Blaire POV:
"Why the hell would you teach her that?!"
"Did you forget she's 7?!"
"What the hell?!"
Crimson and Xander yelled repeatedly at Hunter, but he just sat in the corner snickering. In fact, the more he ignored them, the more annoyed they got to the point they turned on each other.
Blaire suddenly became fearful, unsure if she had made a mistake. All she had wanted was a dog. And ice cream. She slinked back in her chair wishing it would swallow her whole and get her out of here.
Better than Mike though, much better than Mikes treatment. She reminded herself of that daily, of how lucky she was. She had never felt so clean and wanted in her whole life. Granted, that's only 7 years, but to her morally huge heart it meant the world.
Hunters voice shot her back to reality.
"Jesus guys, you're both in the mafia and freaking out about a seven year old swearing? We've become softies. The seven year old who looks like she is scared for dear life, might I add," He spoke to both of them, somehow managing to shame them when he's the one who did the shameful act.
Xander even flushed red a bit, which made Blaire laugh and hunter ruffle his hair, causing another mini brawl to break out between them.
Crimson however, not so happy.
"Hunter, you realize the ball is nearing and we need to be presentable. A seven year old swearing isn't presentable!" He exclaimed. Blaire was shocked. He never showed that kind of panic. Crimson's panic made Blaire panic. Xander has a curious look on his face.
Swearing. That must be what the words Hunter taught her mean. From the looks of Crimsons reaction, she assumed it was bad.
"Since when did you get so serious? You don't even know what she was trying to say," Hunter replied mockingly while pushing Xander's head down.
That turned both Crimson and Xander's still down head.
"Blaire, you said you wanted something. Can you say it in 'presentable' words?" Xander mocked, earning a glare from Crimson.
"Hey, don't shoot the messenger," grinning while ducking as Crimson tried the hit him on the head.
Blaire sniffled. "W-well, all I wanted was ice cream. A-and a dog."
Crimsons features softened, and Hunter decided that was the perfect time to piss his brother off.
"Don't worry about your car, just taking it out for a joy ride!" Hunter yelled as the door shut behind him.
"Hunter, I swear to god if you get another scratch on my Porsche I'll give you a fate worse than death!" Crimson threatened darkly before following.
Meanwhile, Xander just smiled like an idiot watching. Then he realized he wasn't the only one in the room. His grin only got bigger.
"You said you wanted ice cream and a dog right?"
"Y-yeah."
"Follow me then," he singsonged as he made his way out the back door.
How many doors does this house have? Too many, far too many for Blaire's smart yet little brain to comprehend.
However, the mention of ice cream and a dog got her jumping up and down in excitement.
"Ok!" she squealed and followed.

Xander POV:
It wasn't too long before they made it to the ice cream shop. In fact, it had barely been five minutes as Xander had destroyed the pedal to his Lamborghini. Blaire wanted, he delivered.
She ordered a pastel purple swirled ice cream, otherwise known as cotton candy. A bit girly, but otherwise a pretty colour. Xander got the same.
Dog time!

Time skip
He had to admit, the way her smile widened and her face lit up when she saw the ice cream was adorable. He never saw the little princepessa smile like that at school. Then again, school is a death trap. Anyone who like it is insane yet respectable.
Xander hated school. With his life being. His friends, and now Blaire, are the only things that keep him going in that jail. Technically, Xander didn't have to graduate because of the whole mafia ordeal, but according to Crimson, 'one who is destined to become a mafia boss one day must graduate high school."
Destined my ass.
Xander didn't fail to miss Crimsons look of panic when mentioning the mafia ball. And his shock on the attack at the hospital. Usually attacks are predicted weeks before, and they certainly weren't rare. Crimson doesn't show his emotions so easily, which means somethings up. This specific attack bothered him. A loud ringtone snapped him out of his thoughts.
Speak of the devil.
"What's up?"
"Where are you?" Crimson demanded darkly, probably glaring dagger through the phone.
"Relax, she wanted ice cream and a dog so I got her ice cream and a dog," Xander replied smoothly.
"Alright, but come home soon. Also, Gary. Hunter did more than just scratch my car," he grumbled.
Xander chucked before hanging up. He turned to Blaire cuddling her new baby Australian Shepherd. Apparently, it was both adorable and protective, perfect for Blaire.
"A-are we going h-home now?" Blaire asked.
"You got it Princepessa."

Brothers POV
If it was one thing they'd never thought they'd see, it was Blaire lifting her new dog up in the air like what happened in The Lion King. She was really into the movie, jumping up and down for the main character.
It was the most heartwarming thing the brothers had seen in a while. They were in their private movie theatre with tons of blankets and pillows.
If they were being honest, which mafia members never were, it was nice to have a break once in a while. It didn't make them any less of who they were; Cruel, evil, ruthless, and dirty players when it came to the gang game. They just hadn't shown any of those sides of them, hadn't had a chance to. Not since Blaire.
They got to relax. That relaxing time was coming to an end soon though. Crimson knew it, and he was barely getting by hiding it. Xander was catching on, and Hunter would realize soon enough.
Not that they were worried, they were in the fucking mafia. This kind of tension was the normality.
Not for Blaire though. None of the brothers wanted to face it, but she was a bit of a liability. They had already begun to grow soft. None of them cared though. They knew who they were deep down, and knew they would let it out when they needed to.
Right now, all they wanted was to enjoy the sense of calm that was coming an end. Blaire was safe, they were satisfied, and all was good.
Days like this were numbered.
Ok, I actually really like this chapter. And yes, I am aware it has been nearly two months. I am so sorry, no excuses. I will try to update more frequently, and me and my friend will make more of an effort to come up with ideas faster. Comment and vote if you can!
