Jayhoon au where jay and sunghoon are boyfriends from alley gangs , sunghoon having to betray Jay and trick him while he blows the headquarter of the gang, he was forced to do so or they'd target Jay specifically, and he wouldn't let that happen
He planned it all thoughtfully, placing the bombs whenever Jay pulled him inside the headquarter to enjoy some private time , clearing the areas around it and making sure police wouldn't move . He even made sure Jay was so hungover to go to work, it was all well planned, well studied , where he keeps his beloved's life , and wins his boss's trust . A perfect plan, only if Jay was home when he knocked on his door , only if Jay opened that door , and only if his name wasn't on the list of people who died in the explosion, body so distorted he couldn't recognize anything but his ring, their promise ring
A ring Jay had insisted on getting when they started dating, despite sunghoon's rejection, he still got a pair and made him wear it forcefully. Jay wasn't necessarily the most romantic guy, but he for sure knew how to move a heart , a criminal's heart at least .
Sunghoon had never thought he'll fall for anyone , he prided himself to be the coldest person to exist , and he definitely didn't expect to fall for his mission partner , a shorter guy with sharper features , a very steady voice and hand , even when slaughtering people dead . He never expected his heart would beat for someone , definitely not for the flirty guy from another gang , whom he was forced to work with, smoothly and easily, he realized their style in work fit perfectly, and quickly enough, he realized they as a whole fit perfectly with eachother.
He remembered Jay pinning him to a wall after clicking the doors open , no words , just stares , while waiting for sunghoon to explain his attitude towards him after a nightstand they had .. Sunghoon didn't say anything, couldn't. His mind was still filled with memories from last night, and Jay's perfume tickling his nostrills didn't help at all . He smiled at the frown on the older's face , pulling him closer for a kiss
-"Don't play with me park sunghoon" he growled through the kiss
-"You're so fun to play with" he smiled at the vibration he felt through the growl
-"I'll kill you if you're tricking me " he was giving in the kiss , hands wrapping around sunghoon , willing to carry him
-"And I'll kill you if you break my heart" he pointed his gun to Jay's heart , getting a wide grin followed by a loud laugh
Sunghoon felt butterflies in his stomach
Sunghoon was given a mission , another one, being unable to leave behind his gang because "they're family" , bullshit. He hated their guts , and he waited patiently for the last mission he'll have
He was finally offer it , his last mission , A very simple one at that , delivering money and getting back with whatever bag they gave him , he wasn't allowed to open it , no matter how long he worked with them , nor what it had in it . He had to comply and obey . And so he did
Getting off the car and escorted by a slightly larger crowd , he knew this wasn't a simple operation, regarding how he was surrounded by 13 men , and how they didn't even bother to scan him or check if he had any weapons on , not even taking the bag . He knew then , that he was the delivery
He felt a hard thing hit the back of his head , a warm liquid dripping from the back , he reached to the spot to have his hand covered in blood , right before he lost his consciousness
He woke up in a room , alone with a man , he wasn't tied , nor any or his limbs were missing , his wound was treated , roughly, just enough to stop the bleeding and prevent contamination, staying alive was his immune system's mission .
He looked around himself, confused , why's he not dead yet , and then he remembered the man , who was now walking towards him , his winter shoes stomping hardly on the ground, anouncinh his arrival.
Sunghoon looked up ,ready to be greeted by a thirsty look or a hateful one . His eyes locked with the standing man , heart warming up and smile uncontrollably forming on his lips .. his eyes lightened with Joy
Jay was alive .
He looked at his eyes happily , guilty washing away with every blink the older had , he was happy to see him again , releived he was alive . Sunghoon's happiness didn't last long , his smile faded and the light in his eyes quickly dimmed , Jay's eyes ... Weren't sparkling
Jay used to look at him with so much adoration, never once did he have anything but love and the softest gaze in his eyes , not even after finishing a mission , not after dropping a dead body off a bridge , not even after a heated fight that got them kicking the shit out of eachother , so maybe Jay's pupils shook a little whenever he looks at him , maybe they widened , maybe a spark of innocence projects on his eyes , and maybe , sunghoon just loved Jay's eyes so much he imagined they ever changed whenever looking at him .
Jay had never looked at him with anything but foundness , the look in Jay's eyes , was nothing like he remembers . His once sparkly round eyes , were just lifeless dull siren eyes , bored with his presence . Eyes that once tailed him wherever he moved , are now ignoring his whole presence and existance , finding whatever he was doing more interesting that what was once his favorite sight
-"You're alive" sunghoon struggling to voice out
Jay's silent while dragging sunghoon to tie him up
-"You never ignored me before , back when we were in love " he said bitterly , not fighting whatever jay was going
Hoon's heart breaks as he wtaches Jay leave him with an emotionless face. Tied to a chair in the middle of nowhere
-"You have a chance to survive, if you break free and run before half an hour , I'll pretend you're dead " Jay said while closing the doors of the garage "Take it as an act of kindness"
Sunghoon tried to escape and he does , just on time to be far enough from the explosion
Jay lied , he only had 10 minutes
He limbs away , happy that jay forgave him , he knows that if Jay wanted to , he'd kill him
Jay was .. scary, the scariest sunghoon have ever witnessed . The way he placed his forehead on the other , pulling him closer with his hand resting gently on the back of his head , as he hummed a children lullaby, french , the other shaking in his arms begging to stay alive, eyes tearing up filled with regret , his voice muffled by the gun stuck in his mouth
Jay opens his eyes and once they meet his once most beloved person , he pulls the trigger and stands up , face drenched in blood
-"I think we should get steaks tonight" he says casually, handing sunghoon the gun and walking away
Sunghoon got chills, the thought of being drenched in your beloved's blood, and thinking about eating meat , red meat , knowing jay .. juicy meat , sunghoon knew . Jay wasn't one to forgive
Sunghoon ran away , heart dancing with the knowledge his most appreciated person in life was alive , and that , maybe , there's a chance of them getting together.
He imagined himself not running away from certain death , but running home, to Jay, where he receives him with the warmest hugs , sit him down and talk about his day , his life , how hard it was for him to live with the guilt of causing him to die. Then Jay reaching to him , wiping his tears and kissing his nose , comforting him , he's alive , he's aware of what happened and he forgave him . Jay definitely knows that he had it all planed and secured that Jay was outside the building in the time of explosion, and he set all of this up to give sunghoon a cover story , to leave the life he was going to rot in . Sunghoon still had hope , with every step he took, maybe the hit on his head was too strong , because he saw up the hill a house , with jay standing next to it , hugging himself at how cold it is , gesturing to sunghoon to hurry up
And so he does , he hurries , running even harder through the snowy forrest, falling and getting up, getting closer to up the hill, house fading slowly , he runs faster , hoping he'd catch up to it before it all disapears , until He's met with Jay in the middle of the woods ,standing there with a Hunting rifle , waiting for something, for someone , sunghoon faces him , and the Jay who was waiting for him slowly fades , and now he's faced with a heartless , cold , and ready to kill Jay
"I forgave you as an old friend , never forgave you as a lover" jay spoke , pointing his rifle at him " run , save your life, you fox "
Words filled with hatered stabbed sunghoon's heart , while he ran clumsily, tears fogging his vision , making him stumbled upon rocks and thick snow , getting hurt by all the pointy branches he met while running away , helplessly , he knew he wasn't fast, and that Jay, was just playing with him ,enjoying watching him run for his life
And he definitely knew he was dead when Jay's footsteps stopped behind him , not bothering to follow anymore , a bullet going through his leg
He stopped running and kneeled on the ground , head so low and heart so broken
He felt Jay's hand reach to rise his head , so gently, his heart shivered , just to be met with criminal cold eyes , his face getting closer to sunghoon's while the later's eyes watered , breaking into sobs when their foreaheads met
"I trusted you , I loved you" . Sunghoon knew it was over
Jay walks back with his rifle on him , clothes stained with blood. He walks forward without looking back , while a tear streamed down his face, unable to look at the laying body behind him .

-"The man layed there in the cold , bleeding to death " the bartender told the couple about the cursed forest "Not the best story to be told on your honey moon is it " he laughed , moving away to serve a new costumer
He smiles at the guy in all black walking inside , greets him and starts working on his drink , pointing to the couple to look at him
He smiled when they got the hint, this guy was the cold hearted killer
The bartender limbed away , smile fading as he faced the bar with his back . Knowing Jay's eyes followed him around the bar , but will never approach him , never

He was still alive when Jay left him , sunghoon felt his heart hurt so bad he wishes Jay offed and freed him , he squeezed his eyes crying, not because of fear, nor because he was releived , not even happy tears because Jay had probably forgave him. He knew better
To Jay.. he's now dead
He layed back on the cold snow , that somehow felt warmer than Jay's stares , crying so loud and sobbing, wishing it'll make Jay come back for him , carry him between his arms and comfort him. But he didn't, jay didn't even flinch once while he made his way through the snowy path, leaving sunghoon behind him to bleed to death
It didn't kill him
But something inside of him died that day
