No one's POV:
You walked down the hall to your new classroom with your hands over your sensitive ears and your large leathery bat wings folded against your back.
You tentatively opened the door, wincing at the loud noise coming from inside.
"Hi, what's your name!?" asked a boy with blonde hair that stuck up loudly.
He was practically yelling so with my sensitive hearing it was like he was screaming right in my ear.
"I'm Y/N L/N. Nice to meet you...?" you answered quietly.
"Hizashi Yamada!" he introduced.
You decided it might come off as rude if you asked him to be quiet so instead you just made your way over to what looked to be the quietest kid in class- a tired boy with long black hair.
You sat down next to him and covered your ears again.
Just when you thought you would have some peace and quiet, Yamada came back.
"Hey, Y/N, I see you've met Shota!!" he yelled.
"Um, not exactly..." you started, glancing at the boy next to you.
"Shota, this is Y/N L/N. Y/N, this is Shota Aizawa."
"A pleasure." mumbled Aizawa.
"Uh, yeah, nice to meet you too." you said uncertainly.
The bell rang and you almost screamed, if it wouldn't have just made it worse. The ringing was so loud you felt like your eardrums would burst.
You covered your aching ears as best as you could but you couldn't stop the pain blossoming in your head.
Finally it stopped and Yamada looked over at you cowering in my seat with your ears covered and your eyes squeezed shut.
"You ok, Y/N?" he asked quietly, sounding genuinely concerned.
You nodded and slowly uncovered your ears.
"I just have really sensitive hearing." you explained.
"Because of you quirk?" asked Yamada, again in a surprisingly low voice.
You nodded again.
Yamada went over to talk to a boy with blue hair and a bandage on his nose without another word to you.
"I've never heard him talk so quietly." spoke up Aizawa, making you jump.
"Why?" You wondered.
"Well, his quirk is Sound Waves so I guess he's just gotten used to yelling all the time." he shrugged.
You smiled at Yamada's thoughtfullness, at the same time wondering how long it would last.

Your POV:
As the days went by, I found myself part of a friend group - Hizashi, Shota, Oboro and me.
Shota was the tired, grumpy one, Oboro the friendly ray of sunshine, Yamada the loud annoying one and me- I was just kind of there.
But I loved hanging out with my friends, despite Hizashi forgetting to lower his voice sometimes. But it was probably the fact that he was trying so hard for me that made me fall for him.
Yep, that's right. For unexplainable reasons, I had a crush on Hizashi Yamada. We barely had anything in common and sometimes he got on my nerves, but I knew for sure that I had feelings for him.
His laugh, his jokes, his obnoxiously loud voice- all of it. He gave me butterflies.
I didn't know how much longer I could go without telling him. What if it ruined our friendship? He was the glue of our little friend group and one of my only friends.
So I kept my feeling for myself for as long as I could.
Until one day, I had to tell someone.
"Hey, Shota? Can I tell you something?" I asked nervously one day when it was just the two of us walking home from school.
"Mm-hm?" he hummed.
"So, I sort of have a crush on someone... and I know you're not the best person to ask, but since you know him best I was wondering if I could ask your advice?" I said quickly.
His eyes widened ever so slightly but he nodded slowly, causing more of his shaggy black hair to fall in his face.
"Ok, so..." I took a deep breath to calm my nerves "I really like him, but if I tell him it might ruin out friendship. Either way, it will change the way he sees me forever. What should I do?"
"Well, if it's Hizashi you're talking about, he's pretty hard to not be friends with." Shota said.
I blushed at how easily he guessed it, but appreciated his advice none the less.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." I smiled, remembering our first meeting. I had barely walked through the door when he started trying to become my friend.
To think, all I had wanted at the time was for him to leave me alone.
"So you think I should tell him?" I checked.
"Yeah, why not?" Shota shrugged, looking as if he didn't care very much.
"You're right. Thanks Shota!"
"No problem."

I waited nervously for Hizashi to finish his conversation with Oboro.
I shifted my weight anxiously from one foot to the other in anticipation of what I was about to do.
"Oh, hey, Y/N! What's up?" asked Hizashi cheerfully, turning towards me.
"Um... I was wondering if I could... talk to you for a second?"
"Sure thing! Oboro, don't wait for me."
Oboro gave him a thumbs up and left the classroom, leaving me and Hizashi alone.
"So what did you want to talk about?" grinned Hizashi, painfully oblivious as always.
I sighed, knowing it was now or never and that it was best to get it over with.
Doubts plagued my mind but Shota's comforting assurances that we would remain friends pushed me to move forward.
"So the thing is... I like you. As in, I have a crush on you. I totally get it if you don't like me back, though! I mean, you're amazing, funny, friendly, confident and I'm... me. But I really hope this doesn't affect our friendship." I said, raising my voice more than I have in a long time.
"Y/N..." started Hizashi. I held my breath in anticipation. "You do know that you're amazing too, right? You're kind, beautiful, thoughtful and so many other things. That being said... I like you too. As in, I have a crush on you."
He smiled and I smiled back, wider that I had in my whole life.

"Crap, Shota, looks like we're officially third wheels." chuckled Oboro.
Shota and Oboro both took the news about me and Hizashi dating exactly like we had expected them to- Shota being his usual expressionless self and Oboro congratulating us while joking about being a third wheel.
"I guess so." I smiled, kissing Hizashi's cheek.
"Ewww, gross! Get a room, you two!" said Oboro, fake gagging at my little show of affection.
I blushed but laughed along with the rest of them, happier than I had ever been in my whole life.
I had was in a group of amazing best friends, Hizashi Yamada was my boyfriend and we were all on our bath to becoming heroes together. What more could I ever want?

Sorry if that was too cheesy for you, but y'all know how much I hate sad endings. I did include a little foreshadowing about Oboro's death at the end though.
