Nico let out a sigh as Jason threw Tim at Damian. Dick then tackled Jason while Damian pulled out a knife and ran after Tim. Tim ran away before doubling back and tackling Damian, who then fell into Dick and Jason.
In summary, it was a dog pile brawl.
Nico glanced at the trio behind him to see them all frozen, looking like they were truly debating quitting the team on the spot.
Nico just let out another sigh before he approached the pile. They continued fighting until he cleared his throat, causing his brothers to all freeze where they were.
Damian was mid-kick to Jason's head while being in a headlock from Tim. Jason had Dick in a kneebar while the oldest was attempting to wrestle the knife out of Damian's hand. Tim, while holding Damian in a headlock and trying not to get stabbed, was sitting on Jason.
"I should have listened to stranger danger," Nico said in an exasperated tone.
The brothers all scrambled to their feet, Nico grabbing the knife from Damian as they did so, before Nico turned back to the super-trio.
"Guys, I'd like for you to introduce you to my brothers."
Dick and Tim both gave small waves while Jason and Damian just nodded to them.
Virgil seemed to snap out of his shock first, nudging both of his teammates before stepping forward and offering a small, nervous smile.
"Hey, nice to meet you all. I'm Virgil."
"Also known as Static," Nico supplied.
"Right, yeah, sorry," Virgil said, rubbing the back of his neck.
Traci gave a small wave. "I'm Traci, or Thirteen."
"And I'm Cissie, or Arrowette. It's nice to meet you."
The brothers all introduced themselves before Nico gave them directions to the kitchen where M'gann and Artemis had disappeared to. As soon as they were gone, Nico turned to glare at his brothers.
"It's bad enough that I'm the only one they supposedly know, but now I have to figure out how it makes since that Damian tried to stab Tim and none of us were surprised."
"Hormones?" Jason said, causing Damian to reach for another knife.
Nico took that one away too. "No. No more knives."
Damian opened his mouth to say something, but Nico didn't let him.
"Or swords." Nico was about to move on before pausing and looking back to his little brother. "Or maces, spears, garrotes, throwing stars, arrows, axes, charkrams, blow darts, or any other weapon"
Jason opened his mouth.
"Or guns."
"Shit," Jason muttered.
Nico ran a hand over his face. "I feel like Bruce."
Tim snorted. "Pinch the bridge of your nose and you'll look like him too."
Nico groaned, crossing the room to lay down on one of the couches, his brothers following him and spreading throughout the sitting area.
"Gods, Bruce better finish his mission fast," he said, staring at the ceiling. "It's been like 10 minutes and I'm already exhausted."
~~~~~~~~~~~
3 days. It had been 3 days with the teen heroes and Nico was just about ready to offer himself up to any villain he could find as a hostage, just to get away from them.
"I'm going," Nico said, crossing his arms.
"We are under strict orders-" Cissie began to say, but was cut off.
"Fuck your orders, I'm not even the one that needs protecting," Nico said, earning a punch from Damian as he walked by.
"Mr. Wayne said-"
Nico groaned, cutting off Traci. "Bruce would let me go— plus it's not like you can stop me."
Traci pointed at him. "Don't tempt me, I will curse you if it means you don't leave."
Nico rolled his eyes. "Oh please, I've probably had worse curses put on me by 10 year olds."
Traci raised an eyebrow, flicking her finger at him as a wave of energy hit him. Nico didn't even flinch. "Go on, try to leave."
Nico rolled his eyes and stepped into the shadows, before instantly falling out of the shadow of the chandelier. Dick, who was walking by, stopped his movements and just casually caught him.
"Traci curse you?" Dick asked.
Nico just grumbled as he was set down and stormed back over to the trio. "Remove the curse."
Traci smirked. "I thought you'd been cursed worse by 10 year olds? This should be nothing."
Nico narrowed his eyes at her before reaching into his pocket and pulling out his phone. He clicked a few buttons before putting it to his ear.
"Hey, can you come over really fast? I need a favor."
He heard the response before putting his phone away, crossing his arms as he stared down the sorceress.
"Who was that?" Virgil asked.
"You'll see," Nico simply said before his shadow began to distort and Hazel stepped out of it.
"Hey Neeks, what up-" she stopped and looked at him for a moment before seeming to understand and snapping her fingers. "You're all good now."
"Thanks Haz," he said, giving her a small smile before returning to his glare off with Traci.
Hazel looked between them for a second before sighing and heading to the doorway. "I'm raiding your kitchen."
After the stare off went on for another few minutes, Virgil finally stepped between them. "How about this? I go with Nico. That way he gets to go, and we aren't leaving him alone."
Nico ran a hand down his face. "No. No way. I have to go to one of the camps to pick up-"
Virgil crossed his arms. "Look, I know your sister can just uncurse you, but Traci can also just keep on redoing it. I swear I won't tell anyone anything about anywhere you take me."
Nico eyed him hesitantly before letting out a sigh and picking up his phone again. He called Chiron, running the idea by him, before putting the phone down and looking at Virgil with a look of loathing.
"Fine. I have a place to put you when we get to the camp and then we'll move out from there."
"Thank you," Virgil said, looking relieved.
Nico stepped forward, resting a hand on Virgil's shoulder, before switching to Ancient Greek. "I, Nico DiAngelo, son of Hades, grant Virgil Hawkins one time entrance to Camp Half-Blood."
He heard the thunder in the sky before dropping his grip on the teen.
"Was that a curse?" Virgil asked, looking stressed. "Did you just curse me?"
Nico rolled his eyes, gesturing for Virgil to follow him as he began leading the way to his room. "No, it was my giving you passage into the camp. There is a reason that no one has found us yet. Only people like me or people with blessings can enter."
Virgil looked at his hands, as if expecting to see some magic aura or something, as he followed Nico. "So you just say a few words and I can suddenly go to your 'camp' place?"
Nico shrugged. "Basically. It has to be accepted, which was what the thunder was, but yeah. I made your's a one time only thing though, so don't go trying to find it on your own in the future."
They got to Nico's room, the demigod just walking in, but Virgil stayed at the doorway.
"What are you doing?" Nico asked, sensing that he had stopped outside his room as he rummaged through the drawer of his Nico stand.
"I didn't want to invade your space or anything," Virgil said, still not moving from the doorway.
Nico rolled his eyes, though he internally appreciated the gesture, before finally finding what he was looking for and turning back to the hero. "I officially give you permission to enter. Now, sit at the desk and read this."
Virgil barely caught the small booklet as it was tossed at him. He looked down at what was in his hands as he crossed the room, still looking anxious, and sat at the desk. "Last Olympians: the McShizzle Playbook?"
Nico groaned, forgetting that Leo had named it that. "You can ignore the title. It's a summary of the maneuvers my team does. If you're coming on the mission, then you are gonna have to know them."
Virgil looked at him in surprise. "I'm gonna get to actually help?"
Nico grabbed his Ghost King suit from the shadows and stepped into the bathroom, speaking to Virgil through the closed door. "Ideally, you will mostly just be there as backup/a silent observer, but our missions very rarely go according to plan."
"How rarely is 'very rarely'?"
Nico stepped out of the bathroom, now fully dressed, and shrugged. "At this moment, I honestly can't tell you about a single plan that went fully according to schedule. Now, do you have a nightwear suit?"
"Nightwear?" Virgil asked, looking away from the page he was reading to look at Nico in confusion.
"A suit without any hero branding. On the off chance, that isn't really that off, that you're seen with us, they can't connect you to the League. If they do, then we are in a whole mess of shit."
"Oh, yeah, I have one of those." Virgil stood from the chair. "It's in my bag. I'll go change."
"We leave in 15 minutes, so change and read fast!" Nico called after him as he disappeared down the hallway.
