The second week of Hogwarts was full of anticipation for every student, and whispers of Beauxbatons girls, and Viktor Krum. In an assembly on the Thursday, tables eagerly listened to Dumbledore's slow speech, and then the minister's reiterating the age limits, reiterating the importance of magical cooperation. The entire room was silent with desperation to meet the European witches and wizards they would be sharing their school with. When Dumbledore finally said Durmstrang, Elvira gripped Dorothea's hand and nudged her leg against hers excitedly.

"Oh my God, it's him!" She whispered as Viktor Krum walked past their table.

Dorothea noticed everyone in the room staring at Krum, even some of the boys with the same admiration and adoration as Elvira, she grinned as Pansy and Astoria whispered together, giggling as they pointed at various different boys, and she held a laugh back as she watched Draco Malfoy scoffing at the pair. Ezra had informed her that there were rumors of him being involved with both girls, which, for someone as egotistical as him, was hardly a surprise to the witch.

The Durmstrang boys sat on the Ravenclaw table, much to Elvira's disappointment, but being sure to create a clear boundary between them and the Hogwarts students, whom they stared at with a mixture of disgust and intrigue.

When Beauxbatons was announced, it was Dorothea's turn to grip her friend's hand, she ignored the bitchy whispers from girls around the hall, and grinned at how boys began to sit up straighter, holding in a laugh as she noticed Ron Weasley straightening his collar. As if.

She noticed Camille straight away, hair as blonde as her own, twirling towards the front of the hall, she sat up straight, and pointed her out to Elvira.

"God, you could be twins."

Dorothea grinned at that, craning her neck to make her cousin noticed her. She recognised a few of the other girls, too, from summers she had spent in France. She also knew of Fleur Delacour, the final student to walk in with Madame Maxine. Camille had never spoke of Fleur pleasantly, she was part veela, and incredibly accomplished. Truthfully, she was sure that was jealousy on Camille's part, but began to feel the same way towards the witch as she went to take a seat on the Hufflepuff table.

Fred Weasley could not believe his luck as a blonde Beauxabtons student approached their end of the table, he elbowed Lee to move down, and made room for the witch, who paused at the table edge.

"Excusez Moi?" She asked, smiling politely, completely missing where Dorothea was beckoning her. "Where is er- Slytherin," she pronounced.

"Just there," Ron chimed in, pointing over to a table, in awe.

George whacked his brother on the back of the head and leant forwards, "we're much more exciting than Slytherin."

"Yeah," Lee continued, there's room here-"

"Ah," Camille smiled, "very kind. I'm looking for my cousin- ah!" She exclaimed, turning her back on the Gryffindor table and skipping over to where Dorothea Rosier was stood up.

The Gryffindor table watched in disgust as the pair embraced.

"Just what this school needs, another bloody Rosier," George muttered, his eyes following the witch.

"Weren't you the one flirting with her a second ago?" Hermione asked, rolling her eyes at the boy.

"Before we knew she was a Rosier," Fred snapped, his head in his hands as a plethora of Beauxbatons girls crowded Dorothea, Priscilla, Leila, Lilith and Elvira.

"They do look quite alike," Ron said thoughtfully, glancing across at the two witches before smiling dreamily at Fleur Delacour.

"Dream on, dickhead," George said, whacking him again.

As soon as they were dismissed from the Great Hall, Dorothea linked Camille's arm and pulled her away from the crowds and into the castle's courtyard, pulling her into another hug.

"I missed you," she sighed.

"Me too," Camille said into her cousin's shoulder. "Home is weird."

"Why?"

"I don't know. Mother is struggling, I think. Now that Benjamin has also started Beauxbatons she is all alone. But of course, Aunt Clementine has always been alone."

Dorothea smiled and huffed, pulling away.

"Clementine is never alone," she said bitterly.

"We have a whole year to talk about Rosier problems," Camille smiled, "but first, you must show me around! I am so happy to finally see Hogwarts after years of your stories. It's beautiful."

A raven haired witch approached the pair, smiling at Dorothea.

"This is Manon," Camille said. "Manon Lestrange."

"Dorothea Rosier," the witch said politely, shaking the girl's hand.

"It is incredible here," she spoke in a heavy French accent. "My first time in England."

"I always thought Lestrange was an English name," Dorothea mused, "I have certainly heard it before."

"My mother was English, I do not see her. My father I do not know. I was raised in France, though."

"Manon wants to enter the tournament," Camille giggled, nudging her friend.

The dark haired witch shrugged, "why not? I would win."

"I don't doubt that, Manon, but we both know who will get it."

"Fleur Delacour," they said in unison, making Dorothea laugh.

"Will you enter?"Camille asked, looking back to her cousin with a smile.

"Fuck no," Dorothea said, shaking her head. "Not my thing at all."

"Me either," Camille sighed. "I'd rather take in this beautiful scenery without death on my mind."

The three witches laughed and Dorothea sighed as she checked her watch and saw that it was almost time for her evening patrol.

"I have prefect duties now, I'm afraid," she said, standing up.

"Non!" Camille complained, frowning. "I just got here!"

"I know, I know," she said and looked around the courtyard for any other prefects, she noticed Cedric, but he was who she was meant to patrol with. Dorothea internally groaned at the sight of the Gryffindor boys from her own year. "I can try and change," she sighed, smiling back at her cousin. "Talking to Gryffindors for you," she said, shaking her head, marching over to where Fred Weasley sat with Oliver Wood and Lee Jordan.

"Wood," she said, completely ignoring the other two. "Do you think you could take my patrol tonight?"

"Missing a word, Rosier," Fred grinned.

Dorothea ignored him and stared hopefully at Wood.

"I-"

"Ollie," Fred began. "She's missing a word."

The witch rolled her eyes and smiled falsely at Fred, before turning back to Oliver and saying "please."

"Who's it with?" The Gryffindor captain asked.

"Diggory," she replied.

"Oh yeah, fine. Sure. Can you take mine on Friday, then?"

"With?"

"Nott."

Dorothea smiled, "of course."

Just as she turned around to return to Camille and Manon Fred Weasley said her name.

"Rosier."

She turned around, "what?"

"How'd you enjoy the quidditch world cup?"

Dorothea understood the insinuation immediately, Fred wasn't smiling, in fact, he was looking at her with more hatred than he ever had, she knew his father had trouble with her mother after the wizarding war, but she was never certain of the details. Her mother hated the Weasleys because they were below her, and the Weasleys hated the Rosiers out of jealousy.

She didn't justify the wizard with a response, and instead turned on her heel, rolling her eyes to return to Camille who giggled,

"He spoke to me earlier, I asked him where Slytherin was."

"He's fit," Manon said, staring at the Gryffindor boy.

Dorothea grinned, "well, he hates Rosiers, and I'd wager he also hates Lestranges, so good luck, ladies."

Manon leant back and crossed her arms, raising a hand to wave at Lee Jordan, "sounds like a challenge."

"Is it wise," Oliver started, "asking her that outright about it?"

"Yeah, your dad seems like he's genuinely concerned, like he genuinely believes they're up to something." Lee continued as they watched the blonde witch return to two Beauxbatons girls.

"They are up to something," Fred snorted. "Wasn't a random bloody attack was it, you saw the papers, the sky-"

"Well if it is the same people as before," Oliver said, whacking Lee with a textbook as he waved at one of the girls Dorothea was sat with, "is it wise to be provoking her daughter?"

Lee laughed, "come off it, she's harmless."

"I'm just saying," Oliver shrugged.

"Clementine Rosier was one of them who vanished, dad said."

"They probably just apparated with the minister."

Fred shook his head, "Lucius Malfoy and Draco did. No one knows where Clementine Rosier, Barnaby Nott or Crabbe and Goyle Sr went."

"Well, you said you saw Rosier leave, with Jones."

Fred huffed, "yes, she did bloody leave, I'm not saying she did it, am I?"

"Relax-" Lee started, distracted by the sight of George running across the courtyard, clutching a vial in his hand, Fred jumped up, an identical grin on his face, holding his hand out.

"Finished?" Fred asked.

"Finished." George replied.

The two grinned at each other and hurried away from their friends, muttering quietly and leaving Lee and Oliver dumbfounded.

"Two of them?" Camille grinned, watching Fred and George.

"Unfortunately," Dorothea replied.

The witch laughed, smoothing her skirt as Cedric Diggory waved at Dorothea, who reluctantly returned it, a confused expression on her face.

"How's Clementine?" Camille asked.

The witch laughed dryly, "wouldn't know, hardly saw her all summer."

"You went to the quidditch world cup with her, I thought?"

"Oh and I'm sure that was a wonderful day out," Manon joked.

"She let me bring a friend, brought Elvira, mum couldn't stand her, was awful to her."

"Why?" Camille asked.

"She's mugg- not pureblood, I think she lives with a muggle out of term time," Dorothea said quickly, not missing how Manon had raised an eyebrow with a slight smirk. "Anyway, she spent most of her time with Barnaby Nott, hardly saw her. Didn't see her in the couple of days after either."

"I'm sorry," Camille said, looking sadly at her cousin.

"Don't be, I'm used to it."
