Thea
Mason is already peeling off my clothes when we enter his apartment again. He is still holding me up, and as he has been doing so, I have been kissing him. Mason had been enjoying it, giving me a few grunts when I teased him at the neck.
Now, we are standing in his living room as he peels off my shirt. Then he slides me down from him and then grabs at the waist of my pants. He is unbuttoning my pants, and I'm clawing at this shirt. I didn't want his clothes on anymore; I wanted him to be naked in front of me.
Mason grunts when I place my hand on the waist of his pants. "Baby, wait," he whispers, and then he grabs my hand and pulls me toward his bedroom. He moves me closer to him and says, "We need a shower."
"Together," I say to him with a hopeful smile.
"You know it," he whispers against my lips and then plops a kiss there. Then his hands go to my torso as he tries to touch me in a delicate way. So soft and so lingering.
"Thea, before we go any further," he says to me, his eyes finding my own. I had to tear my gaze away from his chest, but his face was pretty enough as well. He places a hand on my waist and says, "We are doing this for real, okay?"
"Okay," I say, and Mason nods, moving his head down. He places a kiss on my chest and then looks back at me. "And when I say that, I mean you have to remember every detail of this."
"Okay," I say again.
Mason grins and says, "That means you have to remember the way I'm about to touch every inch of your skin." I'm nodding, worried my breathing has gone too breathy to speak out loud. Mason moves closer to me and says, "I need you to remember everything about tonight, okay?"
"Why?"
Mason runs a hand up my torso, causing for goosebumps to go through me. He looks down at me with a glint in his eyes as he says, "Because I remember every detail of that night, and it's killing me that you cannot remember how good you were to me."
"I was good to you?" I ask him with a smirk.
He nods, grabbing my hand and then placing a kiss on my palm. "You did me so well that I wonder if you would be able to do it again."
"I can try," I say in a teasing manner.
Mason nods, and then looks down at me with a different look. He was looking at me with full lust as he asks, "So you'll remember everything about tonight?"
"Yes, Mason, I will," I promise with a hand on his hammering heart.
Mason grins and then pulls me even closer as he whispers, "Good girl." It's done in a dirty manner, in a way that Mason would never speak to me outside of his bedroom, but it feels so good. I could hear him speak to me this way every day and not grow tired of it. He had a very attractive voice.
Mason then places my hand back on his pants and says, "Come on. We've got things to do."
I practically jump into his arms as I say, "Yeah, we do."
Mason doesn't give me any more time until he is kissing me in a way that tells me he is ready to take me. And so am I. I have been waiting for this long enough.
🖤
"Holy, you have gotten good at this," I tell Mason when he moves off of me. He moves his head toward mine and throws me the laziest smile he can. He lies on his back, his chest moving up and down like mine.
Mason grabbed my hands and interlaced them. "I know."
"Ego much?" I whisper to him in a teasing manner. He laughs; the sound is so beautiful in the quiet of the room. Then he grins even brighter as he says, "No, baby. That was you." His eyes are nothing but happy when he says, "The last time we did this, you wouldn't shut up about how good I had gotten."
"Really?"
"Yeah," Mason whispers. He moves his head closer to mine and says, "Wouldn't stop moaning my name and telling me how your fiancé had never done you so well."
My cheeks heat up from that line. I hadn't known that I had said all of that to him the last time we slept together. If I did, it was because of the honesty of a drunk person. Liam had never made me feel as good as Mason did, only a minute into our shower. I had never known that I could feel certain ways with just him touching me. He was good at what he was doing now. He never failed to make me feel as though I could get lost in him tonight.
"Oh," I say, and Mason pulls back and gives me a look. "Your fiancé had actually never done you so well?"
I blink, not knowing he would've asked me that question. Mason was looking at me like he really wanted answers, so I shook my head. Then I grin and say, "Liam had never gotten me off from just using his fingers."
"Really?"
"Yeah," I say with a smile. "We've never done any of the other things we tried tonight."
"Why?"
I shake my head, suddenly aware that I am talking about my past sexual life. But Mason wasn't here to judge, and why would that even matter? I press a hand to my eye and say, "We never really had much sex."
Mason looks at me with a frown. I only smile at him, and he says, "Well, that's no fun." He moves on top of me again and says, "I definitely want to hear you make noises of excitement when we do this more often."
I can't help but smile. Then I say, "You know how to make me feel good."
"Only what you deserve," he says, leaving a kiss on my collarbone.
I place a hand in his hair and tug on it. He looks up at me sheepishly, and I say, "What? I didn't make you feel good?"
Mason gives me the biggest grin as he looks down at me. He places a hand on the side of my face as he says, "Oh, baby, you made me feel things I wasn't even aware of feeling."
I can't help but move up and press a kiss on his lips. Mason starts to pick up after we left off, but I'm tired for the night. I place a hand on his cheek and touch him. Mason doesn't show me annoyance as he asks, "Tired?"
"Yeah," I whisper. Then I press another kiss to his lips and say, "We can do this again tomorrow."
"If you want," Mason says with a smile, and I press another kiss to his lips. He moves off me and falls onto his back. I watch as he looks up at the ceiling and whispers, "That was too good."
Mason was too good for me. I look away from him and then head to the bathroom. After doing my business, I return to pick up my clothes. I put on my undergarments and then picked up the shirt that I had on today. Once I'm dressed, I move toward the exit of his bedroom.
I head into the kitchen and grab myself a bottle of water. I chug it and then take a seat at the counter, my mind filled with the memories of today. I wish I had felt as amazing as I did right now last time, if I remembered. Remembering Mason was an exciting thing to do. I loved to look back on the memories of him and the smiles he sent me. He was my favorite memory after my family.
I remembered him a lot.
But not like this. This was a version of Mason that I liked as well. I liked him even if I was so much older and had gone through more. Mason wasn't incapable of growing with me. I believed that we could find ourselves in love again.
I hear footsteps behind me, and a moment later, an arm is thrown across my shoulder. Mason moves his head to rest it on my shoulder, then moves his other hand to move the fabric of my bra away. Then he cups my breast in his hand as if it were natural. "Hi, baby," he whispers to me.
I smile at him and turn to look at him. He gives me a smile, and I ask, "What are you doing here?"
"I was waiting for you," he tells me with a frown. Then he searches my face for something as he says, "I was waiting for you to come back to bed with me."
I give him a frown and say, "I told you I was tired."
Mason looks appalled as he moves his head back. His eyebrows pull together as he says, "Not to have sex again, but to fall asleep together."
The sentiment makes me want to cry. I had emotional thoughts for some reason. I think it was because of the fact that we were together again. I had missed him for a long time. I didn't think the idea of being with him would come true.
Mason places his thumb at my eye and wipes at it. "Why are you crying, Thea?"
I press my head against his chest, feeling my heart flutter with the way he was caressing my breast. I look at him with a small smile and say, "You."
Masom starts to pull away from me entirely, his hand moving off my face and the other from my chest. But I grab his hand back and let him cup my breast again. It felt good, and I liked the tint of a smile on his face.
I place a hand on his face and look up at him. "You're just so good to me," I whisper, then make myself tear up more. Mason only looks at me, like that sentence couldn't be true enough. I contorted after seeing the emotion in my throat. "I haven't had someone fall asleep with me in a while."
"Oh," Mason whispers. Then he squints his eyes at me as he leans in closer. "But what about Liam?"
I want to laugh at how oblivious I was to my fiance pulling away from me. "He used to fall asleep after me and wake up before. We hadn't fallen asleep together in a while."
"Not even after sex?"
I sigh and look at him with a shake of my head. "That's if we had sex. I told you, it was rare."
"Well, I'm sorry," Mason whispers to me, and then presses a kiss on my temple.
I smile at that and then frown. "When we slept together before you didn't fall asleep with me."
Mason is quiet for a long moment before he tears his eyes on the counter. Then he says, "We were having a good time. You were as well. But then you said something that immediately made me pull away."
"What did I say?" I asked, scared that I had said something bad.
Mason wipes a hand on his face and then says, "You said that you were glad that we were doing this because you wouldn't remember it."
Oh.
Oh.
That made sense. It made sense why Mason had slept on the couch. It made sense why Mason seemed pissed at me the next day. He didn't like my comment.
"I thought it could have been a step in our relationship," Mason says quietly. His eyes come back to my face as he says, "I thought you genuinely wanted to kiss me and do everything else in between. I was glad for it. I asked you seriously if you wanted to go home while you and I had been at the bar." His lips pull down in a frown as he says, "Then you said that, and it was. Well, it was hard on me."
"I'm sorry," I whisper to him. Then I put my hand back on his face and brought it close to me. He gives me a sad smile, and I say, "I'm sorry, Mason. I wish that I could remember it."
"You don't need to," Mason says, shrugging me off. I only pull him closer and say, "But I do. Yours is my favorite memory, Mason. I want to remember you forever."
"Oh my God," Mason whispers to me. He wipes at his eyes and then chuckles. "Why are we so emotional?"
"Because we are finally getting our time back," I say with a smile. "We are filling out the empty spaces in our timeline."
Mason breaks in front of me, and a second later, his head is on my shoulder. He holds me tighter against him and presses his hand against my chest. I jolt up and ask, "Is that your favorite part of me?"
"Mhm," Mason murmurs, moving his head down to press a kiss to my left breast. I laugh and the sound vibrating against our bodies. He pulls his head up to my face and kisses my lips. "I like these as well."
"Hm."
"I do," he says. He presses another kiss to my lips and then says, "Honest."
I trace the shape of his lips with my finger and say, "I love your lips as well."
Mason agrees with me with a chuckle, and I laugh. He squeezes my breast, and I laugh harder. "You know, when I get pregnant, they will only get better."
Mason pulls away from me. His hand from my breast moves off, and his head isn't close to mine anymore. He looks at me with widened eyes. Mine widens as well, and I'm backtracking. "No, I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."
Mason only raises an eyebrow at me. I place a hand on his chest and say, "I should've asked. Do you want kids?"
Mason's face breaks out into the biggest grin. "Oh, yes."
"Really?"
Mason smiles even harder, "I love them. God, I have baby fever almost every day."
I feel myself smiling as I look at him. Mason wanted kids, and that made me smile so hard. I thought that Liam and I would be married and not have kids. I thought my life would end there, but Mason was talking about us having kids, and that made me smile. I loved kids, and hearing him talk of them the same way was exciting.
"Same," I whisper, and then tilt my head to get a better look at him. "But why did you react that way?"
"Oh," Mason says, almost now realizing he did that. Then he nods when the thought comes to him and says, "Oh, you said when, not if. I got scared of that."
"Oh," I say, and then give him a smile. I wrap my legs around his waist and say, "Why? You don't want to have kids with me?"
"Well," Mason says, at a loss. Then he chuckles and says, "Not now."
I trace a heart on his own and say, "But soon?"
"Why?"
I laugh, throwing my bead back, and then say, "Oh because, I have a bigger baby fever than you."
"Is that so?" Mason whispers again on my lips. Then he hoists my body up to him and brings our lips together. I'm laughing hard when he moves us to the bedroom. He gives me a peck as he says, "Then let's go test that."
"Mason!" I scold with a laugh.
"Kidding," he says with a laugh, and I close my eyes against it. He moves my hair off my face and whispers, "My baby is sleepy. I'm just going to take us to sleep, okay?"
"Okay," I murmur into his neck, and Mason holds me tight as he takes me into his bedroom. I've never felt so comforted by the aspect of falling asleep next to someone—on someone. It was comforting around Mason, and I loved that.
