.Meira's POV.
Fuck!
Yeah, you fucked this guy last night.
My eyes became the size of saucers as his, Austin looked at me with no emotion. No sign of shock flashes through those warm brown eyes.
Not. A. Single. Reaction.
The fuck?!
I looked at my dad, "What...?"
He nodded. I looked at mama and she was looking at me with the look, 'It's important and we have nothing to do.'
"This is crazy!" I exclaimed.
"Meira." Dad sternly called.
"Dad, this is not done!" I said. I looked at Austin again and saw him standing there like a mannequin with no emotions.
No emotions? Last night, he was fucking moaning my name!
Asshole!
Did he knew who I was? That he was hired to being my bodyguard?
I turned to Austin and walked close to him, crossing my arms on my chest, "Mr. Davis, would you mind giving me and my parents some privacy?" I gave him a fake smile. If he can be an ass, I can also be a bitch.
He looked at my dad and I followed his gaze. Dad looked at me momentarily and then at Austin. He nods at him and Austin gave a single nod before walking outside the office without any hesitation and not even a single glance back.
Did he just ignore my presence and, was my statement not enough for him to get out of this room?
After the door clicked closed, I turned to my dad. "What the hell is this?" I asked calmly.
"This is for your safety." He said.
"What safety? Are there goons and mafia gangs after me? Are you doing smuggling or something illegal?" I asked exaggerating.
He glared, "Shut up!" I shut and looked away huffing, crossing my arms on my chest again.
He continued, "Your mom and I are going to travel for an entire year back to back. We'll be rarely home, you know that. And we can't just let you stay at home alone with no protection."
"I'll be safe. I'm an adult and—"
"So? Just so you're an adult, you don't need protection? You're going to be safe 24/7? No, Meira. You might be an adult but you're still alone. We won't be here all the time. You won't be before our eyes." Dad said. "I can't live in peace while being on the different side of the world not knowing how my daughter would be doing."
He got up from his chair and walked toward me. He put his hands on my shoulders, "You need Austin. He's your bodyguard from now on. And he's not permanent. He's just here until we finish our traveling and then he'll be gone. Till we get back, just please co-operate. For me and your mama."
I sighed and looked at my parents.
My parents; especially my dad, will be traveling to different countries for business purposes. Traveling is a bit risky for dad because of his health. But for the business, it's important for him to go. Mama won't risk anything so she's accompanying him. The traveling schedule is for almost more than a year.
"But Martha is here. She'll stay." I said.
"Martha is close to her old age. And two women living alone in a big house? Not a chance. Male presence is important. Also, you just started college. Hiring a driver for you was already in question but since now Austin would be here, everything would be sorted. He'll be with you all the time except for when it's time for everyone's bed."
He further states, "His room will be the room on the right-across from yours. He'll shift here soon since his place is good far from ours. You will be on your best behavior. I won't tolerate any misbehave and bratty attitude, you understand?"
"Fine," I softly huffed, furrowing my brow in annoyance, "I'll co-operate."
I really had to give up because if I throw tantrums then mama and dad would be in more distress and I don't want to cause trouble before their long traveling.
Dad and mom smiled and gave me a hug together. I hugged them back.
"When are you both leaving?" I asked.
"The day after tomorrow," Mama said. I nodded.
"Was all these necessary?" I rolled my eyes. Mostly my irritation is caused by Austin acting ignorant towards me. The audacity.
"Yes." Dad replied. I groaned. Dad had that faint sneaky smile on his face. "Oh and Austin will be guarding you from today. Just to get you two used to and you to get comfortable."
"What?!" What the hell, no!
"Yes, today is his first day here at work." He said in his 'no argument' tone. I didn't say anything. "I don't want any complaint from Austin against you."
"Is he my bodyguard or teacher?" I asked.
Mama snickered and dad's lips stretched faintly in that same sneaky smile once again. "Bodyguard for you, informer for me." He said.
"Ugh!" I groaned.
"Now, go and," he looked directly in my eyes, "...Behave."

I stuff the omelettes in my mouth as I look directly at the man before me with a narrowed gaze, standing like a statue.
For the past ten minutes, he's looking straight at the wall with no emotions on his face.
Should I kick his nuts to get his reaction?
I can if I want but last night, his performance made me stop in my tracks. It'll be cruel of me if I kick him after what we did last night.
His dick is precious. For now.
Since he wasn't looking at me at all, I was looking at him. Without flattering my gaze.
My gaze was strong and fiery. Not dreamy.
"Now, stop it, Meira. You're being a creep." Martha said coming from the kitchen, seeing me looking at my bodyguard.
"What, Martha? I've never seen a bodyguard before." I said in a mocking way stressing the 'bodyguard' part.
I noticed him smoothly gulp. It wasn't noticeable that much but my eyes are like a hawk's and his adam's apple did bobble slightly.
The way his adam's apple bobbled last night seeing my naked body.
I slightly blushed and shrugged it away before anyone could notice.
"Meira," Martha hissed in warning. I rolled my eyes and got up from my chair since my breakfast was done.
"The breakfast was delicious, Martha. Thank you." I said and walked up to my room. Austin automatically started following me without any word.
Oh yeah, he's my bodyguard.
I walked up the stairs and his footsteps were loud enough clicking and making me want to rip my hair out. I lowly groaned and rolled my eyes.
"Why are you following me?" I asked without looking back as I kept walking.
"I'm not following you, I'm guarding you." He spoke for the first time ever since the morning.
"Oh right, like a bullet is just going to come from that window and hit me." I chuckled humorlessly.
"It's not like that, Ms. Sullivan and I hope you understand that."
I stopped on my track after I heard him.
What the—
I instantly spun around and looked at him. We were standing in the middle of the corridor, where words echoes the most.
"What did you just call me?" I asked lowly, carefully.
"Ms. Sullivan." He said without any emotion or hesitation.
"Ms. Sullivan?" I asked and mockingly laughed. He nods.
I glared at him, "Well, Mr. Davis, as I completely remember," I inched close to him and he didn't even flinch a bit, and whispered, "You were moaning my first name last night. On repeat. Every time you took me."
I said and leaned back now looking at his face. Something flashed in his warm brown eyes before it was back to normal.
"Ms. Sullivan, if you want to talk about any personal topic or subjects, I would suggest you have this conversation when I'm off duty." He said it in a monotone but I detected the slow, careful choice of his words.
Damn you, Austin.
"Off-duty huh? Now, you need to be on off-duty to talk to me in my house, standing before me?!" I hissed, looking dead into his eyes.
Fuck, I'm so pissed. He's acting like he didn't spend last night in my arms. Ms. Sullivan?! He called me MS. SULLIVAN!? What's with him?
"And when is that, Mr. Davis? Your 'Off-duty'?" I asked air-quoting the word. He was testing my patience.
"From 8:00p.m to 6:00a.m." He said.
Since my parents are still here, haven't left, Austin will be guarding me during the day; for no fucking reason in my terms and us warming up in my parents' terms; and will go off duty at night and return back to his home. But he'll be with me 24/7 after my parents leave. He'll have no off-duty.
Wow.
Life is great!
I gave him a glare and went inside my room, slamming the door.
