"Hey," Lena tapped Darian but he didn't respond to her. Tossing around on the bed, he faced the other side and pulled the duvet over his head, deterring her from seeing his face. "Darian," squinting, she wondered what was wrong with her husband. "Darian, are you good?" She wasn't having it, his silence made her so uncomfortable, and she was so eager to know what went wrong with him.
He had been in a mood since he got back from work that evening and that was affecting her whole evening.
Darian yanked the duvet off his body, sitting straight on the bed. He looked over to see Lena's worried face, he wriggled his head and looked away from her.
"Darian, did I do something wrong to you?" She asked but he didn't give her a word. "Darian," she touched him, he jerked away from her hold and she shook her head in confusion. "What's wrong with you? What happened at work?" She was concerned about him.
"Never mind, Lena. I just want to be alone." He got off the bed, heading towards the doorpost. Lena was heavy, she couldn't stand immediately, but she tried to heave herself up and followed after him.
Darian opened the door and left the room, going towards his study room. "Darian," Lena called, hurrying after him.
He was about to shut the door to the study when Lena held it back. Glaring at him with fury, she raised her voice at him. "What the heck is wrong with you, Darian? Why do you keep ignoring me?" Her voice cracked like she was about to cry. "Why have you been ignoring me? Why won't you talk to me about what's wrong with you? When did we become strangers that we can't share our worries anymore, huh? Darian?" She touched his shoulders.
"Lena," he called wearily. "I just want to be alone, please."
She glared at him and said. "Why do you want to be alone? Do I bug you? Do you hate me so much that the sight of me irritates you? How can you tell your pregnant wife that you want to be alone? Is that how much you despise me?" She let out sniffles, trying to hold back tears that threatened to fall from her eyes. She looked at him, studying his every move as he sat on the armchair, picked up a book and flipped through the pages. He wasn't ready to talk to her and she loathed that, she wanted him to tell her what was wrong with him. She was certain she could soothe him if he told her about it. "Are you going to ignore me, Darian?" The tears poured out when the pain was unbearable for her. She could hold back and bear everything, but she dreaded whenever Darian didn't want to talk to her.
He turned around to look at her when he heard the faint sounds of her sobs. He hated it when she cried and he loathed it more whenever she cried because of him.
"You don't have to do that, Lena. You don't have to cry." He grumbled, scratching his head. He knew he'd have to soothe her if she continued like that. "I am fine, okay? I just have to think about some things and I need some time alone." He said in a soft voice.
Wiping tears from her eyes, she nodded her head and stared at him. He held her gaze and tears spilled down her face again, "I will leave now, it's fine if you don't want to talk to me." She veered towards the door, taking a slow step forward.
Darian sighed, he couldn't leave his wife in that state, not especially when she was pregnant and needed him around.
He hurried towards Lena, grabbing her arms before she could walk out of the door. He looked at her and pulled her closer to his chest. "I love you," he whispered into her ears, "I love you so much, Lena and I don't you want to cry." Rubbing his fingers against her cheeks, he wiped off the tears that stained her wet cheeks.
"Why don't you want to talk to me? It hurts that you are ignoring me." She buried her head in his shoulders like a baby. Darian was her entire life, she loved him so much, too much and she wasn't ashamed to let him know that she did. "You've been pushing me away and you know that I want you." She mumbled in a childish tone that made Darian giggle.
He smiled, pressing a kiss to her forehead. There was no way he could resist his wife. Even when he wanted to be alone, he still yearned for her touch, everything about her pleased his soul and now, he felt so guilty for making her cry.
"You shouldn't cry. You know I hate it when you do." He kissed her forehead again.
"Why don't you want to talk to me? You even left the room when I asked what was wrong with you, don't you love me anymore?"
"Oh, I do, Lena. I do love you so much." Darian retorted with a smile. "I have so much going on in my head and I don't want you in there, I don't want to bring you to the things that bother me."
"You know I don't mind, Darian. I will always listen to whatever you have to say." She hugged him, stretching her neck to kiss his lips. "I love you, Darian. I love you so much with all of my heart, life, body and soul."
He believed her, he knew she did and that was the same feeling he had for her too. "I don't want you to ignore me anymore, it hurts me."
"I am sorry for making you cry. Oh, my beautiful wife, how is the baby doing?" He ran his fingers through her tummy and she chuckled.
"Don't do that again, Dala will forgive you this time, but she would be mad the next time you do this because you are stressing her mom.
Darian was confused for a moment, he looked at Lena and asked. "Dala? Who is Dala?"
"That's the name of our baby, Darian. It's from our names, the first two letters of your name and the first and last from mine." She chuckled, winking at him.
"That's so cute," he smiled. His wife always did things to amuse him. "Dala is the name you chose for her?"
"Yes, cute, right?" She asked and he nodded in response. "It took me days to figure out a name and I got the best one."
"I love you, Lena." He whispered, his eyes intently fixed on her. "And I am sorry for making you cry."
"I love you too, Darian." Wrapping her arms around his neck, she relaxed in his chest and let him devour her lips to his utmost satisfaction.

Lena had been waiting for Darian for hours now, he had promised to show up while they go shopping together, but she had gotten all set for hours now and Darian was yet to arrive back home.
"Did he say that he would come with you?" Isabella asked, secretly gaping at a worried Lena, who placed her hands on her chest.
"Yes, he did. I guess he has a lot to do at work." She responded, smiling. Though, she was really upset that Darian hadn't picked her calls nor called to inform her about the cancelation of the appointment they planned out, but she chose to remain calm at the instant.
"Maybe there is a lot to do," Isabella nodded her head. "So, how did you feel when the Doctor told you they you are having a baby girl?"
"On top of the world, I was so happy I couldn't contain my joy. This is what I have always wanted, you know? A baby girl as my first child, I do have plans for her, great ones." She chuckled, adjusting the dress that was slipping off her shoulders.
"I see that you are elated and that gladdens my heart." She smiled at Lena. They dived into other topics and talked a whole lot until Darian finally showed up.
Lena got off the couch and glared at Darian, she really was mad at him but she managed to take the suitcase from him after letting him kiss her cheeks.
"Did you have a nice day at work?" Isabella asked Darian and he nodded in response, not saying too much to him.
Conversations between them were still awkward, Isabella had been trying her best to form a bond with her son, but it seemed Darian was drifting very far away from her. She noticed how distant he was, but she didn't push it too forward, she knew that it would take them a lot of time to get back together and be close like they should be and she was waiting until he was ready for her.
"Did you eat at work?" She asked, feeling like she was doing too much. She pressed her lips together when Lena gazed at her. "You should go in with your husband." She said teasingly.
"Yes," Lena linked their arms with a smile on her lips. Darian led the way to the room and she trotted behind him.
When they got into the bedroom, Lena lowered the suitcase on the vanity table and folded her arms around her chest. Staring at Darian as he striped himself in front of her. He looked back at her and smiled but she didn't return the smile, he easily figured out that something as wrong with her.
"What's wrong, Lena?" He asked.
"Nothing, nothing is wrong." She said immediately his question dropped. Her voice was harsh, he knew well that everything was wrong.
"Lena, I know well that something is wrong. What's with the face?"
"You know, Darian. I was wondering if our plans means nothing to you." Sitting on the bed, she crossed her legs on top of each other and fixed her eyes on him.
"Is there a problem?" He asked her.
"Do not ask me that, Darian."
"Oh, how would I know what I did wrong if you don't want to talk to me about it?" He whined.
"We planned to go shopping today, didn't we?" She glared at him as he tried to recall. He scratched his head and smiled. "You've been at work since morning today."
"There was a lot to do at the office today, Lena. I am sorry, but I totally forgot about it." He sighed and smiled again. "I will make it up to you, how do you want me to make it with you?" He asked.
"I know that you've been working but you didn't even talk about it when you got back home. You don't seem to be interested in this, I will go alone then. I will just assume that you don't want to talk to me and I will just be on my own until things are good with me again."
"Why are sounding like this, Lena?" Darian shook his head. "I am sorry for keeping you waiting, Lena. I promise to go with you now, are you down for it?"
"No, I don't want to go anymore," She said and he laughed.
"You know that I put you first, don't you?"
"I knew that until today. I thought I was connected with you but maybe it's all a fib now."
"Hey," he chuckled. "I put you first in all the things that I do and I am sorry for not remembering that we were to visit the mall today." He walked down to where she was and crouched next to her. He was half naked and she didn't feel too cool with that, but she didn't flinch when he was close and touched her. "We can still visit, right?" He asked and she nodded in response.
"Yes, we can. I made a list of the baby's things already. This is going to be fun and I want only you to come with me."
"I will come with you. So please stop getting mad at me. I don't like to see the angry side of you, I hate it so much." He kissed her hand and rose to his feet. "I will be back," he turned to leave the room.
Lena jumped to her feet, pulling down her Zipper at once.
The sizzling sound of the zipper caused Darian to stop at his tracks. He looked back to see Lena coming towards him.
"Let's bath together." She stated frantically.
"Oh, sure." He smiled, pulling her to himself. He pulled off her underthings and when they were both naked, he led her into the bathroom. "This is going to be great." He said and he shut the door that led to the bathroom.
There was nothing more perfect than bathing with his beautiful wife.
