"I know where the Cup is." Said Clary as she turned around to face them, to which made Elara peer over towards her from her spot upon the couch, Magnus' legs were lazily flung across hers; a book in hand as he read.
"Come again?" Jace walked towards them as Magnus moved to sit up straight, his eyes staring at Clary.
"The tarot cards." Responded the Redhead, her eyes holding determination and proudness. "My mom, she must have painted the years ago, but the Mortal Cup has to be hidden inside the Ace of Cups." Clary began to pace back and forth while a soft sigh left her lips "The card looks exactly like it."
Magnus looked over at Jace, a knowing look gliting in his eyes which made Elara groan; There's definitely something wrong, isn't there.
"Wait, why aren't you guys happy about this?" Clary gave them all a panicked look. "All we have to do is find-" she paused for a second while she turned to look at Elara who only gave the girl a sad smile.
"Dot." Elara finished the girls sentence for her, bringing herself to stand as she walked over to the redhead, taking her hand into hers for comfort.
"If Dot had the cards when she was taken, we don't have much time." Said Jace, his eyes peering over towards both girls. "If Valentine gets his hands on the Cup-"
Jace was immediately cut off as Magnus stood up and held his hand up towards Jace, silencing him. "We know, if Valentine started creating Shadowhunters or gained control of demons." He hummed, beginning to slowly walk in circles around the girls, staring at Elara for the last part which made her internally shudder at the thought of Valentine using the Cup to control that small part of her." I'd be like Beyoncé riding a dinosaur through Time Square." He paused for a second as he walked in front of them "People would notice."
"But he can control Demons." Argued Clary as she soon felt the girl stiffen up beside her, which alone caused the Redhead to place her other hand onto the girls arm, rubbing it gently. "I've seen it."
"Mmm, paying off a few Demons is easy, especially singe they rarely survive long enough to collect." Elara sent the Warlock a glare at his words, but he merely sent her an apologetic smile. "Sorry." But he couldn't help the small giggle that left his lips after.
"Still waiting on Valentine's thank-you card." Said Jace, looking over towards Elara as she smirked and walked towards him, gratefully being welcomed into his arms.
"Opening the gates of Hell." Magnus looked over at Clary "That's a little more tricky."
"Valentine doesn't have the cards." Replied Luke as he walked into the room, bandages covering his chest and torso, but a smile still graced his face. "I do."
Elara, Clary, Magnus and Jace peered over at the man in shock, how did he even have the tarot cards, but it possibly couldn't be that east. "They're in my desk back at the precinct, when Clary went missing, I went to the loft and I cleared everything out, 'cause I didn't want the Circle to track her."
"Thats great, this should be easy." said Clary enthusiastically, a smile on her lips.
"Mmm, that's what General Custer said." Shurgged Magnus as he moved to sit down in the arm chair.
"Magnus is right." Luke nodded his head. "Valentine has spies everywhere, even in the NYPD." he sighed "We have to be discreet."
"Discreet?" Smirked Elara "You look like something out of the Mummy Movie." Magnus giggled from his spot in the chair at the girls word, causing Elara to look towards him winking slightly.
"We'll go in the morning." Replied Luke, ignoring what the brunette had said. "Werewolf healing, remember?" he looked towards Elara and Jace "There is nothing a couple hours of beauty sleep can't fix."
"Maybe you should add a few more hours onto that." Smirked Elara as she moved towards him, Luke chuckled as he pulled the girl into his embrace. Elara was sure to be gentle with her hug, she didn't want to hurt him. "I'm glad you're Okay, Luke." Whispered Elara as she felt the man lean down and kiss the top of her head.
"Me too, kiddo."

Jace held onto Elara's hand rightly as they both followed after Luke and Clary who were walking towards the Precinct. "All right, Cards are on my desk. It shouldn't take long." Said Luke as they stopped walking.
"All right." Replied Jace as he started to walk towards the doors but Luke immediately placed his hand out for him to stop.
"Woah, Woah, woah!" Exclaimed Luke, shaking his head. "It'll be easier to avoid unnecessary attention if I do this alone."
"Okay, we'll wait." Responded Elara in an airly tone, her eyes watching as Luke disappeared through the doors. Jace removed his hand from hers before gently placing it around her waist, rubbing it slightly.
"It sounded boring anyways."Muttered Jace, which caused Elara to chuckle.
"Sounds like someone's upset they didn't get to go inside."
"Shut up." Jace looked down towards her with a playful glare.
"When are ya'll gonna make it official?" teased the redhead, grinning slightly "Because if I'm going to feel like a third wheel, I'd rather do that properly, hanging out with an Official couple."
Elara and Jace peered towards her sheepishly. "We haven't spoken about that yet." The brunette felt her cheeks heating up.
"But we will!" Added Jace almost immediately.
Clary hummed before she grinned at them. "Good because I'm already Caption of the Ship Jara!"
"Jara?" Both Elara and Jace asked in unsion.
"It's a mashup of your names?" Clary looked at them in a deadpanned stare. Which resulted in the two standing in front of her to give her 'o' faces as they finally understood the reference. "You're both definitely perfect for one another I'll tell you that."
For what felt like an hour had passed before Clary spoke up again "I've got a bad feeling about this, what is taking him so long?"
"I know a way we could find out." Replied Jace, turning towards both girls who were leaning against a cop car. "Just go in and see for ourselves."
"Luke told us to stay put, so that's what we're gonna do." The redhead replied.
"We're not dogs, Clare, we have free will to do as we please." Elara agreed with Jace, sending the redhead a smirk.
Clary sighed before Elara's phone began to ring. "That might be him right now." she gestured towards the brunettes phone.
"I doubt it." Replied Jace while Elara peered down at the Caller ID, worry began to seep through her as she spoke up. "I need to take this, I'll be right back."
Jace tried to stop the girl but she merely moved past him, the girl did turn her head slightly to see both him and Clary waking into the station without her. "Okay, don't wait up." she muttered to herself.
Elara pressed the answer button as she placed the phone up to her ear "Hey, what's up, Si?"
"Lara, I need to see you." Simon's voice broke through the phone, his voice sounding weak. "Can you meet me at the Java Jones truck near to the park we always go to?"
Elara hesitated slightly but soon answered "I'm on my way." she ended the call and scrolled through her contacts, going to message Clary but soon decided against it; well, they didn't tell me they were going in while they left me out here.
After the twenty minute walk to the park, the girl finally caught gaze of her brother sitting at a table next to the truck. The moment he spotted her he stood up as she ran towards him, bringing him into her embrace to which he eagerly returned.
"I'm so happy you're here." Muttered Simon into her hair "I need to tell you something."
Both Elara and Simon sat down as he began to tell her about how he thought he was becoming a vampire, telling her about his side effects and what was happening to him.
Elara's heart broke as he told her about what he was going through, but she was even more shocked when he told her about Maureen.
"You're not a virgin anymore?" Questioned Elara, her eyes wide in shock.
"I tell you about me possibly becoming a vampire and that's the only thing you pick up on?"
"I'm just surprised." The girl leaned forwards to grasp his hands into hers. "I'll help you create a 'I am becoming a vampire list.' " The girl removed her hands as she reached over and took a napkin into her hand and pulled a pen out from within Simon's bag.
I AM BECOMING A VAMPIRE
-Thirst for blood!
-Sensitivity to height
-Hallucinations
-Voices in my head
After the boy finshed telling his sister about his symptoms. She placed the pen down and looked over the words upon the napkin "What exactly happened that day when we got taken by Raphael, what did you and Camille do?"
"Nothing." Stammered Simon, shaking his head. The woman came out of the truck and walked towards them, she held the French press in her hands as she looked down at the list.
Elara quickly chuckled and smiled "I'm sorry, this for a book in starting to write about vampires."
The woman only smiled again as she placed the French press and the cups down in front of them "French press" she smiled, before placing the plate she was holding onto the table "A garlic bagel, extra garlic."
Elara smiled at the woman who smiled back before asking "Where's what's-her-face? Latte-and-no-whip-cream girl?"
"Clary" Responded Elara "She's out with some friends she met recently." she merely shrugged it off. The woman nodded her head before she walked away from them.
"Are you okay?" asked Elara the moment she saw how fidgety her brother had become.
"Yeah, I just need some caffeine." he merely responded as he pushed the press down of the coffee, he then poured the coffee into both cups and handed one to his sister.
"You better not die on me if you eat that garlic."
"Wait" Simon looked up at her "You actually believe me?"
"Simon." She chuckled, grabbing onto his hand. "I'm a Shadowhunter, anything can be possible right now, so yes, I believe you."
"You don't know how good that feels to hear you say that." Smiled Simon before he picked up the garlic Bread from the plate and quickly took a bite from it.
Elara sipped on her coffee while watching him, nothing seemed to be happening as he reached over and picked up another napkin before writing.
I'M NOT BECOMING A VAMPIRE
-Love of garlic
Elara chuckled as he continued to eat the Garlic bread, a loud sigh of relief leaving his lips before he smiled towards his sister. He took a sip of his coffee berore he pulled back and gasped loudly while picking up a napkin and wiping at the corner of his mouth. That caused Elara to feel confused.
Was he hallucinating? Simon was now staring at the French Press in fear. "Can you see the blood?" his voice shaky as he pointed towards it.
"No." Muttered Elara as she reached over and grasped onto his hand before she gasped herself, her eyes glued onto the French press with blood seeping out of it. "I can see it now." whispered the girl, was she now hallucinating too? Or was it because she was holding into his hand, was it possibly one of her abilities?
Elara pulled her hand away as Simon had tears in his eyes "Can I call Clary?" he asked in a small voice "I want the two of you with me right now."
Elara nodded her head as he stood up to ring the redhead, but she stayed sitting as Simon's hallucination kept running through her mind, the once bloodied French press was now back to normal with the mouthwatering coffee within it.
Elara soon placed a smile onto her lips the second the woman walked back over and cleaned up the table, the brunette handed the woman her empty cup who took and gently peered over at Simon who was on the phone. "Are you sure your brother's alright?"
"Of course he is." Nodded Elara "He's just tired, he's been on this new game all night, can't stop playing it I guess." she chuckled awkwardly as the woman nodded her head with a slight smile before she walked away, allowing Elara to let out a sigh of relief as she stood up and grasped her jacket and placed it on
Simon groaned as Clary hung up on him, he turned around and saw his sister standing there with her arms crossed. "She hung up on me before I could tell her you were here and that I wanted her with us."
"It's fine, Si." Smiled Elara "I'll stay with you." Simon relaxed again as he nodded his head, the girl grabbed onto his hand as they started to take a stroll towards their home. "Simon did Camille give you anything to drink that night?"
"Yes." Muttered Simon "Something called a Bloody Mary, I think." That alone made Elara groan as she shook her head.
"Si, that probably had her blood in it, and by the looks of it, she probably bit you too."
"I can't remember much." Confessed Simon "It's blurry, like I only remember parts, like taking the drink from her, making out with her."
"Wait" The girl gasped "You made out with Camille, Oh my Angel, you made out with the Vampire who got us kidnapped in the first place and threw me into a wall, and no, I will never let her live that down."
"Yeah" He grimiced "I felt like I was in some trance, like everything she did was perfect and I wanted to tell her everything."
"So she used her vampire-Mojo on you?" Questioned Elara as Simon unlocked the front door of their home, the both of them immediately ran towards his room before she jumped onto his bed and sighed. Simon went to his computer and began to research medical conditions.
Someone knocked on the door as it opened, Elaine stood there. "Elara, you're home." she smiled while the girl only nodded her head and pulled a pillow onto her lap. Elaine looked away from her daughter and towards Simon "Simon. Can we talk?"
"We?" Asked Simon, confused.
"You, me and your two sisters." Replied Elaine as she walked into the room, Rebecca following close behind which made Elara squeal slightly as she threw herself off the bed and towards her sister and embraced her.
Rebecca laughed and hugged her sister back." I've missed you, lil sis."
"And I've missed you, becks" Elara grinned as they pulled away from one another.
"Do i have a choice?" Questioned Simon as he looked between the three of them.
"We'll I've already ducked our if the office early, so.." Elaine dragged out the 'So' while she crossed her arms. "No."
"Okay" Sighed Simon as he nodded his head and looked towards the floor. "I stayed out last night at Maureen's, I should have called, it slipped my mind." He paused before looking back up at them "So, what are you gonna do? Ground me?"
"Maureen called us this morning." Elaine gestured to her and Rebecca "and she was very upset." Elara chuckled slightly which resulted in a warning glare being sent her way by Elaine which made the girl want to laugh even more.
Rebecca sighed "Actually, Maureen called me and she said you were spazzing out, like, more than normal."
Elara snickered slightly as she moved her hand up towards her mouth, she nearly forgot how much she loved his family.
"She said." Simon began with a frown "She did what?"
"Well, I just tried to say that's kind of how you are with girls, but, uh, she was very upset, so I told mom." repeated Rebecca slowly as she sent Elara a warning glare as she noticed the girl holding back her laughter.
"You did what!" Exclaimed Simon, looking at Rebecca in disbelief.
"Simon, Maureen thinks that." Elaine paused for a few seconds as she sighed "She thinks you might be on drugs."
Elara burst out laughing, not being able to contain herself. "Elara Rose Lewis!" Elaine shouted loudly "Go to your room so we can speak to Simon without you laughing every two seconds!"
Elara quickly placed her hands up in surrender "Yes ma'am" she smirked and looked over towards Simon, sending him a warm smile before she walked out of the room and towards her own.
It was weird stepping foot back into her old room, it was cold and looked untouched. The bed was perfectly made as the room looked remarkably spotless, except for the sketchpad that lazily lay upon her window seat, half hanging off.
Elara walked over and sat down, seeing that it was still open onto the flower she had been drawing that day when She and Simon had ran to rescue Clary. To a time back when she was still a mundane, the time she felt normal and the only problems she had was taking her anti- depression and memories of the accident.
But now the girl was both a Shadowhunter and a Downworlder with powers to see peoples memories by touching their pictures, but also by touching that person could send her into a memory or with Simon she could see his Hallucinations. If she closed her eyes right now, she could even possibly see what Clary was doing, even Jace.
A loud yell came from within Simon's room making Elara jump up and rush towards them, she skidded slightly as she reached his doorway and gasped. The desk which used to be standing on all fours was now split in half and Elara knew it was Simon who did it merely by the look upon his face.
Rebecca and Elaine looked shucked and scared, and the girl hated to admit it but she was slightly terrified, not because of what the boy did, but because of what was happening to him.

The walk back to the Institute was pure torture for the girl, especially since she was wearing heeled boots. She had told her mom she was going to be moving in with some friends, something about them needing a roommate. Luckily Elaine was happy for her, something about her finally being 'Independent'.
Elara of course denied having her old things moved to her new Home, she couldn't tell her mother about the Institute nor the Shadow World, so of course she shot her down on that one, only grabbing a few pictures and her sketchbook to bring with her. Especially since Isabelle had already been shopping for a whole new wardrobe for the brunette, mostly consiting of old clothes the Raven haired girl no longer wanted and new ones.
The Shadowhunter soon walked up the steps of the Institute, pushing open the doors. She definitely wasn't expecting the whole of the Institute to be in full panic mode, rushing around and Jace yelling like a madman.
Clary was standing on the steps besides Isabelle and Alec, her own face laced with worry as she stared down at Jace. Elara heard them speaking her name as she inched closer to them; Did they think I was missing? And they tried to call me?
The girl internally groaned, she definitely should've told the redhead where she was going, but no, she had to be petty and just leave them. Elara sighed as she reached into her pocket to retrieve her phone and indeed it was dead, of course they'd think she was missing.
"Elara!" Yelled clary as the girl walked into the room, a sheepish look oh her face, but of course Elara couldn't even say anything bedore the redhead had rushed down and pulled her into a bone crushing hug, knocking them both to the floor. "Where the hell have you been?" she soon scolded as she stood up, pulling Elara up with her. "Jace has been worried sick!"
"I'm sorry" Sighed Elara, her eyes casting down bedore she felt another set of arms wrapping around her, holding her close. She knew it was Jace, her Jace.
"Where were you? Clary and I thought you would be outside when we came back out of the Precinct" Muttered the boy, burrying his head into the girls neck.
"I was with Simon" Whispered Elara, her arms tightening around him, soon realising the whole panic was indeed for her. "He needed me, I'm sorry I didn't tell you where I was going."
Jace pulled back, keeping his face level with hers. "Next time you decide to leave, please tell one of us, okay? I was about to send a search party out for you, Valentine could have taken you and we wouldn't have known, you couldn't have been in serious danger." his eyes began to tear up slightly, causing the brunettes heart to break at the mere sight. She really didn't understand she had caused this much pain, and that broke her.
"When clary and I were looking for you, we thought we found you but I knew something was off when you asked for the Cup, Clary also noticed as she soon stabbed you." He pressed his hand against the girls cheek "For a split second the shapshifter looked they were in pain, you stared at me in fear. For a split second we actually thought we hurt you, that was before it turned back into it's true self."
"Jace" Elara whispered, a small smile appearing onto her lips "I'm sorry for leaving, I just wanted to be there for my brother."
Jace didn't say anything more as he gently pressed his lips against hers, not caring that the whole Institute was watching them.
"Why aren't they official yet?" Whispered Clary, her eyes glancing over at Isabelle who giggled and placed her arm around her shoulder.
"Because they're both too stubborn to ask first." Was all Isabelle responded with.
"Wanna place a bet?"
"Alec!"

Another chapter doneeeeee, and yes if you're re reading this book I've probably changed quite a few things, like with Clary being obsessed with Elara and Jace needing to be official, while in my original book she was jealous af.
Also Alec still doesn't quite understand his feelings for Jace, but he supports Elara and Jace hence him asking for a bet on them becoming official (MY new fav part)
I know a lot may have wanted to see her in the Precinct, but honestly we needed some sibling bonding time and if Simon needs her she's there.
Anywhore lovelies FEEDBACK, GIMMIE GIMMIE. also any errors please tell me so I can correct them, I write these at night and sometimes I'm tired as hell.
