Charlotte still laid there on the couch with Aubrey, they had changed positions now. Instead of Aubrey holding Charlotte, his head now laid on her chest and his arm wrapped around her stomach.

She scrolled through tiktok and let him sleep in peace. She jumped when Chubbs, who had walked in quietly, said lightly, "How long has he been asleep?"

Charlotte looked at the time on her phone screen and whispered back, "Seven hours." Chubbs walked behind the couch so she could look at him without straining her neck. "He looked dead when I came. When was the last time he slept?"

Chubbs answered honestly, "I seen him sleep four hours in three days, and that's adding up all the nodding out I seen him do." Charlotte shook her head and ran her hand down Aubrey's back.

"Didn't really think he would stress out so bad. It wasn't fun for sure, heartbreaking. But to not sleep for three days?" Charlotte couldn't believe he did that to himself.

"You know Aubs', he will stress out and think about what he did wrong, and how he could've done it differently. And he won't stop until it kills him," Chubbs rested his hands on the back of the couch.

"How are you doing?" Chubbs asked. Charlotte breathed out deeply, she felt so much she didn't know how to phrase it, "I'm just happy I'm here."

"We're happy too, this is where you belong, and you damn well know it. We'll all be dealing with each other in the old folks home, playing poker in the sun room and shit," Charlotte tried her hardest not to laugh and wake up Aubrey. "I'll leave y'all. Real happy you're back sis," Chubbs ruffled Charlotte's blonde hair before he walked out of the room.

Charlotte raised one arm and fixed her hair. Her shoulder was starting to strain so she wanted to move around, but Aubrey was too big to move without waking him. "GG" She whispered. When he didn't answer she put her lips closer to his ear, "GG,"

He groaned a little but slowly raised his head. He opened his tired eyes and looked around the room and then to Charlotte. "GG', let's go upstairs and go to bed."

"How long have I been asleep?" He rested his head back down on her chest. "Seven hours."

"Damn, I gotta' get up," His voice was raspy.

"No, we can just go back to bed. You need sleep."

Aubrey shook his head, "We need to talk."

โ•โ•โ• โˆ˜แต’โˆ˜ ๐“…” โˆ˜แต’โˆ˜ โ•โ•โ•

"You asked for Momma Kris's blessing?" Charlotte sat next to Aubrey on the couch, a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. Charlotte's back rested against the arm rest so she could face Aubrey as they spoke to each other.

Aubrey nodded his head, "I asked Caitlyn too."

"I went to mom's this morning," Charlotte grabbed her phone off the coffee table, "and she told me to go somewhere if I wanted proof that you are serious. And I found this," she showed Aubrey the picture of the old warned out letter.

Aubrey gave a small smile, but also looked a little embarrassed. He thought that letter would stay between him and her parents, but he was happy she had found it. "It wasn't right, to not ask them."

"Did," Charlotte took a deep breath in, "Did they send you a sign?" In the letter Aubrey wrote that he hoped the two would send him a sign with their answers.

"You don't have to believe me. But it literally sends chills throughout my body. A week later, I got a bundle of hydrangeas at my door with no letter or tag on them," Aubrey told her, "I think it was your mother's way of saying yes." He rubbed the chills off of his arms, he had no way to explain that story. He hadn't told Charlotte, but he had told all of his boys. Chubbs told him that it was Charlotte's parents giving him the green light to propose to their daughter.

Charlotte slowly nodded her head with tears in her eyes. "I know you never meant for me to find the letter, because you know I don't go there often. And sending my parents flowers every week, is the most thoughtful and selfless thing anyone has ever done for me."

"And that's what really pushed me to be here, and to give us another chance."

"But there's other things to say as well, and some boundaries to be put," Charlotte added.

Aubrey nodded in agreement, "I absolutely agree."

"First thing, is that when you're doing a feature with another female. I need to know the details of past relations with them. I don't need to know what positions, I really don't want that picture in my head. I just need to know when, and to what extent." It was one of the biggest things that bothered Charlotte with the Azul situation. That Aubrey was still collaborating with a woman he had slept with, without Charlotte knowing about it.

"Second, I know girls are apart of the lifestyle. Go out with the boys, get a section, fill it with girls, buy them drinks. I don't want that anymore. I feel like it's disrespectful towards me. If the boys want girls, whatever. But I don't want to hear , 'oh, Aubrey had like two hundred bitches in the section last night'."

"And third, I need more from you. I don't need money and jewelry, cars, birkins. It's amazing that you want to show me that love, because you can. But I need more personal time. Your love language is gifting, and mine is quality time and touch. I need more from you. And if I'm slacking with my part please let me know, and I will work on it." Aubrey was fully aware that his main love language was gift giving, and that he lacked in other departments. But he had been trying to be better at it, and would continue to try.

Aubrey nodded his head, "And can I add something too. Something that both of us can act on?" Charlotte of course agreed. "Two weeks is the longest we can go without seeing each other. Once it hits fifteen days, we need to meet and have a day me and you. We have both reached places in our careers where we can make that possible, and I feel like that will help."

"Absolutely," Charlotte could not agree more, "I love that. Fourteen days max."

"Also, I'm letting you know. That I will be acting differently for a while. And it's because the trust has been broken there," Charlotte's voice became strained, "Cause' I know it happened before we were together, but you hurt me and that's all that matters. It's going to take a while to get back to what we were. That trust, that love."

Aubrey reached over and grabbed Charlotte's hand, "We'll start over GG'. Nothing but honesty this time, I swear."

Charlotte nodded her head. "I do love you. That's never something I could shut off. Even if we weren't together I'd still love you."

"I'll love you until the day I die,"  Aubrey kissed her hand, "Whenever, wherever."

"Whenever, wherever," Charlotte's lips turned into a small smile.

"Can we please get Lucious and go home? I'd really like to be together," Aubrey asked. "Let's go," Charlotte got off the couch and dragged Aubrey up with her.

"GG' for my birthday I know I said I wanted to do the yacht thing. But management got me a show in New York tomorrow night. It will be my first show in almost a year, can you please come with?" Aubrey drove Charlotte's Range Rover to Chris Brown's home a couple of streets up the hill.

"I'll come with." Charlotte told him. She wouldn't miss his birthday for the world, even if they weren't together.

A couple minutes later they pulled into Chris's driveway, the father and son stood in the doorway as Lucious packed the last couple things into his Spider-Man backpack. Both Charlotte and Aubrey got out of the car.

"Mommy!" Luc' ran up to his mom and wrapped his arms around her legs. Once he seen Aubrey he immediately let go of his mom and ran into Aubrey's arms.

"It's been so long!" Luc' awed at the man. Aubrey picked him up and wrapped his arms around the child. "Too long kid, too long. You coming home with me and mom?" Lucious nodded his head vigorously.

"Alright, let's go," Aubrey opened the backseat door and put Lucious down on his booster seat. He helped the child buckle in as Charlotte went and grabbed the backpack from Chris.

"Everything okay with you two?" Chris asked in not an angry or petty way, but in a caring way. Charlotte took the bag that Chris was gesturing towards her. "As I get older I realize that relationships aren't bliss and happiness all the time. Relationships are about learning, improving, forgiving and loving. And I'm willing to give it a chance."

Chris smiled at his ex/fiance, "I hope it works out for you." Charlotte smiled back at him and started to make her way back to her car. Aubrey closed the door that Lucious was in and turned towards Chris. "Chris lemme' talk to you for a second."

Charlotte stopped in her tracks at the hood of the car. Aubrey noticed the un-easy look on her face, "It's alright, I'll meet you in the car in a second," he kissed the top of her head. When Charlotte realized there was no ill intent in Aubrey's look she continued her way to the car.

Chris stood waiting for Aubrey. The two had not spoken in a couple of years, and if they had, there were no nice words exchanged. Chris was also skeptical in where the conversation would go.

"Listen, I know we've had our differences that made us not willing to be around each other," Aubrey started, "But, I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. So, for the sake of the family. We move on from it all," Aubrey held out his hand for Chris to shake.

Chris stood there for a while and thought about it. But, after a couple of seconds he reached out and shook the other rapper's hand, "Respect."

Aubrey gave Chris a nod before he walked away. The sun was starting to set, the sky was an orange-pink color. It had been a very long couple of days, and everyone had been exhausted. But Aubrey was excited to go home with his family.

Charlotte laid in bed, she was clothed in one of Aubrey's shirts. Lucious laid in between her and Aubrey, he was out like a light, dead to the world. Aubrey's arm laid above Lucious head and his fingers played in Charlotte's hair.

"You know," Charlotte spoke lightly so she didn't wake up Lucious, he didn't usually sleep with the couple but Aubrey insisted he did for the night, "In the poem you wrote me. It says, 'that's why I got your name on my ring, engraved' is that true?"

Aubrey pulled his arm back from Charlotte's hair.  He took a diamond encrusted ring off of his supposed to be wedding ring finger, it had been there for so long Charlotte couldn't remember him not having it. He then handed it over to Charlotte. "On the inside."

Charlotte tilted the ring so she could look on the inside of the band.

Charlotte Beth Evans-Jenner

"I got it engraved like a week after we went public, so I have you with me wherever I go."

Charlotte thought back to the letter that he had written her dead parents. After the couple had went public is when he said he knew that he want to marry her. And shortly after he had her full name engraved on a ring and he had been wearing on his wedding band finger ever since.

"You're going to have to change that soon," Charlotte reached over and slid the ring back on his finger. Aubrey raised his eyebrow at her.

"To, Charlotte Beth Evans-Graham."

Aubrey smirked. "It was a mistake to have Lucious sleep in here tonight."

Charlotte chuckled , "It was your decision. And we ain't moving him, he will have a meltdown." Charlotte rolled over on her side and had the most peaceful sleep of her life.
