K-pop Industry. A promising industry. An industry currently experiencing mass success both overseas and within Korea.
But all success comes with equivalent cons. The ridiculous standards and expectations one must meet to achieve their goals, the constant criticism from perfectionists, the demand.
Say a person does stay motivated throughout and makes it out as an idol, what are the chances they remain relevant or even in the mainstream industry?
We hear about idols debuting every other day, but have you ever noticed, that unless they come from the big three, or big four, it never really reaches us?
Of course, one would be a fool to not appreciate the talents flooding in with each debut of major companies, but what of those uncut diamonds stashed aside because they couldn't afford a bigger company?
Well, that is until one company decided to take a different route. As lousy as it may seem, if you get benefitted in the end, why bother?
