Ambiguity

It was in the middle of the night that you woke up.You saw a strange light hovering over your head, you turned over trying to fall asleep again.When the light stopped, it was replaced by a voice of a guy cursing, which was preventing you from sleeping.You sighed ,got up to look at what was happening outside.Looking through that strange triangle window, you saw a guy in the faint lighting that the Mystery Shack had outside, you could not tell who he was but he seemed like he wanted to enter the shack.You freaked out.You watched as the figure dissapeared, meaning he already was inside."No, this is a bad dream"You kept telling to yourself, until you heard footsteps that seemed to have been walking up the stairs.Your heart was beating faster and you began searching for something tondefend yourself.Suddenly, you heard a door openening.You assumed it was Soos who just went outside and then came back, but you were still wondering what these people were up to and what is up with all this strange stuff.That glow that came out of nowhwre in the middle of the night was frighteing, so you took all the courage you had and decided to check it out.
You opened the door and started walking slowly, careful to not make any noise, which was kinda hard thanks to the old wood that made up the shack's stairs.It made sound like it was about to break any second.You let out a breath you had no idea you were holding when you finally reached the end of the stairs.You reached for the door knob but apparently the door was locked.
"Of course it is"you thought.You turned around and started walking around, looking for another way.You entered what seemed like a kitchen, and apparentky it has a window big enough for you to use it as a way of exiting the shack.You opened it, and carefully went out so nobody woulf wake uo and think you're trying to steal from them in the middle of the night or something.Using the phone as a flashlight, you looked for anyrhing that could have emmited that light.
Nothing.There was nothing.
That was until you saw a garage, faint lighting seemed to have been coming from it.You could see it from under the door.You pressed the botton next to it and watched as the door lifted up, revealing a lot of junk but also a laptop that was open.You walked in and sat on the chair that was at the desk."Ok now what is this?"There was also a book on the desk, with a strange triangle on it.Flipping through the book, you saw a lot of odd things.Who wrote this?Why do these people have this?It was genuenly creepy, but curiosity got the best of you so you decided to read it.
As you were reading you saw the sunlight slowly creeping into the garage, you were almost finishing the book, but panicked when the sun made it's appearence.What if someone sees you here?As you only had a little bit to the end, you stayed until you reached the final page.
One day....
Someone....

That was the last page, the last quote said by the triangle in the book.
"Weird...Very weird.Either these people are crazy or this book is some sort of fiction"But as you always said, don't know, don't care.There was no reason to get involved into someone else's private matters, so you left everything as you found it and returned to your room.
You sleeped again until the afternoon, when you finally came down the stairs wirh your bags and announced everyone your leaving.You went to find your car that you left in the woods and were surprised when you could't find any trace of it.It was like the car dissapeared.You spen a couple hours looking for in in the forest when you suddenly heard a strange sound that resembled...someone chewinr metal?
You followed the direction where the sound came from when you found a bunch of gnomes taking parts out of your car to build houses, one of them was also trying to eat it.
You froze in place.What was happening.Are you hallucinating?You tried to find a rational explanation.One of the gnomes looked at you before asking"So,by chance are you looking for a husband?"
No.
This wasn't real.
There is no way.
You started running back to the Shack.You were unsure of what to say when you get there.Were you gonna say the truth?That gnomes stole your car?What are they gonna say?You were mindlessly running through the trees when you stumbled upon something and hurt your ankle.
"Fuck!"You yelled, you squeezed your ankle in an attempt to supress the growing pain.You hear the gnomes getting closer and closer to you.These guys really do not know how to take a "no" for an answer.You got up, took a few steps until you collapsed again, there was no way for you to walk eith your ankle in this state.You looked around for a spot to hide from the gnomes, and that's when you saw it.
A statue.Triangular even, like the one in that strange book.It's hand was reaching out, like in some form of greeting.Your thoughts went back to the book, how it talked about shaking the hand of the statue, in order to free it.It also talked about how this triangle could offer his help for a price.You used your hands to crawl to it, like in a military exercise of some sort, that's when the gnomes finally found you.
"Okay we don't want to make this harder than it is!"One of them said.
Desperate, not knowing if this is even going to work and a bit ashamed of yourself for believimg in this hit you shook it's hand.The gnomes charged at you, when they suddenly stopped.Everything stopped.Everything went to grayscale.You watched in awe, half scared, half relieved you were safe, for now.A laughter filled the forest, an evil, maniacal one.It echoed all around you, getting louder and louder by the second, you saw the statue slowly breaking, the hand was first, after it was the eye, whick looked at you.The hand also tightened it's grip on yours, as if he wouldn't want to let go.You tried to stay up again and go as far as possible, but it was to no use.Your mind wanted to leave, it really did, it was your ankle that was not working properly.Slowly but surely the statue broke completely, revealing a triangle, which floated up and then inched closer to you.It blinked, then coughed, then streched it's limbs, thenhe finally spoke.
"Why are you trying to run away?That's unpolite!I haven't even got the time to introduce myself, name's Bill Cipher"
You stared at him in utter shock.Your mouth was open but you couldn't say any words.
"So you're not gonna say anything?I knew humans are stupid but I thought the average one knows hot to form basic sentences, my fault ig."
"W-What...do you want?"That's all you could say.
"That's what I should be asking, idiot,You're the one who summoned me so, what do you want now?Money?Fame?I do not have all day"
You looked around, the at the triangle.
"The gnomes, can you get rid of them?Amd also, can you get fix my broken ankle?"You tried to compose yourself.
"Sure I can.And since you were nice enough to let me out, I will do it without wanting anything in return."
Your eyes widened"Really?"
"No"The triangle laughed"Again, I thought the average human has the capacity to understand sarcasm.You're not very bright are you?If you want my help you'll need to give me something back!"
You frowned,unsure if this was a good idea
"What do you want then?"You asked, calmly, as if you were trying to make it look like you were in control.
"I'm glad you asked."
