Summary: Taylor and Travis go out to have a nice dinner date but get swarmed by paparazzi on the way out. One of the paparazzo gets a little too close, scaring Taylor and pissing off Travis.
..........
"You look so beautiful." Travis commented after their waitress walked away with their food orders. "I know I've said that a million times but I just think you should know."
Taylor blushed. "Thank you. You look very handsome too." She replied, grabbing onto his hand that was placed in the middle of the table.
"Oh! By the way, my mom wanted to let you know that they were all gonna try to come to your show in London." Travis said. "They've always wanted to go to London and thought they'd make a little vacation out of it."
"Really? That's awesome! I'd love for them to come! The fans would go crazy." Taylor chuckled.
"Yeah, they've been wanting it to happen for a while. Their heads will probably explode." Travis replied, laughing. "The kids are gonna be excited, though. They've been wanting to go to a show for a while. I don't know how many times I've heard them say 'are we gonna go to auntie Tay's show soon!' or 'we want to see auntie tay sing!' It's pretty adorable.
"Awe, well I'd love for them to come. That's so exciting!" She smiled happily.
Travis nodded. "Yep. I told them you'd love for them to come."
Taylor nodded and the waitress soon came back with their drinks.
"I love our little date nights like these." Travis smiled softly, moving a small strand of hair out of Taylor face before gently rubbing his thumb over her cheek.
"You don't like our date nights that consist of eating a bucket of chicken and watching cheesy Rom coms?" Taylor pouted jokingly.
"I love those ones too." Travis replied. "I love any date night with you as long as we're together."
Taylor smiled happily. "Those are the exact things they say in the cheesy romcoms. You've been paying attention!"
Travis rolled his eyes jokingly. "Haha."
Taylor giggled and it immediately made Travis' eyes soften. Her laugh was adorable and he could listen to it nonstop forever.
Soon after, the waitress returned with their food and they began to dig in.
"Mm, so the season's starting soon. Are you excited?" Taylor asked after the waitress left.
Travis nodded. "I am. I loved the break though. Are you gonna try to make it to some games, though? When you can. Everyone knows that you're my special cheerleader."
Taylor nodded. "I'm gonna try to make it to as many games as I can. I love going! It's always so much fun in the booth and I love cheering you on."
"Awesome!" Travis smiled. "Everyone loves having you there. I think Ross and my mom are starting to love you more than me." He feigned hurt and Taylor chuckled. "Awe, are you jealous?"
Travis nodded, pouting sadly. "A little bit. But I understand. You're very lovable."
Taylor giggled. "I am, aren't I? So are you though. You're a little teddy bear. How do you think everyone would react if they were to find out that a big, tough football player was really a huge softie?" Taylor asked, setting her head down on her hands.
"Shh, it's a secret." Travis replied, putting his pointer finger to his lips. Taylor giggled again and they continued to eat their meals.
"Ms. Swift." Steve, Taylor's security guard, walked up to them when they were almost done with their dinner.
"Hm? Yeah?" Taylor asked.
"I just thought I'd let you know there's a lot of paparazzi outside the restaurant." He replied and Taylor sighed. "Dammit, really?" The security guard nodded and Taylor pinched the bridge of her nose. "Okay, thank you for telling me."
Steve nodded and walked off. "You okay, baby?" Travis asked after noticing how upset you clearly looked. "Yeah." She replied. "I just wish they'd leave us alone."
"I know." Travis sighed. "I'm sorry, sweetie."
Taylor shook her head. "It's fine, it's not your fault. Let's just not let them ruin our date."
Travis nodded and they continued to eat and laughed with each other, forgetting about the large group of people.
Eventually they finished and paid though, meaning they finally had to face the paparazzi from outside. Taylor had a security guard walking in front of her and a security guard walking behind her to protect them easier. Not to mention Travis, who was basically just another security guard too.
"Okay, ready?" Travis asked when they walked to the door of the restaurant.
Taylor sighed and nodded. Travis grabbed onto her hand and they began to walk out of the restaurant. Just like Steve said, there were groups of people holding cameras and yelling when they walked out.
Taylor tried to focus but couldn't help but feel claustrophobic because of the amount of people surrounding them and yelling.
A couple people reached out like they were trying to grab onto Taylor but the security guard stopped them. That was until one of them managed to grab onto her arm and pulled her over to them.
"Hey! Stop! Don't touch me!" Taylor yelled and Travis head snapped over to her. Her hand came detached from his as the paparazzo pulled on her and before the security guard could do anything, Travis grabbed Taylor and pulled her back from the paparazzo. "Hey!"
He walked up the guy that was responsible for it and look him in the eyes. "You never touch someone without their consent you asshole! You're lucky there's a bunch of people around or I would beat the shit out of you right now. How stupid are you to think that messing with a 6'5 football players girlfriend was a good idea?" Travis asked and the guy shook in fear. You could tell he was short, around 5'6, which just made his decision even dumber.
"That's what I thought." Travis spat before turning around and walking back to where Taylor was quivering.
He grabbed onto her arm and gently walked with her to the car. He opened the door for her and helped her in.
"Are you okay, sweetie?" Travis asked softly when he closed the door. She nodded slowly, looking unsure herself. "Yeah. I think I'm okay."
"Did he hurt you?" Travis asked, gently rubbing his thumb over her wrist where he knew he grabbed her.
"I mean, he was chafing my wrist and he scared me but I'm fine now. Just keep doing that, it feels nice." Taylor replied, referring to his thumb rubbing over her wrist.
"I'm sorry he did that, baby." Travis muttered, kissing her head.
"It's okay, people just have no respect for personal boundaries." Taylor replied.
"Yep, but at least we still had a nice time, right?" Travis questioned.
Taylor nodded. "Right."
Travis smiled. "Okay, so how about we go home and cuddle on the couch while we watch a movie."
"That sounds fun. As long as I get to pick the movie. You're bad at it." Taylor replied.
Travis put a hand to his chest, feigning offense. "What? How!"
"I didn't wanna watch The Terminator or anything like it!"
"It's a good movie!" Travis defended.
"If you say so." Taylor shrugged.
"Better than your romcoms." Travis squinted his eyes at her.
"Did you just insult The Notebook?" Taylor asked.
"Yes." Travis nodded.
"Then I don't think this relationship is gonna work out." Taylor sighed.
They stared at each other for a couple second before breaking out into giggles.
"I love you." Travis mumbled, kissing her head again.
"I love you too." Taylor replied.
