Angelina's pov <>
I woke up in a very uncomfortable position with a sound of a heavy knock on my door along with my mother's voice telling me I should wake up or I'll be late for my work.
Stretching my body a little,yawning I replied my mother so that she'll know I'm awake now. Last night I fell asleep in the same half laying position i was in, staring at the moon as I couldn't stop thinking about those eyes .
Shaking my head i made my way to the bathroom of my room as I stared at myself for a minute or two wondering if I should go to work or not, tilting my head a little to left I sighed and did my morning routine.
After having breakfast with my family I left my home for work. As much as I was tempted to take a day off I couldn't bring myself to do so.. I mean what good it'd do to me anyways because I'll be thinking about the cafe incident entire time. So it's better if i go to work and keep myself occupied, maybe I misunderstood. Maybe the medicine played my mind? Yes that should be the reason.
I didn't even realise when did i reached as the whole drive from home to Cafe went with these thoughts trying to convince myslf .
Parking my car i entered the cafe and noticed people already started to coming and it's not surprising as our Cafe has light breakfast in menu too. I greeted everyone with a side hug and we started our day.
While I was serving to our customers I couldn't help but take glances of the door everytime I heard the bell. Slightly somewhere hoping to see someone specific.
I know I was convincing myself whole time that I might have misunderstood but I couldn't shake off the feeling I've inside my heart.
I just want to make sure. Jessi said he's regular customer which means he'd come today as well. I just have to wait patiently.
Cafe was filled with many people today since it's weekend everyone's coming here with their friends, partners and family members.
While I was serving someone my eyes caught a couple sitting at the table in the corner. They looked so in love that it made me smile at the sight. True love is really hard to get, some people can't keep it While some aren't even lucky enough to get that love in their life.
I was so engrossed in admiring them I didn't heard the cafe door opening and someone was standing by my side. I came out of my trans when I heard a throat clearning sound which made me look away from that lovely couple and look in the direction where the sound came from.
My breath hitched. There he was standing just few steps away from me. The person I was eager to see, the one I was waiting for ever since I stepped in here.
My heart started to beat fast so fast that I fear he might hear it too. He was wearing navy blue hoodie with Grey sweatpants. His brown hairs messy. Looking as handsome as always.
I tried to speak, I wanted to but I couldn't. As if I lost my ability to speak. Words just couldn't come out of my mouth.
We kept staring at each other. Non of us spoke, just like last time everything started to fade. I stopped hearing people around as if there's no one present but only us.
Both of us were just lost into each other's eyes as if we are talking without speaking. But soon our moment was interrupted by Beth (Elizabeth) . She shook my shoulder a little and I was forced to avert my gaze from his.
Everything came back to normal. People around us, their chatters which made me clear my throat a bit and I looked at beth who looked worries yet confused. I gave her a slight smile which turned out awkward, i gulped and looked away.
Liz looked like she wanted to say something but before she could, she was called by Rebecca and she had to leave but not before giving me a look that said 'will talk later' to which I gave her a nod.
Thank God Rebecca called her because I really had no idea what I'd say. I, myself have no idea about anything but for now I'm saved which made me sigh in relief. I'd think of something by the time I'll have to face her again.
But in all of this I actually forgot the presence of the person beside me. When I turned to look back at him he was already looking at me. Fuck I'm nervous as hell. Probably he understood I won't say anything so he decided to break the silence.
"Umm hey..." he said smiling a little at me. Shit !
"Umm hey..." I spoke trying to smile but sure ended up making things more awkward. See this is what i was talking about. God help me!
"Ahem I'm sorry for my unprofessional behavior sir please have a seat..." I spoke finally after gathering little courage. Thank God I didn't stutter. Phew !
"Sure and it's fine no problem..."he said while chucking. Damn !
"What would you like to have sir?.." I asked finally able to behave professionally.
"A latte with some cookies I guess..." he replied without looking at menu. Maybe this is regular.
"Sure sir anything else..?" I asked writing down.
"No that's all thank you.." he replied smiling which automatically made me smile in return. And with that I turned back to kitchen to take his order.
When I came back with his order his table was empty and he was nowhere to be found. Confused, I looked around in the cafe trying to catch a glimpses of him but couldn't.
Did he left ? But without his order? Maybe something urgent? While was trying to think of all the possibilities I didn't realise there was someone behind me until I felt a hand on my shoulder.
Starled by sudden touch I flinched and almost dropped the tray in my hand but the hand on my shoulder came in contact with my arm and took ahold of my hand, the one I was holding tray with.
Thankfully it's saved. Sighing in relief I turned back to see it's him. Shit he's still holding my hand which made my gulp at the sensation. I'm sure as hell going to faint, we were close.
When he followed the movement of my eyes he realised he's still holding my hand and left it with an apological smile. Damn... it's getting awkward again ugh!
"Sorry I had an important call so i went outside to take it. I didn't mean to scare you like that I'm really sorry..." he spoke looking genuinely guilty. Which made me smile.
"No its okay please don't say sorry sir. And I wasn't scared I was just ahem starled. Please take a seat..." I replied tucking some hair behind my ears.
"Thank you and please call me taehyung. That's my name, sir sounds too formal. What's your name if you don't mind..?" He asked taking a seat on his table where I served him.
"Your welcome si- I mean taehyung and my name is Angelina..." I replied smiling shyly.
"Angelina..." he repeated my name. "That's a very pretty name.." he complimented smiling to which I obviously smiled back, shyly!
"Thank you taehyung, so is your name.." I complimented back. And it brought a smile on his face.
He was going to say something more but unfortunately jessi beat him in it and called me for help. I gave him a smile last time and left from there. Gosh i wish I could stay there and talk more but alas, work calls !
The rest of the day passed just like that, in between I was forced by jessi to take a break to a little break to take my medicines. Well apparently Rob assigned jessi on this little duty to keep an eyes on me whicn is childish of him but I understand he's worried and he cares for me. It filles my heart with warmth.
Now it was time to close our cafe. Weekends are always extra busy. As usual we were cleaning the tables before we close. When I reached the table taehyung sat on I blushed immediately remembering our moment.
But Beth cleared her throat that made me turn towards her. There she stood with raised brow and arms crossed over her chest. Great, this is what I wanted to avoid but I know she won't let me go.
Shit what do I tell her ? Wait.. is there something to tell in the first place ? Why am I even panicking as If I'm caught stealing something. Damn it's stupid. But I frowned when she lift her hand in front of me with a tissue between her fingers.
"When I came to check on this table I found this here and guess what...?" She asked with smirk. "I was going to throw this in dustbin because I thought it's used. Well... that until something caught my eyes..." she said still with a smirk on her face.
Damn that smirk is annoying me now.. but what does it have in it ? Is it for me ? Did taehyung left it for me ? I need to know, I have to know. Gulping hard my saliva I looked at Beth with pleading eyes but she beat me in it.
"That dude who was sitting on table left his number for some ANGEL ..." she said with a teasing smirk , putting extra weight on angel.
But my mind was far gone wondering around. He- taehyung , my taehyung. OH MY GOD. He left his number for me? I was busy in my own bubble but how can I when I have a smirking Beth by my side ?
"Earth to Angelina..." she said waving her hand in front of my face. Teasing smile still lingering on her doll like face .
"Ahem.. umm.." I attempt to speak but noticing everyone circled around us made me stop. Huh..When did they came here ?
"Even I noticed them both staring and talking all shyly. I knew somethings gonna happen.." Jessi said teasingly smiling at me which made me look down to hide my smile.
"Look at her she's glowing.. " Rebecca said . Ugh what's their problem, stop teasing.
"Guys.. stop there's nothing..." I tried to shrugg it off.
"Right. I trust you Angelina.." Beth said while made me look at her surprisingly. I mean it was her who started it in the first place. "I think I'll just throw it since nobody wants it.." she said shrugging her shoulders, still having smile on her lips. Should've known she won't drop until I admit it.
"That would be rude..." I mumbled making them all look at me, waiting for me to say more. "I mean..." I tried to explain but I couldn't. Damn it, how do I ask for the tissue without sounding too eager.
I'm literally dieing to have it but it's in Beth's hand. Should I just snatch it ? Seriously Angelina? Ughhhhh .
"Alright alright I'll stop bothering now. Here you can have it. You want it so much its written all over your face..." Beth said Giggling and handing me the tissue I was so desperate to take the moment I knew about it.
"Ahem it's not like that..." I defend immediately .
"Well... the way you literally snatched the poor tissue from Beth's hands says the otherwise..." Rebecca teased making me slightly groan.
"Alright enough guys let's leave the poor girl alone now..." Jessi said chucking finally having mercy on me. And I thanked her with my eyes to which she gave me a wink.
Soon we all left for our own destination after saying goodbyes and yes Beth couldn't keep it shut till the last moment which annoyed me but I ended up smiling too. Thank God Carl left early today otherwise he'd make it more hard. I asked jessi not to mention anything to rob to which she agreed. The while drive to home felt so short.
Reaching home I kept my keys on table and went upstairs to freshen up after informing my arrival to mom. Smile never leaving my face. Soon dad arrived home too and we started having our dinner. Mom and dad were talking about their day while I was lost in my own world.
" Princess? What with this smile today ? You seem happy, something happened..?" Dad's voice brought me back to our dining room.
"Ahem I smile everyday dad. Nothing special happened..." I try to brush it off.
"Nuh uh baby you're literally glowing..." Mom said. God.. you can never hide from parents.
"Well... nothing special it's just my day surprisingly went good today..." I said hoping they'll drop it just here and to my fortune they did. Phew!
After I was done with my dinner I took my dishes and kept them in sink. Wishing mom dad good night and kissing their cheeks I made my way to my room.
Entering my room I locked my door and flopped myself in bed. Taking deep breathes for a few times I took the tissue out from under my pillow and dialed his number to save it. After saving it I sent him a text.
Fuck, I can't believe it. So it was not my meds messing my head nor I was seeing things. He was real,is real. I knew it those eyes were his.
Never in my wildest dreams I ever imagined I'd meet him for real let alone talking to him or having his number saved. Not to forget he, himself left it for me. It's so surreal. I just hope the next morning when I wake up I don't find out it was all dream.
Shit I even texted him. He gave me his number just today itself and I texted him as soon as I could. Damn it Angelina couldn't you hold it for a while ? What he'd think of you? I hope he doesn't take it wrong or too desperate.
I mean I was and am desperate but he shouldn't know. I should delete the text, yes.. he hasn't seen it yet. With that in my mind I went to his chat just to see he saw it and is now typing. Fuck I'm freaking out I don't wanna embarras myself, not in front him at least . Okay calm down.
