Days pass by since jungkook left. Lina couldn't believe it's already been 4 weeks since he left. He didn't call her nor text her. she always keeps motivating herself that he might be busy. there were many days she used to think about him. she missed her bestfriend a lot.
she always used to feel alone while she used to glance at the empty seat beside her. There was no one who can trouble her like he used to always do.
She sits in the class while the teacher was teaching something but she was mentally absent. A random memory strikes her brain when she and Jungkook tried to jump off the school compound wall to sneak outside.
She remembers that making her laugh a little.
Mrs.hwang looks at lina as she asks, "lina! Where's your attention? Why are you smiling??". Lina licks her lips in embarrassment as she just says, "sorry..."
During lunch break she sits down with her friends while eating lunch. She gets so immersed in her thoughts. She picks up the chicken piece with the fork and tries to feed someone beside her while looking at her plate, "kook.. eat this...".
Sooyoung watches this and asks lina with a confused look in her face, "lina? What are you doing girl??".
Lina looks up from her place towards sooyoung then she looks towards the side where her own hand was, only to find that place empty. She pulls her hand back towards her mouth as she replies in a sad tone, "nothing...".
That day afternoon during sports class she goes around the school ground to take some fresh air.
She watches almost everyone playing with each other so she says in blooming voice, "jungle book!! We should play-"
She stops speaking as realization hits her. She sighs and says in a low voice only audible to herself, "its been whole freaking 4 weeks jeon jungkook... where are you?... you didn't even get time to text me...??"
She starts walking from there. Then her eyes fall on a boy and a girl of her class playing basketball while quarreling with each other.
Lina looks at them with slight tears in her eyes as memories keep playing in her brain. She shruggs off her thoughts and walks away from there.
After few days on a fine weekend evening, lina keeps cleaning her room. After cleaning and placing everything perfectly in its place, she flops down on her bed being exhausted. She closes her eyes to take rest but suddenly her phone beeps making her frustrated.
She tries to ignore it but the notifications keep on buzzing on her phone so she annoyingly gets up from her bed and picks up her phone from the study table. She sees 30 notifications, so she unlocks the phone and her frown changes into a wide smile.
The only words leave her mouth, "kookie..."
Jungkook sees that she read his spam texts so he immediately texts her, "look outside your room window".
She immediately goes towards the window and slides the curtain. Jungkook waves his hand at her. She doesn't say any anything and runs downstairs towards the entrance door.
Mrs.shin watches lina running so she says in a worried tone, "yah! Sweetie! Slow down!!". In reply lina shouts while running out of the door, "eomma!! Its jungkook!!"
Mr and Mrs shin chuckle as mr.shin says, "im glad they both have eachother". Mrs.shin nods her head, "we don't have to be worried about anything when it comes to lina... I'm sure jungkook will take care of everything.. afterall he is like my sweet sweet son".
Mr.shin twitches his lips to the side as he asks her, "why do you trust him so blindly honey?". She looks at him and answers in a second, "have you ever observed the care for each other in their eyes?..."
On the other hand lina tuns out of the house. Jungkook sees her and smiles widely as he can already guess what's her next move. So he opens his arms wide for her. Lina ends up in his arms tackling him while hugging him tightly.
They both start shredding tears in eachother's embraces. Lina speaks in a cracked voice, "I missed you so much bunny...". He closes his eyes as more tears flow down his cheeks, "I missed you more carrot...".
After few minutes of comfortable silence in each other's embraces they both pull away from eachother. He looks at her with a wide smile on his face, "guess what?".
She chuckles and just hums in response to him. He immediately whisper yells while jumping, "I got selected!!".
Lina smiles widely and hugs him tightly as they both jump while hugging like kids. Lina says in blooming voice, "oh my goddd!! Congratulations!!..".
She smacks his head and says, "I knew you could do this!! Yahhhh! Im so proud to be your bestfriend!!". She yells and smacks his Butt. Jungkook looks at her in disbelief, "yahh pabo stopp!!".
Lina stops in her place as she says, "oh.. sorry...". Even second doesn't pass as she said that and again yells, "but this is awesome!!". He closes his ears with his hands while laughing. She also laughs along with him.
Then Jungkook speaks taking her off guard, "Ok ok wait... you are coming with me tomorrow to the practice room.. and I'll introduce you to them". She looks at him confused, "who them?". He smiles widely and says, "the members whome im going to debut with."
Her eyes widens as she screams internally, "im going to meet BTS????!".
Jungkook finds her lost in her thoughts so he snaps his fingers infront of her. Lina breaks out of her thoughts and looks at him. He asks her while raising an eyebrow, "what? You have any problem?".
Lina gulps down her saliva, "kookie... let's go some other day...". He frowns and yells at her, "no!!"
She licks her lips in nervousness, "but kook-". She wanted to say something but stops in her words when she looks at his puppy face. She rolls her eyes and says, "ugh, fine... this boy..". He smiles widely and squeezes her cheeks.
They both laugh and go outside to spend time with each other after weeks of waiting for this moment.
Around at night time they both keep walking as lina's stomach makes sounds. Jungkook starts laughing as she also laughs. Jungkook says, "im hungry too...".
Lina looks around thinking where they should go to eat. She spots a pasta shop and points towards that shop but Jungkook shooks his head and says, "I miss aunt's handmade food".
Lina smiles and nods her head as they make their way towards her home. When they reach and open the entrance door of the house and to their surprise they find the lights of the house switched off indicating that her parents are not at home.
Lina switches on the lights as they look at each other. Jungkook says, "I guess no food until we both do some hardwork on our own". She nods her head as they both walk towards the kitchen to prepare food for themselves.
After almost cooking for 15 minutes in silence, jungkook breaks the silence as he asks her, "Where is the flour?". She answers him while cutting the fruits, "in the shelf.. on the top right corner..". He looks towards the direction where she mentioned as a mischievous smile plays on his lips, "go get me some...".
She gives him a side eye while saying with a poker face, "get your lazy Butt out of there and help yourself". He looks at her with a smirk on his face. Lina stops doing whatever she is doing and turns towards him with an annoyed expression on her face, "now what's on that small green pea brain of yours?".
Jungkook gives her a mischievous expression as he teases her, "you are short, that's why you denied to help me right?". She frowns at him, "no I'm not!!". He sticks out his tongue making her frustrated as he says, "Then go bring the flour".
Lina groans, "fine!!". She goes towards the shelf and tries to reach the box of flour but she fails. She tip toes on her toes and tries hard in embarrassment, "what the heck!!?". Meanwhile jungkook watches the scene infront of him while laughing is heart out, "lemme help you shortie carrot".
He goes towards her and towers over her while reaching the box of flour. But an evil idea pops in her brain as she smirks and waits for the right time. As he was pulling out the box she quickly stamps on his foot. Jungkook releases the box making the lid to slide open and flour falls on him.
Lina starts laughing hard like there is no tomorrow. He glares at her and picks up the remaining box of flour which is still filled half way. Then he drops the flour of her head completely.
Lina's eyes widens in shock as she yells, "yah! Dumbo!!". He laughs looking at her face but he notices her picking up some flour from the ground. So he also immediately picks up some in his hands and runs as lina stats chasing him.
They both run in the kitchen while making the flour drop everywhere. At this point they both are standing on each side of the kitchen counter panting hardly.
Lina sticks out her tongue as she says, "pabo!!". He glares at her, "stupid!".
And here it goes, the chain goes on..
"Dumbo"
"Idiot"
"Alien"
"Alien from sun"
"Tree trunk"
"Shortie"
"Giraffe"
"Mouse"
"Waste-",
Lina was going to complete her sentence but they hear the entrance door knob opening.
Mr and Mrs shin look at the whole kitchen with wide eyes. Mrs.shin yells in disbelief, "my poor kitchen!!".
Lina and Jungkook stops in their places trying to hold in their laughter. Mrs.shin again yells, "what did you both do!!? My utensils!! Now what? What are you both laughing at??!".
Listening to her words lina breaks into laughter. Watching her Jungkook and mr.shin also starts laughing slightly. Lina says in her cracked up voice while trying to stop her laughter, "eomma.. hehe.. im.. im sorry... heheee..!".
Mrs.shin gets more frustrated as she yells, "my dear monkeys! You both won't leave from the kitchen until you both clean the whole mess!! Understood!?".
Lina and Jungkook glare at eachother as they start blaming eachother. They both say at the same time, "its that idiot's fault".
Mrs.shin makes a sarcastic smile and warns them, "clean right now or I won't hesitate to kick you both out of the house".
They both sigh and start cleaning the whole kitchen. But jungkook doesn't stop irritating her. After 30 minutes of cleaning, lina's mom prepares food as they all eat together while talking and laughing.
After having the dinner, jungkook leaves to his home as lina goes to her bedroom and flops on her bed. She stares at the ceiling and smiles like a idiot. Her mind starts to think about all the events that happened in the past 3 months. She starts speaking in her heart.
"I'm so glad that I have a bestfriend like jungkook... and if my wish comes true then soon tomorrow I will be able to meet all the members.. but... isn't this all unfair?... I don't deserve being happy.. because... I gained profir without any hardwork... having these many months with jungkook is so memorable... but I wish to go back in the present again... it's enough of what I had till now... I can't use this opportunity... gosh!!... I miss my old friends... I miss you haerin-ah... just please take me back to where I belong to..."
She closes her eyes letting tears out of her eyes. Soon she drifts into deep sleep while curling into her blanket.
Time passes next morning as lina wakes up to her alarm. She squint her eyes and tries to stretch her arms but her eyes remains in shock looking at her surroundings as she gasps, "what...!?"
