Vaggies pov
My head shot up at the sound of the door knocking. We don't get a lot of visitors around here. Maybe someone was interested in the hotel? Excitement bubbled inside me as I opened the door but who was standing there wasn't a new client but a tall blonde woman. I recognised her immediately.
The former queen of hell.
"Hel-" I cut her off by slamming the door in her face. That can't be real. I must be hallucinating. I opened the door again but she was still here "lo-" I shut the door again and rushed over to Charlie and Lucifer.
"You ok babe? You look really pale" Charlie gave me a concerned look.
"Uh not really. Your mother is at the door" I pointed to the door anxiously.
"What!" Charlie jumped to her feet.
"Well this is awkward" Lucifer muttered.
"What do I do?" I turned to them anxiously.
"Well don't answer it. I have enough to deal with in terms of parents" Charlie folded her arms.
"We have to let her in Charlie, she's your mother" Lucifer argued.
"Tch some mother she's been"
"Oh don't start"
The two of them argued back and forth. I turned to the door and my body acted on his own, opening the door.
"May I speak now dear?" She asked.
"Of course" I nodded.
"Lilith sweetheart pleasure to meet you, quite a pleasure" she held my hand with a wide grin "I saw your performance on the tv and just had to come and see you in person"
"Oh you're interested in my work?" I perked up.
"Oh not at all darling" she said bluntly "what I'm interested in is you and your passion"
"Ok that's enough!" Charlie pointed her pitchfork at her mother "I don't know what your game is but I will not let you hurt anyone in this hotel"
"Ah Charlie, lovely to see you again dear" she gave her a fake smile.
"I'm here too" Lucifer waved nervously.
"What a charming little family reunion. Unfortunately I'm not here for you" she pushed Charlie's pitchfork away and approached me "I wish to help you realise your dream"
"Really?" My eyes widened. Help from the previous queen of hell. That's huge!
"Of course. Now where is your staff" she looked around expectingly.
"Umm well" I cast a glance over to Charlie.
She laughed "you're going to need more than that" she clicked her fingers and a tall doe eared man appeared.
"What-where?" His confused eyes landed on Lilith "you!"
"Me" she grinned.
"The hell do you think you're doing summoning me here? I was in the middle of my radio show!" He glared at her.
"Oh I'm sure your four loyal listeners don't mind you stepping out for a bit" she dismissed him. If her comment bothered him he didn't show it. He kept a polite smile on his face "now I've taken on a charity project and figured you'd be the perfect bartender. You're so charismatic after all"
"You're not giving me a choice are you" he sighed.
"Oh you're such a smart cookie" Lilith pinched his cheek. He sighed and made his way around the bar.
"Hi my name's vaggie" I approached him "I really hope you enjoy your time here"
"Alastor dear and that's very unlikely" he took a swing of a bottle. Feeling awkward I left and Lucifer took my place.
"Hey there~"
"Go fuck yourself" he glare at him.
"Only if you'll watch me" he stroked his chest. Alastor tensed up with a disgusted look on his face.
"Now just one more person" she reached into the fireplace and pulled out a charred body. She shook off the soot, revealing a small blonde woman.
"This little darling is mimsy" Lilith explained "she'll be helping with the cleaning"
"Sounds good as long as I have enough alcohol and eye candy" she wiggled her eyebrows at Lucifer and Alastor who looked uncomfortable.
"I think this is going to be a very successful project" Lilith smirked as she took my hand and began singing "you have a dream, you're here to tell. And it's just laughable but hey kid what the hell"
She threw me up and caught me "cause you're one of a kind, charming demon bell! Now let's give these demons a place to dwell"
She snapped her finger and old timely clothes appeared on the others "inside of every demon is a lost cause but let's dress them up for now with just a smile. We'll fill this depressing cesspool with some good old fashioned flare! And show these simpletons some class and style"
She grabbed my hand and pulled me closer "deep down I'm sure your plan is sound. With just a little time down at this hazbin-"
Her song was cut short by a hole being blown through the wall, blowing mimsy away.
"Come on out Lucifer" the guy from the news called from his battle ship "I demand a rematch"
"Aw shit. Guess I better deal with that" Lucifer stepped forward only to be stopped for his ex wife's hand on his shoulder. She stepped forward and lifted her cane, sending an inferno of flames at the ship. We watched in horror as the inhabitants were cooked alive.
After it was finished lilith fixed her hair and said "my, I don't know about you but that's left me with quite the appetite. Alastor be a dear and cook up that jambalaya you're always raving about"
"My mother's recipe, understood" he nodded as he headed inside.
"I can't wait to have your food inside me" Lucifer wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.
"I'll make yours extra spicy" he said through gritted teeth.
Charlie gave me a concerned look but I took her hand and gave her a reassuring smile. I had a good feeling about this.
