Third PERSON POV

As evening descended, the entire household buzzed with preparations for the sangeet ceremony. The air was thick with excitement, but Yashi's mind was clouded with the events of the morning. No matter how much she tried, she couldn't shake off the lingering thoughts.

Sitting in front of the mirror, she stared at her reflection, lost in her thoughts. Suddenly, a hand rested on her shoulder, making her flinch.

Adarsh's concerned voice broke the silence. "What are you thinking, Yashi?"

She quickly forced a smile. "Aaa... nothing."

He wasn't convinced. His gaze hardened. "Tell me, Yashi. What happened?"

"Arey, bola naa kuch nahi!" she insisted, playfully pushing him. "Ab jao, jaldi tayar ho jao."

Adarsh was about to argue when his phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID and then back at Yashi, his look silently promising, We will talk about this later. Without another word, he walked out.

Yashi let out a sigh of relief and turned back to get ready.

Dressed elegantly, Yashi stepped out of her room, heading toward Vaishnavi's room. However, her steps halted abruptly when she saw a group of people she wished she had never encountered. As soon as they spotted her, their conversation stopped, and their expressions turned cold.

Sara's voice was laced with disdain. "Yashi... tum yaha kya kar rahi ho?"

Before Yashi could respond, Sakshi sneered. "Arey Sara, tumhe pata nahi kya? Yeh ladki har subah jagah ko ashubh karne pahunch jati hai."

Before another word could be uttered, a deep, commanding voice silenced them.

"Tum dono apni tameez aur sanskaar bhool gaye ho kya?" Viswanath's cold voice sent shivers through the room. "Agar iske aage tumne ek bhi lafz nikala toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga."

Sunita, standing a few steps away, whispered venomously, "Kuch galat toh nahi bola hai inhone, Bau ji... Yeh mere bete ki kaatil hai."

Viswanath's sharp glare cut through the tension. "Ekdam chup. Ab koi kuch nahi bolega. Sab apne-apne kamre mein jao!" His strict tone left no room for argument.

Nobody dared to defy Viswanath. One by one, they left, leaving Yashi standing before him. Lowering her gaze, she bent down to touch his feet in respect.

"Kush raho," he murmured in his usual cold tone.

As she straightened up, he turned to leave.

Yashi's voice trembled as she asked, "Aap bhi mujhe kaatil samajhte hain, Dadu?"

Viswanath, despite his cold demeanor, couldn't ignore the pain in his favorite grandchild's voice. His heart clenched, but his tone remained firm. "Nahi, Yashi... tum kaatil nahi ho."

Hearing those words, Yashi felt a lump rise in her throat. Tears welled in her eyes. Finally, someone believed her.

Just as Viswanath was about to walk away, a small, innocent voice interrupted them.

"Maa... aap yaha ho? Main aapko kabse dhoond rahi thi!" Aashvi came running towards Yashi, her little face lighting up. "Mumma, dekho na, mujhe yeh dupatta nahi lag raha!"

Viswanath froze mid-step. His gaze darted to the little girl and then back to Yashi, realization dawning upon him.

"Ma?" he whispered in shock.

Yashi looked at him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, and gave a small nod. His eyes widened.

Unaware of the tension, Aashvi pouted. "Mumma, help kar do na, please?"

Wiping away her tears, Yashi knelt and gently adjusted her daughter's dupatta. Once it was done, Aashvi beamed and planted a kiss on her mother's cheek.

"Thank you, Mumma! And Mumma, you're looking sooo beautiful!" she giggled.

Yashi chuckled. "Thank you, jaan."

Viswanath watched the mother-daughter duo, still processing what he had just learned. His Yashi, who had once been a child herself, was now a mother. And the little girl standing beside her-his great-grandchild-was the Ansh of Adarsh and Yashi.

Overcome with emotion, he stepped forward and placed a gentle hand on Aashvi's head.

The little girl tilted her head and asked innocently, "Aap kaun ho?"

Yashi quickly interjected with a smile. "Yeh tumhare da- I mean, doctor uncle ke grandfather hain." She bit her tongue playfully.

Aashvi's eyes sparkled. "Sachhi?" Then, folding her hands, she touched Viswanath's feet. "Myself Aashvi... Doctor Uncle ki favorite!" She giggled.

Viswanath's chest swelled with pride at Yashi's upbringing. He glanced at her, and for the first time in years, a rare smile graced his face.

Yashi was taken aback. Viswanath smiling? That was almost unheard of.

Lifting Aashvi into his arms, Viswanath said, "Aap se milke badi khushi hui, Aashvi."

"Mujhe bhi! Aap bahot acche ho! Aap mere friend banoge?" She held out her pinky.

Viswanath chuckled and intertwined his pinky with hers. "Bilkul banenge."

Aashvi cheered. "Mumma, look na! I got a friend! Yaay!"

Yashi smiled warmly at the exchange.

Viswanath then turned to her. "Yashi, main thodi der ke liye Aashvi ko apne saath le ja raha hoon."

Yashi nodded. "Bilkul, Dadu. Aapko puchne ki koi zarurat nahi hai."

With that, Viswanath walked away, carrying Aashvi in his arms, leaving Yashi with a newfound sense of relief. At least someone in this house loves my Aashvi.

As she made her way toward Vaishnavi's room, she noticed Shrish standing near Samriddhi's door, deep in thought. A smirk formed on her lips.

Leaning close, she whispered in his ear, "Yaha kya kar rahe ho?"

Shrish jumped slightly, startled. "Uss se baat kaise karun... yeh soch raha tha," he whispered back before realizing who was behind him. He turned abruptly.

Seeing Yashi's mischievous smirk, he placed a hand over his heart. "Aaaa!"

Yashi giggled. "Sssh... Usko bahar bulane ka kya plan hai aapka?"

"Tum mera peecha kar rahi ho?" he questioned.

"Kuch nahi, bas aapka haal-chal puchne aayi thi," she teased. "But dekh kar lag raha hai ki aapka haal behaal hai."

Shrish groaned. "Tumne meri saari baat sun li?"

She smirked. "Koi shak?"

"Shit," he muttered.

Yashi folded her arms. "Main help kar sakti hoon."

Shrish's eyes lit up. "Sachhi? Toh karo!"

Yashi grinned. "Par mujhe kya milega?"

"Kya chahiye?"

"Chocolate!" she said excitedly.

Shrish chuckled. "Aish... Theek hai, mil jayegi."

"Good! Ab bas dekhna, mera plan kaise kaam karta hai!" She winked and walked away.

Shrish sighed. "Yeh ladki karne kya wali hai?"

An hour later, everyone gathered downstairs for the sangeet. The air was filled with anticipation. Some people glared at Yashi, while others admired her beauty, completely mesmerized.

Riddhima and Manan took the mic.

"ARE YOU GUYS READY?!" they shouted.

"YESSS!" the crowd roared in response.

Riddhima grinned. "Toh kis baat ki hai wait?"

Manan smirked. "Toh chalo karein is function ka Shree Ganesh!"

As applause erupted, the lights dimmed, marking the beginning of the grand celebration.
