The rain is slowly starting again when the group is all packed up and getting in the car. Jimin feels heavy when he thinks about what happened in the tent earlier. Did he hurt Yoongi's feelings? He didn't mean to make Yoongi think he's interested in him in that way. Or... did he? At least he doesn't remember holding onto Yoongi on purpose during the night, he must have done that in his sleep. But he loved waking up like that, he loved holding Yoongi close and feeling his warmth... Ugh. Shit. Jimin returns his focus as he puts his backpack at the front seat of Hoseok's car and closes the door.
"Got everything?" Hoseok asks.
"Yeah." Jimin forces a smile.
"Alright. We should get going then, it's quite late already because we waited for the rain to stop. We'll drop the others off on the way to the airport."
"Cool. Thanks hyung." Jimin sighs. He's really going home soon.
"Ah, Yoongi, you're ready as well? We're about to leave..." Hoseok says while standing in the opening of his car door and taps on the roof of the car.
"Mmm, yeah. Just came to say goodbye." Yoongi says calmly while walking up to them.
"Alright. Oh, actually, why don't you drive Jimin to the airport? I'm going to drop these three off and all, so..." Hoseok suggests.
"Oh, sorry, I can't." Yoongi says simply, pursing his lips and looking down.
"Oh. Okay. Well, no worries, if you're busy... Anyway, thanks for joining us hyung! I'll just... well... I'll see you around." Hoseok taps on the roof of the car one last time, gets in and closes the door, leaving Jimin and Yoongi alone outside. Jimin takes a few steps towards Yoongi, feeling his heart pound in his chest.
"Hyung, I ehh... thanks for everything. Again. I was wondering... Could I..." Jimin wants to ask Yoongi if he can call him some time, but his nerves are stopping him.
"It's alright." Yoongi sighs and takes the last step to remove the space between them and wraps his arms around Jimin's neck. Jimin immediately wraps his arms around Yoongi's slim waist and eagerly pulls him closer. He doesn't want to let go. Is this really the last time he's going to see him? He feels a lump form in his throat.
"Goodbye, Jimin-ie." Yoongi whispers in Jimin's ear and pulls away. He looks at Jimin with his horizontal smile and softly brushes a lock of hair away from Jimin's forehead. The horizontal smile changes into an actual smile for a second, and then he takes a step back, turns around and walks away. Jimin is speechless. This felt like a real goodbye, not a 'see you somewhere some time' goodbye. He suddenly notices the rain has gotten heavier again as he watches Yoongi make his way to his car. He then slowly turns around and walks back to Hoseok's car, opens the door and takes one last look at Yoongi. He already got in his car. Alright. Bye then. Jimin gets in the car with a big sigh and closes the door. He feels a mixture of sadness and anger. He really just left like that? I mean, what else can he do really... but... that felt so cold. Although it also felt really sweet. That's something only Yoongi can achieve, being cold and sweet at the same time. Fuck. I already miss him.
"Ready, Jimin-a?" Hoseok asks kindly as he places his hand in Jimin's shoulder. Hoseok seems to know exactly what Jimin is feeling, it's like he can see right through him. It's kind of comforting.
"Mmm. Let's just go..." Jimin says while feeling tears well up.

After they dropped off Hoseok's friends they continue driving to the airport. The rain has gotten much heavier again, like last night. Jimin thinks it's quite fitting to his mood. He's looking out the window and trying not to think about the morning in the tent. Yoongi asked to kiss me. Did that really happen? Should I have said yes? Probably not. I'm leaving anyway...
"Jimin-a," Hoseok breaks the silence, "I'm sorry to ask you, but... did something happen between you and Yoongi? Last night you were having such a good time together and this morning he seemed... sad?"
"Mmm..." Jimin takes a moment to think about how much he wants to share with Hoseok. "I ehh... It's a bit complicated."
"You don't have to tell me anything, I'm just worried about you two. Maybe I shouldn't say this but... when I called Yoongi and told him about the camping trip and that you'd join, he said he really wanted to come to see you. He pretty much insisted on it. Not that I would have said no otherwise, I love having him around, but it felt like you two... Well, sorry, I shouldn't pry."
"Oh, I thought he said you invited him?"
"He said that yeah, but it was his idea. Maybe he felt a bit embarrassed about it."
"Mmm... actually, something did happen between us. I'm not sure what to think about it, or do about it, or what to feel... I'm... shit..." Jimin feels the tears rolling over his cheeks now.
"Oh Jimin-a, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have started this topic."
"It's okay. I trust you Hoseok. I'm... I'm very confused about my feelings for Yoongi, I've never liked a man like this before... I think I'm just very scared." Jimin says calmly while wiping away his tears with his sleeve. He feels a bit of relief now that he's able to say it out loud. "I think you even knew what I felt for him before I did..."
"Haha, I'm pretty good at picking up on that kind of stuff. I already knew Yoongi liked you when he called me about your location at the waterfall."
"Really? I thought he still kind of hated my guts back then..."
"Nah, I think he hated that he liked you." Hoseok smirks. The two stay silent for a moment, until Jimin continues,
"I wish I didn't have to say goodbye to him already. It really felt like he was saying goodbye to me forever." Another tear falls from his eye.
"Don't worry about that, Yoongi can be a bit dramatic. I'm sure he'd like to stay in touch." Hoseok tries to comfort Jimin.
"I hope so... I'd love to be his friend."
"Just... friends?" Hoseok asks bravely. Jimin purses his lips and fiddles with his sleeves.
"I don't know. Even though I can kind of admit my feelings for him now, I don't think I'm ready for... I don't even know if I should tell him about my feelings if I wouldn't be up for... more than friendship."
"Mmm, sure. It's a big thing you're going through mentally, possibly life-changing. It's totally acceptable to take your time to think about this." Hoseok nods and stays quiet for a moment, giving Jimin some time to continue if he wants, but he doesn't. "Well, Jimin-a, thanks for sharing all this with me. I really appreciate it."
"Thanks for listening. We don't even know each other that well..."
"Sometimes that's easier you know, talking with someone you don't know so well rather than close friends."
"Yeah, that's true actually."
