Selene's POV
It had been a few days since we found out that Dragon Hunters were still active, Heather and Dagur are working with the Dragon Hunters and I have a sister. Fishlegs had discovered the proper recipe for Gronckle Iron and got Gobber over here to Dragon's Edge. I was watching it from the side, my leg was still healing. "Are you sure you've got the recipe right?" Gobber questions Fishlegs. "Of course I'm sure," Fishlegs assured him. "Three part limestone..." Snotlout and Hookfang came barreling in and fired at the Gronckle Iron dummy, didn't make a dent. Toothless fired a plasma blast and still did nothing. "Two parts sandstone," Fishlegs added. The dummy landed in front of Ruff, Barf and Belch. "One part iron ore," Fishlegs continued the recipe as the Zippleback began playing tug of war with the dummy, and Ruffnut joining in. "And now, the secret ingredient," Fishlegs started, then Meatlug spewed out some lava. "Gronckle Lava is the key component," I told the blacksmith. "Gronckle Lava, of course!" Gobber cheered. I then heard a put and turned to see Sandstorm next to me. "Missing Lillian, huh?" I asked the Desert Wraith. "Yeah. Don't get me wrong, I love staying with you, and the others, but I miss my friend," Sanstorm cooed sadly. I just smiled at her and patted her head. I saw Barf and Belch were now stomping on the dummy, Ruff was holding her jaw, probably sore from hanging onto the metal. "Ok. Let's see how you're Gronckle Iron does against a close up spine shot attack," Astrid spoke as she and Stormfly entered the arena. "Be our guest," Fishlegs told the girl. (Be our guest! Put our service to the test! Sorry, couldn't help it😂). Stormfly readied her spines, but then we saw a disheveled Tuffnut enter the arena, holding his arm. "Wait!" I shouted, but Stormfly already fired. It missed Tuffnut, barely, and managed to hit the statue. "Thank Loki!" Tuff cried out as he turned to us. "You guys aren't going to believe the night I had." Tuff was cut off when the statue fell on him. "We'll talk later," Tuff told us as he became unconscious. We all walked over to him and hauled him to the clubhouse, and he woke up there.

"There I was, me and my inner nut," Tuff told us as I gave him some water, still being careful with my leg. "Tuff, what happened out there?" Hiccup questioned the boy as he pulled me onto his lap. I gasped at first, but melted into my lover's embrace. "It was dark. So dark, Hiccup, not even the moon to lighten my merry way," Tuff told us as he put a hand on Hiccup's shoulder. Astrid and I just gave each other a skeptical look. Crystal then walked closer to us. "You buying this?" She asked and I just shrugged my shoulders. "And then all of a sudden, out of the darkness, red eyes, ferocious teeth, and a growl that could peel the beak off a chicken!" That last one got Chicken pretty good. She looked like she was gonna piss herself. Tuff apologized to his pet, but that didn't seem to ease the bird's nerves whatsoever. Tuff then grabbed Chicken, "it grabbed me and tossed me around like a rag doll, a very handsome rag doll. And then, it left me for dead." Tuff proceeded to put Chicken back down. Fishlegs then asked the boy if he could tell us anything else about his attacker and he responded by telling us it was too quick for him to get a halfway decent look at it. "Sounds imaginary to me," Snotlout commented and we just chuckled. Tuffnut was known fore being over-dramatic. "Laugh and guffaw, if you must. But would an imaginary beast give you one of these?" Tuff asked as he revealed a bite mark of some kind. Fishlegs then grabbed the Dragon Eye and Bork's notes to see if he could figure out what type of dragon attacked Tuff. I then attempted to stand up, and Hiccup braced me. "You ok?" He asked me. I just smiled at him. "I'll be fine. I just want to lie down for a bit," I admit, I'm sleepy after the Dragon Hunter fiasco round one. Crystal brushed by Astrid and gestured for me to climb on her back. "Let's get you back to the hut to rest," she commented. I smiled and Hiccup helped me get on her. "Get some rest, love. I love you, Selene. So much," Hiccup spoke tenderly to me. I smiled at him with love, "I love you too." Crystal then took off for our hut. After arriving, we saw Sandstorm there. "So anything on what attacked the skinny blonde boy?" She asked and we shook our heads. "No, but I'm sleepy so we came back," I informed the dragon and we all fell asleep after I made it to my bed.

Few hours later, I was shaken awake. Once my eyes focused, I saw it was Hiccup. "What is it?" I asked him and he told me about Gobber's conspiracy theory that Tuffnut was bitten by a Lycanwing dragon. "What is a Lycanwing dragon?" I asked him and he told me that it was basically a human-dragon hybrid. "Of course Gobber would think that," I sighed and Hiccup agreed with me. "Anyway, Gobber is gonna tell us a story about a kid that 'turned' into a Lycanwing. You ladies interesting in hearing it?" Hiccup asked, including Crystal and Sanstorm. "Why not," I told him and moved my legs over to the side of the bed. We walked to the dome and saw the others had set up a campfire. Once we got there, Hiccup sat on the ground, and I sat in his lap. He looked at me and smiled then wrapped his arm around me. "His name was Kessler!" Gobber started out the story, carrying a torch. "That's a weird name," Snotlout commented. "Like yours is any better," Sandstorm retorted and Crystal laughed with her. "Weird kid. Bright res hair, eyes as black as night. And naughty as a Nadder in a chicken coop," Gobber continued. "That's seriously naughty. Am I right? High three," Tuff told Chicken while holding up three fingers, but she did not respond. "Never mind," Tuff spoke with sadness. Hiccup and I just looked at each other and sighed. "One night, little Kessler, against his parents' wishes went exploring in the forest. Days went by, no sign of him." Fishlegs whimpered as Gobber continued the story. And it didn't help when Gobber approached the boy, "only a far away scream coming from the woods," Gobber turned around, "the little bugger never returned." Then jumped back so he was facing us, and screamed which caused all of us to yelp, some more than others. "Or did he? Every year from then on, when little Kessler's birthday rolled around, a red black-eyed dragon would fly over his parents' house, and pluck on of their sheep right out of the paddock! The dragon would look back, taunting them," Gobber finished the story, then told Tuff that he was since he wasn't displaying any symptoms. Snotlout being Snotlout, then decided to increase Tuffnut's paranoia of the situation and asked Gobber to list some of the symptoms. "I don't think that's such a good idea, Snotlout," Ruff told the boy, trying to protect her brother. "First off, you'd be lookin' at sensitivity to light," Gobber stated. Snotlout then asked Tuffnut if his eyes hurt when he looked at the sun, and he responded with a yes. I just groaned. "Well duh!" Crystal roared out and Sandstorm agreed with her. "Unquenchable thirst," Gobber added. Tuff then started licking his fingers and I knew that paranoia was starting to really get him. And I mean badly. "You look thirsty," Snotlout taunted Tuff. "He always looks thirsty!" Ruff protested. "What else, Gobber? There's gotta be more than that," Snotlout asked the blacksmith. Gobber scratched his chin, then thought of something, "fidgety arms, on account of the wings starting to sprout." Tuff's arms then started to fidget, which resulted in them hitting Ruff in the face and her falling off the bench. "Watch it will ya?!" She scorned her twin. "Gee, sorry, I'm fidgety," Tuff told her. Snotlout laughed and asked what else again! "Finally, the overwhelming desire to eat fresh fish," Gobber finished. Tuffnut ran over to the feeding station where Barf and Belch were and began consuming tons of fish before running away. "What is wrong with him this time?" Belch asked as both heads looked to where one of their riders ran off to.

Snotlout just laughed as Ruffnt looked like she was gonna murder the boy. "How awesome is that? What an idiot," Snotlout chortled. "You have no idea what you've done!" Ruff scolded the boy. We then all went up the clubhouse to eat when Tuffnut came in with a wheel barrel filled with his belongings. "Tuff, what's going on?" Hiccup and I asked in unison. The boy just sighed and wheeled the barely over to Snotlout. He gave the boy Macey!! I mean, that's is his favorite mace!!!! Snotlout pretended that he was going to cherish it, and as soon as Tuff moved on, Snotlout threw Macey aside. "I'll get it," Crystal told me and got up and walked over to the mace. "Fishlegs, I give you my favorite bowl," Tuffnut told the boy as he grabbed what I remembered as Fishlegs' bowl. "Hey! That's my bowl!" Fishlegs protested. Tuff just told the boy he'd found it as he moved over to me. "Selene, I trust that you'll take care of Chicken," Tuffnut told me as he placed his pet in my lap. I mean, it makes sense. I'm the only one in the group that Chicken listens to other than Tuff. Tuffnut then handed off Ruffnut to Hiccup and I just sighed. "Tuff, you're not turning into a Lycanwing! They don't even exist," I told the boy. "Selene, have you seen that moon? When it rises to it's apex, which I think is a word that means the tip-top, I'm going full dragon. Tuffnut-Lycanwing," Tuff spoke. Snotlout started laughing, but Tuffnut got right in the boy's face. "You're a funny guy, Snotlout. I'll eat you first," Tuff told the boy. I just sighed as Chicken hopped off my lap. Hiccup patted my shoulder, and stood up and walked over to Tuffnut. "Tuff, we've been over this. The Lycanwing is a myth. It's not real. You're not turning into a dragon. Fishlegs, Selene, will you two please tell him?" My lover asked us. Fishlegs started to whimper a bit, probably still freaked out by Gobber's story. I just sighed as Crystal walked back over to me with Macey in her mouth. "Tuffnut, I've never heard of a Lycanwing dragon. And if Thunderstream had seen one, she would've told me about it," I told the boy. "No kidding," Crystal gurgled. "Now, I must go and saw my most difficult goodbye of all," Tuff told us as he walked out of the clubhouse. Toothless just looked back at us after he watched Tuff walk away. "He's lost it," Toothless spoke as he walked over to Crystal. "He has," I whispered to the Night Fury. Snotlout just broke out in laughter again and I was so close to strangling him, but Ruffnut beat me to it. She walked over to the boy and started screaming at him, "what did I tell you!? You are gonna help me fix this, Snotlout. You hear me!?" And, she walked away afterwards. "Wow. They can really get riled up, huh?" Snotlout asked us and I just growled at him. "I got it," I heard a irritated voice. I turned around and saw Sandstorm walk in. She walked over so she was in front of Snotlout. Snotlout's smirk dropped once Sandstorm rose up on her hind legs. She then lout out a massive roar, right in Snotlout's face. "Aaahhh!" Then, Snotlout fainted.

"You're awesome," Astrid spoke to Sandstorm after the dragon fell back on her feet. "Thank you. That was satisfying," Sandstorm spoke. Astrid looked over at me and I gave her a thumbs-up. Barf and Belch then came flying in and immediately walked to me. "Tuffnut locked himself and the chicken in a pen," the Zippleback informed me. "Just great," I spoke with sarcasm. "What is it?" Hiccup asked me as he walked over to me. "Tuff locked himself and Chicken in a pen apparently," I informed them. We found Gobber and told him about the situation and he told us that he'd try talking to the boy. After that, I headed back to my hut and was out like a light.

The next morning, I walked over to the pens and saw the others. "Any luck?" I asked them as I approached. "No. Gobber told us that Tuffnut only talked to Chicken," Astrid informed me. A roar rang out and we all turned to see... Ruffnut flying Hookfang? "Where's Snotlout?" I wondered aloud, and Gobber saw the boy. "He's behind her, teary eyes too." Hookfang then crash landed on the landing strip, which sent Ruff and Snotlout skidding off the saddle. "What a rough one," Ruff spoke as she stood up and dusted off her clothes. "You're never flying me again!!!" Hookfang roared at her, snorting steam at her, then walked away. Ruffnut just grabbed Snotlout and started dragging him behind her. "W-what are you two doing?" We could use you now," Hiccup informed them. "We've been gathering samples," Ruff told us. "Let me guess, dragon bites?" I asked the girl. She nodded her head and brought out Snotlout's arm. It was covered in dragon bites! "Yup! One of these has to match Tuff's and convince him that this whole Lycanwing deal is just one of his paranoid fantasies," Ruff informed us. I saw Snotlout's face and saw it twisting with pain. I then walked over and started to inspect all the bites. "Huh. Terrible Terror, Night Terror, Wild Deadly Nadder and Gronckles." I turned back and saw that my lover was impressed with my knowledge of dragon bites, then asked Ruff why Snotlout was the test subject. "Because love, he started this all by convincing Tuffnut that he's turning into a dragon," I smirked as I walked over to him and leaned against his shoulder. "That's fair, m'lady," Hiccup smiled and leaned his head on mine. "Not so funny now, huh?" Ruffnut asked Snotlout as she dragged him towards Tuff. "No, Ruffnut," Snotlout whimpered. Fishlegs and Meatlug came barreling in, saying that we still hav not examined the Dragon Eye lens that my parents left behind. "We need to see what's on it!" Hiccup cheered. "Wanna join us and see what your parents left behind?" He asked me. "Of course!" I cheered and ran to the clubhouse with Hiccup and Fishlegs behind me. But we got nowhere! Fishlegs tried so many combinations. Fishlegs started to walk away with frustration, when the moonlight hitting the Dragon Eye gave us something. "Wait! Let's try this. Toothless, Crystal, if you would please," I gestured for the Furies. "Fine. But I was enjoying a wonderful nap," Toothless grumbled as he stretched. Crystal just laughed and licked his head before the two walked over and gave a slow burn. The Dragon Eye then showed what looked like a man with dragon wings and a tail. "Now, am I crazy, or is that a man with dragon wings instead of arms?" Hiccup asked us. "You're not crazy," Fishlegs commented and grabbed the Dragon Eye. He started shifting the gears, and it showed another image. Similar to the one before, but more dragon-like. "Can you make out what this says?" I asked Fishlegs. "'No man shall tread on these shores, lest he become what he most feared." That must be Lycanwing Island," Fishlegs finished. "And that, is why we always listen to Gobber," Hiccup told us. "Guys, this Lycanwing, may not be a myth," Fishlegs spoke. "Well, that island isn't far from here. Hope you're ready for a flight," I smirked at Fishlegs. "Why do I get the feeling were going on a little Selene, Hiccup and Fishlegs recon mission," the boy whimpered. We walked to the stable to get Meatlug. "Okay, guys, if we do happen to run across a Lycanwing, we need to have a really good plan," Hiccup told us as we walked to Meatlug's pen. "I have one. Don't get bitten!" I screeched and both were in agreement. Once Fishlegs opened the pen, Meatlug leapt out and greeted Toothless and Crystal.

"Yup, that sounds good. Okay, Lycanwing Island, here we come," Hiccup spoke and we got on our dragons and flew towards the island. After flying for a bit, we found a cave. All the dragons landed and we climbed off. "Care to give us some light, guys?" I asked and Toothless and Crystal both shot a plasma blast into the cave. Wing flapping was heard and a herd of Night Terrors flew out of the cave in a frenzy. "Sorry about that!" I called out, but, they were long gone. "Let's go, guys. Don't worry, we'll be next to each other the whole time," Hiccup told us, trying to be reassuring as well. I smiled and took his hand in mine and squeezed it. The boy smiled back and returned the gesture. We all walked into the cave and as we went further in, there were markings and symbols. "'Beware the beast. Turn back before you become him. Your fate is sealed!" Do you hear that guys? Our fate is sealed!" Fishlegs freaked out. "Fishlegs, we're fine. They're just old cave drawings," I spoke aloud, but noticed something interesting along the left wall. "Wait," I spoke and walked over to it. It was my parents' symbol!! "What is it?" Hiccup asked me. "This! I-it's the same symbol my parents use! But, this carving is fading. That means, my ancestors must've been here!" I cheered, then heard growling. I looked and saw both Toothless and Crystal growling. When I followed their gaze, I saw a shadow of a dragon. "There it is!" Fishlegs panicked. I just sighed and walked towards it seeing a rock statue and the eyes were Dragon Eye lenses. "Check out the eyes," I spoke for the rest. "I'm not looking into that thing's eyes! Do you even know me!?" Fishlegs chastised. Hiccup walked over and saw what I was talking about. "Fishlegs! Would you just look?" Hiccup told the boy. I saw him remove his face from Meatlug's body and saw where we were. Hiccup and Fishlegs removed the lenses, but I saw something sticking out from some rocks. "What the?" I wondered aloud and walked over. "M'lady, what're you doing?" Hiccup asked me. I saw the foreign item was a chest. "Found something," I told him and opened it, seeing a piece of parchment. I grabbed it and unrolled it. The boys and dragons walked over and looked over my shoulder. "Ok, I've studied multiple languages, and I can't read this!" Fishlegs cried out. I rose a brow, confused. "Really? I can," I spoke. "What does it say then?" Hiccup asked me.

To our descendent,
If you're capable of reading this, you must come from the long Dracia bloodline. For so long, we've understood dragons or in their language, dragonese. We even grow some dragon-like appendages. Wings, tails and horns. We even created the Dragon Eye.It was meant to be an instrument to teach future generations about dragons, to understand and befriend them. Unfortunately, the humans called Dragon Hunters stole it. Please, protect the dragons.

I was just in awe of this, and so were the others. "Your bloodline speaks Dragonese, and you can grow dragon-like parts? That's amazing!" Hiccup cheered and hugged me tightly. Crystal and Toothless pushed their way past the boys and cuddled against me. "That must be the Lycanwing legend. The Dracia Bloodline!" Hiccup cheered, clearly excited I might grow wings and a tail"Ok, ok. Let's get back to the Edge and let Tuffnut know that he's not gonna turn into a dragon," I reminded them of the real reason we're here. We all flew back to the Edge and saw Gobber walking out of the stable. "Gobber, how's Tuff doing?" Hiccup asked the blacksmith as we got off our dragons. The man just chuckled and told us that Tuff and Chicken escaped last night, and how Tuff was talking about taking flight once he was a dragon. "And you didn't stop him because?" I asked the blacksmith and he told us that he was busy extracting sea snake venom from Snotlout. "We better tell Ruffnut then," Hiccup commented. Gobber added how she left too and dragged Snotlout with her. "We better find all of them then," I commented and we all climbed on our dragons. After a while of searching we found Tuff about to jump off a cliff, and Ruff pleading him not to. "Stop!!" I shouted as all the dragons landed. We rendezvoused with Astrid and Stormfly along the way here. "There is not change, Tuff. You're not turning into a dragon. Love, tell him!" Hiccup gestured for me to reveal what we discovered in the cave. "It's true. My ancestors created the Lycanwing legend to keep people away from these," I grabbed the lenses from my pocket. I felt Astrid's stare at me and turned to see her giving me the 'you have a lot of explaining to do' face. "No. No! I don't believe you. Look at me, I'm hideous. I'm terrifying!" Tuffnut denied. "Tuff, you're not hideous! Terrifying at times, yes. But hideous, no!" Astrid protested. It wasn't working and Tuff just gestured to the bite mark. We still didn't have an explanation for that. Tuff turned back and was about to jump off when, "wait!" We all turned to see a very shaken Snotlout dragging something in a white bag. "What in dragon's name happened to you?" I asked the boy. "And what's in the bag?" Hiccup followed me. "I caught what did this!" Snotlout shouted and showed us a similar bite mark to Tuff's. I heard growling from the bag and realized what it was. "It was a wolf, wasn't it?" I asked Snotlout and he nodded his head at me. "Yeah. You're not turning into a dragon, Tuff," Snotlout told the boy. "I'm not, I'm not!" Tuff cheered. "That's what we've been trying to tell you. Now, can you please get away from the cliff. Tuff nodded and right when he took a step, the rocks below him gave out. Luckily, Crystal shot forwards and grabbed the boy. She then pulled him up and Tuff was greeted with a hug by his sister. The rest of us walked over to the embracing twins. "I know what you're going to say. You realized how much you love me. You were scared you were gonna lose me and I better never do that ever again," Tuff told his sister. She just turned him around so they were facing each other. She just told him that he was an idiot and embraced him again. I then realized the growling ceased. I turned around and saw an empty bag. "Uh, the wolf's gone," I spoke and soon, the wold jumped out at us. Crystal got in front of us, and roared very loudly at the wolf. The wolf then ran off with it's tail between it's legs.
