Ty'Quan's POV-
"When I see youuuuuu , When I see youuuu" I sung as I was putting on my shoes and heading out the door.
I went to my mom's house to go see what she was up too. We haven't spoken in almost a week and we usually talk on the phone every other day. But since I've been moving around a lot and shit I haven't been making time for my family and that's not what I want.
I've been working at the trap every single night and I sleep all day for real. I hardly be getting to see Kay because she be going to nursing school and be gone by the time I wake up and when I get home she be sleep. She always cooks and makes sure I eat when I come in it be food ready for me in the kitchen.
I walked in the house smelling food "damn it smell so good in here shit" I said shutting the door behind me.
"Tyyy baby!" My mom said. "I'm in the kitchen" She said and I went in the kitchen and saw her with an apron on.
"Hey ma it smell good whatchu cooking?" I asked her and sat down on the bar stool.
"Just some soul food or whatever , I be wanting to cook a lot but then I be forgetting that you and Ta'Nae don't live with me anymore so I just make little stuff for myself. She said.
"You know you can always call me and I'll come get a plate for me and Kay. You know Nae would want a plate too we'd never get tired of yo cooking." I said turning on the seat that turned side to side.
"Okay I guess I'll be cooking every Sunday, I think imma start selling meals again I missed doing that. Since I've been retired from working at the dentistry center I hardly get paid as much as I used too." She said.
"Now you know if you need some money you can just say something" I said going in my pocket.
"What would a mother look like taking money from her son?" She asked and I looked at her in confusion.
"Ain't nuffin wrong wit a nigga taking care of his mama and making sure you straight , you always did the same for me so why not return the favor" I said getting up.
"I guess Ty , Where's Kay at?" She asked turning on the sink and washing out the pots.
"She at school , I hardly be seeing her cause i be out." I said. "Here take this" I said giving her money.
"Now you know I can't.." she said looking at it in my hand.
"You can't do what? Oh okay just take it." I said and she scrunched her face up at me and took the money.
"Yo lil sassy ass , you ain't neva too old to get yo ass whooped by yo mama na" she said and we laughed.
"I miss those days I ain't gone lie" I said.
"I'm sure you do , What's been going on tho how's life?" She asked me sitting down at the bar table and I sat across from her.
"It's been overwhelming for real , I be wanting to come home and see my girl but she be sleep. But I be getting home hella late." I told her scratching my cheek.
"You gotta make time for her then , Give whatever you're doing a rest and make time for her." She said.
"Ma the bills gotta get paid , they ain't gone pay they self" I told her.
"Doesn't Kay have a job?" She asked.
"Yeah but I'm not letting her pay the bills I do allat and make sure there's food for her to cook." I said.
"Well if she's living with you I think she should be helping pay the bills , but that's just my opinion." She said.
"Ma here you go" I said fanning her off and shaking my head.
"I'm just saying that's my opinion , I'd never let a man stay here with me and he's not helping me pay the bills and he's using the water and electricity." She said.
"I'd never make my girl pay the bills cause that's my job , She juss needa cook and clean." I said.
"You like house wives huh?" She asked and I nodded.
"Theres nothing wrong with that" she said hearing the oven beep and she got up.
"The macaroni is doneeee" she said putting on a mit and taking the macaroni out of the oven.
I looked down at my shoe and saw a card underneath my foot. I picked it up and eyed it seeing it was an ID. "Ma whose is this?" I asked her.
"Whose is what?" She asked sitting the macaroni on top of the stove.
"Mark Lawrence Grover" I said.
"Oh shit he must've left that here" she said. "Just sit it on the counter he'll just have to get it when it comes over tonight" She said.
"Who is that? Don't tell me you got a new man." I said eyeing her.
"Mama gotta have a life too." She said and i fanned her off.
"He not crazy or nun is he?" I asked her.
"Oh no no no Mark is a nice guy , He always brings me gifts and takes me out." She said.
"Mmhm yeah ight im just making sure because after Michelle dyke ass ion need you dealing with nomo bull shit." I said.
"She just came over here yesterday too , But I wasn't home I saw it on the ring camera" she said.
"What the hell did she want? Nae to beat her ass again?" I asked and my mama looked at me like she was about to laugh.
"She said she needed the rest of her stuff so I sat it outside when I got home and she came back and got it. But after her I ain't dealing with nobody else crazy and that doesn't disrespect me." She said.
"Good , it should've been that way from the beginning." I said.
"Took me years to know my worth , it's sad but I mean life is life." She said.
"You want a plate?" She asked me. "Of course I want a plate but imma take it to eat later cause I already ate." I said.
"Okay imma make you and Kay one" She said.
"How's Jasmine and Kobe doing?" She asked me.
"They doing good they should be expecting their twins this week" I said.
"Awww I can't wait they gotta bring them over to see me. But like a couple weeks after cause it's not good to bring new borns out" She said.
"Im sure they'll bring the twins over to see you, they call you their mama too" I told her.
"Yeah I know." She said.
The house phone started ringing "Oh shit I gotta take that" She said running over to the living room.
I sat back and went on my phone seeing Kobe texted me.

A lil bit early today
"Shit why so fucking early" I said. I groaned and got up and picked up the plates my mama made for me and Kay.
"Aye ma I gotta go imma see you lata ight" I said.
"Okay baby be careful imma call you later" she said holding the house phone up to her ear. I went over and gave her a hug and she kissed me on my
Cheek and I left.
I got in my car and turned on the radio and sped down the street. I ain't feel like dealing with all this shit this early. But that mean we gone stop early too so I ain't gotta be up there all night. I should be able to come home to Kay being up.
She been real busy with school and shit stressing about this nursing class. I hate to see her stress so much. We still talk on the phone during her lunch hour but i be working at the same time.
Imma try to spend the weekend with her and just chill cause I miss my baby girl. I ain't been able to show her attention for real but I be having to her this money but she says she understands.
I got to the trap and saw people coming in and out of the trap. "God damn" I said going inside.
Everyone was working and I saw Kobe sitting at the table giving out bags of the green to a customer and he was getting money.
"Bout time you came , we busy as hell today" he said.
"Shiid i see , I was planning on doing this shit this early" I said sitting down.
"Me either but they all just came from outta town and half the neighborhood coming. But I'm glad we started early cause we ain't gotta be here all night." He said counting his money.
"Mann tho I can finally spend time with Kay" I said.
"Yeah I can spend time with Jas too. I be hating that I can't be with her while she's at home pregnant." He said.
"Ain't she supposed to be having the twins this week?" I asked and he nodded. "Yeah I ain't gone be here for atleast two months but imma be popping in and out and putting the guys in charge so we should be straight." He said.
"Yeah imma be with Kay and waiting for her to get out of school everyday , I miss her giving me back rubs and me rubbing her feet" i said and Kobe laughed.
"I be having to rub Jas swollen ass feet she hate walking" he said.
"Shiid I bet , twins are alot" I said.
"Yeah but she ready for em to come and so am I. I'm ready to be a family man. Well even tho I am one." He said.
"Yeah that's gone be me some day, Imma get started doe we gone kick it a lil after" I said getting up and he nodded.
I sat up my lil station and sat back on the couch waiting for the next eleven to come in.
"Let me get six" The feen said handing me the money and I gave him six bags of the white.
He opened the bag and sniffed it "Yeah Ty this be that good shit" He said scratching his arm and scratching his head fast.
"Yeah I bet it is" I said.
6 hours later...
I checked the time seeing it was 10:59 pm, I had my last customer and I was gone be ready to go. I counted my money and wrapped a rubber band around it.
"Y'all can chill for the weekend see y'all Monday" I said and our workers left.
"A nigga is tired I'm ready to go home and take me a long ass shower and chill with bae" I said getting up stretching.
"Me too man that was a lot of work but these pockets feel nice and fat" Kobe said.
"Mine too" I said going to the door and he followed.
We locked up and he dapped me up before we went out separate ways and left. (No gay shit)
I went home and went in Kay and I's room and I saw the TV was on and she was laying on the bed on her phone.
"You up?" I asked her.
"Mhm" she said.
I got in the bed next to her "You missed daddy?" I asked her.
"Of course" she said looking at me with a smile.
"You sure?" I asked her.
"Why would I lie about that?" She asked me.
"Ion kno you ain't acting like it , acting like you ain't happy to see a nigga." I said and she eyed me.
"You juss saying dumb shit , if you miss me you can just say that you ain't gotta say shit to piss me off" she said.
"Girl please" I said fanning her off
"Yo sassy self" She said laughing.
"Y'all gone stop calling me dat , a nigga ain't sassy" I said.
"You are sassy" She said.
"That shit gay" I said shaking my head and she laughed.
"You want some of this sassy dick tho" I said.
"You know I want that" She giggled and got on top of
