Things weren't so bad. Seraphina carried on with her day as per usual. Demetri being the big ol' protective softy he was, walked her to her next class despite his 2nd period being on the other side of the building.

Her bag was slung over his shoulder while he carried his along with her books.

A tough vampire, that one was.

"You take your medicine for those headaches?" Yep, things were normal.

"No... have you taken yours"

He shoved her harshly with his side causing her to stumble a few steps as she laughed. Their bickering continued until they reached her Vampiric Linguistics class. And as usual, their friends Jameson and Kai stood outside the classroom waiting.

Naturally, Seraphina tensed at the sight of them. There was something in the air between them. The same awkward tension that had been between her and Demetri at first.

She could hear Demetri groan beside her. They stopped in front of the two and stared. Four pairs of multi-colored serious eyes met. Murmurs from those in the hall around them were heard.

"Hey guys"

Jay broke the silence and reached for her bag. Demetri glanced at the hands outreached towards him and reluctantly passed it to him.

"I've gotta get to class," Demi said but as his gaze slipped to Seraphina's he added,

"You know, learning Human Lang is useless. The Wrights are in charge of communication and alliances, I've never understood why it's a graduation requirement. Let's just skip"

Seraphina stared at him incredulously and replied, "You know damn well I do not skip" A sneaky grin crawled its way up to her face as she added,

"And you're much too scared of Lord and Lady Heath to try and skip a class"

Her friend practically growled at the mention of his parents. Shoving her books in her hands and stalking off in the opposite direction of his next class mumbling something about girls and parents and suck-ups.

"I'll be fine!" She called after him and giggled a bit when he waved her off in response.

"Are u guys sure they fought?"

"100 percent, I was there when it happened"

"Maybe they made up?"

"No way, this all has to be an act. Must be Lady Seraphina's power at work. Just like a Goldsmith to manipulate things to their advantage."

Turning away from the direction Demetri stormed off and ignored her peer's bothersome speculation. Seraphina faced her friends of 10 years, the ice between them thawing immediately as their eyes met. Taking notice of the wicked grin on Kai's face and even the small friendly smile on Jay's usual scowling face. "Shall we?" Kai grinned and linked arms with her as they walked into class, Jameson walking behind them shaking his head. Some things never change.

...

She was wrong. Things are always changing. Last class of the day. And to think, it was once her favorite. The only class she and her friends had all together besides lunch. She shook her head, refusing to even think about how she and Demetri were the only ones with the balls to meet for lunch at their usual spot. The tip of her right fingernail scraped the cuticle and nail fold of her left one.

The treehouse about a mile away from school felt empty without the six overgrown children trying to climb up it. (Why they climbed instead of just jumping up to the top like the strong vampires they were completely evaded Seraphina's mind) Deciding it was time to put on her big girl pants and face the music, she forced her hands to her side and walked into the Girl's Locker Room to change for class.

The Vampiric Mastery class was the equivalent of a human's PE class, except Vampires took it seriously. Too seriously if you asked Seraphina. Sitting her bag on a nearby wooden bench and taking out her lock and uniform. She wasn't surprised to hear the hushed voices of her classmates. Instead, what surprised her, was the enumerate Susannah Ali walking in. With a quick strut and sway of her hips, she walked towards Seraphina just like she normally would.

"SERA''

Her usual big smile and tight hug. Dark raven hair pulled back by her favorite white headband. Sporting a flowy grey skirt and white blouse. Of course, her uniform blazer was nowhere to be found. Wincing a bit at the girl's strong grip, Seraphina's eyes drifted toward the other girls in the room and back to Susannah.

"Where were you at lunch and why haven't you been answering any of my calls?"

Susannah's smile twitched. She obviously didn't expect her to bring the topic up in public. Instead of feeling the slightest sense of satisfaction or shame, Seraphina felt a needle of anger poke at her usual cool facade. Her father would scold her endlessly for so openly showing her emotions. She couldn't help it though, her friends were her rock. Her support. Now that rock was sinking. She didn't want it to sink. Not so easily.

"I was worried...Susannah"

From their tight hug, she felt Susannah flinch. She hated it when her friends called her Susannah. She'd rather be called anything other than Susannah. Su, Susy, Suze, Anna, anything that's not Susannah.

Pulling back from the hug and gripping her hands tightly "I didn't mean to make you worry, Sera. I was just-"

"It's just like you to leave others behind when it suits you."

Oh great.

Light violet hair, eyes a hue of green and dark purple. Valerie Bauer stood in front of them. Seraphina raised an eyebrow. Last time she'd checked, Val was nowhere to be seen at lunch and was dodging her calls too—the Hypocrisy of it all. She rolled her eyes as she heard an ensemble of o's from the side.

How aggravating

"Sera, let's-"

Seraphina did not give Valerie the chance to finish her sentence as she grabbed her uniform from her bag and whisked away to an open stall. The combination of instigators and Susannah and Valerie's petty arguments had caused her to reach her boiling point. She chose to leave before she made someone blow something up in her place on accident... again.

...

They say vampires will never experience death as they are immortal. Unless they get stabbed by a stake or put on fire or something. Immortality meant they didn't have to worry about what would be waiting for them in the afterlife.

Seraphina disagreed.

She was pretty sure the situation she was dealing with, was Hell at its finest. She'd resorted to biting her cuticles and the skin around her thumb. Braids secured, a form-fitting dark burgundy bodysuit- a blend of matte and sheen, pure black metal shoulder and breastplates. The Goldsmith insignia on her cape reached the top of her ankles. She looked good. Usually that made her feel good. But not today. She pulled at the high neck of the suit that reached a few inches above the base of her neck.

She looked to her right, Kai and Susy stood in similar suits with slightly different designs. Sure of themselves, they were on the right of her and this argument if you asked them. To her left, stood Jay and Val in the same uniform, facial expressions a mix of contempt and awkwardness.

She was pretty sure something had gone down between them as well, but Jay didn't agree with teaming up against Val so here we are now. And then there was her right smack dab in the middle.

She glared at Demetri who sat on the ground against the wall a few feet away from them. He declared that he would take no part in whatever was going on in their group. The selfish twit. How dare he leave her alone to deal with their trifling friends? To make matters worse whenever he looked up from his phone he let out a charming smile for her, showing off his pearly white fangs. Yellow irises shining brightly making the Heath Clan mark even more apparent in his eyes. She silently promised herself to punch him when class was over.

RING.

As the bell rang, their teacher, Mrs.Watkins of the Wason Clan called for attention. "Alright class, let's huddle up. Pay close attention as I will be explaining what this week is going to look like for you while we prepare for your first VMP exam."

As he stood from his spot on the floor, Demetri seemed to have taken pity on her as he pulled her arm and walked toward the rest of the class. The class's eyes turned towards them and the 4 idiotic beings following closely behind them. It was indeed, the walk of shame.

Demetri slunk his arm around her neck, leaning against her once they'd come to a stop. Pushing him off of her she growled out,

"Get off"

"Oh come now Sera, you'll forgive me. You won't leave me all on my own." He pouted as he pulled his all-time favorite move, his golden puppy dog eyes.

What a punk.

Sliding his way back to his former position with a smile. She rolled her eyes. Seraphina preferred him when he acted like an emo 17-year-old human boy.

"Today, we'll be doing a simulation activity. In this activity you'll be in the groups we came up with last week. You'll be playing the part of a mixed common vampire clan in a dispute. We'll have one of the Wrights act as a mediator but unfortunately, a duel between the clans will be requested. You are permitted to use your vampiric abilities but under no circumstances will you aim to hurt your classmates beyond a 2-minute healing period. Understood?"

"Yes Mrs.Watkins''

She smiled and with a clap of her hands, the glass dome around the huge dark gymnasium shone brightly. The ground beneath them glowed and Seraphina shielded her eyes from the light. When she opened them she felt the grass underneath her boots and looked up at the bright blue sky. Butterflies and bees flying around. Lilies and periwinkles sporadically planted around her. Were they in one of the human park districts? Confirming her suspicion Mrs.Watkins added,

"As you can probably tell this is human territory. Disputes happen in all kinds of places. You need to know what to do in all situations. What better way to learn than real-life experience? Now, as a reminder group 1 will be Seraphina Goldsmith, Demetri Heath, Susannah Ali, Kai Andles, Valerie Bauer, and Jameson Ross. Group 2 will be Elizabeth Taylor, Issac Newton, Gerard Stromborn-"

After a while Seraphina had begun to toon out the long list of names as she brought her hands together in front of her. Demetri took one into his own and held it tightly. Her eyes slid to his face to find his normal expressionless mask. Except for the blush that started at the tippy top of his ears and the flustered gaze in his eyes. Using her free hand she hid her giggle.

"Group 1, Group 2. You're up"

Demetri tugged her hand and led her towards where their group was gathered. The rest of the class and Mrs.Watkins disappeared with a puff of smoke. Her best guess was that they went to the spectator's corner. An audience section on the gymnasium roof near the tech vampires controlling the simulator.

"Miss Seraphina Goldsmith, how wonderful to see you, my dear"

Looking up at who'd called out her entire government name so confidently, she seen Edith Wright. One of her mother's acquaintances. Or spies if you will. Whichever came first.

"Lady Wright, a good afternoon to you"

Her friends gave her a look. Kai looked as if he might burst into laughter any second. Demi kicked him in the back of his knee for it. It took all of her willpower not to let out the most wicked of laughs.

"Good morrow to you as well, dear. How's your mother?"

If she'd noticed Seraphina and her friend's impertinence she made no mention of it as she walked towards her and her friends.

"She's well"

Lady Wright would already know seeing as they'd just had a tea party (secret informant meeting) on Saturday.

"I take it that you'll be our mediator, my lady"

"Yes, I will. Times have been so peaceful these school jobs are all the excitement the lady of House Wright can get." She said while fanning herself with her in an exaggerated motion.

Seraphina gave a strained smile and responded, "A dear misfortune madam."

"Indeed...I'll get out of your hair and let the lot of you work. I must say, I'm excited to see your work Lady Seraphina. Along with the rest of you Eternal Envoys." She said with a sickeningly sweet smile as she slinked away.

The six of them flinched at the nickname. A name they'd unintentionally earned and hated earnestly.

"So... what are we dealing with?" Kai asked from his spot next to Susy.

"Looks like 2 Taylors, a Newton, a Reed, an Erid, and a Stormborn," Seraphina mumbled loud enough for only their group to hear.

"We should probably focus most of our attention on the Taylors and Stormborns," Demetri replied thoughtfully.

Kai seemed to have a problem with his logic as he responded condescendingly, "They're not immediate family members. They're far removed, barely clinging to their last name."

Susannah nodded, "We got this in the bag"

Jay scowled and gave them both a look of pure irritation

"Seems like someone hasn't been paying attention in class. Miss Elizabeth is of mixed bloodline the Taylors and Reeds joined forces last generation and unless one of you has a class with her or is somehow affiliated with her none of us know what kind of abilities she may have. We're at a severe disadvantage here."

"You get worked up over nothing Jay. The Reeds aren't that powerful to begin with." Kai replied with a roll of his eyes.

"How can you possibly say that? When Keiran Reed practically wiped the floor with you"

"You little-"

"Can we focus on the task at hand, please?" Demetri interjected with a tone harsh and unfriendly.

Seraphina squeezed his hand a little tighter. Jay and Kai turned away from each other sheepishly. Seraphina opened her mouth as an idea came to her,

" I'll get Lord Gerard out of the way, and on my signal, Val will shift into him and lead Group 2 into the clearing. From that point on they'll figure out what we're up to. Kai and I will be on offense. I'll keep mental barriers up around you guys in case Lady Elizabeth does have any dreamweaving abilities."

They nodded and Demetri added, "Jay, Susy and I will be on the front lines. Val, you stay back with Sera and Kai, only join the fight if absolutely necessary."

She nodded, "Got it."

Six pairs of eyes met and Seraphina let go of Demetri's hand to put it in the middle of the group. Valerie smiled and put hers next, Jay looked at the 5 of them and slammed his hand down, and Kai and Susy grinned and placed their hands in. They all turned towards Demetri who was staring at the hand Seraphina had let go of. "This is so lame. What are we, children? Doing a group motivation thing?"

"Oh, come on."

"You would be a jerk about this"

"Stop being such a stick in the mud Demi"

"Get over here and I'm not playing with you"

Demetri chuckled and placed his hand in the middle with a tinge of bitterness he said, "Well, how 'bout it, Eternal Envoys?"

...

Chaos. It was all utter chaos.

After their little skit had begun they carried on with the plan. Things went awry when Seraphina realized group 2 was on to their plan the moment the lesson began. Gerard Stormborn stood looking up at her from her spot in a tall tree, a wild grin plastered on his stupid face. It was almost maniacal.

She glared at him, cursing herself for her stupidity. Thinking back on it, it was a rather obvious plan. She could've done better.

"Off your game Lady Seraphina?"

Now he was reading her mind? How wonderful.

"Not enough to lose to the likes of you" She replied while focusing her energy on him and twisting his mind to her bidding. She could feel him trying to fight her influence but she refused to let go of her hold. Jumping down from the tree branch she watched as his eyes morphed to reflect her own and just as she was about to finish their connection she felt something knock her to the ground. The air left her lungs as she gasped.

"SERA"

Valerie ran towards her shifting into some sort of animal before situating Seraphina on her back. Gerard came back to his senses and raised his hand. The earth beneath them followed his command and attempted to cage them in. He didn't get the chance to though, Demetri ran full speed, eyes a focused gold. He took them all off guard as he used his power over gravity to make the three of them float in the air. He grabbed Seraphina and Valerie's animal form and sped off. Seraphina squinted her eyes as her vision blurred from the fast movement. A blur of brown and green was all she could see.

Demetri came to a stop after reaching a green hill. She noticed Jay, Susy, and Kai already at the top. Demi bent his knees and prepared himself for the jump. Then propelling himself up, tightening his hold on the two vampires on either side of him, as he landed gracefully. Setting Valerie down and watching her shift back into her regular form. He then laid Seraphina on her back and brought his palm to her forehead.

"You okay?" He asked with concern, withdrawing his hand as she mumbled an affirmation and sat up. She raised an eyebrow as she asked

"What happened back there? Where's the rest of his group?"

"We don't know where they went. They disappeared the moment Gerard ran off to follow you." Susannah said, annoyed and glaring holes into Valerie.

"Speaking of which, how come he followed you so easily? You didn't even have to taunt him for him to start following you." Kai asked.

"A story for another time. We need to focus." Seraphina responded, trying to redirect the conversation. Jay raised his eyebrow and looked ready to question her until Susy interrupted. "If focus is what we need, we should've had Valerie switched."

"Excuse me"

"Guys, this is not the ti-"

"No, I'm so tired of this judgmental, high and mighty-"

"How am I being judgemental and 'high and mighty' when I'm calling you out for joking around when we're supposed to be taking this seriously!"

"I am taking this seriously, cracking a few jokes lightens the mood. Something you always dim." Valerie said as she stood from the edge of the hill walking closer to Susannah.

"Me? Dim a mood? If anything I liven up the mood and provide a good substitute for your idiocy" Susannah was merciless in her reply of vigor and hatred. Stepping closer to Valerie. The both of them looked ready to lunge at each other and tear each other's throats.

"I'll show you idiocy-"

"I've had it"

Seraphina stepped in the middle and the rose gold aura from her eyes transformed into energy as she pushed the two of them back. Both fell flat on their butts on separate ends of the hill. Demetri rose from his spot and grabbed Valerie from the edge before she could go rolling down the hill, placing her down next to him to keep the distance between her and Susannah.

"You're acting ridiculous. We're friends."

Seraphina tried to reason, breathing hard as she came down from the heated haze. Valerie opened her mouth but then closed it again. Deciding against using her voice. It was probably for the best, Seraphina continued after catching her breath,

"You promised. You both promised me you wouldn't let this dumb thing with your clans get in between your friendship. How could you possibly-"

She paused as she felt the ground beneath her feet shake. Her lecture was interrupted by the opposing team. Great. Refocusing her brain power on moving herself and Kai next to her into the air.

Demetri seemed to have the rest of the group covered. The six of them eyed the competition. One, Two, Three, Four, Five. Five. Seraphina's eyes widened. One was missing.

A second later, a gush of wind knocked the group down to the floor. Groaning at the pain in the side she fell on, Seraphina jerked up as she took in the sight of Elizabeth Taylor. Appearing from what seemed to be thin air.

Elizabeth strained her vision, eyes pouring into hers. She could feel a voice slipping into her head like it was some sort of liquid seeping through the cracks of her brain.

"Hello, Lady Seraphina"

Eyes coming ablaze, Seraphina quickly sealed the cracks in her mind. Elizabeth was a powerful vampire, but still a newbie. She could tell by how easy it was to push the girl out of her head. Instead, she pushed herself into Elizabeth's head and watched as the girl froze like a deer in headlights.

With a flash, Seraphina whipped her head to the right- sending Elizabeth flying. Standing to her feet she grinned and would happily repeat the process with the other members of group 2. At that point, her friends were already on their feet dealing with Gerard. Kai ran over to her and grabbed her hand, "Don't overdo it. We already got the other 4. We just need to take care of Gerard." She nodded but froze at the voices of her friends arguing.

"Not even taking this seriously, ay Valerie?"

"When will anything I do be good enough to please the almighty Susannah Ali?"

"When you finally stop acting like a child and see reason. You're just like the rest of the Bauer Clan. Traitor!"

"Says you. An Ali?!? Your clan has their noses so high in the air, that it's a wonder they see anything underneath the big mustaches. If we're traitors then the Ali's are pigs!"

"HEY," Kai yelled from his spot running towards the argument. Seraphina stood still watching her friends go back and forth. Even Gerard seemed to be momentarily distracted.

"Kai, stay out of this." Jay spat with a tamed anger.

"Like you are right now? Please."

"I'm so tired of this"

"You make everything 10x worse"

"ENOUGH"

Seraphina's outburst had made everyone feel like time itself had slowed down. Everyone watched her eyes glow as she stretched her influence beyond mental boundaries. Efficiently bringing the group up over her head. A cloud of gold energy bursts from her spot. Raising her hand she pushed Gerard to the spot where the rest of his team were laid out. Deciding it was safer not to place him anywhere near her. Coming down from her high she lifted the tight hold she had on everyone's mind setting them back down on the ground as she swayed back. Demetri picked himself up from his position.

"Sera''

He paused and gawked at her. She looked up at him in confusion. What was he staring at?

A moment later she found her answer after wiping under her nose to find a red liquid dripping. Sinking to the ground as she stared at her hand. This had only happened once before and wasn't her idea of fun.

Demetri ran to her side supporting her back as she leaned against him in exhaustion.

"Sera-'' Jay and Kai ran over along with Susannah and Valerie.

"How can you be bleeding so profusely? It should've healed by now." Susannah said- a mix of concern and curiosity. She reached to touch Seraphina, to heal the wound. Valerie looked up guiltily,

"I'm Sorry-"

"Team 2 has been eliminated"

Seraphina looked up as the glass dome around them transformed and the room shifted back into the gymnasium.

"Good work, everyone. Group 1, I must say I was a bit worried for you in the beginning but you proved yourselves. Lord Demetri be a dear and please help Lady Seraphina to the infirmary."

"With pleasure." Demetri stood grabbing her and enclosing her in his embrace to help her walk.

"I'm fine I don't need an infirmary"

"Yeah right." He mumbled. From her peripheral, she could see Edith Wright grinning at her. Maybe the infirmary wasn't so bad. With that thought in mind, she walked with Demetri's help without taking a second glance at her other friends. Her life was burning right in front of them, but they didn't need to know that.

...

"Welcome home, Lady Seraphina"

A warm smile from Goldsmith Manor's butler. Seraphina smiled back, albeit weakly. Walking through the long halls of the manor she glanced at the portraits lining the walls. Some were centuries old. Paint practically peeling off of the canvases. Those were the portraits of the eldest vampires, now in the Goldsmith high council. A group of Old Farts if you asked her. They may look young, but they had the mindset of someone stuck in the good ol' days of the 17th century. Seraphina shivered at her last meeting with them. She was 12 years old. Never again, not if she could help it.

Placing a hand on her throbbing head, she continued to walk. There'd been a reason why she hadn't wanted to go to the darn infirmary. Before going to her Vampiric Mastery class, she was supposed to take her medicine. Medicine that would help with the banging headache she would get after over-exerting herself in class. But she hadn't gone to take the medicine.

Not because she was being stupidly stubborn or defiant. She'd simply forgotten. By the time her last period had come, she was much too nervous to be around her entire friend group. And for good reason. Look how their time in the simulation had turned out.

Upon her arrival in the infirmary Nurse Catrina Ali (a distant relative of Susy's) gave her an all-too-knowing look. Not wasting any time to lay in on her about not taking her medicine. Like always Seraphina tried to defend herself by saying her classes were so far apart she hadn't got the time during passing periods to come. Which as always, was retorted with a "come before first period or during your lunch and blah blah blah '' Seraphina rolled her eyes as the memory of the older vampire came into her mind. Demetri was no help either. All he did was nod along and agree with the nurse while ginning down at her.

The punk.

That being said, she waited too long to take the pills and now was stuck with this headache until the medicine kicked in. Now she planned to go up to her room until it did, greeting her mother could wait.

She was tired.

Her plan was halted when she heard her father's voice as she passed his study. She paused, what was he doing at home?

"Seraphina, my only daughter, are you just going to stand there in the doorway and not greet your father?"

Damn.

Walking into the room she'd been avoiding- or at least trying to avoid for the last decade she bowed briefly.

"Greetings, Father"

Her eyes cast down, taking in the sight of the polished brown wooden floors. She heard heavy footsteps coming towards her, tilting her head up she let out a little gasp as she felt his arms wrap around her. Was he hugging her? Her father? Her body tensed and she stood deadly still. Tears unintentionally weld up in her eyes. She heard a croaked laugh from the side of the room and Serphina's bewildered eyes moved to the sight of her twin brothers. She couldn't exactly see through her tears but she knew which one it was. It had to be Merry because Not-so-merry never smiled or laughed. Or felt much of anything, really.

Were Merry and Not-so-merry their real names? No, not at all. But it was all the creativeness 10-year-old Seraphina could muster and she'd stuck to the nicknames ever since.

Blinking her tears away she pulled back from the hug regaining what was left of her dignity and trying her hardest not to scowl at the sharp pain in her head.

"What are you doing here Father? I thought your trip to the Goldsmith Council would last at least another month"

In other words, she thought she'd know peace for at least another month.

Her father was a tall man with a shade or two darker complexion than her own. Dark brown locks pulled back and out of his face. An ocean of pink and gold for eyes that were just like her own, sept for the family clan mark. That animalistic cat-like pupil in his eyes. He pushed his right hand to her face observing her, then taking one of her wrists to observe the back of it. He sighed.

"Things change, love. I've had a breakthrough. I've called for the entire family to tell the news." Seraphina raised an eyebrow. What news?

"Wife," Her father called, looking up. Just as she was about to ask of the news he spoke of she turned as the door opened to reveal her mother.

"Lady Genevieve, my lord,"

The butler said politely while ducking out of the room quickly.

A smart man.

Her breath caught in her throat as she returned to her deep bow,

"Mother, a good evening to you"

Her brothers followed suit with Not-so-merry greeting in his voice that was much too chilly to belong to a 7-year-old,

" A good evening to you, Mother"

Their mother sauntered into the room. A tall woman with the same brown skin as Seraphina, long braids running down her back. Eyes a misty storm of different shades of red. She had on a white pantsuit that Seraphina wanted on the down low.

" Good evening children. Husband" Her voice came out as regal as she looked and she nodded slightly.

"Do away with the formalities, family. I have good news to share. Genevieve?"

He reached out his hand, to which Seraphina's mother accepted. It did not go unnoticed to Seraphina how her mother was slightly repulsed at his touch. A familiar feeling of sorrow etched itself onto her heart as her headache continued.

"Your mother and I are happy to share with you that the council has finally seen reason"

Seraphina felt her headache get worse. Tilting her head to the side as she squinted.

"The council has granted us an audience. No longer will we suffer with the current line of succession. I've always known my brother's idiocy would be his doom. And now the council has seen it."

Seraphina's eyes widened. She looked at her mother. Who was silent for the first time in her life.

Merry perked up and said, "Wait, does that mean?"

"Yes, my son"

"House Goldsmith will be ours." Her mother spoke up this time.

Eyes dark with want and determination. Her father grinned widely. He looked at Seraphina and smiled,

"And you, love, will be my heir."

Smile, Seraphina.

What about her uncle?

This is what you've worked your entire life for.

What about- about Camile?

Who cares? She's an obstacle in your way.

No-no.

Do you really think your family will be safe if your uncle succeeds your grandfather?

Like a devil on her shoulder- Seraphina heard a voice. A cruel smile crept on her face. Ignoring the splitting headache and the inner mental struggle going on in her head. Seraphina replied in a nefarious tone that felt unfamiliar on her tongue,

"I will not fail you, Father."

Her house was burning, and she'd burn with it if she had to.
