"Welp... cheers to us about to make this money tonight."
Kaliyah said, raising up what would be her 3rd shot for the evening. She smiled, watching as both Leilani, Shay, and few other dancers raised their shot glasses up as well, clinking them together.
"Unt unt, cheers to King Von fine ass."
Bella, one of the dancers in the group said with a smirk. The rest of the girls began to giggle with each other as they clinked their glasses once again. Kaliyah just made a face, not really cheering to that at all.
"Aww here she go, acting like she don't like Von."
Shay playfully teased.
"What?? You don't like King Von? The fuck is that about sis?"
Bella questioned.
"Uhh I never said that I didn't like him. Y'all just loveee putting words in my mouth and down my throat."
Kaliyah purposely exaggerated. She just took the shot, throwing her head back while the hot alcohol burned her throat.
"Ugh... gross."
She muttered, placing the empty cup down before quickly sipping on her red bull. She ran her hands down her black dress, making sure it didn't ride up since it was a little bit short on her. The dress hugged her body perfectly, showing off her hard earned curves from dancing so much.
Kaliyah felt extremely pretty this evening, with her locs being pulled all the way up into a cute short pony tail. The hair tech that she religiously went to in Chicago always seemed to get her right every single time whenever it came to her different hair styles.
"That man is fine as hell, and I'm gonna make sure he sees me tonight for real."
Another one of the girls said, still talking about Von.
"I don't even want his money, I just want him."
Bella smirked. Kaliyah continued shaking her head at all the nonsense she was hearing.
Lowkey, Kali was sort of curious to possibly see Von again tonight. She didn't want to admit it, but that's just how she felt. She hadn't seen him in years, and she did feel like she had been living under a rock by not keeping up with him.
Kaliyah just wondered if he was even still the same authentic Von she knew back then, or if the fame had changed him. As far as she knew, Dayvon was always seemed like the cocky type. So she wouldn't be too surprised if that's how he still acted today.
"Alright y'all, I'm on in like 5 minutes, wish me luck."
Bella said, waving at the girls before walking off. Bella had been working at the strip club longer then Kaliyah, Leilani and Shay. She was practically a pro at dancing on the pole. Most of the men that came to this club always requested her for private dances, simply because of how good she was.
"Y'all... Rob said he might be coming to see me tonight."
Leilani spoke up.
"Ohhhh here we go again. Are you gonna end things with him this time or what?"
Shay pointed. Leilani just rolled her eyes.
"Girl I just don't know. It's complicated."
She whined.
"I mean it shouldn't be that complicated. It's either you want to continue putting up with his bullshit or not?"
Kaliyah stated, shrugging her shoulders. Leilani just leaned up against the bar, pouting her lips.
"I mean... I know me and him fight a lot, and I know he's always cheating on me n shit, but it's hard because I'm still just so in love with him."
"Awww Lani..."
Shay frowned. Kaliyah just pressed her lips together, completely understanding where Leilani was coming from. When you're in love with somebody it can be extremely difficult to let them go.
"I get that.. I do."
Kaliyah began, catching Leilani's attention.
"But, you also gotta understand the difference between loving somebody, and just being comfortable with them. I mean, I know you and Rob have been together for years now, but clearly he isn't willing to change and be a better man for you."
She pointed.
"Kaliyah is right. I feel like you are just too scared to leave him Lani. Correct me if I'm wrong."
Leilani just thought for a moment, letting out a deep sigh before nodding her head.
"I guess y'all are right. I am super comfortable with Rob. He's all I know. He was my first love and everything which is why it's so easy to go running back to him."
She admitted.
"Well I'm glad you realize that. Now the next step is to seriously dump his ass for real this time."
Shay clapped her hands.
"Oh goshhh... I am not supposed to be in my feelings right now."
Leilani groaned just as the girls began to laugh. Kaliyah just giggled, glancing down at her rolex which was impressively encrusted with diamonds. It was a birthday gift she ended up proudly getting herself a year ago. She just looked at the time before getting up from her seat.
"Alright y'all, I gotta go do my thing. But we can talk some more about this once I'm done."
She announced, quickly giving both Leilani and Shay a warm hug.
"Girl you better shake some ass and make Duke mad."
Shay snickered.
"Yupp, and get Von's attention while your at it."
Leilani slickly added in. Kaliyah playfully scoffed, waving them off before disappearing through the crowd of people. She could feel the alcohol just kicking into her system, getting rid of any nerves she might've had. In the beginging, Kali used to be so nervous whenever it came time for her to dance on stage. Especially since she had to wear skimpy outfits while sliding up and down a pole in front of random people.
These days, Kaliyah found simple ways to cope with it. She sometimes liked to pretend that she was the only person in the room just dancing on the pole by herself. The only thing she loved about working at the strip club was the money that would fall like rain all around her. It was the only motivation she needed for the night in order to keep her going.
Kaliyah knew that she wouldn't be dancing forever, but for now she really had no other choice.

11pm
After performing a 2 hour show and than heading back to his hotel room to freshen up, Dayvon finally found himself entering the infamous strip club that everyone had been talking about.
Ass was everywhere, left and right no matter where he looked. Money was flying all over the place as him and his team did a walk through. Big folks was in front leading the way, making sure a few of Von's fans wouldn't be able to touch him as they shuffled through the club.
Dayvon could just feel all eyes on him. It wasn't a secret that he was going to be here tonight. A lot of the females especially were on high alert as he walked by, waving at him and screaming his name. Of course it was doing nothing but boosting up his ego as he smiled, purposely showing off his new grill for the ladies to see.
As tired as he was from the day, Von knew he planned on spending this night just enjoying himself and his accomplishments, along with all of his friends.
It didn't take them long to finally reach their own personal private section. There, they met with Duke who already had his own crew of people with him. All the guys just greeted each other, exchanging handshakes like they usually do with one another.
"Slimeeee it's been a minute G."
Duke said, grinning from ear to ear while looking at Von.
"Whatchu on gang? I'm hearin' nun but good things about you out hea'."
Von said, just as they slapped each others hand.
"You know me, I'm just tryna keep up wit yo successful ass. Yo ass really made it out the mud for real."
Duke grinned.
"You out hea' given us niggas hope. You make this gangster shit look easy Von."
He kept on boosting.
"This goofy ass nigga so fanned out on my mama."
Herb butted in, teasing while smirking. Duke just sucked his teeth, waving him off before they all took a seat. There were two mini stages in right front of them where the dancers would be coming out soon to perform.
"We need some hoes up in this section, it's too many niggas hea'."
Booka shouted.
"Aye hold on y'all, my bitch finna be comin out inna second."
Duke snickered, nodding his head towards the stage. Von just raised his eyebrows slightly.
"Yo bitch? Mannn how many hoes do you got twin?"
Durk playfully nudged Duke's arm. Duke just continued to smirk while the bottle girls came over with the alcohol. They had expensive bottles like Azul and 1942, along with the classic old Hennessy bottle as well.
"I can't really say or else my bitch would beat my ass."
He pointed, earning a laugh from all the guys. Von didn't laugh much though, he only chuckled just a little bit.
"But Kaliyah my main bitch for real. I'm tryna trap her ass down one of these days with a baby. Her ass be thinkin she can get away from me n shit, and I refuse to let that happen."
"Nigga you ain't shit."
Booka chuckled. Duke just continued smirking real hard. It was obvious that he seemed to be drunk or high off something tonight, which was probably why he was talking so crazy about Kaliyah.
Dayvon just continued to not say much, instead his eyes focusing onto the stage in front of him. All he needed to hear was that Kaliyah would be performing soon. He wasn't sure why that intrigued him so much, but it did. It was just something about her that made him so curious.
He remembered exactly how he felt the night he kissed her, and frankly he hadn't felt like that again ever since that night. Even though the kiss only lasted a few seconds, the feeling just seemed to stick with him.
*30 minutes later*
By now, the DJ at the club began playing all of Von's music. Duke had let a few girls into their section just to turn things up a bit. Dayvon wasn't much of a drinker, but he did decide to let loose a little and sip on some Hennessy for the night.
A few girls sat right next to him as they all flirted with him for a while. They even danced and rapped to all of his songs which he thought was extremely funny. He recorded the girls just rapping and dancing on him to his music, carelessly posting it all on his instagram story.
He knew the shaderoom would eat it up, and all the blogs would say something about him cheating on Asian once again; but Dayvon could care less at this point. Between the alcohol and weed he was smoking, Von could definitely tell that he was super cross faded.
With all that going on, Von just couldn't seem to wait any longer for Kaliyah to come out on stage. He just kept picturing her face from when he saw her earlier at the mall. He kept mentally cursing himself, wishing he would've said something to her if he had known who she was-
Suddenly, the DJ began to switch up the song as the lights in the club started turning different colors. The mini stage in front of them lit up, just as Rich $ex by Future began to play loudly. Dayvon kept his eyes peeled onto the stage, finally noticing a slim thick dark skin female approaching.
"There she go..."
Duke smirked, pointing toward the stage while trying to get everyone's attention. For some reason, he seemed extremely hype to show off Kaliyah to all the guys, almost as if she was his prize or something.
Dayvon just tuned him out, instead sitting up as he could see Kaliyah entering the stage with her 8 inch heels. Von truly couldn't tell if it was the weed or the alcohol he was on, but for some reason Kaliyah looked very enticing to him in this moment. She definitely wasn't the same innocent girl he once remembered.
Her dark skin just glistened perfectly underneath the club lights as she gently grabbed onto the pole. She glanced out in front of her, her eyes instantly landing on Duke. She didn't seem too happy to see him, instead looking away before she started her set.
All the guys just watched as she gripped onto the pole, swiftly pulling herself up with ease. She wrapped her right leg around the pole, using her thigh to keep herself hoisted up as her body began to effortlessly twirl to the beat of the song. Kaliyah impressively extended her arm out, practically showing off her upper body strength as she held onto the pole with only one hand while she spun.
"Damn..."
Herb muttered, hopping up along with Duke and the rest of the guys. They all began to just throw money, Kaliyah watching as it came raining down right on top of her. The money didn't phase her though as her spinning began to slow down. She placed both her feet back onto the ground again before seductively walking around the pole like a pro.
This time, she used both hands to climb up the pole while her thighs helped support her weight. Dayvon couldn't believe his eyes as Kaliyah made it to the top, gently pulling herself upside down now with her right leg gripping firmly onto the pole for support. This time, she had a small smile on her face as everyone began to cheer, watching as she gracefully spun around in a 360 with both her legs extended out, practically showing off her flexibility skills.
She let go of the pole with her hands, instead letting them hang as she continued to spin. The sight of her was truly astonishing to everyone. Dayvon simply would have never imagined Kaliyah ever like this in his life. The more he continued to watch her, the more intrigued and focused he was. It wasn't until they finally made eye contact, her eyes instantly locking with his.
She almost seemed sort of shocked to see him there just watching her. She couldn't seem to look away from him while she kept dancing. He had no idea that his stare was lowkey making her nervous, but Kaliyah knew she couldn't fold.
For her final trick, Kaliyah climbed the pole one last time, making sure to get as high as she could just as her body spun effortlessly around in the air. The way she moved on the pole was very serene and euphoric to watch. She still kept her eyes on Von, tuning everyone else out now as she extended both her legs into a full blown split.
By then, the song had finally ended as she slid down the pole, landing on her feet once again.
She had a small smirk on her face, almost looking like she enjoyed what she had just did as she was slightly out of breath. Kaliyah practically had to force herself to look away from Von now, just as two security guards came up onto the stage to grab up all the money she made tonight.
Dayvon continued to watch her, his heart dropping a bit as she turned on her heel before disappearing back stage.
Chicago, IL 📍
Saturday, May 11th
12:30am
Kaliyah sat tiredly in the locker room, both her heels off as she had her foot pulled up onto her leg. She was gently massaging her feet, trying to get the soreness out from the 8inch pumps she had on. There was a huge bag of money just sitting right next to her, practically stuffed with mostly hundred dollar bills.
She absolutely had no idea that Dayvon would even be at her stage tonight watching her perform like that. She figured Von was probably over there only because of Duke. Kaliyah was well aware that Duke and Von technically shared the same friend group, so it shouldn't of been that much of a shock for her to see him there.
Either way, she still didn't expect it at all. She kept envisioning the way Von had been watching her the entire night. It was as if he was staring right into her soul. It almost made her nervous, which was a feeling she hadn't felt in a long time. She could feel her cheeks begin to warm up as she just gazed off, daydreaming about his stare.
I hope I didn't look stupid out there.
She thought to herself, running back the routine she just performed in her head.
"Biiiitchhh you did so good tonight!"
The sound of Leilani's voice could be heard, interrupting her thoughts. Kaliyah just snapped out of it, looking up as both Shay and Kaliyah made their way over to her.
"You think so?"
She questioned, lowkey doubting herself. She never really doubted how she danced before, but with Von being in the audience tonight, she couldn't help but second guess herself.
"Hoe are you serious? You looked insane up there. Literally everyone in the club was watching your set."
Shay pointed.
"Ugh... it's probably because King Von and his entire crew was there in my section."
She muttered, rolling her eyes.
"Oh girl we saw that too. Bella was so mad once she found out he was at your stage."
Leilani snickered.
"Oh goodness..."
Kali just rolled her eyes before placing her foot down.
"Yeah, a lot of the girls were pretty jealous of you tonight. I bet you probably made the most money since you basically had all the rich and famous niggas in your section."
Shay said.
"Look... Von being there was completely unexpected. Duke was there too, so I'm assuming that's why he was there in the first place since they know each other."
She just shrugged.
"Well, either way yo ass did amazing. You gotta teach me that lil split move you did in the end. My legs don't be stretching that far."
Leilani teased, just as Kaliyah playfully hit her on the shoulder. A few more dancers came in, walking by while giving Kaliyah dirty looks.
"Ugh... here we go."
She muttered, getting up to her feet now.
"Mann let's just get out of here. I'm hungry and my feet hurt... and I'm also hungry."
She pointed, causing the girls to just giggle.
"Yeah ok. We can stop by our favorite wing place and I can tell you all about how I broke up with Rob for good this time."
Leilani smirked.
"Oh reallyyyyyyyyy?!"
Kaliyah raised her eyebrows up.
"Yawpppp. She told his ass off real good. I saw the whole thing."
Shay boosted.
"Aww babe, Im proud of you!"
Kaliyah couldn't help but pull Leilani into a hug. She definitely was proud of her best friend for finally having the guts to let go of such a toxic relationship.
"Now its your turn to dump Duke."
Leilani slickly said, just as they both pulled away. Kaliyah just stuck her tongue out at her before they all continued to laugh again.
"I'll deal with his ass one of these days."
She muttered.
*15 minutes later*
It didn't take long for the girls to pack up all their stuff. Kaliyah ended up changing out of her scandalous outfit and into the black dress she originally had on. She touched up her makeup a bit, surprised that it still looked good even after all those flips and spins she was doing tonight.
By then, the girls began making their way out the locker rooms and back into the club. Kaliyah thankfully didn't see any sign of Duke, which made her lowkey happy. She knew he had been watching her all night to, and she was just hoping that he stayed as far away from her as possible.
The girls began strutting their way through the club with Leilani and Shay in front while Kaliyah trailed behind them. It wasn't until Kali could feel a hand gently but firmly grabbing onto her wrist, instantly stopping her in her tracks. She gasped, immediately thinking it was Duke as she quickly turned to face the person.
To her surprise though, her eyes were fixed on not Duke... but Dayvon instead.
They just looked at each other, no words being exchanged as the music from the club just filled the void between them. Kaliyah could see that his eyes were a bit low, signaling that he definitely was under the influence for sure. He just licked his lips slightly, his impeccable eye contact driving her completely insane as her heart rate picked up.
His face was so handsome to her. Kaliyah could truly now understand why all the women practically went crazy for King Von.
"My bad, I ain't mean ta scare you, Ma."
He spoke softly, letting go of her hand. A small smirk just rested onto his perfectly shaped lips as she quickly pulled her arm back away from him.
"You didn't scare me... I just thought that you were somebody else."
She responded.
"What.. you thought I was Duke a'sum?"
He questioned, raising his eyebrows up a bit. Kaliyah just paused, not really sure on how to even respond to that. What did he even know about me and Duke?
She thought quietly to herself.
"Did you need something?"
She snapped, shifting onto her feet. She wasn't sure why she always resorted to giving him an attitude. She just couldn't help it. He made her extremely nervous and she was just trying her best to hide it.
But Dayvon was smart, and he could see right through her.
"Ion need nun from you Ma. You already did yo thing beautifully tonight."
He pointed, completely unfazed by her feistiness. She could feel her cheeks turning warm once again as he eye'd her up and down, taking in her appearance.
"I jus' wanted ta give you this-"
She watched him, furrowing her eyebrows up as he stuck out a huge fat stack of cash. She could see nothing but only $100 bills which were being held securely with a rubber band. He pulled his bottom lip underneath his teeth, the diamonds in his grill twinkling like stars as he handed her the money.
"I wanted ta personally give you this stack instead of throwin it at you Kaliyah."
The sound of her name just rolling off his tongue made her feel warm inside. She truly didn't know what to say as she took the money into her hands.
"Von I... I don't really need-"
"Ion wanna hear it Kali. Ain't this tha whole point of yo job right? Stop playin lil girl."
He chuckled, shaking his head. She just remained quiet, looking down at the money once again. She noticed that there was a small piece of paper that was tucked neatly inbetween the rubber band.
"You still love actin' like a square huh?"
He joked, watching as she squinted her eyes slightly.
"But anyway... I hope ta see you around Kaliyah."
He sent her a wink, something that he did so perfectly before walking right past her. Kaliyah just continued to frown, looking back down at the money again before pulling out the small piece of paper. She just stood there, curiously unfolding it before spotting a random number neatly written inside.
Did this nigga just give me his phone number?
She thought quietly to herself. She continued to frown before turning back around. There, she could see both Leilani and Shay just looking at her with shocked facial expressions.
Great....
*Later that night*
"Girl... this stack of cash he gave you has gotta be at least 15k."
Kaliyah, Leilani and Shay were now at the chicken spot, sitting in a booth with their food in front of them. Kali just took a sip of her lemonade, watching as both Shay and Leilani examined the band that Von had given her earlier.
"And he gave you his number along with it to?"
Shay questioned.
"Yup. Right here."
Kali said, picking up the tiny piece of paper with his phone number on it. The girls just gasped as Kaliyah rolled her eyes.
"Soooo... you're gonna call him right? Or at least text him because clearly he-"
"Oh I'm not doing any of that."
Kali said, cutting Leilani off.
"And why not?"
Shay questioned. They put the stack of money down onto the table before looking at Kaliyah with confusion.
"I.. I just don't want to."
She stated, shrugging her shoulders.
"Oh... so you just don't want to text King Von... interesting."
Leilani pointed. Kaliyah just chuckled, rolling her eyes before placing her lemonade down.
"Look, he has a girlfriend for one. Two, he clearly is a player. I'm not getting involved with any of that. Period."
Kaliyah just leaned back in her seat, crumbling up his phone number before tossing the piece of paper right onto her empty plate. The girls just gasped, watching as she smirked before playfully wiping her hands clean.
"I don't know what he thought this was."
She snickered.
"Damn..."
Shay said, shaking her head.
"Welp, at least you got some money out of this. Shiiiit Von might have to come see me dance one of these days so I can get a band too."
Leilani chuckled.
She handed the money back to Kaliyah who just stuffed it right into her bag. Kali still couldn't believe that Von had given her all this money. She definitely wasn't expecting that interaction with him at all. The money was nice, and she couldn't help but think about how it would all just be going towards her savings. Other than that, she hoped that this little interaction with him was only a one time thing.
He may have given me his number, but he certainly won't be hearing from me.
She thought inwardly to herself.

If y'all were Kaliyah... would y'all have texted Von? 🤣
I feel like Kali is just trying to be respectful especially since Asian and Von are technically together... even tho Kaliyah and Asian haven't talked in years.
This story is only gonna get messier as it progresses cus I loveeee being messy 🤭
