"What is right and what is wrong,
the mind knows everything,
but despite knowing everything,
the heart does wrong!"

AUTHOR'S POV
.
.
.
She was sitting quietly in her cabin, feeling unmotivated to work on anything.

She had never felt such intense confusion in her life as she was feeling right now.

She couldn’t understand what was going on between them. Arjun treated her differently from the other employees as if she was very special to him. It seemed like he cared a lot about her and everything related to her.

It was as if he was always looking at her, trying to call her near him for some reason, and touching her.

She wasn’t saying that she didn’t like any of this. She loved it when he did things like that.

Looking at his actions, it seemed that he liked her. If that was the case, then why didn’t he come forward and confess?

She was going crazy thinking about this.

"You like him too. If you have the courage, then go and tell him you like him, right?"

Her mind mocked her.

She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a tone.

She picked up the phone without looking, as she wasn’t in the right state of mind to think clearly.

"Hello."

She spoke without feeling much.

Her heart sank when she heard the voice on the other side of the phone.

"Hello, Siya! I need your help. Come to my penthouse right now with the file for Mr. Malhotra's deal."

It was Mr. Rathore!

She was so lost after hearing his voice that she couldn’t say anything.

"Siya, are you there? Can you hear me?"

"Ye...s...sir," she spoke with difficulty.

"Okay, then come."

"Yes, sir! I’m coming."

After saying this, she quickly hung up the call and sighed with relief.

Siya looked at the clock. It was 7:00 pm. She had been so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t even realize the working hours had ended.

This wasn’t unusual for her. She had been to his penthouse many times.

One of the reasons she felt special. She had heard that no one was allowed to go to his house, no matter how important the matter was. Apart from Aarav, no one had been to his penthouse. Siya was the second person to go there.

She took out Mr. Malhotra’s file, booked a cab, and headed towards Arjun’s penthouse.

She reached his penthouse just as it started to rain.

As soon as she got out of the cab, raindrops began to soak her.

Seeing the rain, her heart filled with joy. Forgetting everything, she started enjoying the rain.

She stood there, drenched in the pouring rain, for who knows how long. She came to her senses only when she heard her name.

"Siya, what the hell are you doing?"

She heard a husky voice from behind.

She looked back and almost had a small heart attack after seeing Arjun.

He was in casual, wearing grey track pants or a black sweatshirt. Which was stuck in his body like a second layer, due to which his muscles were visible.

"why are you getting drenched in the rain Siya?" He again asked.

"Ohh. Actually..me..by.. mistake..se..actually..wo..SORRY SIR!"

She was just too embarrassed to say anything.

"Come inside quickly. Otherwise, you will fall ill."

He instructed her.

Siya could feel the concern in his voice.

She started following him, they both went inside the lift, and he pressed the button for his floor.

Siya could feel his intense gaze on her, he was staring at her.

Water was dripping from her clothes. At this time, she was feeling very embarrassed; she wished she could just somehow disappear from here.

She started biting her lips in awkwardness.

As the lift doors slid open, they stepped into Arjun's expansive penthouse. The entire building belonged to him, and his penthouse took up a huge portion of it. What surprised her was the absence of a main door – the lift opened directly into the penthouse. It felt risky, making it vulnerable to theft. But she quickly brushed those thoughts aside.

She knew that Arjun's penthouse was as secure as the Parliament House. No thief, not even a fly, could enter without his permission.

Still, one thing puzzled her – with all his wealth, why didn’t Arjun live in a grand mansion with his family? She couldn’t gather the courage to ask him.

Some people at the office said that Mr. Rathore had left his family and now lived alone in the penthouse. They claimed he no longer cared about them.

But Siya didn’t pay attention to such rumors. She didn’t believe everything she heard.

Arjun started walking further inside, but Siya stayed in place, standing near the lift.

Noticing this, he turned back to her and asked, "Why are you standing there? Come inside."

"Umm, water is dripping from my clothes. Your house might get dirty, so.." She said nervously.

"Don’t worry, Siya! I won’t make you clean it, so come inside." He chuckled.

Siya felt even more ashamed, listening to him.

Siya went inside following his command.

Whenever she came here she became amazed every time. It's more like a royal mansion than just a penthouse.

She was shivering because of getting drenched in the rain, and suddenly she sneezed.

"Achchi"

He looked at her.

"Look, you caught a cold, right? Why were you even getting wet in the rain unnecessarily?"

She bit her lips again because of nervousness and mumbled, "I like the rain very much, that's why."

Arjun was deeply looking at her, due to which she started feeling awkward.

"Sir, the file regarding Mr. Malhotra which you asked me to bring."

Siya spoke to divert his attention.

"Thanks, Siya! Umm woo, I think you should change your clothes." He said while avoiding eye contact.

"What"

She looked at him with confusion.

"Siya I told you to go and change your clothes."

He looked away and scratched his neck.

Suddenly, it clicked in her mind what he was trying to say. She was wearing a white shirt and black trousers.

"Oh God! Why? Just why! Do anything, but make me disappear from here right now. Please, God!"

She was screaming in her mind, completely embarrassed.

Her white shirt had gotten drenched in the rain, making it transparent so, her skin and black bra were visible to him.

Mr. Rathore had seen her like this. He saw her in a bra. Could she ever feel more embarrassed in her life?

What must he be thinking about her? He might think she did this on purpose to seduce him.

No, no, no! She had to explain herself before he got the wrong idea about her.

These chaotic thoughts were running through her mind when he turned and walked into another room.

Two minutes later, he returned with something in his hand.

"Siya, take this shirt and change your clothes."

His unexpected action surprised her.

"Siya?"

She snapped out of her thoughts and took the shirt from his hand.

"Where should I change, sir?"

"You can use my room. I live alone here, so the water supply to the other rooms is currently shut off." He tells her.

"Thank you, Mr. Rathore!"

She said and quickly ran toward his room to change.

Once inside, Siya went to the bathroom, took a refreshing shower, and even washed her hair, which had gotten dirty in the rain.

She emerged wearing his black shirt and boxers. It felt a bit awkward to wear his clothes, but the shirt was oversized and covered her properly, so she felt okay.

When she stepped out, the delicious aroma of food caught her attention.

She saw Arjun setting food on the dining table. To draw his attention, she coughed softly.

He turned to look at her, his gaze lingering deeply, making her feel uneasy.

She was about to say something to break the awkwardness but stopped when he spoke.

"Why, Siya? Why?"

Arjun slowly stepped closer to her.

Her face turned red with embarrassment. Panic set in as she began stepping back. She kept retreating until her back hit the wall, and he came dangerously close.

"What, Sir?" she asked, lowering her eyes.

He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. She pressed her hands against his chest, trying to push him away, but Arjun tightened his grip, pulling her even closer to him.

The spicy scent of his expensive cologne filled her senses, and butterflies fluttered wildly in her stomach.

"You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen," he whispered in a husky voice, his breath warm against her ear.

He placed a soft kiss there, sending shivers through her body. Goosebumps covered her skin, and her heart raced uncontrollably. She couldn’t tell if this was real or just her imagination.

She felt his breath on her face, her legs turned weak like jelly. If Arjun hadn’t been holding her, she might have collapsed till now.

His lips brushed against her skin, and despite herself, she leaned into him, surrendering to the moment.

He kissed along her jawline, making her head tilt back unintentionally.

She knew this was wrong. She should stop him. But it felt as if he had cast some kind of spell on her, and she couldn’t control her senses.

His lips trailed toward her neck, and she unconsciously tilted her head, giving him more access.

He planted rough kisses on her neck, sucking gently.

She bit her lip, trying to suppress a moan.

After marking her neck with kisses, he paused and rested his forehead against hers.

Both of them were breathing heavily. She felt overwhelmed and deeply embarrassed for losing control.

She closed her eyes, unable to meet his gaze.

"Siya, please open your eyes and look at me."

His voice was soft, almost pleading.

She shook her head in refusal.

"Please, Siya. Just look at me once." He pleads.

Hesitantly, she opened her eyes.

Her heart began racing even faster when he cupped her face and looked into it with love and care.

Their faces were inches apart, their breaths were mingling in the small space between them. The gentle brush of their noses sent shivers down her spine.

She felt as though a storm of emotions was raging in her chest.

"Siya, isn't it time we both stop running away from our feelings now?" Arjun asked, his voice calm yet filled with emotion.

Siya froze as soon as those words left his mouth. Her heart seemed to stop for a moment.

"Does he know? How could he possibly know about my feelings? I never told anyone." She wondered, panic filling her thoughts.

"I know what you feel for me, Siya," Arjun said gently, his eyes locked onto hers.

"No, sir, you don’t know anything!" Her thoughts screamed in denial.

"Believe me, I feel the same way about you," he continued.

Siya's eyes widened in shock, unable to believe what she was hearing.

"Siya, I understand that all of this is unfamiliar to you," Arjun admitted, his voice soft yet sincere. "Trust me, it's just as new to me! You hold a special place in my heart. Everything about you is making me crazy for you."

Joy bubbled up inside Siya as his words sank in. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Arjun took a step closer, his tone filled with emotion.

"I can tell how you feel by the way you act around me. You stammer when you talk to me, your eyes drop, and you blush when I come closer to you. I can hear your heart race when I'm with you, and your silly mistakes. All these things about you make me fall for you."

His words overwhelmed Siya. She couldn’t think clearly, her mind a blur of emotions.

Their faces were close now, their lips were almost brushing. She could feel his warm breath on her lips, and her heart was even racing wildly.

"Siya, please don't stay silent," Arjun urged, his voice pleading. "Speak up. Do you feel the same as I feel about you? Do you have feelings for me?"

Siya couldn’t hold back any longer. Her emotions took over, and before she realized it, she kissed him. It was her way of expressing everything she had been holding back for so long.

Arjun didn’t respond, leaving Siya uncertain. She pulled back immediately feeling embarrassed, but in the next moment, he grabbed her and kissed her roughly, as now he couldn’t hold himself back anymore.

Siya placed her hands on his face, returning the kiss with the same passion. The kiss was intense, filled with longing and unspoken emotions. They kissed as if they had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

After what felt like an eternity, they finally pulled apart, breathing heavily.

Arjun looked into her eyes, his gaze was tender and full of love. He gently touched her face, as if she were the most precious thing in his world.

"I love you, Siya," he said softly, his voice trembling with emotion.

Siya felt her world spin. His confession overwhelmed her. She had suspected that Arjun liked her, but hearing him say he loved her shook her to the core.

"He loves me!" she thought, still in disbelief.

But even as the joy filled her heart, doubts lingered. Could he love her as deeply as she loved him?

"Siya, why are you so quiet?" Arjun asked, concern evident in his voice. "Your silence is worrying me. It feels like you don’t love me."

"No, actually, umm..." Siya stammered, unsure of how to respond.

Arjun grabbed her shoulders, his impatience surfacing.

"Tell me clearly, Siya. Do you love me or not?"

His tone was firm, almost demanding.

Finally, Siya gathered the courage to speak.

"Yes, I do. I love you too. I love you very much," she said, her voice trembling but honest.

Hearing this wave of relief and satisfaction washed over him.

Today was a turning pointβ€”a special moment when they both opened their hearts and shared their true feelings. But the question is are they true?
