Chapter 1
EveryDay Life
I rolled out of bed to get ready for the best day of my life! Just kidding, I'm going to school, best day ever? No not really, more like sit in a desk, in an awkward uniform and be told to do worksheets or listen to a teacher, then hang out with your friends, which is the only good part. Bus ride was boring, then I got to school, blah blah blah, I'm positive you don't care what happened in language arts or L.A for short. Unless you really want to know about appositives or subject/verb agreement. A summary of that class was that I stared at the clock, occasionally listened and drew on a little blue sticky note. Then the bell rang meaning it was break. I closed my binder that was on my desk and rushed out of class with Emma following behind me, then Paxton, then Sophy and Megan. Paxton started us off with an awkward conversation saying "Omg let's fangirl together!" Everyone giggled and I joked in a really girly voice "Omg like, like, totally!" Then we continued talking about who-knows-what and calling each other our awesome nicknames while Paxton kept trying to change the subject to young justice or kid flash or even gingers. We wouldn't let her though because most of the group had no idea what she was talking about. I hate inside jokes between two people when they are in a group, because you don't get it and you feel left out, so I do the same to them. I rested my arm on Sophy's shoulder for no reason at all as Megan just stood there. Paxton was now trying to shove swimming into the conversation, that's literally all she does, ever. I could never hang out with her because she was always busy, swimming. Then Milo came along and tapped me on the shoulder. Milo was the only competition to our class leader, everyone else didn't compare. Milo pulled me away from the group and asked "Have you seen my band, that yellow one." I smiled and said "Isn't that Zero's band, the LiveStrong one?" Milo looked side to side and lied "Maybe". I laughed and questioned "Are you still trying to beat him to the top?" It was pretty obvious but I asked anyway. He nodded and I recommend "Try and check his desk, then on him, oh and on his water bottle, it's usually there. And what does stealing his band have to do with anything? Cause that's a pretty sucky plan." He nodded again "Yeah I know but that's just a decoy plan, I need you to take it then lure him out so I can then put some glue on his seat. Keep him out as long as possible. I nodded, like whatever right? I'm on either side, that's why I'm usually the go-to person if you want something. I walked in and scanned the room, full of desks that were out of order here and there. Zero's desk caught my eye, in the front right corner, when you enter the room. And there was his dark blue water bottle with the yellow band clipped onto the lid. "Oh well" I thought to myself as I casually waltzed over to his desk and as I walked by, I gabbed his water bottle and unclipped the band from the lid. I saw Zero glanced over to me then go back to talking but then looked over at me again as I was struggling to get the band off. I looked back down. He walked over just as I got the band out. "What the heck are you doing?" he said as I backed up. I didn't say anything but back up some more and swung the band back and forth tauntingly then ran outside. He followed as I went back to my group and pretended I didn't have it, just to start an argument. Milo went in the class and I didn't see him after that because if I saw him, Zero could, probably. Still arguing, the bell rang and I sped inside and sat down while putting on the yellow band. The teacher walked up to the front of the room and told us to sit down before Zero got to me. After that he forgot, and didn't ask again. Milo's plan was a success, Zero got stuck but luckily didn't rip his pants getting up, otherwise Milo would be in trouble. Instead glue stuck to his pants all day and it was hilarious. We had math, science then lunch, finally. I grabbed my lunch from my locker and went inside to go sit down. Emily came over to my desk and ate with me as we talked about random things. Then there was recess, then life skills which I love because we just discuss things mostly and answer yes or no questions but then there was gym which was soccer of a couple of days, 3-5 because we change the sport every so often. After I got into my gym uniform I waited for the rest of the group and headed into the hallway where the teacher just gives us a brief summary of what we are doing or just comments on gym. Then we went out into our little group, walking alongside of each other. You see, our field is weird because there is literally a random hill there that we can't go down the other side and I'm guessing because there is a park down there, I've seen people walk their dogs there. Here's the thing, there is no fence so anyone could just wander into school grounds. Also there are houses all around which isn't that odd to be around a school but it is to be around a super busy, always traffic, road. Anyways, soccer, I'm super competitive especially in soccer because I love it. Our gym teacher got us to sit down and told us some rules and got us to answer three questions as I played with the grass in the field. My little group was with me as always. The teacher said we where going to do kings court so what that is when we get into groups of 4-5 and we have three 'courts' and if you lose a game you go down the court if you are already at the bottom and you lose you don't move but if you win you go a court up until you are at the top and keep winning. He let us start and we got in our normal group, all five of us, while other friends grouped together as well. We choose the middle court on the right and another group joined our game on the left net. Of course the top group of boys, Zero, Milo, Sar, Baruch and Larry, went straight to the kings court being their cocky selves. My group was OK, we weren't anything too special, we were awesome but not to loud around others and popular like the other group I just talked about. "Imma dominate this." I said excitedly, jumping up and down. "WOO!" shouted Paxton, joining in on my hopping and fist pumping. Emma came up behind us and grabbed our hands. "Stop that your are acting like idiots." as she rolled her eyes and walked away. I looked at Paxton and just started hopping up and down once again with Paxton. There is pretty much three groups of girls and three guy groups. There is my group the crazy ones, then there is the girly-girls, and the others that get scattered around every-so-often. With the guys we have the ones who think they are so much better than every one else, the quiet ones and the few weird ones, be honest, most classes have these people. Now, back to the soccer, the group across from us was the girly-girls. These other girls also sort-of think they are so great but we beat them, it's soccer i think you know how this sport works. My group moved up and switched spots with the previous loosing team, now competing with the cocky group mentioned earlier. We are currently tied 2-2 and the time is running out to choose a winner. I went down the field and blocked Zero as I was trying to get the ball their goalie was now kicking to one of his team members to get up up-field to our net. I moved out of the way of Zero and the goalkeeper shot the ball in his direction, quickly moving in front of him I took the ball from him and passed to Paxton who was closer to the opposing team's net. Running up to meet Paxton near the net I was tripped by Zero who was angry that I took away his shot at winning. "Oh it's on!" I shouted at Zero grabbing his ankle making him fall down wth me. Quickly I pushed up using him as a stool pretty much, pressing him to the floor more. "Darn you Rori!" Zero yelled angrily calling me by anything but my name as he usually does. My real name is Aurora and Zero always finds a way to not call me that. Paxton ,who was hesitating at the net with all the people around her called me and passed the ball my way. I dribbled to an empty section of their net, kicked and scored! Me and my group celebrated and rubbed it in the oposing team's face. We continued being awesome and gym ended quite a while later. the rest of the day Zero hated me and I tried my best to keep the band out of sight, because this band was growing on me, I like it. Then I went home. Still nothing really exciting.
Chapter 2
A Clumsy Mistake?
Morning came around and I slowly got out of bed dragging each step to the washroom only to prepare for another boring day at school. Today had a field trip planned for me and my class only. On the bus heading to school I said nothing. When my friend, Taiden, came on the bus I only asked him what the day was. Saying thanks I turned back to the window and sat silently. A few stops later my friend Tony got on the bus and we talked only a little. Later on I noticed that Tony started to talk about a radioactive rain or something that gave my class the ability to turn into an animal when I was gone. She said her animal is a panda, at first I was shocked and unbelieving but then she showed me that she can turn into a panda. I was sort of jealous and left out because I don't have the awesome ability to turn into an animal. Shortly after entering the classroom I was surprised by Paxton, one of my best friends. "Ready for our field trip!?" she asked excitedly. I answered with a polite "Yeah", even though I had completely forgotten where this trip was going to be. The teacher stood up in front of the class and gave out a few rules that I didn't bother to listen to. Emma, Megan, Sophy, Kimmy and Paxton seemed to do everything with me all together. I didn't mind, I loved having them as my best friends. Once everyone was on the bus to go there I chatted with my friends the whole way there. Finally there, I stood up and walked slowly out the bus. Examining my surroundings I had no idea where I was. As I entered the unidentified building Sophy shouted, "This is so exciting!!" I didn't bother to reply back. I was too busy glaring at all the shimmery glass containers neatly lined up against both the walls on my sides. The teacher dashed to the front of the group. "Welcome to the chemistry section of this wonderful science building." said a man in a white clean lab coat. I knew he obviously worked here. The guy with the lab coat said that we had one hour to look around on our own. I quickly walked away from the group hoping to explore on my own. Far from the others I found a suspicious door with the words "KEEP OUT". I couldn't help but peek in. I found tons more of the glimmering containers but with amazingly colored liquids in each separate one. Being my sneaky self I couldn't help but go inside. I looked around carefully and as quietly as possible opened and closed the door behind me. When I was finally in and safe I took a quick spin to see what was all around me. I soon realized that this wasn't the best idea. I lost my balance which sent me crashing into the shelves of open and filled containers and bottles. The wall shelf fell almost hitting me but luckily caught on a nearby desk. Not so lucky for me though. I sat on the broken glass covered floor soaked in whatever was in those containers and felt like I had a headache from some of the glass hitting my head. The liquids combined together somewhat which made it look like a rainbow threw up on me. Randomly something pinched me but i ignored it. I realized quickly that my friend Paxton stood there shocked. I was filled with embarrassment. I looked at her worried and said "Is anyone with you!!?" Paxton replied with a stern "No, no ones with me". I quickly and quietly said "Well get over here and help me NOW!!!!" Paxton ran to where I was and helped me up. We then pushed back the wall shelf, threw away the broken glass and soaked up all the substances left on the floor. After drying off myself Paxton realized that we were late to get back to the group. Throwing the towel we found away we ran out dashed to find our group. At the end of the day we were all ready to go home and I was walking to the bus with Taiden. I didn't say much but I did notice that he did talk more than usual. I just casually took a tiny step away. Then sarcastically said "Hold up you can save your breath there I don't really want your life story!" I knew he hated me from all the times I annoyed him and wouldn't care if I said anything like that. On the bus home I sat with him and helped him with his homework which I didn't want to do. He didn't say much but I kept distracting him which made him struggle some more. When I finally reached home I rang the doorbell, about seven times. My mom answered the door looking angry. I smiled and walked inside past her. Throwing my backpack and jacket on the couch I was approached by my dog, Hurley who was sniffing me like crazy. I knelt down and petted him. I went to my room after my mom said she would be out of the house for the night. My brother was gone out. I was thinking the whole time about what happened at the science building. A couple hours later I walked to the bathroom but before I got there I stopped dead in my tracks. I started to feel dizzy. A moment later I dropped to the floor totally unconscious. A half an hour later I woke up and got up where I fell. My jaw dropped. I had been transformed into some sort of, mythical wolf. I was black with white paws along with my tail tip and had thunder bolts all over me. I realized that the lightning bolts had changed color as my mood changed from freaking out to worried. I thought maybe this wasn't going to be that bad but still what is going on, is this from the substances that fell on me in the science building? But I knew my mom and dad were going to be home soon so I had to turn back to my normal human self. I don't know how I did it but within seconds I was me again. I was extremely happy to know I could control these transformations. I made up my mind and decided not to tell anyone except my parents because they had to know. I started to worry about what could happen during school. What if I really can't control my transformations? I heard a click and the front door being unlocked. My parents were home and I knew I had to tell them. After letting them settle down I finally told them the whole story. They understood which made it easier to tell them. They told me that it was a good idea to keep it a secret. After talking for a while I went off to bed. As normal my alarm went off early in the morning and I got ready and walked to and on the bus. At the next bus stop Taiden got on and as usual asked me what I was doing. I replied with the same nothing as usual. But I knew from this day forward my life was going to be very different. Sitting in class during social studies an announcement came on the speaker. "Aurora Ross please come down to the office there is someone here to pick you up". I knew that no one had planned to pick me up today, but I also wanted to leave so badly. I got up out of my desk and got my stuff and headed down to the office. "Hello" said a women with a calm, soft voice.
Chapter 3
Taken to, Where?
"Hello?" I replied back. "You are probably wondering who I am, am I right?" the woman asked. "Yes, yes I am, why are you here and who are you?" I asked sternly. The woman kept a clam steady tone throughout the whole conversation but I knew she was up to no good. She signaled with her head to leave the office and lead me to the school yard. She stopped by a large white van with the words "SCIENCE LAB" and a few other ads for people to go there on the sides of the van. I was trying my hardest to act like I wasn't afraid of what was going to happen. "To answer all your questions," she finally said, "I am Carla, and I'm here to take you for a drive. Now before you freak out we promise not to hurt you but we may if you refuse to come." she said with her voice getting more serious. I knew having the ability to turn into a wolf was almost guaranteed to be stronger than whatever she had planned for me. I made up my mind and calmly said "No, I refuse to go with you". "Well then you just got into some trouble here missy." she said angrily. Carla snapped her fingers and the back of the van's doors opened with a slam. Then five men came out and lined up in front of me and not too far away. I saw another white van pull up and I knew there was going to be more fighters for me. I followed my instincts and turned into that wolf thing. On all four paws I narrowed my eyes and swayed my thick, bushy tail back and forth trying to look intimidating. The honest truth is I was scared and had no idea what I got myself into. For a second the guys lined up looked scared but then shook out of it. Carla just stood behind them and smirked which made me unaware of the capability of these people. I knew since I was a wolf I had to get used to using my teeth and claws. "Get her." Carla said in an evil tone. Baring my teeth all the men ran towards me and I charged toward them too. I grabbed them and threw them across the field and knocked them out practically. More men came and tried to get ropes around my neck to try and pull me into the van. Some may have slipped on but I didn't bother but I soon realized I should have. As soon as most the men were down I took a mad dash to Carla in attempt to reach her. All the guys suddenly picked up the four ropes and pulled me towards the van all while I snarled and snapped at Carla. I leant back swaying my head trying to get the ropes off while not heading to the van. I got so close that it was killing me to give up because the ropes were choking me horribly. Something caught my eye, it was a random golden retriever standing on top of the hill watching in amusement. I barked, yelped and howled for help but the clueless dog didn't do anything it just tilted its head. I turned toward the dog that had no collar and was perfectly groomed so I was assuming it was someone from my class. Turning to the purebred K9 idiot I barked, yelled and howled again for his help. His curious eyes glared down at me showing no emotion. The mutt finally started to move towards me as I held my place refusing to budge. I started to bite at the ropes which slightly tore them but they realized the golden retriever running towards me so they made their final move. After a final push I was in the van with some others and they closed the door and tipped me over and pinned me down. They said they were not going to hurt me and I growled at that lie. I was far too tired to even care anymore so I put my head down and laid there motionless. A while later we came to a stop and I perked up. They immediately pushed me back down. They grabbed the ropes and all got out before me shaping a square pulling me out slowly. I didn't bother to attack them I just walked where they lead me with my head down. I recognized this place but we were just entering from a different entrance. It was the science center and I lowered my ears, tail and head in shame of what happened last time I was here. After walking through the building for a while everyone stopped and settled down in a large room. They moved me towards a square in the floor that I refused to go into. One pushed me into it and I fell forward. Carla immediately pushed a red button that was on the counter she stood next to. Purple laser like things closed in on me and I was trapped in a small box. I backed up when suddenly I felt a sharp sting on my tail so I quickly moved my tail to the side of me. I realized that the lasers caused the pain in my tail. I growled at Carla. "Don't tell me I didn't warn you." She said confidently. "That's enough Carla!" commanded a tall man in a lab coat. He looked pretty young, he had dark brown hair combed over on one side and talked in a slight british accent. "Fine!" Carla complained and sat in the chair by the counter. "Now, Aurora is it right?"
"Yes.... What do you want?!"
"Anyway you may call me Dr. Blue, now we promise not to hurt you but that incident that happened earlier was just my assistant Carla here was is always trying to be right."
"No kidding."I said glaring ay Carla baring my teeth. "Ok well I will explain why you are here. We noticed that you spilt some of our valued chemicals on yourself. Now you can turn into a wolf as Carla already told me that you figured out already. But, Carla noticed you didn't know how or that you had any powers." Dr. Blue said. "Powers?!" I said unbelieving of what he said. "Yes, powers, you may not know this but you are now capable of whatever you want. You may be excited but you should be worried too for if anyone else finds out you could be tracked down and get controlled by evil people only wanting ruin of this planet."
"So wait, I can do ANYTHING?"
"Yes you can. But be careful of how you use powers or we all can end up destroyed and ruined."
"Yeah yeah yeah, but are you guys here to help me out along the way?"
"Yes but not all the time which could be a problem. We still have to do our jobs. "
"Wait how is it a problem?"
"Well you see having your amount of powers can cause you to go all out and possibly destroy everything in your path. That's why we need someone to keep watch over you and well, keep you under control."
"I can control myself!!"
"See, rage. You can't control your anger." I growled at that and said back, "Well we can worry about that later but now that I know you're not going to hurt me can I get out of this." Pointing at one of the lasers they suddenly disappeared but I realized it was just Carla who pressed the red button again. I stepped out of the square engraved in the ground making sure I was out of them. "So Aurora you will be staying with us for a while, to learn to use your powers. You see it's actually very simple, you just have to want to do... whatever you want to do." he said. "Wait what! Let me try." I said doubtful of what he said. "Wait make it something not crazy, like make something levitate." "Ok here goes nothin'." I concentrated hard on one object in the room and thought about lifting it up. Suddenly the small container floated in the air. I moved it back and forth then slowly put it down. "Perfect! Now this might be a little hard on you but you will be staying here until you learn all about your wolf creature. By the way, since you will be stuck with this wolf, why don't you give her a name?" he said calmly. Inside I was worried about how I won't be able to see any of my friends or family for about a year, well until my training is done. I finally came up with a name and said "Crystal, Crystal..... Fang". "Perfect" he said.
Chapter 4
Finally, Freedom!
It's been around a year and a half now and I'm super excited because I will soon be able to go out and live a life, maybe. I have been trapped in this science building forever, well it feels like it. Anyway I finally know how to use all my powers and I will be heading to my final exam early this morning to test how I do with all my abilities. They said they will be testing me in smarts, strength, my reaction time and how I can control my powers. I am extremely nervous because if I don't pass I will be stuck here for another three months. "Are you ready, Crystal?" a calm voice whispered behind me. I perked up and spun around quickly just to see Dr. Blue gazing at me. He soon fixed his eyes on the door that lead to the room I would be taking my test in. He signaled for me to go ahead of him so I walked towards the door with him in silence. When I entered I realized that Dr. Blue was no longer behind me but in a room next to the one I was currently in. I saw him through the glass as he sat down with a clipboard with a few sheets on it. Sitting beside him was Carla with her own clipboard, same with a few others I met while I was here. Dr. Blue announced that there would be another glass on top of this one so they can see me but I wouldn't be able to see them. They said it was so that I won't get distracted or nervous. After that the glass came up and the test began. I knew the first test was going to test my smarts but I had no idea of what was planned for me. First they gave me a bunch of hard questions for me which included school questions and what I would do in the situation they gave me. I was confident I passed. Next it was announced that I was moving on to strength. They opened a few doors that were around me to reveal lions, hungry, blood thirsty lions. I knew from experience that I shouldn't hurt them but first I should show them who is boss. I let them make the first move they all glowed at me and I roared back ferociously. Most backed away a little. One male lion stood his ground thinking he could become boss over me. I roared once more to give him his final warning. He lowed himself to the ground ready to pounce. I didn't want to hurt anyone especially animals but this is part of the test. I pretended to surrender then when he got close I got up and scratched him across the face. He went for my neck but I jumped right over him which left my claw marks in his back. I then bit his tail and pulled it so he faced me and then digged my teeth into his neck. The male lion yelped and ran back into his cage along with the others. The next test was extremely easy and fast. They just got me to react to some situations to test how fast I was. The last test came around and it was for how I use my powers. I finally finished them and the test was over. The shaded glass lowered and Dr. Blue stepped through the door that leads to the room I was in. He waited for a few seconds then shouted "You passed!" I started to jump up and down excited then he told me all about what to remember while I live a sort-of normal life. He took me to the room I was in the very first time I was brought here. Carla was there and welcomed me with a warm "Congrats". I replied with a polite thanks then Dr. Blue told me Carla was going to suit me up for the world. Carla went to a back room and came back out with a needle filled with a maroon colored liquid in it. She told me to relax and injected the substance into my arm. I yelped a little. Carla told me it was something to make me more controlled; I don't know, it was just a mumble of words to me. Dr. Blue walked in and sat in the chair by the desk. Carla got another needle and did the same as the first one. In the far corner of the room, the door I came through, opened and someone came in and said unaware that I was there at all "Dr. Blue the tests you wanted are now finished". In shock I said "You? What are you doing here?!"
Chapter 5
A New Partner.
He replied with a calm "Umm... I work here."
"Since when?"
"Uh... since about two weeks ago."
"Oh."
"By the way why am I talking to... a robot? He said looking around me trying to see my tail, I guess. Carla stopped writing down something and looked at us. In my head I was asking myself where I saw him before I recall seeing him somewhere. Carla explained to this guy the whole story. I was blushing from my stupid accident with me falling into the shelf. "I believe I haven't introduced you two", Carla started, "Zero this is Aurora, Aurora this is Zero." In my head I was thinking "Huh, Zero, where have I heard it before?"Wait is he that guy that sat across from me in school? It's been so long". But it wasn't long before I noticed that I have been speaking aloud. Zero replied back "Wait your that Alora kid that sat like across the room from me right. Everyone thought you died."
"Well I'm alive so....and my name is Aurora"
"Yeah I kinda sorta realized that and I don't care." he said with a rude tone. I hate how he is so rude and his lack of caring disturbs me. In the far corner of my eye I saw Carla whispering to Dr. Blue but I didn't bother to use my super hearing to know what they were saying. Carla came towards us and said excitedly "You know each other?!" "Well duh." we both said as we looked at each other strangely. "Well that's great," Carla started, "Because you remember how Dr. Blue said you need someone to control your use of powers so you don't go all out and whatever?" I messed up my eyes and said "Yeah so". "Well since Zero just started working here and you two go to school together... maybe he could be the one to control of the use of your powers!"Carla shouted excitedly. I froze and then screamed "WHAT! You mean spend more time with him?!" "Well no you guys don't have to, he just has the remote." I was about to say something but Carla cut me off by saying "Also Aurora we will still be testing you along the way so you will get random tasks along the way. Good luck out there but I doubt you will need that at all." Dr. Blue said before signaling for us to leave. I followed Zero out with my head low trying not to make eye contact with him. The door opened and I perked up. It has been so long since I have last seen outside. "Well", Zero started, "I'm tired can I go home."
"Yeah sure whatever, why do you ask me?"
"I don't even know."
"Wait, why did you agree to do this in the first place?"
"This is just a test. If I pass I get to leave you and work at the science building but if I fail I will have to stay with this remote, until I qualify that is."
"Oh please pass I don't want to be stuck with you."
"Hey I'm not that bad"
"Sure." I said sarcastically while I smirked at him. I then turned back to Aurora or my normal human self. Zero stared at me in awe then said "Anyway bye Alora" he said. I gave him a rude smile then said "Sure, and its Aurora. You know, it's pronounced a-roar-ah." Zero smiled back and said "Phhhh, I don't care" I rolled my eyes and teleported to my room and went to bed.
Chapter 6
Just, Disappeared
I woke up and went to the bathroom to get ready for school today. I was extremely excited because I couldn't wait to see all my friends again. I have missed them so much and I hope they are in my class. I got my kilt on and I was ready to go so I ran to the bus. After I settled down I listened to my IPod the whole way there. As soon as we got off the bus everyone separated. I went straight to my friends there which were Tony, Sophy, Megan, Emma, Kimmy and Paxton. My story was that I went on a vacation around the world. The bell rang and Paxton as always ran in first while I called her a nerd. As soon as I got in the class I noticed that I sat in the far top corner of the room with Baruch beside me, Zero in front of me and Ikjot across from me. Ugh I'm surrounded by guys. The school day passed by slowly and boringly. I felt weird because I had to spend the whole day catching upon what I missed. But we did have fun. We played soccer together and I dominated. At the end of the day I was so happy to get on the bus and go home. Then right at that perfect moment Tony decided to tap my shoulder wanting to talk to me. I immediately took out the one headphone I had in and turned to her. "Hey Aurora what's with you?" she whispered to me. "Uh what are you talking about." I questioned knowing what she was talking about. "Oh come on, practically everyone has noticed how much time you have missed." she asked me pretty much determined to get an answer. I got nervous from that thought and said "I told you this morning, I vacationed around the world" I said "Right." she said before turning back to her phone. I turned then grabbed my headphone and scooted away from Tony a little. At home again I ran to my room with my IPod and plopped down on my bed. And checked my email from Dr.Blue. It said "Hi Aurora. I bet you have noticed that the lightning bolts on Crystal change color according to your mood. Anyway we did some research here in the lab and found out what each color means. It would go like this: Color- Its mood got it. Well here are all of them:
Light pink- In love
Dark pink- Romantic
Light green- Happy
Dark green- Bothered

Without saying a word I ran to the mail box to see an awesome lightning bolt necklace with no color in it yet. When I held the necklace it turned yellow to show I was excited. I went back to my room I tried to put it on but I struggled a little. I guessed because it would stay on Aurora at all times not on Crystal though it somehow comes off then. I eventually got it on. While holding it I turned again and said "It's, so, awesome." He let out a short groan and said turning to me as well "I'm glad you like it. Now, can we do something?" "Uhh, how did you get here" I asked very creeped out. Then I realized that the things in my room started to shake as well as I did. Am I in an earthquake? I asked myself. I know I didn't seem too scared but
Zero was shaking and not from the earthquake. "I don't wanna die!!" he squealed before hugging my waist for protection. I put a safety bubble around us and pushed him off of me so he fell. I then quickly made the bubble larger to surround my house so none of the things we had would get destroyed. I looked outside to see it only getting stronger. I spread the bubble larger so it could cover the entire earthquake. It was so tiring because it took up most of my energy too so I could only barely stand. All I could see was white and a few faint shadows around me as I held the protective shield in its place. I took a half-hour maybe but I heard Zero's voice saying that it had ended and I could stop. I dropped the shield making a bright light shoot away from me as I looked around to see the comfort of my room again. I was extremely exhausted but something was missing. Zero was gone. The power that I just so suddenly dropped must have had some effect on him. "Zero! Zero!!" I called but no answer, just a dead silence.
Chapter 7
Stupid Cat!
Freaking out mode activated. I searched everywhere I could but there was no sign of him. I started thinking of bad things that could happen to me. Zero has the remote to control the use of my powers so what if I get attacked and none of my powers can be activated. I know he is nothing important to me but for my protection, I need him. An idea popped into my mind. I will call Dr. Blue and then ask him what and why this had happened. "Duh" I thought to myself "That took a long time to figure out for someone who now knows everything." I got up and ran downstairs to call Dr. Blue but I stopped and realized that I didn't even have his number. "Stupid!" I whispered to myself. I looked outside then thought that I could just get there myself. Ugh but I live so far away, oh well. I opened the door looked back and ran out as Crystal. I just ran to where I thought it was and that was a bad idea because I got lost after a few minutes. If you were wondering why I didn't ask my parents to take me there or even for directions it's because they are out on vacation with my brother so I'm home alone for like a month. I am really supposed to be at my friend's house but I can't stay in one place for too long or I will explode. It's just one of the perks of being part wolf, dragon, cat and fox and every other animal I'm just mostly those. I was actually even warned by Dr. Blue to never be in one place for a month or longer, something about going insane so I'm staying out and away from one place. I mean I guess there is still school but still. Anyway I was lost but it was fun I guess, I got to explore on my own. Like about a few hours later I found my way to the science building and I sprinted as soon as it was in my sight. I walked in and found the room I was first in when I was brought here and luckily enough Dr. Blue was in there giving orders to Carla. I walked in and they both looked at me and smiled. I lifted my head up and said "Something bad has happened and I don't know how it happened or what to do about it, I was hoping you could help". Carla and Dr. Blue tilted their heads in confusion then Carla said "Alright well speak". I then explained the whole story about Zero going missing and so on. Dr. Blue then said "I knew this would happen sooner or later. Just to warn you this only happens once so you don't have to worry about this happening again. Ok well anyway what happened is that your first use of really powerful magic can affect the people near you so good thing it was only Zero who was near you". I sighed in relief to know it would never happen again but then said "Well where is Zero?" Dr. Blue shot me a look of confusion. "How would I know" he started "That's your job to find out where he is. He could be as far as China to right in this area". "Oh I really hope he isn't too far away" I thought to myself. I was about to leave to start my search for him but I was stopped by Dr. Blue who asked "Wait, how did you get here anyway? Aren't your parents gone on vacation?" "Well yeah they are on vacation. I got here on foot." I answered. "You mean you came here on foot were anyone can see you as Crystal Fang?!" he said looking worried. "Oh no I forgot I was even Crystal." I said feeling really stupid. "Well you better be on your way then and stay as Crystal, there is no point of staying as Aurora and all your useful powers are off so it will be safer to stay as Crystal anyway. I will have other people out searching in different places to help." he said while turning around and telling Carla to set up search parties in different locations. I then turned and ran out. "Wow great job Aurora, only your second day with a partner and you already lost him." I lectured myself. I ran in whatever direction I felt like going. I ended up in a forest or a park I couldn't really tell. "Why did stupid Zero keep my useful powers off?" I asked myself quietly. Looking up at the sky I noticed how late it was. I saw a tree that was bigger than the rest so I curled up against the trunk and fell fast asleep. I awoke with the burning sun in my eyes and I took a look around me to see if I am still where I was and if I was ok. Yup still under this tree and perfectly fine. Slowly I got up and just plopped back down; I am not a morning person. After a while more of sleeping I was finally able to actually get up. I started my search again but this time I felt like something was watching me. Time to run. I headed to any where I could but my running triggered like a go signal or something because a van like the one I was captured in when I was brought to the science center but with nothing on it charged out from the road and followed me. I looked back to see that they released this robot thing from the back of the van. Rushing away from them the car stopped at the top of a hill but that robot thing was still chasing me. Last minute I turned my face forwards to see where I was going and I realized that I was headed right into my school. I looked down to use my head to break through the grade 8 hall doors. I turned knowing the robot was still following on my tail but there was a sudden loud crash. I turned my head to see that it had a horrible reflex to turning for it had crashed into the principal's office. I knew the robot thing was going to destroy my class just like the office cause my class was in a corner so you would have to turn again. I almost slipped while turning to go through the grade 6 and 7 hall. Again I heard another crash. I turned my head again to see the wall from my class destroyed. "I'm so sorry my class." I whispered to myself. I crashed through the grade 6 doors to end up back where the van was parked. I ran in zigzag's to confuse the robot. In the corner of my eye I saw a grey thing running beside me. I turned my head over to see it was a grey fluffy....cat?! What was it doing following me? Suddenly it jumped on my back and tried to hold on while I was still running. I yelped because its claws where digging into my skin. "Stupid cat! Get off!" I shouted as I bucked it far in front of me because I'm a huge animal freak and I would never want to hurt an animal unless I had to save lives. As I ran past it I picked it up by his or her scruff. "OWE!" I yelped as I felt something sharp hit my back right leg. I looked at my leg and saw it was a dart of some sort. The cat I was holding in my mouth also had a dart in its back leg. I dropped the cat to see that my teeth left a mark in the poor cat's scruff. "I'm so sorry kitty." I said. I started to get dizzy then I fell over right beside the cat. Caught again.
Chapter 8
Just an Animal
I woke up in a strange place but there were random people all over the place. I got up and quickly realized that the stupid cat was laying on me. I pushed it off and it rolled down the rock I was on in a very odd way. "Ouch." I whispered to myself as I saw the grey cat roll and twist down the rock. I also saw that I had left the kitty with a blood stained neck and a deep wound. I looked around to see a cage surrounding me. I'm in a zoo!!!! I went to go check on the poor kitty. Yep she is breathing I'm good. I can live a life with knowing I didn't kill a cat. Yeah she is definitely a she I could tell by her scent. I reached for her but I stopped because I didn't want to hurt her anymore from my teeth. I just rolled her on the floor like a wheel with my snout to the back of a tunnel they put there for me so she could recover. I sat at the front of the tunnel like a guard but still far back enough to not be seen. A few minutes later in the corner of my eye I saw that cat's tail twitch a couple times. I turned to see her then she lifted up her head and sat up. She mewed a couple times and I was guessing she was trying to talk to me. "Kitty say what?" I said while tilting my head. "MEEEEEEEEW" she screeched angrily. I gave her the ability to speak English. A ball of light or something appeared and floated towards the cat and went down her throat. The kitty leaned forward and I guess she was trying to gag it up but she stopped after it settled in her. "What just happened?" she said in a familiar voice but I couldn't recall it. "I gave you the ability to speak English so I could actually understand you. You're welcome by the way." I said calmly. "Thank you, but one question...who are u?!" she replied while sounding a little freaked out. I thought for a minute that I should probably not tell this random animals my real name so I just gave her the name of my wolf self. "Crystal Fang", I said confidently, "And you are...?" She paused for a while as I did then said "M-my name is... is...." she thought for a brief second, "Abstract...?"I looked away. "That's a nice name." I said angrily. I knew she was lying for even one of my powers could detect lying and besides she stuttered far too much. I didn't want to point that out for I didn't bother to tell her my real name either. A moment later a random guy that worked here flopped down a raw piece of meat then ran out in fear, I guess because they don't know what I am capable of. "Stay here." I demanded before I quickly ran out with my body close to the ground. I picked up the piece of meat and brought it back to the tunnel. I dropped it in front of this so-called Abstract. "Ewwww that's so gross." she complained. "What kind of cat are you?" I questioned. She thought for a while again "I just never tried it before ok." she said sternly. I cut out a piece for her but it was way smaller than mine because I'm a wolf and she is just a tiny kitten. I really didn't want to eat the raw meat either because I was still part human but again my wolf self took over and gulped down the meat as if it were chocolate for me. I saw that Abstract was hesitating a little but she finally got it in her mouth and chewed a bit off slowly. I watched her with a questioning look on my face and my head tilted. "What is it?!" she said while looking up at me. "Nothing." I replied calmly, still not taking my eyes off of this strange cat. A while later she was still nibbling on the small piece of meat so I got a little irritated. "What are you, a mouse in a cat costume?! Eat it already it seems like your just chewing it and spitting it out!" I shouted. I then used my paw to smash her face down into the meat she was hesitating with. Abstract lifted her face from the meat and gave me like a death look or something "Not funny." she growled. "Yeah but it kinda is." I said smiling and giggling. "Anyway", I started, "Why the heck did you follow me?!" "Uh... curiosity?" she said while looking at her paws. "Uh huh." I rolled my eyes and looked at her again. "Why really?" I asked her again. She looked past me to see something outside the tunnel I guess. "Ooooo." she got up and padded toward it. "What are you doing?" I asked her. "Hehehehehe!" she purred and batted it some more until it rolled toward me. I looked at it confused then said "A wrapper... really?!" She smiled at me. I backed into the tunnel not wanting any of the people to see me. People walked past the cage I was in and some stopped to try and see me but only saw a cat which left them very confused. I just laughed at them silently. I looked up to see the full moon perfectly shining and I sniffed the air. I finally came out of my hiding place to see a guy with keys, probably closing up. I stood there not realizing what I was doing. The guy came up the fence and looked straight into my eyes and complained "Oh so now you come out you little mutt!" I growled at him and he stood there not scared at all. "That's it!" I snapped. I bared my teeth and barked while growling. The guy fell backward and ran off while I still stood there, feeling proud. I could tell I was close to the pandas in the zoo along with the tiger's cage which is not too far away either. That's weird I thought the pandas would be here in like 5 years, huh. "We need to get out of here." I said still looking at the moon. "Well I would like to know how." said Abstract while looking up at me from playing with the wrapper she found. "I have an idea but I need your help. You in?" I asked looking back down at her. "I'm in." she replied. "Ok so I'm going to make my teeth safe so they won't hurt you but I will pick you up and fling you at the fence while using my magic to make you almost like a meteor so you can make a hole in the fence ok." I explained. "Umm... ok." she said confidently. I picked her up by her scruff and swung her back and forth a few times to pick up speed. I then let go of her which sent her flying towards the fence. I purposely didn't use my magic just for the fun of it. "I'm like a super-hero!" she yelled excitedly before crashing into the fence and falling back down to the floor. I laughed so hard I was lying on the floor almost crying from how funny it was. "It's not working." She complained while still ramming into the fence. "I'm, so, sorry." I lied while still laughing through my words. "Let me try again this time I will get it right I promise." I said still giggling a little. "Fine but you better get it right this time." she demanded. "Ok ok I will." I promised again. I did the same as before but I did use my magic which made a perfect sized hole in the fence for me to slip through. I jumped through the hole only to notice that Abstract was quietly waiting for me where she landed which was far away. As I came closer I noticed she had an angry look on her face, I guessed it was from how I smashed her into the fence the first time. "Alright kitty let's get out of here." I said looking at her. "Good I can't wait to get home. But one thing," she said looking up at me, "I'm like really tired". "Like I care now let's get a move on cat." I said while turning and looking anywhere for an exit. I trotted like a horse in a random direction while Abstract tiredly dragged herself behind me. After a while of wondering around in the zoo I finally found the exit. As I was walking out I heard abstract say "WHAT!!?" I halted and looked at her and asked "What is it?" "Look at that sign." she demanded looking worried. I looked up at the sign above her and it read "Zoo of China". I started to get angry "Are you kidding me, this is going to take forever to get back home!" "Calm down I know I'm angry too but we can do this come on you are a magical wolf." she said calmly. "I know, I know. By the way try anything funny and I will leave you as just a cat to find your way home on your own." I said seriously. "Ok." she said sitting down and looking drowsy. "No no no you can't sleep now we just started our journey." I said. Abstract got back on her paws and shook out of it without saying anything. I started heading East as Abstract followed me. I didn't know how long it was but I started to get exhausted and I felt bad for Abstract for she was only a small cat. Abstract kept her eyes focused on the ground for whatever reason but she started to stumble then she fell completely from exhaustion. I went to where she was, picked her up by her scruff and put her on my back for her to sleep. After traveling for a long time I couldn't go on any longer so I fell to the ground in need of sleep. In the morning Abstract was still sleeping so I just got up, put her back on my back and continued on. A while later Abstract finally woke up and was laying on my back still. "Pretending to sleep huh, Abstract? Yeah your ride is over get off my back!" I commanded tilting her off my back. "Ooooowe" she whined as she got back up on her paws. I just kept walking without looking back to see if she was still even following. I heard moaning and whining so I came to a stop dropped my head and ears and moaned too rolling my eyes. Without looking back I commanded "Get over here!" Abstract perked up and excitedly questioned "On your back!?" I rolled my eyes again and finally said "Fine". Right after that Abstract ran up to me and hopped and my back shouting "Away we go!!"
