@redbullracing
Upon the recent news regarding Katherine Mond we have decided to end our relations and reject her sponsorship for the 2024 season.
We do not want to be in contract with someone facing such serious allegations and do not condone them in any way. Especially since the person coming forward about Monds past is in a relationship with our driver Max Verstappen.
Thank you all for your support!

Max let out a dissatisfied grunt as he showed his screen to Kyra and Charles, who were sitting next to him. They had just finished FP2 and were sitting in a quiet corner on the paddock, having some free time.
»It's a bit late.« Was all the Dutch driver had to comment on his teams statement to the whole Katherine scandal. After the talk he'd had with Christian he'd expect a more empathetic approach to it.
»Well, not everyone is Max Verstappen and post "Fuck Katherine Mond" an hour after the release of the article.« Kyra snorted at the memory and the chaos that had followed Max's actions.
During his and Lando's visit to cheer Kyra up, Max's managers, team principal and father had all called him, asking him why the fuck he'd post something like that. It had been pure comedy for the three other people in the room.
»And I still can't believe they made me delete that!« Max replied grumpily, throwing his hand up in confusion. »I was just saying the truth!«
»Yes, but Max-« Charles wanted to lecture him on media policy and proper procedure when it came to situations like these, but decided to abandon the attempt half way through. It would have no use. No media training in the world could stop Max from voicing his opinion loudly and proudly. »Honestly, you're right.«
Agreeing humming came from the man. Meanwhile Kyra was scrolling on his phone, but as soon as he noticed, Max ripped it out of her hand.
»Hey!«
»No, we said no social media for you!« Charles scolded her. »Not for a couple weeks at least.«
»But I want to know-«
»No. You don't.« Max, who was very familiar with the cruelty of people on the internet, muttered as he pushed his phone back into his pocket.
»Fine.« Kyra mumbled as she leaned against Charles, who immediately out his arm around her, pressing a kiss on her cheek.
Suddenly Max seemed very busy, getting up and looking around. When he felt two pairs of eyes on him, he said, »I think I should get back to the garage. Christian wanted to talk about something- car things... I think I should get to that.«
Without waiting for an answer he walked off, faster than necessary. Charles frowned, but just shrugged it off. »Weird.«
»No... It's not.« Kyra sighed, her eyes following Max as he walked down the pit lane. She felt guilt weighing down on her and with a sad smile she added, »I don't think he's over you yet. Seeing us together can't be easy for him.«
»Oh...« Almost having forgotten about that face, Charles wasn't sure what to say. For him it was all sorted out. He was with Kyra and they were happy, so there wasn't really a reason for him to worry about who else might like him. Judging by the look on Kyras face, she worried though. »I'm sure he'll get over me soon. He deserves to be happy.«
»He really does...« Kyra agreed, pressing Charles against herself one last time before letting go and getting up as well. »Okay, you should get back to the garage as well. Fred is probably going to send out a search squad if you don't.«
»Fine!« Charles sighed, following his girlfriend.
Fred was indeed waiting for him, immediately dragging him off to a meeting with Carlos. It left Kyra waiting, but she spent her time with the mechanics.
She'd actually befriended them over the past couple weeks and they gladly let her hang out as they checked the cars and tidied up the garage.
Raphael, a young addition to the team, even took some time to explain to her what he was doing. Of course he wasn't allowed to mention any details, but it didn't stop him from talking about the over all information.
Especially after Kyra had mentioned that she might start studying engineering. Or that she was thinking about it at least.
But after two hours passing, even the mechanics were ready to go. Raphael said his good byes, even offering to stay a bit longer but Kyra politely declined.
All alone in the garage, Kyra checked her phone. There was a message from Charles that popped up at the same time.
Charles
Sorry, this is taking forever! You can go and wait by the car. It's warmer there.

For a moment Kyra considered waiting anyway, but eventually decided to follow Charles advice. The car would be warmer and she could blast some loud music, just relax.
Slowly she walked down the paddock. It had gotten dark, no one else was around anymore, so it was strangely quiet in the usually busy space.
There was something peaceful about it. Kyra enjoyed it, a part of her brain wishing her father could be there with her.
Well, maybe it was good he wasn't... he'd definitely try to break into one of the garages and steal one of the cars...
By the time Kyra reached the parking lot she realized where that peaceful feeling came from. Freedom.
For the first time in... forever, she felt free. Nothing was weighing her down anymore.
She could do whatever she wanted, only having to look after herself from now on.
Her past was out in the open, no more scary skeletons hiding in the closet. Katherine had been exposed, which basically forced her into the shadows. Meaning Kyra could lead her life without the fear of encountering her ever again.
And in a few short short weeks she could make her relationship with Charles public, cutting the last strings holding her down.
Everything was on track. Her life would be perfect. Well, it already was pretty much.
Feeling a wave of sudden excitement hitting, the young woman stretched her arms out ofer her head and laughed, loudly. It was coming from deep inside her and she almost wasn't able to stop.
She probably wouldn't have if it wasn't for the sound of steps behind her. Just in time Kyra turned around, smiling widely. She expected it to be Charles, who'd gotten out sooner than he'd thought.
So it was a rude awakening when someone much shorter was standing in front of her. Even in the dimly lit parking lot Kyra recognized the blonde hair and sharp eyes looking up at her.
But before she really registered what was happening, Katherine took another step forward, forcefully pushing something towards Kyra. A second later she felt an awful stinging in her stomach area, which worsened by the moment.
In a trance Kyra looked down, slowly registering that the thing Katherine was holding was a knife. At least half of it. The other half was sunken deeply in her body, blood spreading over her white T-shirt. For a moment she watched as the red stain grew.
Blood. She was bleeding... Wait, she was bleeding.
That was when she snapped back into reality, her eyes rising back up to Katherine's. The woman wasn't grinning, like Kyra expected her too. Instead her face was red, her eyes narrow, anger pulsating through every vein.
»You... stabbed me.« Kyra said simply, her mouth felt numb unlike the rest of her body. It was tingling, but in a painful way. Her stomach was on fire, the immediate place she'd been stabbed was throbbing.
She couldn't feel the blood loss yet, but out of experience she knew it was only a matter of time until she'd start getting lightheaded. There wasn't much time to waste. She had to do something, get away from Katherine.
So that's what the young woman tried to do. Taking a step back she removed the knife from her body, immediately pressing a hand on the open wound. She turned around, trying to run, but just as she took the first step, she was kicked into the back of her knees.
Stumbling she fell to the floor, more pain flooding through her body. It left her vulnerable as she coughed in pain. A foot was placed on her back, pressing her down until he was laying flat on the scratchy concrete.
That was around the time the panic set in. The already strained breathing got even more irregular, her bottom lip started trembling along with her hands.
Kyra flinched when she felt Katherines hot breath on her neck, the woman bent over her like a lion ready to eat it's pray. She chuckled at the sight of Kyras eyes pressed together in fear.
»Not such a loud mouth anymore, huh?« Katherine teased, pressing the bloody knife into the space between Kyras shoulder blades. Right where she'd carved in her initials all those years ago. A whimper followed the stinging pain, the blade pushing through the thin layers of skin. »You thought you could talk shit about me without consequences? You thought I wouldn't get my revenge?«
»Katherine, d-don't do this!« Kyra tried to scream, but the words came out much quieter than she'd anticipated. Panting she tried to free herself from the woman's grip, but every time she moved even slightly, the knife pushed further into her. So she tried it with words instead. »You won't get away with this! Ah- Fuck, Katherine that's by far the dumbest thing you've ever done!«
»Dumb?« Katherine screeched, enraged by the accusation. Out of spite she applied more pressure to the knife until it was half was in Kyras back.
Enjoying the young woman's screams, she sat down on her lower back, deciding to take her time with her. Her original plan was to immobilize her quickly, drag her away from here, but now she wanted to enjoy this. As Kyra had said to Charles in the past: Katherine tended to get careless once she was in her element.
»Where is your guard dog, Kyra?« She teased, letting go of her weapon to grab her ex's hair instead. Forcefully she pulled her head up, forcing Kyra to look at her. Pleased she noticed that in between all the fear, there was some spite. A hint of resistance. Katherine had always enjoyed Kyras hot headedness, mostly because she knew how to break it. »Don't you want to call for him? Let him save you?«
On the contrary. Kyra was relieved Charles wasn't here, stuck in some meeting. It meant he'd be safe. He'd dealt with enough of her shit, Katherine was never supposed to be his problem in the first place. She stayed quiet, stubbornly keeping eye contact.
Not getting an answer made Katherine mad, aggravated even over the lack of control she seemed to have over the younger woman. To relief some of her frustration she hit her in the face, using the back of her hand.
Groaning Kyras head hit the ground, the impact made her dizzy. Although it probably also had something to do with the blood loss. Judging by the wet sensation on her stomach she must've had lost quite a bit by now.
»You are pathetic, Kyra. Truly.« Katherine hissed into her ear. »Running to the public instead of toughening it out?«
She pushed the knife in another inch. Kyra cried out in pain, tears running down her face.
»But you've always been like that. Weak. Unable to do anything on your own. You've always depended on others.«
Another inch. Another scream. But Kyra could feel her body slowly giving up, even the shaking started to die down.
»They'll all leave you, you know? Get tired of you. Realize how fucking selfish you are.«
Another inch. The knife was now fully pushed into Kyras back.
Grinning Katherine pulled on Kyras hair again, sure she'd broken her now. But to the blondes shock, the spart was still in the dark blue irises, even a small smile was tugging on the pale lips.
Because even though Kyra was in immense pain, her breathing flat and blood dripping our of her mouth, she knew that Katherine was wrong. Her words didn't have the effect that they used to. They amused her actually.
»Fuck off, Katherine. That shit doesn't work on me anymore.« Kyra pushed the words out like they were poison, watching through half closed eyes as the woman's eyes widened. »You're the one who's pathetic and I think deep down you know that.«
Trembling with frustration and anger, Katherine rose to her feet. This wasn't how she had planned this to go. She didn't even enjoy it anymore.
Leaving the knife in Kyras back, she grabbed her by her shirt and started dragging her across the parking lot to her car. It was harder than she'd expected it to be. Kyras was heavy and Katherine wasn't necessarily strong.
It didn't help that the injured woman caught on to the blondes plan. With the last strength she could bring up, Kyra clawed at anything around her, trying to stop Katherine.
Unfortunately all she got was the rough concrete ground beneath her, still she dug her nails into it, not caring about her nails breaking off and the sharp rocks digging into her palms and knees.
By the second her vision got blurrier. All Kyra could envision was Charles face and while she was glad he wasn't here, she also didn't want this to be the end.
She wanted to see him again. Desperately.
Kyra wanted her Charles. Wanted to be with him. Feel his arms around her. Hear his voice say her name.
Her imagination must've been good, because faintly she believed to hear him call for her.
She wanted laugh, but it came out as a sobs.
A car door opened, but Kyra couldn't see anymore. Her eyes had closed, her body given in.
Then she drifted off into the dark...
