Looking around, alterna was never really a cold place, despite the fake snow and ice in some places. You looked back at the four, who were discussing what to do with you... except one was missing... where was the geared up inkling?
Suddenly, you feel a tap on your shoulder. Looking back, they're behind you, offering you a weapon, a hero equivalent to your favorite weapon.
"Welcome aboard," they say before the others can interject, and the pink inkling pipes up.
"Oh, does this mean they're joining? Yes!" She seems noticably more excited than her counterpart, the green one.
The other yellow inkling shrugs and says something to the green one, who nods.
"We should introduce ourselves... Well, I am Agent 2, this is our captain, thi-"
Agent 2 is interrupted by the pink inkling
"I'm agent 1, and thats agent 3!"
"I'm [Y/N]," You say, almost surprised it took this long to introduce yourself
"So does that mean we make them an agent too?" Agent 3 asks, and Agent 1 looks at 2 expectantly
"Not a lot of need for another agent-" she stops herself with a sigh, seeing Agent 1's defeated expression "But if we needed to... welcome to the new new squidbeak splatoon agent 7."
Agent 7? New new? Your confusion must've been noticable because agent 3 nudged you slightly
"Don't think too much about it," They say, quickly going up to the others and striking the same pose they are. You stumble onto your feet, seeing the odd display.
"So..." you ask what feels like the best question to ask first "What now?"
"Well since theres no immediate need for you to do missions..." Agent 2 takes out a kettle, putting it on the ground and activating it "We should see what you can do first." She holds out her hand for you to take something from it, a mindset similar to 3's
You take it and hop onto the kettle, turning into your octopus form, which is plush and warm, slipping in. You notice the name "Squidbeak splatoon training test," and when you put on the headset you hear Agent 2's voice
"We'll use this to watch your progress and speak to you through missions, so don't be surprised if we have something to say when you're out on the field."
You grab your new hero weapon and launch into the course, ready to prove yourself
The test was quite simple really, a few different jumps, some enemies(That were really just balloons for you to pop), over all quite basic stuff. Definitely easy compared to the work you used to do for Octavio.
Popping out of the kettle, Agent 3 takes you by the hand, dragging you off
"Wh- where are we going?" you trip over your words for a moment, shocked
"To see splatsville of course!" they answer
