You and Vi got down after having freshened up and went into Powder's absolute favorite place; the arcade.
Still being fatigued from yesterday's events, you just sat and watched as everyone else went about their day.
Vi was setting a new record yet again on the boxing machine, which still gave you memories to the first time you even played it.
Mylo was just about to start a game, though he was too busy picking his nose.
"Remind me why we bother with this dump?"
He pressed just as he threw a piece of snot to the side. A face of disgust came over you and you decided to turn the other way.
"Vander said to lay low. Enforcers never come down here, so this place is as good as any."
Vi answered just as she finished setting a new record, wiping away her sweat.
"Oh what's the matter Mylo, you worried Powder's gonna beat you again?"
Claggor remarked in a mocking tone, which made you snicker.
"Hey! If she didn't keep fixing these things, I wouldn't keep missing."
Powder emerged from below the counter just as she plugged in the power source, a smirk on her face. Mylo simply rolled his eyes before beginning the game, very awfully at that.
To your right you could see Vi deep in thought as she took off her gloves, opening and closing her fists to alleviate the soreness.
"You guys know I wouldn't take you on a job you can't handle, right?"
There it was, the one worry she wouldn't tell you about.
You sighed.
"Are you kidding? That was the best job we've ever done! Maybe just don't take powder next time." Mylo spat out, looking over at Powder.
"Um.."
The blue haired girl didn't reply, instead she simply aimed her gun at all the moving targets and hit the bullseye in every one.
"Damn! She didn't even have to say anything to prove that you really do suck ass in this game."
You mocked.
He just stood there stunned, still shocked from Powder's incredible aim.
You could hear loud commotion coming from the outside, and as Powder made her way to another one of the machines, she peeked into a crack in the glass as she heard it too.
Your brows furrowed as Powder wouldn't look away, and just as you were about to say something she turned in your direction.
"Hey guys, you should see this-"
She was interrupted midway as a man from outside smashed against the glass, sending bits flying everywhere.
From the hole that was now created, you could see the blue suits you loathed.
"Search them." One of them said, and the whole lot of Enforcers entered the room.
"Go ahead idiots! We've got nothing."
You stood as you rolled your eyes at Mylo's stupidity, but your attention was caught when Vi looked over at Powder, looks of worry overrunning them as Pow-pow clutched her bag.
One of the Enforcers made his way over to Powder, where he towered over her as he inspected her every move. With that, Vi motioned Claggor to turn on a switch.
Suddenly black engulfed the area, a bright neon skull painted on the floor. Powder was quick to dash out of the Enforcer's way, just as he quickly followed. Mylo kicked another and dived behind the counter, grabbing one of the toy guns and began shooting. Obviously the shots were no effect, and right when they were about to go after Mylo, Vi quickly stepped in and threw a part of the boxing machine. She motioned you to follow her as she ran, shoving an Enforcer on the way.
In the amidst of Powder trying to get away, the Enforcer trailing after her managed to seize ahold of her. She let out a yelp, pushing the bullseye so that the machine would clamp around the Enforcer's arm. With that, Vi took ahold of her and dragged her out of the place that was now under attack.
Vi quickly pushed the door open as all of you all trailed along. But right as the way of escape was in reach, she stopped at the sight of Enforcers blocking the way.
You all were cornered, until you heard a familiar whistle. Clanks of metal could be heard as a ladder reached the floor, Ekko up top on a balcony.
"Over here!"
Vi jumped up and took ahold of one of the bars, climbing up as fast as she could.
You thankfully reached the top, but unfortunately one of the Enforcers had gotten ahold of Powder's leg.
You and Vi pulled her up with all of your force, managing to get the son of a bitch to let go.
Vi shoved the ladder away just as the Enforcer attempted to climb up, and he toppled against the other Pilties.
She simply looked over them with a scowl, then turned around to your direction. Placing a hand on the small of your waist, she guided you through the opening.
"You need to hide those crystals." Vi stated, motioning to Powder.
"Yeah no shit." You let out a chuckle at Powder's remark, but continued pressing the matter just as you entered a familiar building.
"What are those things anyway?"
"They're finds from Piltover. They are strange little things for sure, given how they were the cause for explosion."
Your brows shot up.
"Woah. Yeah definitely keep those things hidden Pow-pow. Who knows what other crazy shit they can do?!"
"I don't think I wanna find out."
She finished.

Once back at the last drop and in a more comfortable room, you all took the time to slow down and take a breather.
You were trying to fix one of Powder's gadgets that she needed help with just as a toy monkey dropped down and began clapping the metal plates between its plastic hands.
Everyone immediately perked up with alert, and Vi looked over to you.
"We need to hide. Everybody quick, up on the ceiling boards!"
And you complied to her orders, given how her tone of voice was one of seriousness.
Once everybody was up and holding on for dear life, the sound of boots stepping against the wooden floor could be heard.
The door opened, and in came a goddamned Enforcer. They really couldn't stop bothering could they?
He inspected almost every bit of the room, looking under the beds to see if it was unfortunately one of your hiding spots.
You suddenly noticed Powder, who was desperately holding onto a sole metal bar and was struggling to hold on any longer.
Nothing could be done other than to watch and hope that she had enough force to hold on for just a few more seconds, at least till the Enforcer made his way out.
As she held on, she almost slipped. A slight sound was emitted, and the Enforcer looked around but was not lucky enough.
Just as she was slipping further and further, the Enforcer finally closed the door.
With that, Powder finally let go and fell onto the floor with a thud, to which she let out a small 'ow' at.
She quickly went into another hiding spot and the rest of you all remained on the ceiling in case they came back. So when the door opened and in came Vander, you let out a sigh of relief.
"Are you all okay?"
Vi jumped off, and quickly retorted.
"No we're not okay, they almost saw Powder! What if they took her?
Vander sighed as Powder turned on the candle.
"No one is taking any of you, never let that happen." He replied.
"It's already happening! You heard him, they won't stop. We need to fight back!" Vi exclaimed in frustration as she hit the wall next to her, making dust fly out.
"And if you wont, I will."
"I've heard this kind of talk before."
You turned to look at the others as Vander escorted Vi out for a talk, to which you had no intention of accompanying in. This was between them both.
"I don't think they'll mind if I trail along, I'm sure they won't even notice!"
Mylo whispered as he was about to follow, though you rapidly grabbed his collar.
"Mylo, this is none of our business. Stay here and find something interesting to do."
You stated.
Mylo scoffed, sitting down on a couch and crossing his arms.
You just sat in a lone chair, burying your face in your hand as the fatigue from this whole day began to settle. If only you would've stopped them from going to that stupid job, none of this would've happened.
You hadn't noticed that Claggor and Mylo left the room, or when Ekko did either, given how you were too busy being so deep in thought. How the hell was this gonna work out? What were any of you gonna do to get out of this mess?
The Enforcers never stop until they have achieved what they want. And all they want right now is to put someone behind bars just for the hell of it.
Your train of thought was interrupted as Mylo and Claggor barged back in, excitement coursing through them.
"What's got you both so giddy?"
Claggor smiled.
"People are talking, saying that The Lanes are gonna fight. We need to get ready."
Mylo began searching for spare bandages and other weapons that could be used for the fight, just as Powder leaped up from the bed and began scrounging for bits and pieces to make more bombs.
You could do nothing but sigh, leaning your head back against the couch.
Great, this was just the cherry on top.
•. •. •.
After a while, Vi finally entered the room. She was slightly drenched from the rain, and had a rather gloomy look on her face.
"Vi! Where have you been?"
Mylo pressed as she walked down the stairs.
"Rumor is the lanes are gonna fight."
She didn't reply, instead she walked over to Pow-pow.
Just as Vi sat down, Powder began explaining about her inventions.
"Look! I made them for the Enforcers. These are smoke bombs, and those two are full of nails. They're gonna work this time, I know it."
Vi smiled, in awe of her little sister.
"Me too."
She pushed the pretty blue hair out of her face, making Powder smile.
She slipped a stuffed rabbit into her hands, and began talking.
"You know, Powder, what makes you different makes you strong. Always remember that, okay?"Powder nodded, and Vi stood, heading on over your direction.
She sat down next to you, laying her head on your shoulder as her hand found yours.
"I don't know how we're gonna do it but, we'll get through this. I just know of it." She affirmed, looking straight ahead.
You smiled, brushing her hair behind her ear with your spare hand to admire her a little more.
"And I'll be by your side the whole time."
Vi didn't say anything, just simply nodded as she looked ahead, keeping an eye on Powder.
You could feel your eyelids getting heavier and heavier, so you let them close, just for a little.
It'd be just a little while.
