Bai Jun's presence, the guests' attention was attracted, and they couldn't help coming closer to find out the reason she was there.

Meixu was also present and was chatting with Shi Qiao, was also surprised to see Bai Jun and Mark whom she didn't recognize.

"Is that not Bai Jun? And who is that man beside her? What are they doing here?" Shi Qiao asked with borrowed brows?

He too was very surprised with their presence, given the bad history between them and the Fu family.

"Obviously, these two are on a mission to crash this party, let me go deal with these party crashers," Meixu said as she got up with her glance of wine and walked towards the crowd.

"Miss Bai are you nuts for addressing my ex-boyfriend my boyfriend?" FangSu asked with a death glare.

"And you Mark, can you be proud to tell everyone here that you were doing drugs and hid it from me, and not until you were arrested by the police did I find out your secret."

Mark wasn't expecting that FangSu would reveal his secret, so he was tongue-tied, but luckily, he had Bai Jun there to turn things around.

Bai Jun scoffed and said to FangSu, "Why are you trying to change the topic? If you are talking about your boyfriend's secret, are you trying to tell me that you never had any idea about it? Are you sure the reason you abandoned him, was not because he was found out by the police because you were so into him back then?"

FangSu couldn't believe her ears. The accusation was too much and she was very angry, so lifted her hand to slap Bai Jun, but Zhang Junjie held her back.

"Are you trying to hit me? Let me tell you that I am no longer the same person you knew before, and you can't just hit me whenever you feel like it. Be careful of getting sued for assault!" Bai Jun said while rolling her eyes at her.

She felt that now that she had Mark on her side, and with his help, she could sue FangSu for assault, and even drag into a bigger mess.

While this commotion was ongoing, Shi Qiao quickly whipped out his phone to make a call at a secluded corner, while Meixu walked up behind Bai Jun and Meixu.

Without any notice, Meixu quickly snatched the big envelope in Bai Jun's hands, which came as a shock to her (Bai Jun) and to the surprise of others.

As the envelope was taken from her, Bai Jun tried to snatch it back, but Meixu handed it to someone else and pushed Bai Jun away.

"Look at this reckless fool. You storm into someone's party uninvited, and instead of begging for forgiveness and leaving, you are trying to crash the party, I mean, which intelligent fool can do this?"

Meixu's entrance was a shock to Bai Jun more than Mark who didn't know who Meixu was. Bai Jun was not expecting any member of the Fu family to attend Zhang Junjie's party.

Also, she has had a clash with Meixu in the past, and she knew how tough she was, so she was a little scared of her.

"Who are you?" Mark asked with a frown as he faced Meixu with a sinister gaze.

Meixu smiled at him and answered, "Hello, drug addict, have you had your medicine today?"

Meixu's way of greeting was very funny and interesting, so much that the angry FangSu joined the others to laugh.

This insult was a big disgrace to Mark, who wasn't expecting to be shamed by Meixu right after FangSu exposed his secret to everyone.

"Meixu, do you know who he is? I doubt you will still stand there to talk after finding out who his family is?" Bai Jun said with a smug look after regaining her stance.

Mark seemed to have gotten a foothold after Bai Jun said that for the next moment, he said to Meixu, "That's right, you don't know who I am, so I will let this slide, otherwise, you would have been in a big trouble because I do hold grudges!!"

Meixu scoffed after staring at him like he was a big idiot.

"Dear drug addict, what I know is that you and that wench that is playing with your brains, are in for a big shit if you don't leave here this minute. And I don't care who your family is, because they can not be compared with the Fu family. I heard your family is related to the state government in the States, but guess what, we are related to a bigger shack, so I think you should go back home to do your assignments!!"

At this point, Bai Jun stepped in. She couldn't stand the fact that Meixu appeared from nowhere to ruin her well-crafted plans.

"Fu Meixu, if you were a good person, you should be advising Mr. Zhang here not to marry your cousin as she is a woman of questionable character. I'm sure there is still some humanity left in you, and it would be good if you stop her from destroying someone else's life!"

"Bai Jun, enough of your nonsense and get out of here if you don't want to appear on the news in a more fashionable manner." FangSu threatened angrily. She really wanted to hit Bai Jun in the face, but her boyfriend was still holding unto her tightly.

"I will leave, but after exposing your true character." Bai Jun said with a triumphant smile. She was getting more and more arrogant because she felt that Zhang Junjie would really rethink his actions of proposing to FangSu.

After not seeing any ring yet on FangSu's finger, she concluded that the proposal hasn't yet happened, otherwise, there would have been a ring, and FangSu would already be showing it off to the media, so she wanted to seize this opportunity to end things before it even started.

Meixu smiled and said while exchanging glances with Mark and Bai Jun, "Actually, you should just be truthful for once in your life and say that you cane to crash this party because then, I would shake your hands for being courageous, but you are a coward."

"Whatever you choose to call me, go ahead. But it will not stop me from saying what I want to say!." Bai Jun said.

Zhang Junjie who had been quiet all this while, finally said to Bai Jun, "What other nonsense do you have to say? I know all about FangSu's past, and even if there is more that I don't know, I would never ask you for help, so get out of my party right now!"

While Zhang Junjie was saying that, Shi Qiao gave someone a sign to go out and call the bodyguards, and the person left sneakily.

Bai Jun on the other hand, still wanted to give Zhang Junjie reasons he should not associate with FangSu anymore, but just then, three security guards walked into the room and quickly made their way towards them.

"Take these people away and throw them out of here!" Zhang Junjie said while pointing at Bai Jun and Mark.

Immediately, the three bodyguards got a hold of them, but Mark shrugged off the hands that were put on him.

"Don't put your hands on me, I will see myself out!"

Mark wasn't allowed to go out of that room a free man. Two of the bodyguards held his arms and pulled him away, while the other bodyguard, dragged Bai Jun along.

Even while being pulled away, Bai Jun didn't back down. She still said to Zhang Junjie as she was still being pulled out of the room.

"Zhang Junjie, you are making a big mistake by being with a woman like FangSu. You deserve better!!! She already has you wrapped around her fingers, so you can't see clearly!"

"Thank you, and it is nice being wrapped around her fingers!" Zhang Junjie said in reply with a calm gaze.

"You!!!" Bai Jun said angrily for she was not expecting that kind of reply.

Her plans have failed!!!

At the same time that Mark and Bai Jun were being dragged out of the room, Fu Hua, Jia Li, YingPei, Ling, and Zimo made their way towards the VIP area.

Now, these five people, met these two people at the door, to the surprise of everyone.

Bai Jun who was acting arrogantly some minutes ago, completely melted with Fu Hua's appearance. Fu Hua was the last person she was expecting to be present at Zhang Junjie's party. He was the same man that sent her to jail, and right now, he had caught her red-handed trying to crash his future brother-in-law's party.

Wouldn't she be in real shit this time around just like Meixu jar said earlier?

With Fu Hua's presence, the bodyguards stopped and waited for Fu Hua and his entourage to pass through the door first, before pulling Mark and Bai Jun out of the room.

Because Fu Hua didn't take a step further into the room, nobody moved an inch, and quickly the people inside noticed his appearance. Surprise and relief filled their hearts.

Bai Jun tried to hide her face, but it was too late because Fu Hua just spared her a millisecond glance before moving he gave over to Mark.

After staring at Mark for a second, Fu Hua's face turned stern before moving his gaze to Zimo.

"Is he the Mark you talked about?"

Immediately he asked that question, Mark and Bai Jun who was still held by the bodyguards froze.

Did Fu Hua know Mark? How did he come to know Mark? Has he found out about their plans?

There were some of the questions that were going through Bai Jun's head.

"Yes, he is," Zimo replied immediately.

"As expected, they were up to no good." Fu Hua said before taking Jia Li's hands and walking into the room.

YingPei and Ling glanced at the captives and shook their heads before going into the room. Zimo didn't even bother to look at them before going into the room.

Bai Jun was more shocked than Mark because it just dawned on her that Fu Hua has been monitoring them. His words and actions were proof that he knew who Mark was, and he was also aware of their plans.

Bai Jun turned pale and allowed herself to be dragged away, and she remained silent even when Mark asked her some questions because he too was going crazy.

The questions running through his head was not too different from the one going on in Bai Jun's head.

Outside the club, Bai Jun and Mark did not make it to their ride, because they were arrested right outside the doors, by the police whom Shi Qiao had contacted earlier.

The police didn't know Mark, but through Bai Jun they knew him, and so arrested them.

Shi Qiao had told them that Bai Jun came to crash their party with a young gentleman as an accomplice. He also told them, that the two were together.

When the police saw them, they walked up to them because they recognized Bai Jun. They had asked Mark if he was Mark to confirm the name that was given to them.

Mark said he was going to call his lawyer and he kept shouting if they knew who he was, while Bai Jun remained quiet because she was humbled by the situation. She was truly afraid of the police now, after spending some time in jail.

Chapter 654 Getting Married

While still holding Jia Li's hands, Fu Hua whispered to Zimo.

"Tell the Chief to keep them there till tomorrow, no bail should be granted to them, tonight."

Zimo took his instructions and left to make a call, while Jia Li looked on in awe.

"Why are you staring at me, is there something on my face?" Fu Hua asked with a smiling gaze on her.

"No... just remind me to never step on your toes." Jia Li said and looked away, just before FangSu, Meixu, Shi Qiao and Zhang Junjie came to welcome them.

How did Fu Hua know that the duo was arrested? Well, the police were already outside when they arrived.

In fact, when Fu Hua found out from them of the reason they were there, he told them to wait outside, as if knowing that the bodyguards will drag Mark and Bai Jun outside.

With Fu Hua's presence, the party went into full swing, and everyone forgot about Mark and Bai Jun who came to ruin the party.

The goal of today's party is to propose to FangSu, and only a bunch of people knew about it. So 30 minutes into the time Fu Hua arrived, Zhang Junjie got on one knee.

"What are you doing?" FangSu quivered. She didn't know the reason he was doing this, but at the same time, something was telling her that this was a big deal.

Zhang Junjie didn't give her a verbal answer. His answer was pulling out the engagement ring he got for her from his pocket, and raising it in front of her, while their guests stared in surprise.

Out of everyone present, only Fu Hua and Jia weren't surprised. As did the rest, gasps are shocks escaped from their mouth, and some of them couldn't help filming this process.

"Susu, marry me!" Zhang Junjie said with a determined tone, not forgetting to flash a smile.

No matter how surprised FangSu was, this was one moment in her life that she has been waiting for. She quickly pulled herself together after jumping around out of joy and stretched her left hand towards him.

Zhang Junjie quickly fixed the ring on her finger and got to his feet before embracing her.

"Thank you!!!" FangSu said as she hugged him back, while their guests gave them a round of applause while cheering for them.

"She seems so happy!" Jia Li from the side with a happy smile, while fixing her gaze on the newly engaged couple.

"I hope she knows what she is getting herself into." Fu Hua whispered. His response caused Jia Li to bump his arm.

"What are you speaking like it's not a good thing to get married?"

"It's a good thing to get married, but I hope she is ready for the aspect of the married life." Fu Hua replied with his gaze on his little sister.

Jia Li smiled as she gazed at him, "We are all here to help her."

Fu Hua who had a calm gaze earlier, and for whatever reason, his brows were furrowed right now. He couldn't help by glancing at his wife to ask with a horrified gaze, "Wait, is the way I will give my daughter out in the future?"

His facial expression was funny, and Jia Li couldn't help bursting into laughter, which attracted a little attention from the people standing a little close to them.

"What? Is this funny to you?" Fu Hua asked with a frown. To him, this was a serious matter, but his beloved wife didn't take him seriously, and was instead, laughing t him from the side.

"What do you expect me to do other than laugh? I can't be sad after seeing how serious your gaze looked just now. Anyway, our daughter still has a long time to spend with us, so relax." Jia Li said, trying to calm his emotions.

'So I'm really going to entrust my daughter to another man in the future?' Fu Hua thought to himself.

On the other side, YingPei and Ling were discussing what just happened.

"Did that girl just get engaged right in front of us?" YingPei asked as he turned to look at Ling.

"It seems so," Ling replied with a small smile.

YingPei shut his eyes and opened them. Fixing his gaze back to FangSu, he said, "I don't know why I can't be happy. Our grandfather will give us an earful by tomorrow morning. I mean, now he is going to not stop talking about us and our relationships."

"What is there to be scared of? You can say that you are taking your time. Tonight is a night to be happy, it's time to toast, why don't we go do that as a sign of goodwill?"

Right after saying that, Fu Ling walked towards FangSu and Zhang Junjie to give them a toast, and YingPei had no choice but to follow him.

FangSu couldn't express how happy she was with this surprise engagement ring and party from Zhang Junjie, and she couldn't hide her emotions. She kept laughing with her friends and anyone that walked up to her. She was very nice this evening.

When YingPei went up to give them a post, he made a comment. "How can you be getting married when I haven't even done a formal introduction with my girlfriend?"

"That's because you are slow. But relax, you will soon catch up with me." FangSu teased.

"Good for you..." Ling commented from the side.

After the two Fu brothers shifted away, YingPei said to Ling, "You are still in the mode to have fun after breaking up with your fake girlfriend?"

"As you said, she was a fake girlfriend, and I didn't want her to be anymore. My situation is much better because I don't want to lie anymore." Fu Ling replied with a distant gaze.

"Then I am in a more lucky situation. My fake relationship turned out to be real. We first started as friends, and now, we are a couple. I wish you luck in finding the perfect life partner." YingPei said with a path on his shoulder.

Chapter 655 in Jail

Fu Ling said with his gaze on him, "Forget it, I have already found someone and I just have to make my intentions known."

Now, YingPei was in for some more revelation, but Ling just left him there.

Zimo who had come outside to relay Fu Hua's instructions through a call came back some minutes later and joined in the party.

As for Mark and Bai Jun, they were immediately out in different cells, without any formality or questioning. This act pissed Mark off.

"Ya! Do you all know who I am?? You said I have a right to a lawyer and a bail, so why are you not getting right down to your work? Why am I locked up here?!! Are you afraid that I can't afford any of my rights???"

One of the police officers came walked close to his cell and told him this... "Who said we don't know you can afford your rights?"

"Then why are you not letting me contact my lawyer or bail myself out?" Mark asked angrily. He couldn't stand spending another minute in that cell with two other people in there.

"That's because we are off duty, so we will visit your case tomorrow." The police officer replied with a cheeky smile.

"What!!! Does that mean we have to spend the night in here???" Bai Jun asked in shock. The cell she was put in, was next to the one Mark was in, so she could see and hear the police officer clearly.

Despite what the police officer said, Mark insisted that he must leave that night. "There is no way that I can spend the night in here."

"Then you have to blame yourselves for being unfortunate by committing a crime by this time." The police officer said to them as he moved his gaze between Mark and Bai Jun.

Bai Jun couldn't seem to wrap her hand around what the police officer was saying. He and his colleagues arrested them some minutes ago, and now they were saying they were already off duty?

And now, they wouldn't even let their other colleagues on the next shift to handle their case. Bai Jun couldn't understand this and had to ask, "How come you came to arrest us when you were already off duty??"

"We were on our way back to the station when we got a call about some people crashing a party, and since the club was on our way, and the caller ID is a VIP, we had to attend to the matter immediately." The policeman replied immediately.

Mark scoffed, "Since there are exceptions for VIPs, then allow me to bail myself, or contact my lawyer to bail, and I will pay double the price of the bail fee because I am also a VIP."

The policeman pretended to be interested at first, but then he said, "Your bargain is tempting, but even if you give us 100× the bail fee, you won't be going anywhere tonight! We are very righteous with our job, good night!!!"

After saying that, the police officer said good night to them, smiled, and walked away.

"Why are you taking this out on me? We should be thinking about how to get out of here first and make amends!" Bai Jun said in an annoyed tone.

Mark cane to the cell bar and stood. He tried to see if he could sight Bai Jun's annoying face, but he couldn't.

"You must be crazy!! Don't you know how to apologize first before talking about how to leave here, you brainless fool!!!"

A first, Bai Jun didn't want to apologize, but if she doesn't, she would be in trouble. Mark would never forgive her, and he would stop supporting her the minute he gets out of the police cell the next day.

Let's talk about her getting out of the cell first. Who would help her get out of the cell if it gets out of her hand, maybe more paperwork she would have someone else do for her, or maybe if it involves a lot of money to buy her freedom back?

After apologizing, she didn't get any response from Mark.

"Mark, are you still there?" Bai Jun asked as she tried to make sure that Mark was still paying attention to her, but he totally ignored her.

That night, FangSu made sure to return home after the party. She and Zhang Junjie shared a deep kiss after Fu Hua left.

Chapter 656 FangSu shows off her engagement ring

Because of the party, the youngsters of the Fu family were late for dinner. Already, they had eaten something at the party, so there was no need to worry about dinner.

By the time Zhang Junjie dropped FangSu back at the Fu Mansion, it was already past 11 pm, and the oldies has gone to bed.

FangSu so badly wanted to show off her engagement ring, but it looks like she would have to wait till the morning of tomorrow.

Before going to bed that night, FangSu took some photos of the ring on her finger and posted them on all her social media pages.

She had captioned the posts with, 'Thank you Jie for the surprise engagement party, and I love the ring especially.'

There was a satisfied smile on her face after making the posts. As she put down her phone to go to bed, it rang. Zhang Junjie was on the line.

"I called to say good night." Zhang Junjie said immediately the call was answered.

"Goodnight, I love you," FangSu said with a blissful smile.

"I love you too." Zhang Junjie replied before ending the conversation.

FangSu was still very excited about the surprise engagement party. She continued to daydream before falling asleep in the early hours of the morning.

It looked like her brain had worked according to her will because by 6 am, FangSu was already up. She brushed her teeth and went for a run to look better when she goes to the dining table.

On her way out, she met Fu Hua, who gave her a weird glance.

"You didn't sleep well?" He asked.

That question was weird for FangSu because her big brother usually didn't ask that question. In fact, he didn't care to look at her that closely, and even if he mistakenly did that, he would never say anything, so she was a bit surprised.

Touching her face, FangSu asked, "What happened to my face?"

"Forget it, you must have drank too much last night out of excitement and didn't get to sleep well. By the way, why did you come out to run, you don't work out here, is something bothering you?" Fu Hua asked.

FangSu smiled and gave him the best reply ever, "I was bothered as I haven't shown off my ring to grandfather yet. I wonder how they would all react to seeing the ring on my finger."

Fu Hua shook his head at her childishness. "So, you want to show off? Are you that excited?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I be excited? Were you and Sister-in-law not excited like me when you two were getting married?" FangSu asked with a slight frown.

To her, it wasn't a new thing to be excited over one's engagement with a ring, every wannabe bride and groom, do that.

FangSu's question took Fu Hua back to the past. He remembered that he and Jia Li had no choice but to get married back then. They were not happy about it, but none of them ended up fighting against it at last.

"My marriage to your sister-in-law wasn't that exciting in the beginning, but we worked things out, so we are very happy now." Fu Hua replied.

"Oh! I see..." FangSu replied.

"Run along..." Fu Hua said before jogging away.

Thirty minutes later, FangSu returned to her room to wash up and get ready for breakfast. Before going down for breakfast, she spoke with her Fiance on phone. Their conversation lasted for over 15 minutes.

Finally arriving at the dining ready, FangSu found out that she was the last person to arrive. She hurriedly sat on her seat with a big smile.

Picking up a cup of coffee, FangSu raised the mug to her lips and drank from it, while waiting for someone to notice her ring and ask about it.

Of course, someone did notice her ring, and that was her mother.

"FangSu, is that an engagement ring?" Fu Hee asked with a questionable gaze.

As Fu Hee asked that question, the rest of the family members looked over in FangSu's direction to see the ring.

FangSu put down her mug of coffee and let everyone see her ring. "Mum, you are right. Zhang Junjie gave this ring to me last night and asked me to marry him. And before you say anything, my brothers and cousins were present last night."

In case any adult had something to say against her accepting the ring without any of her family being present, she would throw them off balance.

"That's right mum, Zhang Junjie threw her a surprise engagement party last night," YingPei said with a smile.

"Last night? I thought it was his birthday yesterday?" Fu Lei asked with a slight frown.

Fu Hua replied, "Yes it was, but he prepared this surprise for FangSu. He also came to tell me about it in FJ."

"This lass is very thoughtful." Fu ChuHua said from the side as a big smile hung on her face.

Grandfather Fu glanced at the ring on FangSu's finger and went back to eating his food with a slight smile, while the rest congratulate FangSu.

FangSu was all smiles as she replied to everyone.

"Aunty, Su, your ring is pretty!" Jasmine said with her eyes glistening. She saw the shiny diamond ring and couldn't help being fascinated by it.

"You like it?" FangSu asked with a big smile as she showed off the ring in front of her, so she could see it properly. Jasmine nodded in response.

"Thank you!" FangSu replied and retracted her finger.

Meixu leaned in to say to her, "Are you satisfied now after showing off?"

"Not yet, I can't wait to be done with breakfast to go check my phone, because by now, the news of my engagement would be the talk of the town," FangSu replied in a soft tone.

Meixu scoffed and went back to eating her food.

At the police cell where Bai Jun and Mark were locked up, Mark was scratching his arms and shivering a little.

Chapter 657 The allegiance was over

Mark had fallen a little ill, and he was very uncomfortable. Last night was the most uncomfortable night for him. Mosquitoes bit him and took a lot of blood from, plus the cold he caught.

Mark couldn't stop sneezing, and as soon as the same policeman that arrested him the previous day, walked to his cell, he immediately scrambled up and put his hands on the bars.

"I need to call my lawyer if you are not going to grant me bail which is supposed to be so!" Mark demanded.

"The night must have been uncomfortable for you, I will let you put a call to your lawyer." The policeman replied with a smile, before going on to open the cell bar for him.

When Bai Jun who was still sleeping heard the commotion, she opened her eyes slightly, and it was at that moment that she saw the policeman and Mark, passing her cell. She immediately got up and screamed at the policeman.

"Officer, I am still here, did you forget me???"

The police officer heard her, saw the frantic expression on his face, and said, "Do you also have a lawyer because he wants to go and speak to his lawyer?"

Lawyer? She didn't have one. Bai Jun lost words for a response. But when she saw that the lawyer was about to walk away, she hurriedly called him back.

"But we came together, you can't release him and leave me here! Mark!!"

They heard from Zimo of who Mark truly was, and who his family was. Zimo had told them that according to Fu Hua's instruction. He also let them know that Mark could be released the next day if he asked for it, and just followed the instructions.

Because of Fu Hua's order, the police tread carefully as well. They just followed Fu Hua's instructions directly from their Chief.

After Mark heard he could bail himself, he didn't waste time, and immediately signed on the documents he was asked to sign after reading the instructions, and next, he took the charge for his bail from the wallet that was handed over to him and passed it to the officers.

After retrieving his properties, Mark heard Bai Jun shouting his name from her cell, and an idea struck him. He whipped out a hundred-dollar bill from his wallet and handed it to one of the police officers.

"Keep that woman that came in with me in there till 4 pm, and call out an ambulance for me, I need to go to the hospital right now," Mark instructed.

"We don't need your money, and we don't have to keep her there if she can afford her bail. Also, why do you need an ambulance?." The officer who received the money said as he handed the money back to him.

Mark's actions made it look like it was easy for him to get them. It was also a bad image to them as if anyone can just order them around.

Mark refused to collect the money. "I don't wish to be on the Fu family's bad side. As soon as I recover, I will leave this country. I want that woman punished, because she dragged me to go ruin someone's party, and I'm sure the Fu family would like for her to be punished more."

After saying that, Mark went on to tell them the reason he wanted an ambulance. He didn't know how way around, but most importantly, he was feeling faint, and it looked like he caught a little cold due to the poor services in their police station.

A scrutinizing gaze was directed at Mark, and when they saw that he didn't look well as his face had lost color, an ambulance was called.

Just before getting into the ambulance, Mark left the hundred-dollar bill on the desk. He really wanted Bai Jun to be punished. Their plans failed, she made FangSu hate him the more, and she made him get locked up in the police cell, which was one of the places he dreaded.

In Mark's mind, the allegiance he had with Bai Jun was over. He was no longer going to support her again. Once he recovers, he would leave the country.

Another thing that angered him more, was the fact that Fu Hua seemed to know who he was, and their plans. He could only blame Bai Jun for being careless.

Mark didn't want to associate with Bai Jun anymore, and it was clear.

Currently, the internet was buzzing with the news of FangSu's engagement with Zhang Junjie. Many fans and relationship shippers, couldn't stop celebrating the couple.

Friends of the Fu family and the Zhang family congratulated both families. The Fu family and the Zhang family were receiving gifts, flowers, and congratulatory messages from their friends.

Throughout that day, FangSu and Zhang Junjie were the topic of discussion and on the internet. Many fans began to ask when their dream wedding was going to be.

To that, FangSu replied, "When we are done planning our dream wedding, we will surely tell you about it, so for now we don't have a date."

FangSu's reply was not satisfactory to them, and many of them continued asking questions pertaining to her wedding with Zhang Junjie.

Chapter 658 Threatening her mother

Apart from replying to some of the congratulatory messages sent to her, FangSu did not reply to another question.

Back at the prison, after Ba Jun learned that Mark had been released, she began to make trouble about being released, but no one attended to her case.

She was also threatened that her crime would be multiplied if she continued to disturb the policemen, and hinder them from doing their job.

Bai Jun had to stop shouting and remained quiet. Layer in the evening, a police officer came by her cell to her the cost of her bail.

"I don't care how much it is, tell me, and I will pay, I need to get out of here!" Bai Jun said desperately. She could not stand another second in the cell.

The amount for her bail, was too much for her, given that she had no job, and the money left with her, would only last her for three months if she managed it well, but now, her bail was worth a month managed expenses?

It's not like she had a lot of choices. Bai Jun quickly paid and signed the documents provided for her. Because she has been in prison for a crime, and she dared to openly commit another one, she was given a warning.

Before leaving the police station, Bai Jun inquired about Mark if he said where he was going to since he left angrily because she doubted that he would answer her calls.

"Your accomplice left with an ambulance, I suggest you should go find him in a hospital." One of the police officers replied.

As for which hospital he was taken to, Bai Jun to failed to find out about it. The most important thing to her right now was to go back to her apartment to wash up and change into a new set of clothes.

It's been over 2 hours since Bai Jun tried to reach out to Mark but failed. She even went to his hotel room, to find him, but she was denied access when she was told he wasn't around, and she still tried to go up.

Left with no choice, Bai Jun left the hotel premises in frustration. It was very important that she mends her relationship with Mark, otherwise, she would be in big trouble. He was the only that has been financing her since she left the prison. If he was out of her life, wasn't her life over? So she needed to beg him, even if it required her setting her pride aside and getting on her news.

She would do anything to get Mark to her side again.

Bai Jun stood outside the hotel building for a while to contemplate her next step. She just tried Mark's number a few minutes ago, but she failed to reach him because his phone was turned off.

It took Bai Jun extra 20 minutes to make up her mind on what she has been thinking about. She whipped out her phone from her bag the next minute, and went to the blacklist, to unblock a familiar contact, before dialing the number.

Bai Fen was almost starving when she got a call from her daughter who she hasn't seen or heard from in a long time. Even when she tried her number, she couldn't reach out to it.

Bai Fen quickly wiped her sweaty palms on her clothes before proceeding to answer the call. She was excited to hear from her daughter in the first few seconds, but the remaining duration of their conversation was heartbreaking for her.

"I know you took all my properties and bank cards when the Bai family threw us out, I need them now. Also, I remember that I had a car, where is it parked, are you with it?"

Bai Jun called to ask about her valuable properties. If she were to sell her designer shoes, clothes, and bag, she would surely have enough money to survive till the end of the year.

If she got a hold of the money in her bank accounts, she would be able to survive till winter came to an end the next early year. She was a heavy spender so she didn't have enough money saved in her bank accounts.

If she got his of her car, and some other properties she spent her money on, she can also survive through it next year without working.

This was the one and only reason Bai Jun finally reached out to her mother, otherwise, she wouldn't have bothered about her.

Bai Fen was heartbroken, but what could she do? When she delayed in responding because of the disappointment, Bai Jun scolded her.

"Why are you quiet? Don't tell me that you sold my things without my permission when I am still alive? I want my property if you don't want to end up in jail. I will give you 3 days to round everything up and get back to me."

Bai Jun was very cold, and she didn't leave any room for her mother to respond, because she would never forget that if her mother didn't ever bring up the subject of her marrying Fu Hua, her life wouldn't have been like this today.

Bai Jun indeed left some properties behind. All the money she had in her bank accounts, her car, her entire wardrobe which cost a little above half of a million US Dollars.

These things were her means of survival right now, and if there was any mistake with them, she won't spare her mother.

At the hospital, Mark was given a drip which made him sleep for a few hours. He caught a cold, and he was given a malaria prevention drug, because of the heavy mosquitoes bites he got while in prison.

After a few more hours of rest, Mark retired to his hotel room to bathe, eat and rest more. He gave an instruction never to permit Bai Jun to come up to his room, without his permission.

Chapter 659 Bai Jun meets her mother

Three days later, Fu Hua was carrying out a plan. He had paused in the middle of his office work and called Zimo over for another important matter.

"Since Miss Bai is tired of staying outside I think it's time to send her back in again."

"How do you want me to do it, Sir?" Zimo asked.

"Anyhow, just make sure she goes back in as soon as possible." Fu Hua said. He didn't care whatever means he would use to put Bai Jun back in jail, as he wanted her gone as soon as possible.

Making her spend the night in the police cell the other day was nothing. It wasn't part of a punishment. So right now, he was preparing to give her a real punishment.

Before leaving his office, Zimo updated Fu Hua on the activities that have been going on on Mark and Bai Jun's side. He has been monitoring them more closely since that incident.

Mark booked a flight ticket back to the United States, and his flight was due in a few days, and at the same time, he was planning to get involved in drugs.

As for Bai Jun, she asked her mother for her properties, and she was going to meet her that evening.

"Who is the drug for?" Fu Hua asked.

"It should be for him," Zimo replied.

"Don't conclude yet, find out. He has to go back to his country, and we will keep him busy there as long as forever. But if gets involved in drugs, he will rot in jail over there. As for Miss Bai, I will leave her in your care." Fu Hua instructed.

Bai Fen was almost in tears after seeing her daughter that she almost forgot her place and wanted to embrace her, but she was pushed away.

"I thought by now, you will know that I no longer regard you as my mother, and you should also forget that you ever had a child. Where are the things I asked?" Bai Jun asked with an arrogant gaze?

She didn't look like she cared about any other thing apart from her properties.

Being rejected was painful, but what was more painful, is not allowed to explain herself. Bai Fen went on to hand over a small envelope to Bai Jun.

"Your bank cards are all in there."

"What about some wads of cash I left in my bags before I was arrested?" Bai Jun asked as she opened the envelope to see her three bank cards in there.

Bai Fen looked a little afraid and refused to answer that question.

"Don't tell me you spent my money!!" Bai Jun said in a raised tone.

"What were you expecting me to do?? I had no money on me, and I was going to die of hunger!" Bai Fen said just before she would rage on.

"You should have died of hunger! How can you spend the money that doesn't belong to you without permission? Are you a thief?" Bai Jun said angrily.

The longer they conversed, the ruder she became.

"If I had died of hunger, do you think you would be able to get all these back?" Bai Fen fired back.

She could not allow her daughter to continue being rude to her.

"I see... Where is my car key?" Bai Jun asked. Her car key was supposed to be in the envelope along with her bank cards, but there was nothing there.

"There is no car, so how can there be a car key?" Bai Fen said and looked away without a care. It was obvious that she has moved on from her daughter's rudeness.

"What do you mean that there is no car? Where is my car?!" Bai Jun demanded on a more serious note. Her voice was so much louder now, but there was no fear of her image because she has long lost it. Also, there was no customer there, as they were the only ones in the restaurant.

Bai Fen removed unmoved with her rage. "When I was being pushed out from the family, and the Bai villa, no car key was given to me. If you want to know what happened to your car, you can ask your father that question."

Bai Jun was almost going crazy. This was the car that if she sold it, it would sustain her for 2 years without working provided that she lived and spent in average and now, she was being told that it was long gone.

'Can someone just shoot me in the head?' Bai Jun wished.

"There is no need to be so surprised about it, did you think that there was going to be a possibility of you having that car back? You must have thought too much about it." Bai Fen gloated.

Bai Jun was truly sick in the head to think that she could still have her car back. How did she ever think of it?

Bai Fen was quiet for a few seconds before speaking up, "As for these cards, just take your mind off it. Since they were given to you by your father, just know that you can't access the money because the accounts have been frozen. My cards were frozen as well, and that is the reason I found it hard to feed."

After getting yet another blow, Bai Jun almost lost it. She quickly took out all the cards from the envelope to take a good look at them.

Instead of addressing her father the normal way, she said, "Your husband gave me these two cards, so I am sure he must have frozen it, but this third card, belongs solely to me!"

Chapter 660 What are you yelling for?

Bai Fen was surprised at the revelation because she thought that all three cards were connected to her husband, not knowing that one out of the three, had nothing to do with him. If not, she would have long withdrawn the money there.

She has been finding it difficult to feed, without knowing that she had an option in her possession, what a waste!

She didn't even mind that it was her daughter's money because, from the look of things, her daughter had a means of survival.

"I don't see my clothes, shoes, and bags here, where are they?" Bai Jun asked while looking around.

"I left the bag outside." Bai Fen said as she got from her seat and walked away, while Bai Jun waited patiently for her to come back.

Some minutes later, Bai Fen returned with a heavy travel bag. After she left it at Bai Jun's feet, she went back to her seat.

"That's it?" Bai Jun asked with furrowed brows as she gazed at the one luggage at her feet. She hoped it was not what she. was thinking that happened.

"Well, these are the things I managed to keep for you." Bai Fen replied and threw her face away.

There was a confused gaze on Bai Jun's face. That had to be a joke that her mother was telling. Even if she had amnesia she would never forget her designer clothing that costs a fortune.

"I don't understand. Where are the rest? Did the Bai Family stop you from taking my entire wardrobe along? I mean if this is true, then they would answer a query." Bai Jun said angrily.

Seeing how angry and determined her daughter looked, Bai Fen had to come clean with her, and they ended up fighting and being separated by the restaurant owner.

Bai Fen had sold off every luxury she had in every form when she found it difficult to feed when she lost her brother's support. After spending the money earned from selling her things, she went on to sell off most of her daughter's properties.

Bai Jun looked horrific as she went back to her apartment. She couldn't believe her mother would sell off her properties and use the money to feed. She was pained and really wanted to get back at her, after daring to fight her back.

In her current situation, Bai Jun decided to do everything she could to hold onto Mark. She couldn't guarantee that she could get a job to take care of her necessities.

Getting Mark to her side and milking him a little, wouldn't hurt.

Mark promised to foot their bills till the end of his stay in China, but if he should give up on pursuing FangSu and go back to the states, she wouldn't get a dime again. So, Bai Jun sent a bunch of texts to him after failing to reach him via call.

Bai Jun promised to help him win over FangSu. She also promised not to be selfish like before, and would solely help him out, but no response came from Mark.

Mark on the other hand after being released from the hospital, booked a flight back to the states, and also got in contact with someone who deals with underground work to get some hard drugs. He was really planning something.

Both Bai Jun and Mark were under Fu Hua's watch, so they can't escape being heavily punished if they should try anything again.

A day later, Mark, at last, answered Bai Jun's call.

"Did you plan on killing me with your calls?" Mark asked calmly. He didn't sound as if he had a grudge against her.

Bai Jun was truly surprised by his tone because she thought he would scold her if he ever answers her call, but he didn't. Instead, his tone was normal.

Bai Jun thought that at last, she got a second chance. She smiled and said to him, "I was worried about your health since I heard you were taken away in an ambulance. Are you fine now?"

"If I wasn't fine, did you think I would answer your calls, or let you go free?" Mark questioned in a relaxed manner.

"That's why I tried to get in touch with you, to make sure you are okay, but you didn't answer any of my calls, or reply to my texts." Bai Jun complained.

"Are you complaining?" Mark asked. His tone was starting to sound angry and Bai Jun noticed it and apologized all over again.

She needed to make it up to him for angering him, so she suggested to take him out for lunch the same day.

Mark didn't refuse her when she offered to buy him lunch to get his forgiveness.

Back at the Fu Mansion, Jasmine was currently throwing a fit.

"Mummy! I want to do my homework!" Jasmine said in tears as she tried to take her textbook from her mother.

"No way! I told you there is no homework." Jia Li said as she refused to hand over the book and pencil she raised above her head.

When Jasmine came back from school, she took out her textbook and pencil from her bag and started writing with them.

Jia Li caught her writing on her school book and asked what she was doing after quickly snatching the items away. Jasmine said she was given homework, but there was nothing like that after Jia Li searched her textbook for the place her teacher had written 'Home Work' on.

Jia Li told the little girl that no homework was given to her, but she was too insistent on it. Having no choice, Jia Li refused to give back the textbook and pencil to the little girl, despite her demand.

Jasmine was in tears as she asked her mother to give back her items, but she wouldn't budge. The little girl had no choice but to start wailing in a loud voice.

"What are you yelling for? You will disturb your great-grandpa from his nap." Jia Li said to Jasmine, but the little girl was too disheartened to care about that.
