Alright guys! I've been cooking this one for a while so I really hope you enjoy it. I'm a sucker for the Royal au so this is a one shot in that specific scenario. This first part is very fluffy and then the second part will be spicy(part two is already out)😋 enjoy!

<3

The pristine titanium white color of the hydrangeas shines brightly in the garden-- of course, outside the walls that contained the esteemed, and very nervous prince.

It felt hot, was it hot? All Tanjiro knew was that the princess traveling to make his acquaintance was very different from the ones he had previously been familiar with. The other women from various kingdoms that Queen Kie had brought only had the thought of the crown. Not the well-being of the Kingdom of Japan.

It had been months trying to get this particular Princess to agree to even speak with the Prince of Japan.

The white gloves on his large hands suddenly felt very tight as he smoothed out the wrinkles in his pure white slacks. The top of his formal wear being adorned by golden accents, the most gorgeous designs only befitting to the prince.

It had always been a habit of his. To grit if his teeth when he was nervous, angry, anything of the sort that dealt with strong emotions. He couldn't help but gaze off into the garden, his hand over his mouth as he pondered. Could she really be different? Is she going to be my queen?

The grand double doors to where the young prince resided opened at the hands of a couple guards, the crest of the kingdom on their uniforms not his own.

"Now presenting, Princess Y/n of the Kingdom of Y/c." The prince's aide, Tomioka Giyu announced in his same monotone voice is edition had always held.

The Prince quickly stood, folding his hands over the other as he tried to show the straightest posture. The best version of himself. Yet nothing could prepare him for what happened next.

His knees buckled at the sight of the woman walking into the room.

Your face was painted with the most highest degree of quality makeup, your best features highlighted with the crushed cherry rose petals for blush, lips painted like that of a doll with the softness of tulips. Silky voluminous waves of H/c hair fell over each other down into a H/L length. Striking E/c eyes meeting his, no sense of nervousness behind they're dazzling hues.

The red dress clinging to your plump and perfect curves came spilling outwards in textured and poofy layers. A large skirt over your legs. A tight corset on your torso. Tight long sleeves hugging your arms. (Gold/Silver) jewellery tying the outfit together.

"It is an honor to be in your presence, Your Royal Highness Prince Tanjiro." Something about your voice, melodic and soft and utterly perfect as it was made him inclined to believe your words weren't truthful. As well as his strong sense of smell. Your dainty slender hands picked up your skirt, bowing your head in a curtesy.

"The honor is all mine, Princess Y/n."

All the bows he had exchanged with other princesses he had held an arm behind his back. A sign of respect. However, with this one... He felt different. Something about you made him so enticed. This fuzzy feeling arose in him. He reached out a hand to pick up your right one, the other in front of his torso as he leaned down. Placing his soft strawberry lips to your knuckles.

"Care to join me for a walk in the garden?"

The Princess was an oddly quiet girl. She hadn't said a word since accepting his proposal. It led him to have a gnawing pit in his stomach, one full of self insecurity as he believed he did something to be off putting to the princess. Even so, something has been bothering him.

"Why was it that you lied to me?"

The look that over took your beautiful features was one of bewilderment, your hands folding over each other in front of your skirt before you responds,

"I have not a hint as to what you query Prince Tanjiro." He considered a tease possibly. That your words were playful banter, or his response could hold sarcasm. Yet instead he continued his respectfully shortened strolls and paces, as to not out walk your shorter stature.

"Did you know my family holds its power from the Fire God Hinokami? Our men have been particularly gifted with what one may call special abilities." You cocked an eye brow, your gaze and tone of words suddenly very accusatory.

"Do you consider me a fool, Prince Tanjiro?"

"Of course not, Princess Y/n. I swear it, it is true. My purpose for mentioning this however, is that my father was gifted the ability of endurance. Even through the difficulties of sickness he had remained strong willed and thick spined until now."

"My special ability however, I've always been adorned with a keen sense of smell. Silly albeit, I can tell emotions, intention, and even lies from anyone. Though you are not ill mannered, I can sense a lie when I smell one."

The kind smile on his face while saying such underlying words made you feel attacked. And you needed to defend for the sake of your own kingdom.

The poor boy was so innocent, so sweet he hadn't intended to come off as hostile or condescending. But his next words made your breathe hitch nonetheless.

"So, I'll ask once more. Why is it you feel the need to lie to me, Princess Y/n?"

"I guess you see through me more then the others, Prince Tanjiro." You sighed, looking up through your thick lashes grimly.

"We both know why I am here. What my purpose is. I am nothing more then your subject to breed with, Japan wants from me is an heir. I am not honored to be a victim to my own body. To be defined by what I can produce rather than the change I have the desire to create."

His face couldn't be cuter as his eyes went round, plush lips in the shape of an 'O' while looking upon you. They long ago had stopped along the garden path, standing side-by-side. The Prince's eyes never leaving you, your own eyes remaining anywhere but his intense wine gaze.

Until his lips pressed thinly into a kind grin. A laugh coming from deep within his chest.

"Do you know how many women I have turned away even faced the pressure of my kingdoms state on my shoulders? All seventeen that my mother had picked out for me. They could barely keep their hands off me or their mouths shut when it came to the discussion of mating it was genuinely sickening."

Your eyes widened as you looked at the prince. His gaze now somewhere far off into the distance with saddened eyes. His words had long fallen silent and you felt only indebted to continue the conversation.

"You mentioned that through all of your fathers sickness he was strong 'until now'. That is why the Kingdom of Japan is so desperate for a queen, is it not? That is also why your coronation will commence within the month."

No princess has been so bold as to point out his countries weakness and blatantly obvious needs. Yet you continued with your risky words, despite the boys face of shock.

"My country has immense flaws as well. My father, King Muzan is an evil man whom does not deserve to hold political power. The wealth in my country is reserved for the elites, and the simple servants of our nation live in poverty. Can I entrust a dream of mine to your ears, My Prince?"

The way you said his official title made him feel tingly in such an intimate share of words. His response coming wavering for once in his princely diction.

"Of course."

"I wish for all peasants to live in a fair and comfortable system. Wealth is to be shared, not sheltered behind the walls of greed. The people of Japan are so peaceful, it is to my knowledge that Princess Nezuko wears the clothes of peasants and even shares meals with them. My father would much rather quote the Marie Antoinette and say 'let them eat cake!'"

The silly way you conducted your voice while saying the meaningful quote warmed his heart. Knowing he had found the one he wanted to rule his people by his side.

"So, you wish to marry me for the Wedded Wish?"

Ah, yes.

The Wedded Wish.

When it comes to the discussion of marriage between two nations it is universal law that the female, who has historically had little to no say in the discussion, is allowed one wish that without fail, must absolutely be fulfilled.

"Yes. It is not until we have our decision finalized in writing that I will declare the wealth Japan will share with Y/c will be used directly for the well-being of my people. At that point I am no longer property of my father, but I am yours."

The wistful look behind your E/c eyes enticed him as he leaned forward. Closer to your face now, he had grabbed back your attention. Eyes meeting as his face began to heat, a light dusting of pink across his soft cheeks.

"Once I am King I need a Queen to withhold my political standing. I need something of you, and you need something of me. I have a proposal."

Your brows furrowed at his clear words, hot breath tickling your lips as his distance inched closer.

"We marry, but I swear it that your body will remain fully your own. I will not touch you, and no emotions need be involved. Any boundary or wish you set I will heed. I will make sure you are kept happy and healthy to the best of my ability. All I need of you is to be my wife in the eye of the public, and then you can get your Wedded Wish. Do you agree to my terms? Are they reasonable?"

•.___.•

"Tanjiro, how was she?" The sound of his mothers voice was a much needed comfort at the end of the long day. Shoulders slumping as the grip he held on his sleeping fathers hand loosened.

"Princess Y/n... is... the best option for a bride. Quite writerly, she is the only women that has ever caught my eye." The pauses in between words were caused by the young princes attention being elsewhere. Eyes drifting off and out the window to those same hydrangeas he had seen before.

"Really? You want her as your queen? Are you quite sure she will make you and your kingdom happy?" His mother came forward, cupping his face with her caring hold of hands, her glossy purple eyes clashing into his own.

"Yes, mother. My resolve is final, so much so that I must have her and I am not one to be selfish but I cannot see myself with any other woman."

"You never are one to be selfish, my boy. She catches your eye so much so?"

"Yes. I want her more than I have ever wanted anyone or anything. She will be my queen."

•.___.•

It had been a couple weeks of papers being signed, a coronation being held, and wedding preparations being made. The now King Tanjiro sat in his study, reading a book when his aide entered.

"My Lord, Princess Y/n has requested swan folded napkins to sit atop the China." The king lazily gazed up at the man, picking up his head from his hands as he formulated a response.

"Whatever she wishes must happen. See to it that she is sent all of the existing material for the wedding and is given explicit permission to choose what it is she desires."

"Yes, King Tanjiro." Giyu bows, one hand behind his back and the other in front of his core. Tanjiro watches the man leave, before his lips move.

"Sir Tomioka?" The man quickly turns back to the king.

"Yes, King Tanjiro?"

"It is my will that the flowers at our wedding ceremony consist of the purest of white hydrangeas." The request seemed strange, the aide couldn't help but furrow his brows. Tanjiros face quickly tinted with dusts of crimson.

"That is all."

•.___.•

It was within the final stretch until their official wedding ceremony, and now he was faced with your father. An evil putrid man with bright red cat like eyes and black wisps for hair. Both the Kamado and Kibutsuji royal families sat discussing the final details of the marriage between families over a cup of tea.

"And my kingdoms militia will supply yours with the gunpowder we had promised in our previous discussion of trade. Is that all?" The king, Muzan, was a very hasty man. He seemed to have no patience for anything at all which only made this meeting even more tiring.

"We have worked out all of the fine details yes," Tanjiro paused his words, giving Muzan a moment to smirk in victory with a sigh of relief.

"However we what we have not discussed is Princess Y/n's Wedded Wish." The ravenete mans bright cherry red eyes narrowed at the mention. Glaring at you, his daughter, whom sat at the side of Tanjiro, possibly a threat.

"Ah, indeed! How could I have forgotten..." The mans fake cheery tone no longer scared the young woman. Glaring into his bright red eyes with your E/c ones as you declared with a clear tone,

"All of the wealth the Kingdom of Japan is sharing with Y/c, as well as half of the royal gold will be used for the good of the simple peasants. That is my Wedded Wish, that is my final word."

Muzan shot up from his place on the seat across from you, eyes wide with anger as he shouts,

"Are you mad, insolent child?! Only a dirty mutt could suggest such ludicrous ideas. You filthy whore! Bastard! I'll--" As the mans shouts grew louder he began to step forward.

Not giving Muzan any time to get much closer, Tanjiro rose. His right hand placed itself on the golden hilt of his sword, drawing it before pointing it at the mans throat. His words stopped.

"What is it you will do King Muzan? The answer is so simple a child could discern it. Nothing."

The look on the young kings face was completely different from anything you had ever seen. So cold, angry, hot. His entire demeanour had gone red hot with emotional turmoil while addressing your father. Your face flushed.

"These are the walls of my kingdom and the person you are speaking of is my wife. She is mine and you are no longer able to harm her. The only ludicrous mutt in the room is you. Leave my kingdom before I have you executed. Do not ever contact my wife again. She is mine moving forward."

"How dare you, do you have no shame?!"

"Tomioka, escort King Muzan back to his carriage and see to it that he leaves the kingdom promptly." Within a few moments the mans hand is clamped down on Muzan's arm, squeezing it harshly as he moves him out of the room.

"You bastard! You--" His voice is lost as the grand doors shut.

Silence now fills the room, Kie, Tanjiro and you all still and silent. Until Tanjiro shifts, turning to you with a bubbly smile.

"Well," He starts, slipping his sword back into its sheath. "You must be exhausted after all this excitement!"

His words are so calm... the way he carries himself so dignified... It made your cheeks flush brilliant shades of red. You quickly rose from your seat, picking up your skirt to courtesy to the king.

"No, I'm fine. Thank you for defending me, King Tanjiro. I am indebted to you."

"Nonsense, Princess Y/n! You are no less than I am."

•.___.•

The room was what no one could ever dream of. Dazzling shades of white and gold accents decorating its high walls. It hadn't been long before a knock sounded against the thick wooden door.

"Knock, knock! Princess Y/n? May I come in?" The voice was unfamiliar. Yet it felt so comforting with its sweet honey like notes that you almost felt relaxed for the first time since entering the strange kingdom.

"Yes, you are welcome."

The woman pushed open the door to your temporary sleeping quarters. Oh, what a sight for sore eyes.

The woman was clad in a poofy light baby pink dress, the sleeves falling off her shoulders in an elegant princess cut. Black hair neatly done in dragon braids on the back of her head, her sweet face adorned by a smile. Pale complexion and naturally pink dusted cheeks making every flower in the garden look dull. Before you finally met her pale pink gaze.

"Oh! How rude of me. It is a honor to be in your presence, Princess Nezuko." Her sweet smile held no animosity, and you weren't quite sure if it possibly could. Waving her hands dismissively as she formulated a response.

"Come on now! That's silly! Any lady who has caught the eye of my big brother could not possibly be rude. And the honor is all mine."

She picked up the ruffles of her skirt, the both of you exchanging courtesys before making your way to sit on a love seat.

"You speak very fondly of King Tanjiro." You speak softly, words almost forming the query of why?

You hadn't found any reason to not be. Yet still, A level of skepticism remained.

"Yes I am very fond of him. He has always been so protective, hardworking and kind. However, that is not the reason for my visit. I want to know you. You are the woman my people will now be looking to for guidance."

"Oh! Well, I am flattered. If you'd like the bland resume I suppose I can bore you. I have studied all of the scriptures, I can play the violin as well. So much so I can recite all of Beethoven's symphonies blind folded--"

"No, Lady Y/n. I hope you understand that is not what I queried. I would like to know about you. Not the qualities that make you blend in with the crowd of women aiming for my brothers heart but why he chose you."

Her hands clasped over yours in a gentle touch. Nezuko's smile truly beautiful as she gazes up at you expectantly.

"Huh... He chose me you say? I do not believe that to be true. I am merely a trophy to sit on his shelf and collect dust until he finds use for me through procreation." You huff out a sigh, sinking back into the soft cushioned seat behind. Until she lets out a laugh.

"Is that really the impression you have of my dear brother? Hmm... Let me ask you this! Do you wish to have children, Princess Y/n?" Her words were so forward it made you choke on the air in your lungs. Looking to her with wide eyes as you had not expected her to be like... that.

"I-- I mean! It sounds nice." You mumble the last few words of your statement under your breath. Looking down shyly at your petite hands.

"Ha!" The princess began to softly laugh, bring a hand up to hover in front of her mouth as her eyes closed.

"Now I see why my brother likes you so much!" Her words made you furrow your brows in confusion, watching her giggle fit closely as you waited for her to calm.

"You see, you and him are very alike. The both of you have strong desires! However, you would never voice them as strongly as the throb in your hearts. All you both ever do is try to please others!"

The Princess of Japan was certainly a fine young woman. However you were unable to forget she was younger than you after all. And although her words were truthful, she did use slightly childish ways of saying them.

"Tomorrow you are to be my brothers bride. The royal wedding is all my people can talk about. Will you promise me something, Princess Y/n?"

"Of course."

"I know you will take care of my people... But please... Take care of my brother for me? Make sure he doesn't exhaust himself to far. He cares albeit a little too much. He needs someone to care for him. He cares, yet is never cared for. Please Princess Y/n... Take care of him."

•.___.•

This was it.

The only thing separating you and your crown was thick deep red-brown wood doors and the dozens of pounds of cloth weighing you down.

Your dress was the most beautiful you had ever seen. Layers of floral lace and silk piling out almost looking like swans in the form of a ball gown skirt. The area two meters out and around you consumed by the white fabrics. The portrait neckline keeping a high level of modesty as the only bit of skin revealed to seeing eyes being your collar bones. Your skin sparkled and shined just as much as the top layer of your dress: of which was encrusted with small diamonds all the way across the entire outer layer of the dress. The sleeves of your dress tightly hugging your arms, going down past your wrists. Hair piling outwards in curls for the special occasion, pure white hydrangea methodically placed to highlight the volume. No veil over your head as you would be crowned mid ceremony. A large bouquet of white hydrangeas resting in your dainty hands.

Your eye lashes fluttered open as you listened to the ceremonial music conclude. Hearing muffled sounds of voices speaking before both of the large doors opened in unison.

Everyone around the room had began to rise. Standing as their eyes landed on you. Your own eyes landing on your groom. Your king.

The only two in the room wearing white the both of you. His textured and layered suit of pure white coloration, his tan skin standing out against the color. His burgundy hair style neatly for the ceremony, wine eyes fixated on you as a smile graces his features. As if he truly is the happiest man alive.

You fixate your eyes on him, walking forward slowly in hopes of not tripping and then being impaled with the ungodly amount of sharp items holding your dress together.

The people around you bowing as you walk past. The golden glare of the lights around you shining down on each diamond on your dress. Truly dazzling under the gaze of the chandeliers.

Stepping down the aisle alone. Quite frankly even if your father had attended your wedding he wouldn't be able to reach your side through all the fabric.

Finally arriving at the alter. Before stepping up to stand in front of him, you kneel slightly. Hands picking up your skirt gently. Bowing your head to him.

"King Tanjiro, your gloves." Your officiant, Urokodaki Sakonji reaches his out for the King. Whom of which tugs on each finger of his gloves slowly, pulling them off before handing them off to him. Joining ungloved hands with him as your ceremony moves onward. Staring into his dazzling wine red eyes to remain calm under the gaze of the numerous people.

"We have all been gathered here under the eyes of the Gods to bear witness to the union of two souls; His Majesty Kamado Tanjiro and Her Royal Highness Y/n." You sighed a breathe of relief as he left your last name out of the sentiment. A peculiar request by you that had had his brow raised when you brought it to his attention but he did not question.

He turns back to a table of ritualistic items, grabbing a thin red silk ribbon with his hands. Carefully, he begins to thread the fabric around your hands tying it into a tight knot as if to seal your fates to each other.

"With this act, I bind these two souls. May their relations thrive to be prosperous. You will now look upon each other and say your vows."

You couldn't quite discern why his face held so much overpowering emotion. All you could tell was that he wasn't upset to be here. Quite the opposite. It almost looked like being here, seeing you as his bride pleased him to no end. His eyes glazed over with tears.

"From the moment I saw your beauty I knew the reflection of what lie in your soul could only be more beautiful. I swear to you my love, my loyalty, and my sword as we spend the rest of our days together devoting ourselves to the wellbeing of this great nation. You are my love, my wife, my salvation and my Queen. I swear myself to you from now and until the end of our days and beyond. Our bond will transcend lifetimes and universes. I know that in every life I am fated to you."

His words made you breathless. His diction holding no stutter or sign of skepticism. Clear and loud as he declared his love for you. Pink creeping up your cheeks as you began to speak.

"I remember the moment I first laid my eyes on you. Your actions and deeds all so respectful and kind I couldn't imagine someone more fitted to be King of such a dignified nation. I give my life to you and our people. All of my deeds for the pleasure and well-being of you and the nation I now rule by your side. I swear to you my undying loyalty and trust. One day when I bear your children I can only hope our girls may one day find someone as dashing and perfect as you and that our boys may aspire to be like you."

It felt like his hand around yours had peculiarly tensed with the last sentence of yours vows. His smile unwavering as Urokodaki went through each traditional word of a proper royal ceremony. You couldn't keep your eyes off of the king in front of you though, not when people from his kingdom looked at you with there expecting and prying eyes. Not when there was a boy who must have been years younger then the both of you glaring at you harshly from the line up of the kings groomsmen, the boys hair half black and half teal. Not when each woman standing behind you except for Nezuko was someone completely unfamiliar to you.

"It is now with greatest pride and honor, that I pronounce you husband, and wife. Tanjiro Kamado, you may now kiss your bride, Y/n Kamado."

Oh no. Oh no no. This is what you had been dreading. You had not had any time to discuss how you both would kiss together because you simply weren't in the kingdom for more then a day pre ceremony. What if he was gross? What if you were gross? Oh dear--

His lips were soft as a flower petals. Barely moving against yours, get so gently caressing your lips. His hands placing themselves on your back before pulling you closer to him. Deciding to settle for simply placing your hands against his chest as the crowd erupt into claps and cheers. The woman of  bright pink and green hair behind you squealing and aggressively sobbing. Everything felt perfect.

You were so content in this moment that you hadn't even realized that you both were already being escorted out to a place behind closed doors. You couldn't have possibly realized when you couldn't have possibly focused because something snapped. The chains of solidarity and the tyrannical clutches of the life you lived in the past finally gone. Like a weight lifted off your shoulders you could finally feel happy.

Every princess has hopes of finding her prince charming. From birth that is what they're taught to hope and pray for. Stereotypes be damned you felt so relieved that your prince charming, your Tanjiro had finally, after all these years alone saved you from your tower of solitude.

But you can't be thinking like that. This is a marriage of convenience and love within royalty was so scarcely rare that even having a glimmer of hope that you could have that one in a million love story was dangerous. And you wouldn't risk the life that you were so graciously just given.

"Queen Y/n?" His voice woke you from your momentary dream. Your eyes fluttered open to meet his own red-wine ones. Ones brimming with an emotion that you couldn't quite place your finger on.

His hands were still holding yours with such care. Patiently waiting for your response.

"Yes, King Tanjiro?"

His heart couldn't help but swoon for you. Everything about you was just so utterly perfect that it made him, the King of Japan weak in the knees. The way your dazzling hues sparkled with expectancy, as if you could wait for all eternity for him to give you the world warmed his heart yet in the same turn it frightening him. That you looked at him with such admiration and possibly-- even adoration.

"I..."

He slipped on of his hands from yours, bringing it up to his mouth before clearing his throat.

"The staff of girls who fitted your dress earlier will assist you in dressing into something more comfortable." His free hand moved to the back of his head, scratching his neck sheepishly before speaking again.

"I will see you in our room once you are done. Lady Kanroji?" You couldn't possibly pay attention to the woman who now presented herself to you when he said such a thing so calmly. Our. You both were one now. You'd never be alone again.

"I am Lady Mitsuri Kanroji! I am delighted to be your new personal aide!" You went to turn to thank the King, your King for everything he had done but he was already gone. Wistfully, you turned back to the cheery bright haired woman who presented herself so nicely to you.

"Thank you! I am glad to be in your care, you seem lovely. I am Queen Y/n--" You paused, a warm shade of pink flushing up your cheeks before you continued. "Kamado. Queen Y/n Kamado."

Your words seemed to have provoked her in some exciting way as she began to squeal, pulling your arm to wear she needed to lead you.

"Eek! I utterly adore the love you both hold for one another! His majesty and yourself! He ran away all flustered after leaving you in my care!" Her words seemed to strike something within you as your brows furrowed. Considering this a possibility.  The King running off in a fit of embarrassment? That surely couldn't be plausible.

•.___.•

After her words the previous night you had head straight for your new chambers, where the King had greeted you and then laid down beside you within his bed. A respectable distance from you, a distance of which was not maintained throughout the night. Certainly not when you awoke within his strong arms, your face pressed so firmly into his chest that you could feel his heartbeat to the point where it resonated with your own. His large arms wound so protective and tight around your torso that you could feel every muscle. Twisting to look up at his sleeping form from within the comfort-- the confinement of his arms you noticed just how peaceful he looked asleep. His tan complexion framed by deep messy thick tufts of burgundy hair. His messy bed head and unstyled hair creating bangs that you didn't know he had. The hair falling in front on his relaxed and peacefully closed eyes. You never noticed how thick his lashes were. Apart from that, you never noticed just really how beautiful he was. Like nothing could compare. His peaceful features began to scrunch slightly, his arms tensing around your body. His eyes slowly fluttering open, meeting your gaze slowly. You were so shocked that you had been caught watching him sleep, in his arms nonetheless that you just stared into his eyes motionless. Eyes wide like a deer in headlights. It didn't seem like he minded though. His own eyes staring at you with such an adoring and tired look, that you couldn't help but feel drawn to him. Before you knew it he had began to lean closer and you let him. You may have even just possibly began to lean in along with him. Yearning for more of his touch, yearning for the taste of his lips.

Both of your eyes fluttered closed as your lips met. His soft and plush mouth working against yours as he shifted to lay back on his back. Arms moving further around your waist. Hugging you closer to him while passionately working against your lips. Both of your eyes opened at once, as if you both were truly one, both of your movements completely in sync. Stealing a guilty peak at the other making you realize what was happening.

Your hands hurriedly finding his chest, pushing back and away from him. Your lips being separated from him feeling like coming back up from a sea of love that you never wanted to leave, despite needing air.

"I am sorry! I should not have acted in such a manner. My deepest apologies King Tanjiro!" His eyes looked guilt ridden as he realized what had just occurred. Quickly pulling his night robe closed to follow where you were walking.

"No, Queen Y/n. This is on my fault. I shall not act like that without your consent. I..." His words were quickly at a loss. You both had enjoyed that moment. He knew it, just as you did. He watch you closely as you pulled on one of his burgundy satin robes with silky gold accents. The size almost so large compared to your frame that you swam in the fabric.

"You... You are completely fine! I need a moment, a walk. Yes, that sounds to be a splendid idea! I will take a walk." You breathed slowly yet deeply, trying to calm the obvious fuzzy and was flush of embarrassment you felt from the romantic tension. Not daring to meet his gaze as you quickly exited his and yours chambers.

Strolling down the halls of the castle with not a clue as to where you were headed. Just knowing that you needed to leave that room before you pounced on him. His robe... parted in such a way where his chest muscles were on display. His hair... messy in such a way where you could no longer see his forehead, the longest bit of hair even swooping over his nose. His eyes looking at you like you were so precious--

"Queen Y/n!" A nearby stationed guard called for you, catches your attention. You slowed you quickened paces to walk towards the man. Smiling warmly as if nothing had occurred between you and your husband in the previous moments.

"Yes, Sir Knight? Is something the matter?" You folded your hands over the other informs of your torso, trying to look somewhat composed while speaking to the guard.

"I was pondering the same for you, your majesty! You ridden me concerned for your being pacing around as if the King had done something to cause you to flee his chambers in such a hurry." His words made you laugh gently. As if Tanjiro would do something to hurt you. That was ludicrous!

"The King and his wife's affairs are not of your concern." You gasped gently, hearing his sweet voice twisted into something more crude, almost kin to jealousy? His arm pulled you by the waist against the side of his body. Looking up to meet his gaze when his was more focused on the guard. A glare of jealousy.

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

"You are dismissed from post." His hands grip on you tightened while the guard let out a timid yet booming "Yes sire!" And with that he was gone.

"My Queen? Are you injured? Did he harm you?" His eyes looked over your body with concern. This concern however, hasn't seemed all that present with your well-being, and more with the fear that another man had touched you. Just seeing you speak to the guard enraged him. He hadn't had a clue as to why. Because your arrangement was of convenience. And if one day you had come to love someone he only saw it fair to let you leave him to be with your love founded partner in the shadows.

"No! I am quite fine, My King."

"I am not. I... I do not know but... no. I know. Seeing you with another man... It is bothersome." His eyes looked into yours as if searching for answers to your heart. A gesture that you couldn't help but be confused at. The pouty expression on his face...

"I was not speaking with that knight in such a manner. He only be concerned for my well-being! Not my hand." You grabbed his hands in yours, smiling up at him with an expression of confusion. "Even so I do not understand your bother. We... You do not love me. You married me for political power."

Yes. That was right.

That is how your marriage was doomed to be because that is the prejudice agreement he had set before being proved to just how much he needed you and your love. But little did you both know, both of your feelings for the other would soon be known. Because you and him were both two souls made for the other. The sun and a hydrangea. A King and his Queen.
