I've been in Lagrange for a while, and we are now enrolling me into high school. I go to church, and I have been saved. It feels so good to feel loved and wanted. I am surrounded by loving people who have so much care.
First day of high school, I'm excited. I live with my cousin Brooke, she is 7 years old and we take her to school in the morning. So after we drop her off, we head to my school. I am super nervous and shy, so I sat at a table in the cafeteria by myself. Many people looked nice, and I am to scared to say hi. This girl comes up and asked me if she could sit with me. I smiled and she sat down.
"What's your name?" She asked.
"Sierra, what about you?"
"My name is Mallory. What grade are you in?"
"I'm in 9th. Haha what grade are you in?"
"I'm in 10th."
The bell rang and I said goodbye and I searched for my first period class. The rest of the day continued and I didn't make many friends the first day. School took my mind off my parents. I searched for my bus number which was really close to my old address. I got into the bus, and this boy greeted me fast.
"Hi, I'm Caleb. " he said as he stuck his hand out.
I shook his hand and said, "I'm Sierra. "
"Nice to meet you, what grade are you in?"
"9th, what about you?"
"I'm in 11th."
He was kind of cute at first glance. There wasn't many high schoolers on the bus. I didn't realize that we picked up middle schoolers too. That's when the bus got packed. After an hour, I realize that my road was last.
"Hi meme, is it Wednesday yet? I want to go to church and tell everyone about my first day haha. "
"No, but you can tell me. "
I told her how my day went and she smile and said, "that's good sweetie. "I'm glad you enjoyed it."
School was the same everyday. I met new friends though.
On August 28th, I prepare for my baptism. I invited my dad, mom, aunts, and best friends. I wore my AFJROTC uniform, because I don't get to see my family and they are so proud of me choosing the military for my career. After I got baptized, I went home with my aunt Leeann. My best friend summer came with. My aunt has a pool, so this weekend will be fun.
I could have never imagined how happy I am.
