With your feet touching the hot sand, and the sun glimmering down, you knew today you would be a truly long day.
For the last day in Miami, you all decided to head to the beach. For all the three days you guys have been here, the weather has been hot. It has been such a nice weather, maybe a little too hot. But it's nice.
And as your last day, you all found the hot weather enough to take a dip in the water.
Going to Miami and not going to the beach would be a literal crime. One of the many things to do in Miami is swimming, and of course you were more than ready to do that. You packed your favorite swimsuit just for the occasion.
And well just like you, everyone seemed excited to go have a dip on the water. Jimin and Hoseok were already betting on who would go in first. On who was going to take the pictures.
You don't even forget Taehyung wanting to join them as well, saying how he would bet on one of them to take pictures for him. And well the laughter of everyone brought you some warmth in your heart.
As much as you were wanting to go into the water, you didn't. Not yet at least, with how long the walk is to the chairs and a simple umbrella, you knew you had to rest first.
"I think we need to rent the umbrellas over there" Jungkook said, as he pointed towards a little stand over in the distance.
"Yeah, I think so too" Namjoon said, as you all were listening. "Let's go and check" he said, as you all followed behind him. The sand making it impossible to walk with sandals.
You wanted to take them off, you thought it might be easier to walk without them. However, with how hot the sand was, you didn't want to. You decided to continue the rest of the walk with them, even if at the end they would be stuck with sand.
As you all made it to the stand, Namjoon went ahead and took the lead. Already asking the lady about the chairs and even the umbrellas. She mentioned how you needed to pay for them, basically rent them for some time.
With the money that was gathered up from everyone before, he paid for the chairs and two umbrellas for the shade since it was six of you. Jungkook also decided to pay for some drinks with his own money. Buying a bunch of them as he put them in a small black bag.
A man was quick to show you guys where to go, something you all quickly headed to. Already putting your things down, as you sat down on a chair. The shade feeling much better.
"It's fucking hot here" Hoseok said, squinting, as he looked over ahead to the water, seeing a lot of people already enjoying the water. Some were splashing others, while some were taking pictures.
Everyone took a few minutes to recollect their thoughts, even their energy. The sun had some effect on all of you. Mostly because you guys weren't used to the weather like this.
"It is, but i'm here to swim" Taehyung said, as he started taking his shirt off, throwing it towards Namjoon as he just threw it on his bag.
"Enjoy the view Y/n" he said, as he gave you a wink. Something that made you laugh.
He always has his jokes, and this time you didn't fail to actually laugh. Jokes like these would be typical for you both. Mostly for the fact that you both work together and get time to talk like this when it's not so busy.
Taehyung was the first to start applying sunscreen on his body, asking for your help, to which you helped him. Putting some sunscreen on his back since he couldn't reach it, he even laughed because he said you were tickling him.
And with Hoseok, they both rushed towards the water, both of them racing over since they decided not to take their sandals and decided to step on the hot sand.
"Idiots" Namjoon laughed as you watched them throwing water at each other and pushing one another into the water.
They truly knew what the beach was about.
"I'll go in, care to help me with the sunscreen?" Jimin asked, as you quickly nodded, patting the spot beside you for him to sit.
He already added sunscreen on his chest, on his neck and even his legs, he just needed help on the back, just like Taehyung.
"Are you going to go with me?" he asked, as you nodded. "I'll wait a bit though" you said, as he nodded.
You slowly poured some of the sunscreen on your hand, placing it gently on his back as you spread it around.
Without noticing, you didn't even realize when Namjoon went ahead towards the water. Catching up to Taehyung and Hoseok, who immediately ran to him and splashed him.
"You want a lot?" you asked, as he nodded. As you were going to get the bottle once again, you noticed Jungkook's eyes on you. He looked serious, which made you confused.
Grabbing the bottle anyways, you poured more sunscreen on your palm, putting it quickly on Jimin's back.
As you continued to put his sunscreen on, you didn't fail to notice the way Jungkook would try to grab your attention. That meant either staring at you, or even coughing for a whole minute. Which received not just your side eye, but Jimin's too.
You didn't know what happened with him, but once you were finished with Jimin. He gave you a smile and walked towards the others. Getting splashed on the face by Hoseok.
"Is something wrong?" you asked, turning your body towards him as he just scoffed. He was acting truly serious, which made you want to laugh.
"No" he said, something that made you chuckle. "You do want me to apply sunscreen on you?" you asked, as he just shook his head.
"No i can do it myself" he said, as he grabbed the bottle of sunscreen, pouring a bunch of it on his palm, and with one hand he managed somehow to take his shirt off.
Yes the few stares of some girls walking by did make you side eye them, but you don't blame them. If you were them, you would also look.
To which you are doing.
This was a great way to flex his body. He looked truly good. You can tell all this time in the gym has truly blessed him. Just the way his abs were so smoothly on his stomach gave you the urge to touch them.
But you didn't.
You watched in amusement as he struggled to put the sunscreen on his back. He did well with his chest and the rest of his body, but he struggled like everyone else on the back.
"Do you want me to help you?" you asked once again, something he denied once again. Quite a petty man.
"Can you help me then?" you asked, as he didn't even look at you, instead he focused ahead. Oh so that's how he is going to be?
You didn't even know why he started acting this way. But you think you have a reason. With how jealous you have seen Jungkook to be, he might have not liked the idea of you putting sunscreen on Jimin.
There was nothing wrong with you helping Jimin out. You even helped Taehyung and he didn't put this little jealous act on him. Why does he always act this way when it came to Jimin?
It's funny to see him like this though.
"Alright, i'll ask Jimin to help me then" you said, standing up from the chair as you quickly took off your shirt, revealing the swim suit you had under.
For this occasion and only this one, you decided to buy a good swim suit. The two pieces are hard to find. The good ones of course. Most of the time, the ones that are stored are plain and tiny. Which makes you annoyed and not want to buy one anyway.
But this one, you loved it. So of course you had to take it. And having the opportunity to wear it right now makes you feel a sudden confidence.
Slowly, you took off your shorts. Folding them neatly as you placed them on the chair.
You didn't look at him, knowing his eyes might be on you. If he wanted to play the ignoring game then you can do way better.
Grabbing the bottle, you took not even one step before Jungkook called out your name. Something that made you turn towards him. Acting as if you didn't know his eyes were on you.
"I'll help you" he quickly said, standing up from the seat as he rushed over to you, grabbing the bottle from your hand as you turned the other way. A smile being visible on your face.
"Put a lot" you said, as he nodded, opening the bottle as he applied some on his hand, already brushing on your back.
Whenever you go into a heat like this, you always apply a lot of sunscreen, fearing that you might get too sunburned to the point it will hurt. It has happened before, you getting too sunburned to the point that you couldn't even sit down.
It burned your skin, but because of your dumb decisions you had to take the consequences. And you learned your lesson. That's for sure.
So ever since then, you promised yourself to always stay consistent on the sunscreen. Maybe to not even spend much time in the sun either.
The ways his hand gently slid on your back, made your thoughts vanish. All you could think about was the way his hand was touching you, the way he was lowering his hand lower and lower. It was giving you butterflies.
It was wrong to feel such thing from him just applying sunscreen on your back, but either he was teasing you or he was just doing what you asked. Either way, you didn't know what to think.
But it sure is bothering you.
"Can you apply some to me?" he silently asked, as you nodded, turning towards him as he didn't realize when you did so because his hands immediately went to your boobs, making his eyes widen.
He didn't move them though.
You just looked at him, waiting for him to take his hands off, but he didn't. He just stared at your boobs that were nicely put on the swimsuit. It was exactly the reason why you bought it.
You looked how it looked.
His eyes weren't wide anymore, they were focused. A smirk was starting to spread on his lips as well.
"Don't drool now" you commented, hearing him chuckled.
"I would take that swimsuit in a second if we weren't here" he was quick to say, something that made you gulp.
He can be quite bold with his words. Here you were trying to seem bold, but he won. He once again won over you.
"Damn and there's no bathroom near as well" he whispered, his hands lowering down your body.
Oh this was truly not the time to do this. It's not just the fact that the others aren't far from you both. But you were both in public. With people giving you looks to which were mostly directed towards Jungkook.
So yes you will stop it before he says to go to the bathroom which is far from here.
With a dry cough coming from your mouth, you quickly grabbed the bottle of sunscreen from his hand. Motioning with your fingers for him to turn around, something he did.
There's a question that has been running your mind ever since yesterday night. Let's say that seeing Sora's text on his phone did make an impact on you.
It had you thinking and overthinking. Wondering if Jungkook talks more to her than what he says to you. You aren't in control of him to tell him not to text her or to not talk to her. It's not like you own him or that you guys are in a relationship. So there's no reason for you to ask such a thing.
But you do wonder if he does.
"Can I ask you something?" you asked, as he nodded. Taking a deep breath, you poured some of the sunscreen on your hand, softly placing it on his back.
"When we go back, will you talk to Sora?" you asked, meeting with an unfamiliar yet familiar silence.
You knew he probably would. After all, it's a talk that needs to happen. Maybe it will be a little painful for the both of them, but you know it needs to happen. One way or another.
"I'm not sure" he said, watching as he started playing with his fingers. Fidgeting them. He only does that when he's nervous.
"Do you want to?" you asked, as you finished putting sunscreen on his back, closing the bottle as you placed it inside the bag.
You didn't notice when he turned to you, but before you knew it, his eyes were on you. "I do" he said, as you just nodded.
It was obvious that he did. You expected that answer, but hearing it from him felt different.
"I do want to get this talk over with" he added, as you didn't say anything. What could you even say?
A decision like this is for him to decide. It's for him to take matters into his own hands. And if he thinks this is what he needs, then who are you to say no? He has his mind set, and you aren't anyone special to change that.
Does it worry you if he does talk with her? Maybe a bit. Or more than a bit maybe.
"Yeah, i see" you said, as he sighed. "Will your apartment be ready when we go back?" he asked, as you shrugged.
You didn't exactly get a call from them. They did say that when inspection was done and that the final things that were supposed to be fixed would be fixed, they would call you. But you didn't exactly receive a call.
So it means that not yet.
"I don't know, probably not. I didn't receive a call" you said, as he nodded. "Then will you stay at mine when we go back?" he added, as you just sighed.
No, not really. You won't. Not because you don't want to. But because things will be complicated then.
You will stay with Hoseok, you both agreed on that. And he was more than happy to have you for maybe just two days. Until you had everything ready and a bit furnished.
"I can't, I already asked Hoseok" you said, hesitating a bit. Mostly once you say his reaction. The shock face he always makes.
"But you could've asked me" he was quick to say.
He did say that, but you don't want to bother him. With the whole Sora situation you decided it was best if you didn't stay at his place. She gave him a whole visit the day you all had to come to Miami.
And knowing that she knows about his places makes you hesitant to stay with him. If matters would've been different then you would've stayed.
"I know, but it's not for long anyway" you said, trying to make it seem as if it wasn't too bad. Which it wasn't.
"Next time ask me" he said, as you nodded. A small smile spreading on your lips. Turning around, you started walking towards the water. Rushing since Jungkook decided to make it a race and well the sand was way too hot.
Once you reached the others, the first thing they did was throw water at the both of you. Hoseok rushing to get to you as he pulled you towards the water. With laughs and a lot of water splashing, you had your fun.
Everything was slowly coming to an end, and you were definitely not liking it. Mostly because you know what will happen once you all go back.
And that stings.
____ꨄ____
Crouching down, you looked on the floor for any more clothing left, you slowly reached for a shirt. A shirt that wasn't even yours, it was Jungkook's.
With a chuckle, you stood back up, folding the shirt and putting it on the side of the bed.
And the time to go back home finally came. The next day approached as quickly as you hope not to. Once you all came from the beach and got ready to go out and eat for the last time in Miami. You all said your goodbyes to Miami that night.
The small vacation was nice even if it had to be short. You hope it wasn't the last vacation you would have with them because you truly enjoyed this one. It was crazy to think how much fun you had with all of them.
You knew this trip was going to be good, however you didn't think it would be as good as it was. You remember the morning of the trip, the amount of annoyance you felt when Jungkook wasn't at the airport and how his ex was at his apartment.
Anger grew inside of you that day and hell were you doubting this trip. You were hoping that everything wouldn't go downhill and it didn't. It was the opposite. It was one of the best trips you have had so far.
Getting to fix your differences and talk with Jungkook like two adults was the most important part. And no matter how angry you were, you didn't fully take it out on him. It was mostly you distancing yourself from him.
Which didn't last long. Not when Jungkook is the way he is.
You don't regret forgetting it all. It was the best decision you took and you ended up loving it so much.
As you finished zipping up your luggage, you placed it down on the floor. Looking around for any final things you might of have missed.
The room was cleaned, not as cleaned as it first was when you came in but it is. Everything is where it's supposed to, and nothing was truly broken. Of course the bed was the only thing you didn't make. Mostly because room service does.
"You want me to put your luggage in the car?" you heard a voice, making you turn to the side, watching as Jungkook came in.
"I can take it, it's a long way down" you said, as he nodded. "Oh here's a shirt of yours" you said, as you picked up the shirt, handing it to him.
"Look at you keeping my shirts" he said, as you scoffed. "Not even, you left it here on purpose"
He probably forgot about it. It was on the floor, you doubt he would've found it. His suitcase was already placed on the car for what you heard. It's a nice shirt as well, it would be a pain to leave it behind.
"How did you sleep?" he asked, as you shrugged. "Good, I needed that sleep after all" you said, as he just smiled.
"Back to where we first met, huh?" he said, as you just laughed.
It's not so bad thinking about it that way. The trip was great, you had so much fun. And even if it was short, it was great. But besides that, you are also ready to go back home.
You can't avoid the fact that there's things waiting for you back at home. Life needs to go back to what it was. And it would be nice to stay, but you preferred to go back.
"Yeah, back to that hell" you said, walking past him with your luggage in your hand. Placing it outside of the room as you came back inside, grabbing your backpack.
"By the way, are you still going to work at the club?" he asked, as you sighed.
That's something you also had in mind before this trip. Working at the club isn't bad, you like it and have been working there for some time now.
But you know you won't make it far with how much you get paid there. There's a lot you need to buy and do. And only working three days a week wasn't going to cut it. You definitely needed a new job.
Which is what you have been struggling to do. Jimin did offer the assistant position. He said you would fit the spot and to let him know. But you aren't so sure if you can. You don't have that type of experience. You don't want to disappoint Jimin.
He has a lot of faint in you, and failing him will make you feel guilty.
"No, I've been thinking about it. And I'll find a different job" you said, sitting beside him on the bed.
"Jimin offered a spot, he's becoming CEO after his father retires. And he wants to give me the assistant position"
The words shocked him. Shocked enough to turn to you, narrowing his eyes at you. It's surprising to say the least. You didn't think you would say such words. But it makes you proud of Jimin.
"Damn, i think you would suit the job" he added, as you sighed. "Unless he's around you all the time then no"
With a chuckle, you placed your head on his shoulder. The pressure is on, and you aren't even back over there yet.
"How about you?" you asked, as you felt his head rest on top of yours.
He did work at the gym before. He was a trainer. You knew how much he loved it and had fun while doing it. But he did say he was interested in photography. And that he wanted to pursue it in the future.
So you wonder.
"Well, i have an interview for an Agency tomorrow" he said, as you pulled away from his shoulder, your eyes wide.
"Wait really?" you said, as he nodded. "Oh my god, why didn't you tell me?" you asked, as he just chuckled.
"I wanted to get the job first before telling you" he said, as you smiled. Wrapping your arms around him, pulling him into a hug.
So he did end up going with photography. That suits him and it's what he has been wanting to do as well. You are proud of him for taking that big step.
"Aw, good luck then" you said, pulling away from him as he immediately wrapped his arms around you, pulling you to another hug.
He gently held you in his hands, his face resting on the crock of your neck. He wasn't saying anything, but for some reason you felt that he needed the hug. So you didn't hesitate to hug him back.
That's until you heard footsteps approaching your room, making you pull away from Jungkook as he just whined.
"Are you done Y/n?" a voice was heard, revealing Taehyung, who smiled towards the both of you.
"Wait, dude i was looking for you" Taehyung laughed, walking inside of the room as he pat Jungkook on the back.
"You and Y/n slept together?" he asked, as you were quick to deny. Hearing Taehyung laugh.
"I mean for you both to be here, alone" he said, the last part a little louder so you anyone that was outside could hear. But luckily they must all have been too busy to be snooping around.
"I was asking if she wanted me to take her luggage" Jungkook was quick to say, watching as you were getting nervous at Taehyung's comments.
He knows you well enough, and he remembers the whole conversation you both have. So if keeping this hidden is important to you. Then it's important to him too.
"Oh yeah, totally" he winked at him, as he looked over to you. "I think you both would look cute together"
"What?" you said, your eyes wide. "Wait, if you guys are together did you both fuck?" Taehyung asked, making Jungkook laugh.
"Taehyung no, you are getting it wrong" you said, trying to justify something. Even if Taehyung was right on the fucking part. It only made you embarrass enough.
"I knew the enemies shit was just an act" Taehyung added, pointing his finger at you and then at Jungkook.
"Alright enough" Jungkook laughed, as he started pushing Taehyung out of the room. Hearing Taehyung laugh.
"No wait" he insisted. "No let her finish fixing her stuff, stop making assumptions" Jungkook was quick to cut him off. Shoving Taehyung out of the room.
Taking a deep breath, you jumped when you saw Jungkook peeking through the door, throwing a wink at you as he went and yelled at Taehyung.
Chuckling, you smiled at his behavior.
The thought of Taehyung finding out did scare you, mostly because it seems as if this wasn't the first time he assumed such things. You could tell he had the idea. And you fear that he does.
Now you need to watch out for him, you truly do.
"Y/n, are you ready?" you heard Hoseok yelled from the outside, as you yelled a 'yes' back at him, already putting your backpack over your shoulders as you walked out of the room.
Finding a very tan and annoyed Hoseok. Who was being made fun of by Jimin who kept bothering him about not putting enough sunscreen on. Which was just continued by you.
And with that, the trip was over.
____ꨄ____
"Why do you think you would be great for this position?" he asked, as you tried not to smile at him.
It's been two weeks since you all got back from the trip. It was a matter of a fact until you all would go back to your regular lives. Which is exactly what happened.
Adulthood reached you all in no time, and before you knew it everyone was already doing their own lives. Starting new paths now that college was over.
It was scary to think that almost a month ago you were scared of graduation. You were sitting on a chair with many other students that soon reached adulthood. And before you knew it, you were quitting your job.
The club wasn't the greatest job you had. Yeah it was better than the coffee shop you used to work at, it made you earn more. But the work hours weren't enough. And you knew that perfectly well.
So you took the decision to quit.
After working there for almost a year, you finally quit and left. Of course you said your goodbyes to Yoongi, who was sad that you were leaving but said to keep contact with him. To not forget about him. To which you won't.
And while you were there, you were also going to say goodbye to Taehyung. But turns out he was also quitting the job. That he got a much better one in the same Agency Jungkook will be working on.
So it was both of you leaving the job.
You didn't feel too sad about it, but you still felt a bit of sadness. Although it wasn't much it was still something.
And well, now you are focusing on another job.
Your apartment was finally given to you. Once the lessee called and told you the apartment was ready and the keys were all yours, you jumped in joy. You dreamed of the day you would get it, the day you would fill it with all your furniture.
Although you don't have that much money to work with now, which was all used on your bed that you bought, a fridge and a dining table so far. It was mostly what you could afford and you promised yourself to slowly continue it.
So money was needed.
But of course the job that was offered was the assistant position. One that Jimin offered to you, he became the official CEO of his dad's company. He became a millionaire already, since well the company was worth millions.
To think you didn't even know about that.
So now you are being interviewed by Jimin himself. And even if he said you didn't need the interview, you still wanted to. To experience it fully.
"Well you see Mr. park" you said, as he giggled a little. "I'm a very hard working person, ready to put my all to the job"
"Oh, are you?" he said, writing something down on a piece of paper he had in front of you. As you nodded.
"Yes of course, i'm also a quick learner" you added, as his mouth opened wide, acting as if he was shocked to hear these words.
"I promise you won't be disappointed" you said, as he nodded. "No, yeah i can see that" he smiled, as he continued to write everything down.
"I saw on your resume that you have no experience in this field, so how do you think you would contribute with us?"
"As I said, I'm a quick learner. I always get the job done, doesn't matter the job. And i add a lot to this company" you said, as he nodded, writing everything down.
"Well Ms. Y/n" he said, standing up from his chair, as you followed. Standing up from yours. You watched as he nodded before saying anything.
"I can see you are determined for the job" he added, as you nodded. Waiting for his answer, to which you already knew.
"You are hired!" he said, as you clapped your hands in excitement. "Oh my, really?" you said, screaming a bit in joy as he chuckled.
"Yes" he said, as you immediately rushed over to him. Pulling him into a hug, something he smiled at, holding you in his arms.
"I think the CEO position suits you" you said, as he slowly pulled away. Tilting his head to the side as you looked around his now office.
"You think?" he said, as you nodded.
The office that was his father's now belonged to him. Quite a luxurious office you have got to admit.
Glass windows that show the view of the whole city. Well with how high you guys are, it would only be fair to have this type of view. His decoration was simple, white marble floor, dark gray paint on the walls and a big black desk that displayed so well.
He added some pictures around, like the ones you both took on the trip. Some of his mother, others of the three of you. He even included you and Hoseok on the side, smiling at something you were both looking at your phone for.
Everything seemed so like his vibe. It truly suited him.
"The office looks great by the way" you said, walking around the big office, looking at everything.
"Well I tried, my father had this office bland looking, and all the changes were made by me" he said, sounding proud of what he had accomplished.
You would be too, it looks so good.
"Applause to you then" you said, as he proudly bowed. Like those greetings in those movies where the prince meets the princess.
"I also made your office, although you can put any of your decorations" he said, as he started walking out of the office, you following behind him.
You followed him through the hallway, entering a room that was almost right next to his. Which you assume was your now office.
"I ask for white painting, not sure if you like it" he said, opening the door wider. Allowing you to step inside of the room.
He did a great job, it was similar to his office. Just different in a sense. Instead of gray painting for you it was white, like a sort of gray and white marble floor. With a black desk in the center. Of course the view was also there.
"You just need to add some pictures, anything you want truly" he said, pointing around as he walked over to the desk, motioning with his hand for you to come closer. Something you did.
"All the information about the login and numbers to call will be sent to you here so don't worry about not knowing it quite yet."
Well that made you feel much better, especially because you were already overthinking about that. But it seems like Jimin truly knows you.
"Thank you for this job" you turned towards him, as he just shook his head. "I'm glad to have you here"
"No but really thank you" you said once again, as he just smiled.
Jimin could have hired so many other good assistants that have way more experience than you do. Other assistants that would probably do the job much better than you would. You heard there were people with higher educations than you have. But he didn't. He gave you the chance.
He told you that you were the one for the job. That he knows your skills. He also added to put some faint in yourself. However, the fear of failure doesn't let you. You truly don't want to ruin this for him and yourself.
So you will try your all to not disappoint him.
"For now, I have some calls and a meeting to attend" he said, walking towards you as he sighed.
"You can start your job tomorrow, full training" he said, as you nodded. Feeling nervous yet excited already.
"For now you can go home" he said, as you nodded once again. Oh were you excited to start working.
This was an opportunity of a lifetime, and for you to have it makes matters great. You thank Jimin for coming into your life.
Always.
____ꨄ____
"Ah shit" you said, groaning as you sat down on Jungkook's nice and comfortable couch. One you truly wish to have in your apartment.
"You were obviously hired, but how's the building?" Jungkook asked, bringing you a mug with coffee you didn't ask for but he knew you needed.
"It's mind blowing, honestly" you said, truthfully answering.
He chuckled, sitting beside you. "Jimin truly suits the vibe" you added, as he just rolled his eyes.
After Jimin had to attend his meeting, and do his phone calls. You decided to stay a little longer. Getting to see everything and how everyone was working. All the details about what you had to do and the things you had to work with.
And god there was a lot of multitasking that you have to do, and even if you are good at it, it still is very scary.
Jimin told you not to worry, that you didn't need to learn everything right away. That over the course of the time you would get to learn it all. But you truly don't want to disappoint him at all.
"I do think I can fail at the job" you said, as you sighed, throwing your head back on the couch.
"Why do you say that?" he asked, as you didn't say anything. You just stayed silent, already feeling nervous about the job. Even if you weren't working there yet.
"I think you will be an amazing assistant" he said, assuring you of words that you already heard. Jimin said the same thing to you. Telling you about how great you would do, but you are still hesitant.
"I'm just worried about failing him" you commented, looking over at Jungkook as his eyes were already on you.
Giving you that soft sad look he always does whenever you feel like complaining about something he doesn't agree with.
"Jimin trusted me and i don't know" you added, as he sighed, coming closer towards you as he pulled you onto a hug.
"If he trusts you is because he knows what you are capable of." he said, as you just silently listened to him,
"Just trust yourself" he added, as you nodded.
It's true, you need to trust yourself more. Maybe you are overthinking about it too much. But you still feel the anxiety of starting a new job. With people you don't even know.
You know Jimin, the main person. But besides that you don't know anyone else. Everyone seemed too busy or they had their own circles. So yes, that scared you. For now you will try to trust yourself.
"But enough about me" you said, pulling away from him as your expression turned serious. Making him chuckle.
"So, about Sora" you said, the name already making you cringe once it came out of your mouth.
For the past two weeks, you have avoided the topic of her. It's not that you didn't want to talk about her, or maybe it is. But it was mostly the fact that Jungkook would be talking to her. He didn't say when he would, but he told you he would.
And for the past time, you've been avoiding that sort of talk. Trying not to think about her or overthinking of their situation.
So of course you didn't bring her up.
That's until Taehyung mentioned her. When you went to quit your job, Taehyung talked to you about her.
How he didn't expect her to come back and he didn't even know if it was a good thing she did. He talked to you about how she seemed to be wanting to be back in his life, how she came to change things again.
He even asked you to talk to Jungkook. It's not that he didn't want to, but he said hearing it from him might make Jungkook truly hurt, or even hesitant. The talk needs to happen, it needs to get over with. So he stops avoiding a problem that he needs to put an end to.
So yes, the curiosity grew in you. It truly did. And you want him to talk to her so he finally decides what to do. For the true thing to finally come out once and for all so you can stop overthinking so much whenever you hear her name.
"What about her?" his tone turned serious, annoyed even.
You didn't expect it, but it was mostly the fact that hearing her name might have brought bad things to him. After all she did what you wouldn't expect. And maybe because you have been mentioning her often.
"Well, you said you would talk to her" you added, as you rested back on the couch.
"And the others have seen her" you carefully said, watching as he turned in full shock towards you.
Which gave you the answer you wanted.
The day of the graduation, only you were with Jungkook. You saw her, you even talked to her a bit.
No one else but you knew about her. And you guessed that Jungkook decided not to tell them about her. Or he forgot to mention it
However, his reaction was giving you that he didn't want them to find out. And you understand why.
"How do you know?" he asked, turning even more towards you.
"Well, Taehyung told me the day I went to quit the job" you said, as you recall your memories again.
"He talked about how she showed up at his place, looking for you"
"What?" he loudly said, as he stood up. Walking towards his phone as he was quick to pick it up.
"Wait, what happened?" you said, as you rushed over to him. Standing beside him as you watched him scrolling through his contacts.
"She's doing it all over again" Jungkook said, finding the number he was looking for. As he quickly clicked on it.
"She is showing herself up to Taehyung first and then it will be Namjoon."
Calling a number, he placed his phone on his ear. Looking into your eyes. He waited for the person to answer.
"I'll get the talk over with" he said, before the other person in the line answered. And once he heard a noise he sighed.
"We can talk tomorrow, at the cafe near my apartment"
Oh so now he will talk to her. Now he will have that conversation with her.
And you don't know how to feel about that.
"Yeah, I'll see you there" he finalized the short call, hanging up the phone, as he placed it down on the counter again.
"I was planning on waiting, but I feel like I have to now"
He does, it will be too much once she shows herself up to his friends. It will bring him more pressure, especially because they all know how Jungkook was a few months ago. The way he acted.
And just how hurt he was. You saw it all in front of you. So of course they will all be shock enough to see her again.
"You don't have to pressure yourself to talking to her"
"I know" he said, his eyes averting to your hands. Before you knew it, he took your hands in his.
"Let's talk about something else. About your apartment" he said, pulling you back towards the couch. As you both sat back down.
With a smile, you started talking about your whole apartment. And even if you were still wondering over his ex, you decided to not continue talking.
It seemed like he didn't want to speak about it, so why should you? He doesn't feel comfortable about that topic anymore, and you will understand that.
Even if it killed your curiosity.

As Jungkook walked into the coffee shop, the sound of the bells was what caught his attention back.
When it came to the topic of his ex he wanted nothing to do with it. After everything that happened with Sora, the last thought he had on his mind was to see her again. To be entering a cafe where he knew she was there.
Everything has been all over the place for him for the past two years, almost three. And until recently he can say he has gotten better. He has become again the person he once was before the heartbreak and the love.
Someone told him that love would feel like a drug, something so addicting that when you leave it, you would feel empty. And he didn't think he would feel any of that, until he had to experience it himself.
The amount of pain he felt during that heart break, the amount of love he gave her that she threw away. Yet still to this day he doesn't know why.
She said he loved him, they had a beautiful relationship. And all of the sudden she left, she talked to him about wanting to do something different.
It just doesn't make sense to him and quite frankly it never did. So part of him being in the cafe ready to face her again has to do with that.
His eyes lingered around, as he spotted a familiar face on the window side, sitting on a small round table, looking out of the window. With a thoughtful look on her face.
Apart from her hair that grew a little longer, she still looked exactly as how he remembered her. The same features, the same way she did her makeup, or her way of dressing.
He hates still thinking about all of that stuff, yet it seems like he can't help it. Sora is his ex after all. It's not his fault truly.
Taking a deep breath, he made his way towards the table, watching as her eyes lingered towards him. With a small smile, she was quick to stand up, looking at him with such soft eyes.
"Hey, kookie" she said, the nickname ringing in his ears for longer than it should've. She still dares to call him that. It's not that he minds it, it's sort of meaning less now. But before he loved it.
He adored the way it came out of her mouth, or the smile that would form on her lips right after. He loved all of that. And now it's being buried underground.
"Hello, Sora" he said, looking towards her as she motioned for him to sit down. Something he was going to do anyway.
As he sat down on the wooden chair, she followed right after. Sitting back on her seat. She put her hands together, flashing Jungkook a bright smile.
"I know i came all of the sudden" she said, knowing that he had a lot of thoughts in his head. And a lot of questions.
Hell he had questions for years, and it seems that until now she will be able to answer all of them.
"A lot has happened, and i think you should know the truth about my decision" she said, pulling a little notepad closer towards her, which seemed to be the menu.
"Here, let's order something first" she added, pushing the menu towards Jungkook, who nodded before taking the menu.
He scanned the menu a bit, already knowing what he wanted. He asked her what she wanted and with a smile she was quick to say her order.
He took matters into his hand, and walked over to the counter. Telling his and her order to the lady on the counter. And then walking back to the table.
Sitting back down as anxiety was growing more and more inside of him. He wanted to know it all, he was so ready to know.
Of course he didn't want to just go straight to the point. No matter how she left him, he wouldn't have the heart to talk bad to her.
"How have you been?" she asked, as he wanted to scoff so badly. The audacity she had to ask such a question after what happened.
He finds it unbelievable. He wanted to believe that she was just asking the question to cut the tension. But truly there was nothing for that.
"How do you think I have been?" he asked her instead, the question sounding as bitter as he truly wanted it to sound.
He wasn't in the happiest mood, and she knew that.
"I'm sorry for asking, I should have known" she corrected herself. And at this point of time he would tell her that it's okay, that he didn't mean it that way even if he did.
But he doesn't say that.
"Listen" she started it off. "What i did two years ago was messed up" it took her two years to figure that out? Unbelievable.
"I left because I was afraid of commitment" she said, her voice going lower than it was before. Making him realize it was serious now.
"It wasn't because I didn't love you, or that I wanted my own path" she said, as he listened closely.
"It wasn't you, I love you more than anything" she added as the more words coming out of her mouth were hitting him.
Oh the way he wished to hear those words before. To hear her say that she loved him, and it wasn't his fault that he left.
He doesn't want to think of that time when he felt miserable. Of the time he couldn't even live with himself because he thought it was his fault.
He blamed himself for everything that happened to their relationship. And this is what she comes up with now? After years?
"You could've told me, I would have given you space" he said, wanting to know exactly why she took that decision on her own.
If she would've come up to him and told him about how she felt, he would've understood. He would've given her enough space for her to feel comfortable. So many things would've changed if she only would've trusted him enough to tell him.
And she didn't.
She decided to lie and leave him.
"I know you would, but I didn't want to hurt you" she said, the words being a little too late.
"I didn't want you to think I fell out of love, It was never my intention"
"But I was just lost" she said, her eyes becoming glossy. The same glossy eyes he knew whenever she was ready to cry.
It was the sign to him whenever she was going to cry and that she needed comfort.
"I got hurt too much from guys that didn't want anything serious from me that it made me scared to give my all to you"
He watched as her eyes were becoming more glossy. The tears were forming that if she just closed her eyes the tears would fall. He knew she was in the verge of tears, she has always been sensity.
He remembered all the little details about her. It was the reason why the heartbreak hurt even more and more. It was the reason it broke him.
And until recently he was able to be okay again. Without her as well.
"I didn't want to hurt you and I did even more" she continued, a tear falling out of her eyes as she quickly wiped it.
It looked like she didn't want to cry. She didn't want him to say she was looking for sympathy– because she wasn't. But she couldn't help it.
Bringing the past does have its effects on a person. And sadly he is feeling it right now as well as her.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" she said in between her silent sobs. "And I know that won't fix anything"
"But I want to make it up to you" she said, wiping the rest of her tears as he quickly shook his head.
"You don't have to" he quickly said, as she was now the one shaking her head.
"No I do" she said. "I hurt you, I truly did" she added. Before a smile displayed on her lips.
"But just know, I was hurt as well. I cried days and nights, thinking about you. I cared and still do about you. It's the reason why I'm here"
What did she mean? He had a thought. He had a feeling of what she meant. The words seemed almost strange to him.
Yet familiar.
She would always do that. Whenever she made a mistake and admitted it she would make it up to him. She would do so much for him. Buying him things he would like, doing activities he always liked to do. Even if she didn't like them. She did so much just for him to feel okay.
So yes, it brings back memories.
"I'm here to show you I'm not the same as before" she smiled, as the waiter ahead called out to Jungkook.
He quickly stood up from the chair. Walking towards the counter, he smiled towards the lady. As she received him with another smile.
He grabbed the small tray from her hands, as he slowly walked towards the table. Placing it down on the table, as he placed Sora's coffee by her side. Putting his coffee on his side.
"You never change, huh?" she smiled, grabbing the mug, as she took a small sip from the coffee.
"What do you mean?" he asked, as she chuckled. "Always being the gentleman you are."
He didn't know what to say to that. He was just confused.
Seeing her again felt odd. In no way did he think he would be seeing her again. And mostly not talking about their break up and why it happened. He expected so much once he graduated.
Just not this.
It's not that he doesn't want to see her. Or that he regrets coming here. It's none of those. He's just got used to not seeing her.
Every time he saw her his heart broke into pieces. He just couldn't get her out of his heart. And it seems that now things change in his life.
He hoped they have.
"Jungkook, I want to be in your life again. If you let me" she said, catching him off guard.
Well that's not what he was expecting. Out of all the things, that was none of it. He can't believe the words he is hearing.
She wants to go back into his life after hurting him the way she did? The audacity some may say, but for her, it's called love. She loves him enough to come back after years, to apologize even if that's not enough.
He felt so confused, so odd. There were thoughts running in his head. Ideas, doubts. So much was going on. He couldn't even think straight.
"I still love you, Kookie" she smiled, another set of tears coming into her eyes.
"I never stopped loving you" she added, as she wiped her tears with her thumbs.
He was definitely not expecting that. There's no knowing if her words made him feel relief or even hurt. There was so much hope back then.
So much love in his heart for her, so much he would do for her. And she decided not to take it. To hurt him even if she didn't mean to.
But for some reason he can't have the heart enough to tell her no. To tell her to fuck off. He can't.
He loved her after all. With all of his heart.
"I um.." he hesitated, something she quickly noticed. As she was about to reach her hands to him, she stopped herself.
"I'm not pressuring you. It will be a slow thing. Step by step so I don't hurt you"
"Please think about it" she smiled, standing up from her seat, as she smiled down at him.
"I have to go, my friend Seokjin will pick me up soon. But I'll keep in touch with you" grabbing the coffee in her hands, she stood beside him.
The urge she felt to give him a hug, to hold him in his arms, or to be held by his arms. It was all badly in her heart. Her heart ache so much with just seeing him.
She noticed the change he had. The way he looked different. New hair, a more built body, or even the tattoos he has on his arm. She noticed it all. Yet to her, he's still that same Jungkook she fell in love with.
The same boy she saw thanks to her friend on her first day of classes and fell completely to him. To which she regrets everything she did.
With a last smile, she walked out of the cafe. Leaving Jungkook clueless and truly surprised.
There's no thoughts in his head. Yet. But once they all start rushing to his mind, he will be lost. He will be struggling.
He can already see it.
____ꨄ____
As your heels clicked on the stone, you smiled at the person who was rolling the window down.
"Hey" you waved, ducking down to see him a little more. "How have you been without me, Jeon?" you asked, hearing him chuckled as you opened the door.
"I was in a bad mood, and you always help somehow" he said, as you flashed him a smile, closing the car door.
"How was work?" he said, looking ahead on the road. "Good, tiring though" you admitted. Feeling your legs giving out with how much you had to walk in those heels.
It was you walking back and forth, getting different things that Jimin needed. From coffees to a lot of paper work he needed to check and even sign. He was kind enough to tell you to take it easy, that today was just training for you. But you took it seriously.
You can't be slacking off. That's definitely not the way to go. If you start to slack off you will continue to do so. And so far, you love the job.
Yes it might be a lot to handle and so tiring, but you got it. As time goes by you know you will get better at it, you can see it.
As Jungkook turned the car on, you noticed just how odd he was acting. You didn't want to say it out loud, but something happened to him.
He looked more thoughtful than usual, his expression seemed to change. He smiled less and even talked less. Something about it made you feel odd around him.
And the urge of asking him was there.
"How was your day?" you asked, as he just shrugged. "Good, it was my day off so" he said, the answer being dry and simple.
Well this is new. You truly weren't expecting this Jungkook.
With lingering thoughts, you watched as he drove off. The sound of the radio making you overthink and think once again. He seemed more quieter than usual, and for Jungkook that's truly surprising.
He has a lot to say, this morning he dropped you off to work. He said he would continue to do it because he was excited for you. And even if you insisted not to since you have your car, it didn't matter to him.
And right when he left you at work that same morning he said he was waiting for you to explain your entire day to him. That he would want to know all the detail about your new job.
However, that seems like just a core memory now.
There's something wrong, you know it. You can't just sit and watch as he grew anxious. It was obvious that something was going on. You knew him too well now not to realize his little expressions and mood changes.
Making up your mind, you slowly turned towards him. As the car stopped at a red light. Licking your lips, you sighed.
"Is something wrong?" you asked, as he looked at you, shaking his head. "Not that I know off" he said, looking back ahead, as he tapped on the steering wheel.
"I'm serious, I can tell something is wrong" you added.
If he wanted to fool you and act like nothing was wrong then he got the wrong person. Something about you is that you got to learn just how he acts when he is sad, angry and even happy. All those little emotions are always so obvious.
You don't fail to ask him and he doesn't fail to explain it to you. To express himself to you even if that makes him cry or even frustrated. So hearing this makes you thoughtful. He has a different expression on his face.
You see a lot of doubt. You see him confused.
"Nothing is wrong" he said, driving once again when the light turned green. Either it was something that bad or he just didn't want to tell you.
Either way, you were willing to know.
"Right, that's why it looks like you are sulking" you said, as he took a deep breath. Still ignoring your question.
It was weird for him to act that way. He hasn't done it before. Maybe when he's mad and wants to avoid you. But other than that, he doesn't.
So you wondered if you did something. If he's mad at you, or he's upset over something else. Maybe something personal.
Jungkook can be very open sometimes. But he can also be very quiet. It's up to the person to be able to unlock him. To be able to find a way for him to trust you enough to tell you what's wrong.
He's one of those hard puzzles that you think are so easy at first. They can even get frustrating from time to time.
You didn't notice when he finally parked by the sidewalk of your building. Bringing you back to your thoughts.
"Did I do something?" you asked, as he looked confused. "Jungkook, i know you" you added, as he realized what you meant.
"I can tell something is going on, and it's fine if you don't want to tell me" you continued. A deep breath leaving your mouth.
"But lying will do nothing to you" his vision soon went to his hands. Watching them because he couldn't look you in the eyes.
"I talked to Sora today" he said, as your eyes widened. There it was. You totally forgot about the fact that he was going to talk to her today.
You were so busy with your job that you forgot about it. Now it adds up, but now you wondered what they talked about. For him to be like this it has to be bad or unexpected.
"And how did it go?" you slowly added, being careful with your words. As he just shook his head.
"She wants to come back into my life again" he said, as the words made your heart drop.
Of course you were right. All of that overthinking was truly right in the end. You knew she wasn't going to be here to be friends with him. She wants to be his girlfriend again. She wants to be with him again.
It was obvious and you knew it so well. Yet you tried to deny it so much.
"So?" you said, not wanting to hear his response. Something about this doesn't give you a good feeling.
"I don't know" he said, as you tilted your head. "That means you are thinking about it?" you questioned, as he was quick to look at you. His eyes meeting yours.
You knew that Jungkook got hurt by all of this. That he loved Sora so much to the point he felt the heartbreak for two years. You had that very clear.
However, you didn't expect for him to be thinking about letting her in his life again after what she did to him. God you hoped he didn't think it through. But it seems like he did. Or might be thinking about it.
"You will seriously go there!?" you added, as he wasn't saying anything.
"After she fucking left you, you are thinking of letting her in your life again!?" you shouted, not realizing you did. It's not like you cared, you were too angry to change that.
"I don't know, i'm fucking confused" he sighed. "I don't know what to do" he said, putting his hands on his face.
"This is all fucking stupid" he shouted. "I thought you were better" you said, as he removed his hands from his face.
"Seriously?" you looked at him with such a glare that you haven't given to him for months now. That same anger that was there before all of this happened. That same anger that always built up inside of you when you saw him.
It's all coming back to you. The same way you both had arguments. The lack of explanation or just how stupid you both acted. It's all coming back. And you don't know why.
"This isn't easy for me, okay?" he shouted. "And she fucking left you" you added, shouting in the same way he was.
"You fixed yourself and she's coming again to break you again" you shouted as he just shook his head.
"Sora isn't like that, she is too kind" he said, something that made you scoff. "Oh please" you laughed.
"That's why she did that to you" you cut the laughter. "You even defended her"
"I'm not, i'm just confuse. My thoughts all over the head" he said, as you just shook his head. The disappointment being real this time.
"Yet you are thinking about it" you added in a lower tone this time. "I don't know" he shouted.
"Do what you fucking want" you attempted to finalized the conversation. As he didn't let you.
"Things fucking happened, i know what she did" he said, passing a hand through his hair. While your blood was boiling.
"My mind is all over the place" he added, as you chuckled. "Yet you are still doubting whether to let her in or not, right?"
He didn't say anything. No words, no emotion. He just looked away from you, as you just answered your own question.
"You still love your ex after all" you said, chuckling as a way to hide how hurt you were becoming.
You had so much faint in Jungkook. You always expressed how proud of him you were for changing. For continuing his life after being hurt that way. That now all you feel is disappointment.
Not just in him but yourself. To think this is what he is deciding to do and even what he thought about doing hurts. It really does.
"It's not that–"
"It is, what a fucking shame" you continued to laugh, as you felt tears wanting to rush down your eyes. "Y/n, listen–"
"Don't pick me up anymore" you said, grabbing your bag as he reached out for your hand, trying to stop you. As something you didn't let him, not this time.
"Don't call me either" you added, opening the car door.
"You made up your mind, and I hope. I truly do, Jungkook. That you don't get hurt the same way i found you"
"You chose what you wanted and if that's what you want, go with it. But don't talk to me again" you said, getting out of the car as he kept calling your name. You closed the door, walking towards the building.
No matter how many times he called your name, asking for you to listen to him. You didn't. You couldn't.
You had so much faint in Jungkook. After everything that he went through and was able to get out of the situation he was in, you felt proud for him. You reminded him just how proud you were and that he should continue that way.
And in a matter of days, seconds, he ruined that. He demolished everything he built for himself. Whether he realized it or not, it was bound for him to know.
As you clicked on the floor, you watched as the doors closed. And before you knew it, you bursted into tears.
You didn't understand why it hurt this much. Why your heart was aching this way? Or why you felt so hurt. You didn't understand why you had tears flowing down your face.
It was his decision, he was the one that was going to get hurt anyways. But while doing that, he hurt you. Even if he didn't know.
He hurt your heart deeply. It felt like a stab to the heart. Nothing had hurt you more than the way you are hurting right now.
You remember crying this hard the day your mother said horrible things to you. And now you are crying over Jungkook.
Why would he do this? Love can be like a fucking drug, and it's one that Jungkook is addicted to.
You watched as he kept calling you, spamming you with messages. Telling you to hear him out, that he didn't explain himself. That he was an idiot. To talk to him.
But you didn't have the heart to face him, to see him or to hear him. So with a heavy heart, you turned your phone off, placing it inside your bag. You quickly wiped your tears as more of them rushed down your cheeks.
As the elevator doors opened, you quickly to step out. Your vision becoming blurry for how much you were crying.
He hurt you, he truly did.
