After 6 months, Shen Wei started his PhD and Yunlan was promoted to manager position in his work. Yunlan enters the house a bit late and sees Shen Wei pacing back and forth in the room holding the sleeping baby on his shoulder as he was searching something on his phone.
Yunlan quickly comes and holds his daughter in his arms. He kissed her cheeks and placed her in her cradle
"Are you tired?" Yunlan then turned back towards him "How can I, Yunlan? She is weightless and also she reminds me of my caring husband. I feel that you are hugging me!" Shen Wei pinch Yunlan's cheeks and smiles while wrapping his delicate arms around his neck
"So cheesy!! My wife start knowing how to flirt, huh?" Yunlan smiles back at him, holding Wei's waist. Shen Wei chuckles and peck his lips
"Hugging like this?" Yunlan turns him and back hugged him "Yeah... you and your daughter are same!" Wei replied leaning back at Yunlan's chest "We can't live without you. You are our oxygen, our heart, our lifeline.." Said Yunlan and kissed his neck
"Yeah, yeah now leave me and take rest. Let me bring food for you" Shen Wei tried to remove his hands from his belly.
"Stay like this, my tiredness runs away already when I see you both" Yunlan tightens his hold and they stays like this.
In another house Shen Wei's father was worried about something as he was looking at a gift box in front of him with love and worried expressions
"Everything is okay?" His wife comes and sits beside her husband "Whose gift is this?" She asked curiously "I bought this for our Shen Wei. I didn't gift him anything. I want to gift him as he forgives a cruel father like me and also to congratulate them for our grand daughter" Mr. Shen said his thoughts and his wife smiles.
"Then what is problem here, it's good that his father thinks about all this" She holds his hand "I am worried if he rejects it!" Wei's father said with tention and worry "I don't know let's go to visit them and you will say whatever you feel while giving his gift and I'm missing my grand daughter too... it's almost a week that I didn't see her!" She was so polite while speaking and this makes Mr. Shen laugh
"My little angel! I cannot wait to hold her on my chest" Both smiles looking at her picture
The next morning, after the breakfast, both gets ready to visit Shen Wei. After some time they comes and sees Yunlan was also ready for going to work. Seeing his father and mother-in-law, he stops and greets them. Mr. Shen heard crying and barged inside,
"Why she is crying?" Shen Wei's mother asks after coming in with Yunlan "Nothing mom, she cried daily like this when her father gets ready to go out!" Shen Wei told while hugging her. But now she was calm in her grandfather's arms. She signs her husband and picks the baby
Mr. Shen goes out and comes back holding the gift box. He looks at both Yunlan and Shen Wei and extends the gift to Yunlan
"I bought this for Shen Wei... I hope you don't mind and I want you to give this to him with your hands!"
"What is it dad?" Shen Wei asks "It's for two things.. first for forgiving me and second for cherishing our lives with this light (their daughter).. Please accept it"
Yunlan smiles, seeing hesitation on his face, and he pats his shoulder "He's your son, no one is allowed to stop you from giving him anything.. Give it to him with your own hands. I am no one to come between father and son's love!"
He said gently and Mr. Shen hugs him very tightly then kissed his forehead. "Okay, I'm getting late. You enjoy with your naughty granddaughter" Yunlan said, they all laugh and Yunlan exits the scene. Shen Wei takes the gift and opens it. He gets happy seeing a latest version of laptop.
"Thank you dad, I need it so much" Shen Wei happily hugs him "I was thinking to demand it from you," He added and his father feels good. All his fears were gone now "You can demand anything, Shen Wei, whatever I have, it just belongs to you, son" His father repeatedly kissed his face
Time skipped
Shen Wei was now working as a senior professor in a prestigious university. They shifted to a better home, not with Shen Wei's money or his father's. But Yunlan bought a new house for his family with his own hard work. Their daughter grows three and half years old. She was smart and talkative girl.. She spends the day with her grandparents until her parents returns.. she often go to market with her grandma and sometimes to her grandfather's office but today Shen Wei and Yunlan were making her ready because her grandparents were going for a marriage ceremony of a relative
Baby girl was so excited "Zhao Min, don't bother your papa, okay?" She claps and giggles, "Okay!" Yunlan then straightens towards Shen Wei "If she makes things hard for you, just give me a call.. I will be there" Yunlan caresses his face "Yeah, sure, take care, hubby!" Shen Wei teased him and Yunlan looks down at his daughter then kissed Shen Wei's lips.
He pressed his lips on other's and sucks his lower lip. Shen Wei widens his eyes and pushed him back "The reply for your teasing, pretty wifey,!"
Shen Wei turns red in no seconds and looks down with a smile. Their daughter was unaware as she was busy tearing an old book of her papa "Another one has been done" Yunlan said and points at the paper pieces and bends to kiss her cheeks
Then he kissed Shen Wei's forehead before going out. He takes a taxi and leaves the car for him. Shen Wei picks her up in his arms and sighs "What you did, huh?" He points at the torn book. She hugs her papa
"I did nothing. There is something in my hands. They tear the books, Papa!!"
Shen Wei laughs on her words "What is in your hands?" He asks her "My hands are superhero" She replied
"Superhero saves everyone not ruin them" Shenwei picks up the keys and walks out "Okay, I will save everyone" She again hugs his neck "Don't save anyone just stop your hands with your superpowers" Shen Wei sat and made her sit on the front seat with him "Okay," She agrees and Shen Wei drives with chuckles
When they entered the university, all the students were eyeing her as she was walking, holding his finger "Professor, she is your daughter?" One of the girls from the group asked "Yeah," Shen Wei replied shortly with a smile, and she cutely hugs his leg
"Aww!" They all were smiling and wants to touch her, but she was getting scared. and trying to hide herself "Papa pick me!" She opened her arms and he picked her in his arms "Excuse us.." Shen Wei smiles and left
"I have a class in half an hour. Be a good girl and control your hands... Remember you have superpowers in your fingers!"
Wei said while sitting beside her on the sofa in his office "Yes, Papa, I have superpowers" She replied looking at her fingers "Yes, yes..!" He kissed her cheeks and goes to sit on his chair. He start preparing and checking his lectures. "Papa Juice," She said from the sofa as she was really holding her tiny hands from tearing something
Shen Wei's eyes suddenly fell on the same group of girls who meets them on the entrance. They were looking at her with adorable eyes. He smiles and starts doing his work again
"Papa, listen to me, give me juice!"
She said cutely "Not now baby!" He said without looking at her. She jumps down and walks closer to him
"What happened?" Shen Wei asks her "I want to sit in your lap" She was making little jumps trying to reach her desired place and he pulled her into his lap "Happy now!"
