WHEN LEANNA FIRST got sent on a quest to locate Zeus' masterbolt, she was extremely confused. She did not have the luxury of choosing partners to follow along on the journey, like most others have the opportunity of. This was an urgent mission, she could tell. This was the first quest she ever went on, so going alone was highly difficult. She was an intelligent person, but running away from creatures trying to attack her while taking a trip across the country was frankly stupid in her opinion. She did believe she needed companions, at least one, but according to Chiron she had to go alone and she couldn't turn down the quest.
Her uncle, Zeus, was extremely upset without his masterbolt. And in using this tragedy, he started to put blame on the forbidden children of the gods. AKA, Leanna, and some kid named Percy Jackson, who she had no knowledge whatsoever on who this child was other than the fact that he is also forbidden.
Leanna was sent on the hunt to, originally find the masterbolt and retrieve it back to Zeus, but after Zeus sent Ares to speak to her, her new aim was to find Percy Jackson and steal the bolt back from him and then bring it to Zeus. The only issue was that none of the gods, at least the ones she spoke to had no recollection of a 'Percy Jackson', which unfortunately meant that she had to find out what this kid looked like.
On her expedition to now find Percy and grab the masterbolt, she ran into an issue. After fighting off many monsters sent from one of the gods, she was extremely exhausted. She realized this in the middle of nowhere, with no human contact anywhere. Hence this realization, she made a goal to get to Nevada, as the state line was only six or seven miles straight, hop on a bus, and try to find a cheap motel.
As she dragged her feet along the concrete pavement, kicking a rock along the way to pass time, she found a bus stop and finally sat down. She was honestly surprised that she made it this far without Furie trying to attack her. But she had no time to worry about monsters, as she was soon climbing on a bus, an air conditioned bus, grabbing the first seat she saw. Breathing in the cool air from the vent above her, she gently laid her head back and waited for the wheels to start moving.

AS THE BUS SLOWLY pulled into a different bus stop, Leanna gathered her things and hopped off. As soon as her shoes tapped the ground, she started walking to find a motel, but as all kids do... she got distracted. Distracted by a place she knew about, the Lotus Hotel and Casino. Though, she only knew it was the Lotus Hotel and Casino because of the distinct shape. All she saw in her eyes were the words TOLHE SUOCAS INT OLADNO as one of the challenges of being a demigod was the dyslexia that comes along with it. Still, she was drawn to enter, and despite the fact that she knew the dangers, she completely forgot the whole quest and entered.
She made it very clear to herself not to eat or even touch anything though, as she suddenly realized what she was doing. Maybe this would be helpful to the quest, Hermes is always here, maybe he knows Percy Leanna thought to herself, justifying her entrance. As she continued to enter, she peered around the gigantic entrance area, and made her way to the casino portion of the building. She started looking around for Hermes, as she knew who he was. He was Luke's father. Luke Castellan, Leannas best friend, though she felt there was more to their relationship dynamic. Hermes was not a very good father to Luke, but none of the gods really cared about their children anyway.
The last visit that the gods made to camp, Luke and his father got into a huge argument. Afterward, anytime Luke needed to complain about Hermes, Leanna would always listen. Always. Listen. Thats why she knew exactly what Hermes was like even though they only spoke twice, at least what he was like from Lukes perspective.
As Leanna made her way around the casino, bumping into people many times and saying what seemed like a million sorries, she found her target. Her target of the setting, that is. She rushed up to him, bumping into more people but not apologizing.
"Look what we have here, Miss Leanna" Hermes says, looking up from his poker stack and staring directly into Leannas soul.
"Hi, Mr... uh" Leanna stutters, figuring out what to call him. She always called her friend's parents Mr and Mrs whatever-their-last-name-was... so she was a little lost. —- "Hermes." she finally blurted out, after a few seconds of stammering. Thank goodness the other poker-playing freaks weren't paying any attention to her and the god.
"I need some help. Do you know a kid named Percy Jackson?" she asked, still looking around to make sure the other gamblers weren't listening on to their conversation, not that they would even know what Leanna and Hermes were talking about.
"Hmm... Percy Jackson.." Hermes voices, tapping his finger on his bearded chin. "Isn't he the kid who stole the masterbolt... supposedly" he remarked, adding that last part after a pause.
"Uhm.. yes, supposedly. Im looking for him" Leanna replied, anxiously looking around the casino making sure no fiends are out to attack her as she just recalled that its been wayyyyyy to long without an attack.
"I believe I have" Hermes remarks. "Little blonde kid, resembles Poseidon a bunch. He was with your friend Annabeth" he nods at himself, proud that he was being helpful, that was how Leanna was taking it in anyway.
"Do you know which direction they went?" she replies, thinking on why Annabeth was with a theif.
"That way" Hermes nods to the right. "Better move quick, kiddo. Or you'll lose 'em"
Leanna looks the way Hermes directed her to go, and nods her head. "Thanks" she says, making her way in that direction.

AS SHE GETS OUT of the sight range of Hermes, she frantically looks up, down, left, and right as she walks through the busy casino. Then, she spots the blonde boy. He stands up above a saytr-like creature, brushing himself off like they just roughhoused. As the boy stands up, Leanna meets the eyes of him and practically gave him the same stare Hermes did to her.
As the boy breaks eye contact, he looks behind him at Annabeth. Annabeth Chase. Leanna's Annabeth Chase. The little girl she hasn't seen since shes been on the quest. Leanna walks closer to the blonde boy and the dark haired girl. As she reaches them, she gives Percy another stare-down for a couple seconds, then looks at Annabeth.
"Annabeth." She says sternly.
"Lei?" Annabeth replies, confused on why Leanna is so angry.
"Why are you here." Leanna asks, crossing her arms. "And with a thief? Two unsafe positions you put yourself into." she says, glancing at the blonde boy and back at the dark haired girl
"Im on a quest. And Percy is not a thief. He got accused, just like you. Don't be rude."
"You need to get out of here, Annabeth." Leanna says, putting her hand on Annabeth's head.
"And you," she continues, looking at Percy, "Dont you get two companions to accompany you on a quest? Who's the other one? Wheres the other one?"
Percy glances at Annabeth, confused on who this woman talking to him is.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" he replies, snarky as ever.
"Actually, yes I would like to know. Because I want to know which one of my friends you put in danger."
"Grover." Annabeth interrupts, knowing that Leanna and Percy will continue to banter amongst eachother if she doesnt.
"You brought Grover?? Here?!" Leanna exclaims. "That goat eats everything!!! He's going to forget me, hes gonna forget you!"
"Oh my gods, you're right." Annabeth replies, a little sass added into her remark. "We already thought of that, we're looking for him. Right. Now. And frankly, we would like some help."
Leanna shakes her head, and grabs Annabeths arm, "Lets find that saytr and then you three can get out of here" she claims, pulling Annabeth along the path of empty space in the casino.

AFTER SCRAMBLING AROUND the casino, the group finds Grover, and retrieves him from his video game he is hooked up to. And as the group brings Grover back to reality, Leanna continues to anxiously look around the casino again remembering the monsters and how long its been.
As she continues to look around, Grover, Annabeth, and Percy surround her. They stare at her strangely, until she snaps back into reality.
"Hi Lei!!" Grover says happily, as he is so glad to see his very good friend again.
"Hey Goat-Boy" Leanna replies, nodding at him.
"Hate to ruin the reunion, but we have somewhere to be. With very little time" Percy interrupts, again with the sass, as he points to a sign saying the day.
They've all been here for five days.
Five days.
Five days lost that could've been used for finding the bolt.
One day left to find it before all hell breaks loose.
Shit.
