It was hard for Virat. He just stepped down from captaincy. To make things awkward BCCI decided you appoint Ro as the new captain. Vi was more than happy. But the thing is, he feels like he is loosing his best friend day by day.
Ro also frlt like he is not giving time for Vi like he used to.
"Vi Lets go out today " Ro suggested
"Do you have time for that Ro. I mean its ok " Vi also wanted to spend some time with Ro
"Come on I have time for you "
Just then he got a call from coach. Ro didn’t pick up.
"Its ok Ro. I understand. I’ve been there before you. Lets catch up later "
But that later didn’t come as Ro was busy for few days. Endless meetings, practices. He had to spend most of his time with Rah as he is the vice.
"Ro, take a break sometimes " Rah complained him
"If I take break now. I will not have time to spend with my friends later "
"Now that I think about it. We don’t need to make silly excuses to meet each other Ro. No one suspect us now " Rah said without thinking much
Ro stopped what he was doing
"The hell Rah, you make it sound like we are two teenagers who are in a secret affair "

Ro was preparing himself for the confession. He unknowingly ignored Vi. On the other hand Vi took every signal wrong. He thought Ro doesn’t need him anymore. He started to stay away from Ro.
"Vi why are you ignoring me ?" Ro finally asked him
"I’m making it easier for you. Now you don’t need to do hide and seek with me "
"Its not like that Vi. I’m working on something. I need time " Ro avoided Vi
"What’s all this Ro. Why are we like this. Why are you like this. Am I not important to you Ro. Tell me "
"Vi you are making it big. There is nothing. I was busy with matches. Its new for me. I need to adopt into things "
"The day you became the captain, I lost my best friend " Vi left the room
"How should I tell you Vi. You have lost your best friend even before that " Ro sighed.
Next day Ro got a message from one of his closest media friend. He didn’t have much time to spare. Squad will be announced in the evening. He went to see Rah.
"Are you sure Ro. I mean do you trust the information ?"
"They are trying to frame Vi. I cant risk it Rah. This will ruin him " Ro was a mess
"But what will Vi think ?"

"Why? Are you hurting when I raised my voice at him huh " Vi was also angry with Rah.
"Did you mean it Vi ? Don’t you want to see my face anymore" Ro asked while looking directly at Vi.
"Yes I did " Vi said without a hesitation.
Ro turned to leave.
"Don’t follow me Rah " Ro left.
"What did you do Vi ? How could you hurt him "
"Its him who hurt me and you too "
Rahul was going crazy. By the time of dinner everyone had knowledge about the incident. Rah was trying to contact Ro but failed. He threw his phone out of anger.
Rishu and Shrey were there. Vi was also listening.
"What’s wrong Rahul ?" Shrey asked him
"I cant reach Ro "
"He will come whenever he want " Vi replied.
"Don’t start again Virat. You are responsible if something happen to him " Rah pointed his finger at him
"I didn’t do anything. I’m not the one who tried to remove his friend after getting the captainship "
"He tried to save you god damn it "
"Is it serious Rahul. We will try to contact him " Rishu left with Shrey.

"Yes. Only I knew about this. That’s why he spends more time with me. But because of your stupid damn lecture you will not get anything. May be you will lose not only the lover but also the friend called Rohit "
"Rahul I…. We need to find him. He is sensitive. What if…. Oh god " Vi was panicking
"Now don’t act like you care "

"What happened Rishu ? Why are you came in a hurry " he was sweating like crazy.
"Bhai, Ro bhaiya's vehicle was seen by someone. "
"Call the person again. Lets go we need to find him "
"No need to call. I know where bhai is. I mean everyone knows " Shrey looked like a mummy

Shrey fell on to his knees. He was shaking due to crying. He gave his phone to then. There was a breaking news.
"Indian Cricket captains vehicle has fallen from a cliff. Searching missions are still going on "

"You are joking right " Rah shook Shrey's shoulders.
It was all over the TV. There is no room for jokes.
Vi ran to the Dew Mandir outside of the hotel. Praying is the only thing he could do. He keep praying for hours.
"Please be alive my Ro. Don’t you know I cant live without you. I promise you Ro. If something happen to you I will kill myself at the same cliff"
Vi didn’t have any energy left. He laid on the floor of Dew Mandir.
"Vi…. Ro is alive " he herd someone is shouting. He got up at that instant. It was Rah
"Rah…. Is it true. Have they found him "
Rah pulled Vi up and started to drag him towards his vehicle.
"Yes he is alive. Media is not providing any more details "
They reached the hospital with a manager. They got to know Ro is unconscious from the doctor.
"How is the patient doctor "
"No internal bleeding. Only few scratches thanks to the new features of vehicle. We treated for the shock. " Doctor said to them
"We are taking him to the hotel. We can treat him there. Hospital is not safe or comfortable " their manage said to the doctor
"Yes I received the instructions. He can be transferred to the hotel once he got consciousness "
It was a miracle that Ro saved his life after falling from a cliff. He was transferred. Players didn’t let his side until the midnight.
After everyone left Vi approached Ro hoping he is sleeping. But he was fully awake
"Vi..ra..t " He called Vi
"I just wanted to make sure you are ok "
"I’m sorry for not disappearing " Ro whispered. He couldn’t speak properly due to the medicine
Vi felt like his world is shattering.
"I didn’t mean anything Ro…. I just. I just wanted to get you back. "
Ro outstretched his hand for Vi to hold.
"I was acting like an idiot too "
"I though I will never. I " Vi struggled to say
"I wasn’t planning to leave you this soon "
"How could you forget that your life is mine too Ro. How could you risk my life " Vi hit Ro's chest continuously. Ro held both of Vi's hands
"Then why did you tell me to leave you. Not to come in front of you "
"I have no filter in my mouth. Who knows it more than you ? Why did you believe my foolish words. … how can I live… if something happen ti you.. I’m guilty…. I cant bear this pain Ro…. Do something " Vi finally broke down.
"Please Vi don’t cry. I can bear this pain. I cant see you cry. It hurts more "
Vi aggressively wiped out his tears
"I’m not gonna hurt you. Never ever. "
"If you don’t want see me like this again be mine Vi. Be mine forever "
"After I did this to you. Do you still want me in your life Ro "

"I never imagine myself with someone else Ro"
Ro pulled Vi's hand making him sit on the bed. Then he kept his head on Vi's lap. Vi couldn’t believe that Ro is safe and in his embrace.
"I may not be your first love Vi. But let me be your last " Ro touched Vi's face
"You are my first and. You will be my last " Vi gently touched darken area on Ro's face
"Promise me not to hide anything from me Ro "
"I will never. Vi promise me not to leave me. Then I will die. Not even the god will able to save me "
"Don’t say such a thing Ro. These few hours wreathe hardest in my life. I even promise to…."
"What did you promise ?"
"To die " Vi said without looking
"Never ever do something like that Vi. Lets promise to save each other, from the world and from ourselves too "

Vi leaned down and planted a kiss on Rohit's lips gently.
"I was waiting too long for this "
