Kendra finished installing her brand-new back windshield, which Ben and Glen bought to make up for breaking her old one. "How did you two manage to buy this in only a week?" Kendra asked turning to face the cousins. "Oh, I dipped into the money I save up from chores, plus I helped out with some work around the neighborhood," Ben said and smiled at Kendra. "I just asked for an increase in my allowance." Glen shrugged and then stood up.
"Anyway," Glen wrapped his arm around Kendra's shoulder. "I still have plenty of money, let's go to the mall and buy you a nice dress for the dance," he said. Kendra frowned and brushed Glen off, "Glen, I don't want to go to some school dance." Kendra said and Glen frowned before walking away. Kendra sighed and looked down at her red string. Ben frowned and sat beside Kendra and looked down at his string.
"So, ...I got some more info from Grandpa Max," he said. Kendra smiled and looked over at Ben. "Turns out that weapon auction was only one of many, and it goes pretty deep," Ben said and pulled out a file from inside his jacket. Kendra took the file and began looking it over as Ben talked. "These auctions are just a cover-up for something big going on behind the scenes, universal destruction big." Kendra frowned and closed the file. "Grandpa said he and the other plumbers have it covered and don't want us to get involved unless need be." Ben finished and Kendra raised a brow. "He doesn't want us to get involved but he gave you the file." Ben pursed his lips and avoided eye contact.
Kendra giggled and leaned closer to Ben "It's cute when to accidentally call yourself out." Kendra kissed Ben's cheek and then stood up. Ben was frozen with a deep blush on his cheeks and did not move until to door into the house opened and shut.
Ben jumped up from his seat and began dancing around the garage. "She called me cute!" Ben pumped his fist in the air and kept dancing. Ben heard the door opening again and quickly stopped dancing, quickly leaning against Kendra's workable. Kendra stepped back into the garage, "C'mon, let's go for a drive." Kendra said and hopped in the driver's seat through the open window. Ben smiled and hopped in as well.
Kendra pulled out of the garage and began driving down the street. Silence settled and Ben rolled down the window letting in a cool breeze. Kendra just drove around and both she and Ben enjoyed the silence.

"Here, strawberry and peach, your favorite," Ben said as he handed Kendra a smoothie. "Thanks, Ben." Kendra took the cup and began drinking the smoothie while responding to Glen's text. "He bugging you about going to the dance with him again?" Kendra nodded and set her phone down but it buzzed with Glen's response. Kendra reached for her phone but Ben grabbed her hand, "Tell him yes." he said.
Kendra looked confused, Ben never encouraged her to go out with Glen. "Glen isn't gonna let up on this, so if you go out with him it'll get him off your back," Ben said and let Kendra's hand go. "Yeah...I guess your right." Kendra grabbed her phone and responded to Glen and he responded positively. "Now we gotta get you a dress," Ben said and Kendra shook her head. "My mom knows how to sow, she and I can make me a dress together." Kendra smiled and sipped her smoothie. Ben nodded and silence settled over the two.
Ben looked at his hand and looked at his red string. Ben then let his eyes trail to Kendra's hand and looked at her red strings. Kendra's life was hard enough when she was younger, and it can't get any easier now that she had to figure out who she wanted to be with. "Wanna go see a movie?" Kendra looked at Ben and shrugged, "Nothing better going on." Ben and Kendra finished their smoothies and tossed their cups.
Before Ben and Kendra could even make it a step away from the trash can and nearby car blew up. "Whoa!" a masked figure hovered above the now flaming car on a hoverboard. "New plan!" Ben dialed into the Omnitrix and transformed into a Big chill. Kendra ran and jumped in her car and followed after Ben and the masked figure. Kendra followed Ben and the figure and watched as the two fought in mid-air.
"Better give him a hand." Kendra pressed a button and a few of her car's weapons showed. Kendra aimed and fired a missile, knocking both Ben and the figure down. "Crap Ben!" Kendra slammed her brakes before she hit Ben and quickly got out. "Ben, I'm sorry!" Kendra rushed over and leaned over Ben, examining him, "Are you okay?" "III'll be fiiiine," Ben whispered before he transformed back.
"That is an amazing car." Ben and Kendra looked over and saw the masked figure sitting up. "I teach it out," Kendra said and absorbed the ground beneath her, "Who are you?" Ben and Kendra towered over the figure. "I'm just a pawn in the game," he said then pulled out a blaster. "Kendra!" A pink mana shield appeared protecting Kendra and Ben from the blast. The smoke cleared and the figure was gone.
"Kendra." Glen rushed over and pulled Kendra into a hug. "I'm fine, Glen." Kendra returned the hug and then pulled away. "I'll tell Grandpa about this," Ben said and pulled out his phone. "You two go ahead and head home, I'll fly home as one of my aliens," he said and Glen and Kendra nodded.
Glen and Kendra got in her car and began driving. As Kendra drove Glen took one of her hands off the steering wheel and held it tight. "I'm really glad you said yes," he said and squeezed Kendra's hand. "We are gonna be an amazing couple." Glen then brought Kendra's hand to his lips and kissed it. Blushing deeply Kendra pulled her hand away, "Glen, listen." Kendra stopped at a red light and looked over at Glen. "Me agreeing to go to the dance with you doesn't mean I'm choosing you," Kendra said.
Glen chuckled and leaned close "After the most amazing night of your life, you will." Glen then pecked Kendra's lips. Kendra blushed and quickly looked back to the road, the light turned green and she floored it. Kendra got to Glen's house as fast as possible and kicked him out of her car."You tend to act like Morningstar and that isn't a good thing." Kendra said before speeding off.
