"Buona giornata Rosso (Have a good day Red)," Charlie called from the front door of the Swan House, giving her a wave of his hand as a goodbye.
Amélie chuckled and waved back at him. "Lo zio! Arrivederci! (I will Uncle! I will see you later!)"
Charlie laughed and nodded his head along with her words. He watched her walking towards the large navy van, the same one that was in the accident a few days ago, but it seemed to be repaired of any damage. The side door of the large van swung open to reveal the entire friend group together in the back. They all started calling and cheering for Amélie who threw her hands up in the air in joy seeing all her her friends. Charlie let out a loud booming laughed, it was so loud it caught the attention of the people in the van. The group waved cautiously towards the Chief, who chuckled to himself and waved back.
A body shoved past Charlie to get out of the house. Charlie looked over to see Bella with a large frown on her face. She was wrapped up in many hoodies and coats to keep herself warm with a backpack thrown over her shoulder.
"Have a good day Bella, see you later," Charlie called after Bella, trying to have a small conversation as a goodbye.
Bella kept walking away from him, not bothering to stop. "Yeah, whatever."
Charlie bit the inside of his cheek, trying not to snap at his daughter for her horrible manners. He knew he had to have a discussion with her about her attitude and mannerisms because he was truly disgusted with her behaviour, and it had to stop. Charlie watched the navy van begin to reverse out of the Swan residency and onto the main road. He noticed how Amélie waved at him from the passenger side window, a large smile was spread acrossher face, Charlie smile grew onto his face once more and gently waved back at her, and he continued to do so until the van disappeared down the road towards the reservation.
Charlie sighed to himself before closing the door of his once quiet house and enjoying the day he had gotten to himself.

It was a cold and dreary day, much like everyday in Forks. The sky was filled with dark clouds and they looked as though they were full of rain ready to release it all on the residents of Forks but for now it stayed as it was although the clouds looked darker along the La Push beach. The breeze would remind one of cold knives threading across ones skin, it was freezing but it seemed to be worse down in La Push as they were right by the beach instead of in the centre of town. The waves were choppy and strong and so it was an ideal day for surfers or even swimmers to be in the water. The beach was desolate and their were only a few people in the water making the group of seven the largest group their. It wasn't the ideal day to go down to the beach as there was no sun but it was better than most days for swimming and surfing - Amélie had to thank Benedict for keeping the day nice enough for them.
Jessica, Mike and Eric began getting ready to go into the water. Mike had a grey wetsuit on, Eric had a black one and Jessica had a mixture of a pink and grey wetsuit. They all complained about how annoying and painful it was to get a wetsuit over their bodies. As the three were getting ready Tyler went to get surfboards for the few who were surfing. It left the remaining three to themselves. Amélie and Angela cuddled up with one another under one patched blanket, chatting to one another aimlessly while Bella was leaning against the van, a sombre expression on her face as she was lost in her own world.
"I keep thinking that Eric is going to ask me to prom but then..he just doesn't.." Angela trailed off, upset at her whole ordeal.
"Why not you ask him! You are a strong independent amazing woman!" Amélie spoke out, cheering on Angela for being the amazing woman that she was.
"I am?" Angela questioned hesitantly.
"Of course you are!" Amélie nodded quickly, trying to give Angela some confidence.
Bella rolled her eyes. "Or you could just do it the traditional way and wait until he asks."
Both girls turned towards Bella, they didn't realise that Bella had listened in on the entire conversation. Although Amélie was confused at Bellas words Amélie gave Bella her answer. "The traditional way will only get one so far."
"But it's tradition," Bella spoke in a 'duh' tone, along with a snap in her tone.
"Its not the twentieth century anymore Bella," Angela pointed out. Although Angela was once afraid of Bella and her snappy and rude comments Angela has begun to step up to her bit by bit as so she would not be walked over.
"Well.." Bella trailed off unsure of what to say in her defense.
"And that is exactly why Angela will ask Eric to prom, as a strong amazing woman you will take control of the situation!" Amélie cheered. Angela smiled and nodded, ignoring Bella's words.
Jessica soon popped over towards the three girls, showing her back to them. "Could you help me?"
"Sure," Angela hummed as she zipped Jessica's wetsuit up her body as so it would not open as she surfed.
"Amélie! Bella!"
Amélie unraveled herself from Angela and her blanket and hopped out of the large navy van only to run towards the voice she had began to miss. Tossing herself into the arms of the Quileute man she let out a string of giggles as Jacob swung her around in the air. Jacob also laughed along with her. It wasn't long before Jacob placed Amélie back down to the ground, Amélie grinned up at him before leading the group of three boys towards her own friend group.
"Everyone this is Jacob!" Amélie introduced. Amélie felt a jab in her back and turned around only to come face to face with some she hadn't seen in quite a while. "Embry!"
Amélie wrapped her arms around the boy who laughed at her but wasted no time in wrapping the girl up in a hug. "And I thought you forgot me for a second little red."
"I could never!" Amélie giggled before turning back to the group who had muffled their laughs during the entire interaction.
Bella groaned catching the groups attention. She hide her grin of triumph of getting the groups attention before turning to Jacob who was still standing by Amélie's side. "What are you stalking me or something?"
Jacob shuffled on his feet, uncomfortable by Bella's gaze. "Your on our rez remember?"
"Are you guys surfing?" Embry asked, trying to take the attention away from Jacob although he was next to feel Bella's uncomfortable gaze and so he scooted closer to Amélie, her presence calmed him.
"Just those three," Amélie pointed out Mike, Eric and Jessica. "We are going whale watching!"
The group couldn't help but chuckle at the ginger haired girls enthusiasm and excitement for seeing the whales. Jacob threw his arm over Amélie's shoulder when he realised she was shaking a because of the cold. Embry also noticed this and stood behind Amélie, blocking the cold breeze that was coming in the direction behind the beloved ginger girl.
Jessica noticed Bella's glare towards Amélie and so a large mischievous grinn formed on her face. "You know, you guys could keep Bella company, her date bailed."
Mike chuckled. "Oh yeah? What date?"
Jessica had to stop herself from bursting out into laughter. "She invited Edward Cullen."
Bella glared at Jessica for bringing up the topic they were now all so caught up on. She grit her teeth trying to diffuse the anger that has been so apparent since the moment she got off the Arizona plane to Forks. "I was just being polite."
"Yeah well, that Cullen is a freak," Mike pointed out. The rest of the group couldn't help but nod. They held nothing against the Cullens, they had always been very kind to them and of course Benedict Cullen was now dating the groups beloved girl; Amélie. But Edward always seemed withdrawn and severed from the rest of his family as he never spoke to anyone, he was extremely quite and if anyone was partnered up with him for a project he wouldn't dare speak a word and when he did all he spoke were insults.
"You got that right," the other Quileute boy agreed.
Bella grew curious more and more curious. "You know him?"
"The Cullens don't come here," Embry's voice was cold and firm, something that Amélie picked up on yet decided to say nothing about his cold words.
The group was once again left in silence. Bella only having more questions than answers and she grew more and more frustrated with the situation. She just wanted to know everything about the Cullens and yet they stood so far out of reach as well as not being close to them only drew her further apart. Although Amélie was also curious about the situation she knew the Cullens had a reason for not going to the reservation and she knew she had no right to question them.
Jacob uncomfortable in the tense silence asked. "Do you want to go for a walk along the beach?"
Amélie looked up to see Jacob address herself and so she merely nodded mumbling a small. "Yes"
"I'll come too!" Bella jumped at the opportunity to know more, unknowing to her that Jacob and Embry groaned.

Jacob, Amélie and Bella walked down the beachside. Embry and the other boys name that Amélie discovered to be Jared stayed back with the others. Amélie enjoyed talking with Jared, although he was a very flirty character, she enjoyed his company and found herself comfortable with the boy she had just met.
The trio walked down the beachside in silence until Bella couldn't hold in her curiosity any longer. "What did your friend mean by the Cullens not coming here?"
"You caught that huh?" Jacob mumbled not wanting to discuss that topic and yet his discomfort only enticed Bella in. "I'm not supposed to say anything about it."
"You don't have to tell us if you don't want too Jacob -" Amélie smiled softly at the boy, knowing he was uncomfortable by Bella and her questions.
Yet Bella had to speak over her. "I can keep a secret!"
Jacob tried playing the situation. "Really it's only an old scary story."
"Well I wanna know," Bella pushed and pushed the boy for answers. Amélie leaned her head against Jacobs shoulder showing her comfort and support as she and Jacob both knew she wouldn't stop pressing until she got what she wanted and in this case it was answers.
"Okay..um..did you know that Quileute are supposedly descendants wolves," Jacob added.
"Really!" Amélie looked up at him in awe.
Jacob chuckled although proud of his decendancy. "Yeah, it's the legend of our tribe."
"So? What's the story of the Cullens?" Bella bit in, bored out of her mind with Jacob's rambling and misdirecting the conversation.
Jacob thought for a moment, trying to come up with the right words. Amélie looked up at him with a concerned look. "Well they are supposed to be descendant of this enemy clan. My great grandfather the Chief, found them hunting on our land but they...claimed to be something...different. so we made a treaty with them. If they promised to stay of Quileute land then we wouldn't expose what they really were..to the pale faces."
Bella scrunched her eyebrows in confusion. "I thought they just moved here."
Jacob hummed in a creepy manner, trying to get it back onto the topic of it being a scary story. "Or they just moved back."
A loud scream echoed the beach. Both Bella and Jacob flinched while Amélie jumped into Jacob who wrapped his arm back around her shoulders in comfort. They looked over only to see Eric chasing Angela with a long sea worm on the beach. The trio relaxed once they knew nothing was wrong yet Jacob still had his arm around Amélie.
Bella opened her mouth once more. "So what are they really?"
Amélie spoke quietly. "Remember Bella, it's just a story."
Bella scowled at her about to made a snappy remark towards her but Jacob pulled Amélie in closer to him and nodded with Amélie's words as he gave Bella the same scowl she gave Amélie. "Amélie's right, it's just a story...let's go."
And with that Amélie and Jacob walked up the beach, leaving Bella standing alone watching them walk away with a flaring anger in her eyes.
She was so close..
