You're probably thinking from the title of this chapter that Tom died, no, they're not dead. I'll spare you that grief.
RECAP (Just in Case)
Tom and Tord had now been dating for two months, Tom had been to the doctor more often and it's worrying Tord. Tom told Tord they were going to the bathroom, to really give themself a vaccine for who knows what ? Tom accidentally bumped (literally) into Eduardo (stereotypical bully) and got funny business.
Tord came over to help Tom out, but as Tom tried to pull Tord and themself out of the situation, Eduardo pulled out a pocket nif and oofed Tom's entire left arm. Blah Blah Blah, Eduardo and Tord got into a fight GRRRRRRRR, and Tom was passed out. Teachers came out and Edd and Matt watched as Tom was taken by 911. Eduardo got expelled and Tord got suspended for two weeks.
Anyways, on with the story.
From what I heard from Matt, Tom had been in the hospital for about three weeks. I wasn't able to visit them, nor were Matt and Edd... Because Tom didn't want anyone there. I'm getting really worried. Tom was staying with Matt's mom and the Bowling Ball being supported afterwards.
I hope they're alright, because today's the day they come back to school. The day of the fight before Tom left, they handed me their sketchbook and said "Thank you.." I was kind of shocked being handed it but smiled and accepted it anyways.
I was waiting at school with Edd and Matt. We were waiting for our first class to start so we were just chilling.
"Do you think Tom is going to be alright?" I was worried. "That was a pretty big cut, they're probably going to be in a lot of pain for a while." Edd spoke.
"Tim is a tough little fella, they're going to be just fine, don't worry Todd!" Matt said, smiling at me.
Then, guess who walked through the door..
Nobody! Because if someone walked through the door that would hurt. But guess who walked through the doorway. (Hehe I used to love those books) Tom! I ran over and hugged my beanie. I then realised something major changed.. Edd and Matt noticed too.
Tom had no hair, or left arm. I was heartbroken. Where their arm used to be was a wrapped up sleeve.
"T..Tom?" I started to tear up. They pat my back with the remaining arm they had. Is that why they gave me the sketchbook? Did they know this would happen? What happened to their hair? ARE THEY OKAY?!
"It's okay.." They smiled a little at me. Edd and Matt hugged the bean. I just hugged them tighter.
"What h..happened..? Are you o..okay..?" I was shaking. Tom nodded, and walked to their seat. The teacher came over and patted me on the back. He then led me to my seat as I tried to calm down.
-Time skip to when they go outside because I have no life and y'all want this story to move on-
Me and Tom met up in the same place like always. They had their backpack of art supplies, waiting for me to sit down. I had a lot of things on my mind at the moment, especially the question "How can Tom even draw without their left hand.?"
I sat down and gently smiled at Tom, they smiled a little back at me. I took out the sketchbook, and they opened up their art supplies. Tom looked at me, and handed me the backpack. I just looked at the backpack, staring like a creep, once again. I then looked back at Tom.
"Tom, I can't take this, you probably spent so much money on this art supplies.." I said quietly. "It's okay... my perspective is over.. It's your turn now.."
I sat there for a second, then nodded and took a pencil out to start drawing. Tom watched me as I drew, leaning against me. I guess they're getting used to physical contact.
