baby pink g wagon that she had recently gotten as a gift from jah because she had to leave her old pink jeep back in maryland
she parked in the driveway before getting out with the food and walking up the porch, she put the keycode in and let herself into cleo's house where she immediately greeted by cleo's fluffy cat divinchy
"vinchyy, hi baby" she cooed at the cat who just rubbed his head against her leg in response before walking away trying to get her to follow, to which she did as the cat lead her into the kitchen where she saw cleo, jah, jah's little brother aiden, little cousin leo, and his aunt chrissy
she looked up and waved slighty "hey y'all" she said awkwardly before walking over to the island where jah was sitting on his phone and placing the wingstop bag down next to him
even though she had been living there for about almost 2 months at this point and had been around his family multiple times before, she still always felt awkward around them. mainly around his mother cleo, who is practically the center of jah's universe
she was pulled out of her thoughts when jah kissed her cheek "finally yo ass brought the food" he said and she mugged him "ole greedy ass big back bitc-" she started before being cut off by the sound of jah sending a harsh slap to her ass
her eyes widened in shock as she hissed due to the stinging pain it left which caused leo to laugh "oh he got yo ass GOOD" leo pointed out still laughing and kat flipped him off "yea and i'm bout to beat yo ass if you keep laughing" she retorted and leo rolled his eyes "girl you ain't gon do shit, you like 5'2. you can't reach up here" he taunted which made everyone laugh
tana just mugged him as she sat down next to jah who was talking to his mom, he was talking to cleo about music stuff and a upcoming song he was about to release. as he was talking, she laid her head on his shoulder as she opened up the wingstop bag and took the food out
she had gotten a 8 piece atomic bone in combo with cajun fries and a sprite, she been craving wingstop all week so she was demolish it until she remembered she took her adder-all for her adhd this morning and she knew if she ate she would feel sick after
she groaned and cleo looked at her "you okay?" she asked and kat shook her head no which caused jah to also look over at her "what's wrong ma?" he asked concerned and she sighed
"bruh i took my adhd med's this morning so if i eat this sick imma feel so sick" she grumbled out frustrated at the fact that she just spent $20 on something she can't even eat, and that she can't eat something she had been craving all week
jah laughed slightly and kat punched his arm lightly "it's not funny!" she whined which made cleo and chrissy laugh too. "it's not but it is, anyways you could just eat it later. we have a air fryer" chrissy reminded her
"true but it ain't the same" kat stated sadly and jah laughed "you this sad over some food? that's crazy" he joked and she flipped him off "nigga you know i will literally cry over my food being fucked up, so yes all this over some food" she retorted and he just shook his head
"i can put this in the fridge for you" cleo suggested and tana nodded her head "please" she asked and cleo put her food back in the bag before putting it in the fridge for her as aiden and leo came over to her
"you tryna get yo ass whooped in mk11?" leo asked kat who scoffed "boy please, yo ass the one who finna get whooped. you know i got my mileena combos mastered" she stated proudly and leo put his hands up in defense "yea but i'm finna use kitana and whoop mileena ass" he jabbed and she laughed as she got up and followed the two kids into the living room
"okay so best out of 3, then we switch and i play aiden, and then y'all play each other?" she suggested to leo and aiden and they both nodded "i mean either way, both y'all finna lose so" aiden said with a smile and the two both laughed "somebody come get this child" tana joked as aiden stuck his tongue out at her while leo booted up the ps5 in the living room
once it was on they connected their controllers and opened mk11, leo and kat chose there characters and aiden looked at kat "crazy how your literally named after a mortal kombat character yet you don't even main her" he teased and she laughed
"cus mileena's more fun, if i had a sister i would have begged my mom to name her mileena because she actually did name me kitana because her and my uncle played mortal kombat all the time growing up and she a thing for doing tricks with kitana's in her 20's too" she explained and leo nodded "that's kinda cool" he replied as the game began and the two started immediately button spamming
tana won the first round and did mileena's fatality "mileena wins, flawless victory!" she chanted to leo who just rolled his eyes and mimicked her which made them all laugh as jah walked over to them
"so who won?" he asked and kat smiled proudly at him "me, i won first round. we going best outta 3, but imma win them all so who cares!" she called out to him and he laughed at her while the two started up another round
this time though, leo won the first half of the round but tana got the fatality in the end meaning she won again. they did the 3rd round and tana once again, won against leo
"bitch you cheating!" he called out and she laughed "no i'm just better than you, anyways switch to aiden puhleasee" she reminded him and he handed the controller to aiden, who switched characters over to liu kang
this time however, aiden won the first round and kat's face dropped in shock which made all 3 boys laugh "finally somebody knocked this girl off her throne" jah said and kat side eyed him "fuck you" she said and he laughed "you already have, many times" he taunted which made aiden and leo scrunch their faces up
"get a damn room" aiden said to the two which made them laugh as another round started, luckily for kat she won this round and the round after that. meaning she won against both leo and aiden
she passed the controller over to leo as the two kids started playing each other and she got up and walked over to jah who was sitting on the couch. she sat on his lap, facing him and he wrapped his arms around her waist
"so how long we staying here before we go back home?" she asked and he shrugged "ion know, prolly another 30 minutes. i just wanted to see my family n shit for a lil bit" he replied and she nodded before leaning down and laying her head on his chest
he moved one of his hands from her waist to up her back, as he began rubbing it which calmed her. he could tell she still felt awkward being around his family and he didn't like that, she was a huge part of his life and so was his family so the last thing he'd want is for her to feel uncomfortable
"you know my mom likes you right?" he reminded her quietly and she sighed "i know but it just still feels weird, like i'm not used to being around the family of the person i'm in a relationship with. ion ever do that meeting the parents or the siblings shit, i've only ever did it twice and was uncomfortable even then" she mumbled into his chest
"why does it make you uncomfortable though?" he asked and she shrugged "prolly just because of how close y'all are i guess, i don't know i'm just not used to a family dynamic like that so it just makes me feel awkward when i'm around it" she explained and he nodded understanding where she was coming from
"well baby my family is your family, it'll take some time for you to warm up but it's gonna be okay" he told her before kissing the top of her head which made her blush
"you always make me feel like one of them bitches in them teen romcom movies, all giddy n shit" she mumbled which made jah chuckle "i'm glad i could make you feel like that" he said to her and she smiled up at him before the two looked over at the tv and watched aiden and leo duke it on the game
