[Meanwhile, at Hero League Headquarters]
KickButt: Well. We have to decide what day Phoebe Thunderman's trial will be.
Agent Graham: How about tomorrow?
KickButt: Are you crazy Graham? We have to hire a judge, several juries and a prosecutor.
Detective Roberts: How about Saturday next week? We will have plenty of time to achieve all this.
KickButt: So it will be next Saturday. Tell the jailer to tell Phoebe.
Agent Graham: I'll let him know
[Agent Graham goes to the Maximum Security Villain Prison in Metroburg]
Agent Graham (whispering): Jailer, I need to talk to you.
Jailer (whispering): What do you need, Graham?
Agent Graham (whispering): I need to tell you when Phoebe Thunderman's trial will be so you can let her know.
Jailer (whispering): Oh, okay then. When will be?
Agent Graham (whispering): Saturday next week.
Jailer (whispering): Okay. I'll let her know.
Agent Graham (whispering): Thank you.
[Agent Graham leaves the Maximum Security Villain Prison and the jailer goes to Phoebe's cell to warn her]
Jailer: Phoebe, I need to talk to you. Do you have a minute?
Phoebe: Of course. What is happening?
Jailer: KickButt, Agent Graham and Detective Roberts were talking this morning at Hero League Headquarters. And, there is already a date for your trial.
Phoebe: Thank God. When will it be?
Jailer: On Saturday next week.
Phoebe: Saturday next week? They're just making fun of me. Screw this! Am I going to stay in this shitty place for another 10 days?
Jailer: Calm down, Miss. Thunderman.
Phoebe (furious): How am I supposed to calm down? I'm a superhero who was framed by some super villain and I'm in the Maximum Security Prison for Villains unjustly. And now I just found out that I'm going to rot here for another 10 days before my trial. If you were in my place you would do the same as me. No one can calm down from this. Why does this only happen to me?
Jailer (furious): Calm down, Miss. Thunderman. Or I'll use brute force.
[Phoebe begins to calm down and sits back down on the bed in her cell]
Jailer: Exactly, stay calm.
[Meanwhile, at the Thunderman house, Hank is browsing the computer, Barb is preparing lunch, Billy and Nora are working on a school project, Chloe is playing, painting Dr. Colosso's nails and Max is in the lair, working on a new gadget, a lie detector to prove Phoebe's innocence on trial day]
Hank (calling): GUYS! EVERYONE COME HERE, QUICKLY. I FOUND A STATEMENT.
[Max leaves the lair, Barb leaves the kitchen, Nora, Billy and Chloe who were sitting on the floor get up]
Max: What statement did you find?
Hank: Read it yourselves.
"Official Statement from the Hero League:
We hereby announce that Phoebe Thunderman's trial at the Super Court of Heroes for treason against the Hero League will take place on Saturday next week at 3:30 pm.
Let's hope we see some heroes in the audience as witnesses.
The Judge will be the hero Thor, the judges will be the heroes of the Justice League (Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern and Cyborg)The prosecutor will be Detective Roberts and the defendant's attorney will be Dr. Smith.
We hope to see you there.
Signed: Super President Evelyn KickButt."
Max: There's finally a trial date.
Barb: Max, can you finish your lie detector before judgment day?
Max: I don't know, it's very complicated to set up a lie detector very quickly. But I will try.
Nora: You'll make it. You're excellent at building gadgets.
Max (excited): Thanks for the encouragement, guys. I'm very grateful.
Billy: Not grateful. It's a fork. What's wrong with you, Max?
[The family laughs]
Barb: NOW GET TO WORK, MAX!
[Max goes back down to the lair]
Max: Let's keep working. Focus, Max.
[Meanwhile, at the Villain League Headquarters]
Dark Mayhem: Well played, Metamorphic. Thanks to you, Phoebe Thunderman is out of the game. Now without ThunderGirl to hinder us, we will dominate the world.
Metamorphic: It was a genius plan, wasn't it?
Dark Mayhem: You better believe it was, now let's prepare the weapons you stole to dominate the world. But, let's start with Metroburg.
Metamorphic: The new era of the Villain League has just begun.
[Dark Mayhem and Metamorphic laugh devilishly]
Dark Mayhem: The world will be ours.
[The next day at HiddenVille High School]
Cherry: So when is Phoebe's trial?
Max: Saturday next week.
Cherry (desperate): But there are still a dozen days to go.
Max: I know. And, we are all desperate like you. But, we have to remain calm to help her.
Cherry: Isn't it better if we tell the class what really happened? They will think it's strange that the flu lasts longer than a week. And, they need to know to help Phoebe.
Max: You're right. It's time for me to expose my family again. With a little help from a video.
[The school bell rings, Max and Cherry go to class, Max whispers in Mrs. Austin's ear who consents]
Ms. Austin: Well, students. Before we start class, Max needs to tell you something.
Max: Well, Phoebe hasn't been coming to class lately because she got arrested.
Oyster: What do you mean she was arrested? She's the nicest person in this city.
[The whole class agrees]
Max: If you guys don't believe me. I have a video to prove it.
[Max projects the video on the whiteboard and Phoebe appears on the screen]
Phoebe (in the video): Hi guys. If you are watching this video it is because my family and I still have our powers.
[The whole class is surprised]
Phoebe (in the video): I'm making this video because most likely some super villain impersonated me and committed a heinous crime and framed me. On the day you are watching the video, I must be in the Maximum Security Prison for Villains in Metroburg for an alleged betrayal against the Hero League.
[The whole class is furious with the villain who framed their friend]
Phoebe (tearing in the video): I just hope you're supporting me however you can at this difficult time for my life, career and reputation. I'm known for saving people and seeing myself framed is painful. It's a stab in the heart and a shot in the head at the same time.
[The whole class starts crying with Phoebe, including Mrs. Austin]
Phoebe (crying in the video): I don't know when or if I'll get out of here. So I want to say it was a pleasure meeting you all at school. You are excellent friends.
[The whole class is thrilled]
Phoebe (wiping away tears in the video): Dear Cherry. Even though you're a little silly, you have a good heart and you were the best friend I could ask for. The first friend I made since moving to HidenVille. I will never forget you.
[Cherry puts her hand on her chest thrilled]
Phoebe (smiling in the video): And, one last message. Now it's for you, Max. My brother in the past. Now boyfriend. I don't know if we'll see each other again because of this case. But, I want you to know.
[Max is interested]
Phoebe (making a heart with her hands and showing it on the screen): That I love you and always will.
[Max, even though he knew it was a video, blows a kiss to the screen]
Phoebe (saying goodbye): Cherry, please make fun of Bradford and replace my legacy. Goodbye.
[The whole class laughs as the video ends]
Wolfgang: Max, hast du irgendwelche Ideen wie man Phoebes Unschuld beweisen kann?
Max: Sorry Wolfgang. You're German. I didn't understand anything you said.
Mrs. Austin: I am fluent in German. He said do you have any ideas to prove Phoebe's innocence.
Max: Yes, I do. My family says I'm excellent at building devices. And, I'm building a lie detector to use on Trial Day.
Wolfgang: Das ist eine gute Idee.
Ms. Austin: He said it's a good idea.
Max: Thank you.
[Days pass and finally the morning of trial day arrives, the Thunderman family is talking at home]
Max: GUYS! THE COLOSSO PISSED ON THE LIE DETECTOR.
[The family widens their eyes]
Barb (worried): But, it still works, right?
Max: I don't know. I'll try.
[Max presses the button, but it doesn't turn on]
Max: The Colosso's urine damaged the controls. The lie detector doesn't turn on.
Nora: But, you can still get back on the horse before the trial, right? Please say yes.
Max (disappointed): No, I can't.
Hank: Okay. How are we going to prove Phoebe's innocence now?
Barb (crying): I don't know.
[The family hugs each other, disappointed and crying]
