Barry tapped his fingers absently on the armrest, his head tilted as it slumped against the back of the chair. Diana was still going on about battle tactics and whatnot, but the details blurred into background noise.
It's not like he was purposely trying to ignore Diana, but the seconds that passed were basically minutes to him! Even without switching to subjective time! He didn't know how Hal did it, sitting perfectly still. Then again, Hal was a fighter pilot or something similar. Barry figured it came with the job.
At least he wasn't born with the Speed Force like Bart was. Poor kid couldn't even switch from subjective time to real-time! He's pretty sure a few seconds were at least actual hours to his grandkid. Though he couldn't say for certain, so don't quote him on it.
Suddenly, his tapping halted, fingers midway in the air. He straightened up with a jolt, blue eyes widening underneath the cowl.
And before anyone in the room could blink—he was gone.
***
Hal sighed the moment he spotted the familiar blur of red—Barry. The seat that had just held the speedster was now empty. A second later, the Watchtower's automated voice chimed over the speakers, announcing Barry's designation leaving.
Diana stopped mid-sentence, her gaze settling on Barry's empty chair. Everyone else followed suit.
"Did he just ditch?—"
Everyone started talking over each other as soon as the first sentence was spoken, voices overlapping. There were questions, theories, and remarks thrown out into the air.
"I mean, I knew he didn't listen to these, but seriously?"
"Right before Barry left, I did notice him sit up. He seemed... Alarmed?" Aw, thanks, Clark. Hal could've played it off as Barry ditching, but of course, Clark noticed that.
"He may not pay attention," Batman added, "but Flash isn't the type of person who would leave like that." Okay, yeah, maybe he couldn't have played that off. Spooky was too observant for his own good.
He felt his phone vibrate, pulling it out, and he glanced at the screen. A message from Barry lit up the lock screen.
> covet for men please
It had taken him a minute to figure out what Barry had meant: "Cover for me, please". Damn, Barry and his speed typing.
He may not know why Barry left, but he needed an excuse for him— fast. These were the moments he wished he could think as quickly as Barry.
He raised his phone, waving it in the air, as he called out to the other members, "Just texted, he had a family emergency."
The silence that followed was heavy. All eyes were on him, with varying reactions, the most prominent being Spooky's glare.
A beat.
"You're a horrible liar," Captain Marvel out of all people stated.
Hal groaned. "I didn't exactly have much time to think it through."
"And you thought lying on a team with Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman would work?" Oliver questioned. "Not to mention J'onn who can read minds?"
"Okay! It was a dumb idea, shut up already." Hal sighed, brushing his hand through his hair. "I don't know where he actually went. Don't ask me."
"I am worried for him," Diana admitted, her brow furrowed. "What if something happened to him?"
"I'm sure he can handle it." Hal shrugged.
The way the other Leaguers stared at him made it clear that wasn't a satisfactory answer.
"It still wouldn't hurt to check," Clark said. Other Leaguers agree in nods and murmurs. Oh, well. Sorry Barry, he did all he could.
Hal sighed, defeated. "Fine Why not?"
***
The plan had been to head to Central City, everyone assumed that's where Barry had gone. It was his home turf, after all. Luckily for them, they saw another red blur in Keystone, Central's sister city. No one needed to be a detective to figure out who that was.
At least, that's what they thought.
A few Leaguers arrived first, prepared to track Barry down. Fortunately for them, The Flash collided head-on with one of them while rounding a corner, sending him falling to the ground.
"Flash! You disappeared so suddenly we were-" Wonder Woman started, but she stopped short, narrowing her eyes at the dazed speedster.
"You are not The Flash," Hawkgirl growled, her grip tightening on her mace.
The imposter groaned, rubbing his head as he sat up. His costume was in no doubt similar. However he had a darker red and the cowl covered his eyes, not to mention the lack of yellow accents on his costume. His build was also very different from Barry's.
"Whoa, whoa- Hold on, I think there's been a bit of a misunderstanding!" Fake-Flash exclaimed, raising his hands up in surrender.
"Like what?" Hawkgirl glared at him, raising her mace.
Before things could escalate, Green Lantern flew in, waving his arms. "WAIT! Wait! Holy shit!" he shouted, flying over to them. Batman, Superman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Martian Manhunter were right behind him, just in time to see the confrontation.
Fake-Flash sighed, letting his head drop. "Oh, thank God."
Green Lantern landed on the floor, waving to him. "Hey, kid."
"Hey, uncl- Green Lantern."
"Wow, smooth save."
"Shut up."
"Y'know this guy?" Aquaman asked, jerking his thumb at Fake-Flash.
"Yeah, he's-"
"Kid Flash," Batman said flatly, his gaze unwavering as he looked down at the speedster.
He tilted his head, hoping it translated the fact he had just rolled his eyes. "Not a kid anymore."
"Kid Flash..." Wonder Woman murmured, the pieces clicking into place. Her eyes lit up in recognition. "Oh, of course! How you've grown!"
Aquaman squinted at him. "Wait, wait- Kid Flash? The ginger? Red outfit or something with the hat?"
"That's Speedy! Arrow's partner!" Not-Kid Flash exclaimed, pointing toward Green Arrow in exasperation.
"Ohh." Aquaman snapped his fingers. "Sorry, I get the both of you mixed up. You were the yellow, scrawny one, right?"
"I wasn't that scrawny!" he protested.
"I mean you kinda were, but that was probably because you were like what? Thirteen? Fourteen?" Green Arrow chuckled. "I mean look at you now!"
Batman promptly glared at all of them. "We should not be talking about this in the open."
"No, of course not." Diana agreed, clearing her throat before turning back to Wally. "What do you go by these days?"
"Flash. Keystone Flash. Or, y'know, Flash III if you want to get technical."
"Flash III?" Captain Marvel asked, confused.
"Our Flash is the second Flash, the first Flash is like retirement age now," Green Lantern explained.
"Isn't he in the JSA?" Superman questioned, Green Lantern nodded as a few members of the League perked up at the mention.
Before the conversation could go further, another blur zipped toward them, stopping just before it hit any of them. It was a man in a red shirt with a lightning symbol on it, and a winged helmet sat on top of his head. Despite his face not being covered, it was hidden, distorted by the speed.
"Speak of the devil..."
"Hey, Flash!" Wally grinned.
"Hey, kid. What is the Justice League doing here?" Flash I asked, looking over to them.
"They're looking for Uncle B I think."
"Yeah, he ditched a meeting!" Green Arrow exclaimed.
"Ah, well he's probably headed to where the rest of us are going."
"And where is-"
"Wait, the rest of you?" Captain Marvel interrupted, eyes wide.
The two grinned (or at least, they were pretty sure Flash I was grinning) as another streak of colors drew near the group.
"Let's save the introductions for when all of us are there."
"I didn't know there were so many people like Barry," Hawkgirl said, soaring through the sky as the Leaguers followed the directions the speedsters had given them.
Green Lantern grinned. "It's like that time we found out Spooky had so many kids! Except this time I knew."
"You knew?" Hawkgirl shot him a curious look, prompting all the flight-capable Leaguers to glance over.
"C'mon, Barry's my best friend! 'Course I knew. Besides, I'm pretty sure Ollie and Dinah knew, too."
"Wait, I get you, but Oliver-"
"Hey, there they are!" someone shouted, cutting them off.
The group descended into an open field, far from any city. Several speedsters were clustered together around Barry, who was helping a young girl stand. The rest of the team landed down as all the non-flyers caught up.
"So you guys really did come." They all turned towards The Flash, their Flash, who was helping the girl stand. "I honestly thought Wally was pranking me."
"Of course we did, we were worried about you Barry," Wonder Woman stated, causing Barry to blush in embarrassment.
"Names."
"We're not your kids, Spooky," Hal shot back with a grin. "Besides, we're in the middle of nowhere."
Batman's narrowed eyes showed his disapproval, but he didn't press the issue.
"So who's this?" Black Canary asked, gesturing to the girl beside Barry.
She had a darker complexion than the rest of them, sans the black kid, and her brown hair was tied up into a ponytail. However, what caught their eyes was the outfit she wore. A dark blue and white spandex that only someone within the caped community would wear.
"And who are the rest of them?" Superman questioned, gesturing at the colorful collection of heroes surrounding Barry.
"Oh, this is—" Barry began, but a sudden gust blew past him.
The girl tumbled away as a blur in red and white tackled her to the ground, causing the Leaguers to shift into defensive stances.
"OHMYGOSH!JENNI! HII!"
Barry held out his arms as he spotted how most of the League members were formed. "Wait! Don't attack him!"
The League hesitated, but Wonder Woman was the first to relax her stance, the others following suit.
"So, Barry," she said, her voice steady but curious. "Who are these other speedsters?"
"I'll get to that- Bart, let your cousin go!" Barry exclaimed, pulling the two up off the ground.
"Sorry! I'mjust- It's Jenni!" The speedster, Bart, grinned. His auburn hair was wild and messy.
"I know," Barry said with a small smile. "You'll have time to catch up with her later." He turned toward the Justice League. "Right now, we've got company."
Bart huffed, fixing his hair. "Fineee."
The girl—Jenni, Bart had called her—glanced around, her expression clouded with confusion. She looked towards Bart, speaking in a language the League couldn't place, Bart responded fluently. After a brief exchange, he turned to the other speedsters, rattling off words too quickly for any of the Leaguers to understand.
Barry nodded, turning to them. "So, you all know me. I'm The Flash!"
"The second one."
Barry rolled his eyes at the comment. "Flash II, Central Flash, the Scarlet Speedster, whatever you want."
"And you guys already met me already." Wally grinned. "And if you didn't know me from my Kid Flash days, I'm Wally West!"
"And I'm Jay Garrick, the original Flash." Jay gave a respectful nod. "Some of you might know me from my days with the JSA."
Several Leaguers who'd served with the Justice Society exchanged fond smiles, nodding in recognition.
"Why is it that we cannot see your face?" Martian Manhunter questioned.
"Oh, sorry, force of habit from my old days." In a flash, the man's face was suddenly visible. Despite what Hal said of retirement age, he looked youthful, sans a few wrinkles. "I speed up my face, blurring it to where nobody can see it."
"You couldn't just read his mind for that?" Captain Marvel asked, looking over to Martian Manhunter.
"I've been getting into the habit of not reading your minds. Even if I tried, speedsters think too fast for me."
"Huh... Freaky."
"And I'm Avery Ho!" exclaimed the speedster in pink. "Also known as The Flash!"
"Are all of you named The Flash or something?"
"Love the pink. Nice change from all the red."
"You'd imagine with how fast they think, they'd come up with different names."
"Remind me, how many people are named Green Lantern again?"
"Shut up, Barry."
Avery chuckled, waving off the banter before she continued, "Anyway, I'm The Flash of China! Part of the Justice League of China."
Superman's eyes brightened. "Oh! So you're the one Kong was talking about."
Avery perked up. "Kong was talking about me?"
"Who's Kong again?"
"Kong Kenan," Batman answered flatly. "The Super-Man of China."
"Try to keep up, Arthur," Oliver teased.
"Shut up Oliver."
Superman gave a sheepish grin like he wasn't supposed to say that. "Well, he was talking about all of you!"
Avery's excitement dipped slightly, but she recovered quickly. She tugged the yellow-clad speedster forward. "Your turn!"
"Uh, hey!" The boy scratched the back of his neck. "I'm Wallace West—Kid Flash, the third one."
"The third Kid Flash?" Someone had asked.
Wallace gave a nervous chuckle, glancing at Green Arrow, who was glaring at him harshly.
Captain Marvel leaned in, curious. "I think I'm missing something here. Does GA hate this kid or something?"
Dinah smirked knowingly. "Wallace is dating Red Arrow."
"Red Arrow?"
"Emiko Queen," Batman answered. "Green Arrow's half-sister."
"Okay, we get it, you know everything about people."
"Yikes. I can see why Oliver would hate the kid."
Oliver crossed his arms, grumbling under his breath. "Kid better not break her heart..."
"Wait," Wonder Woman said, hands on her hips. "Isn't Wally's real name also Wallace?"
Wallace huffed. "It's complicated."
"Isn't everything?"
"We also call him Ace!" Wally chimed in cheerfully.
Wallace rolled his eyes, pushing him away. "Man, shut up."
"Love you too, little brother." Wally grinned.
"You two are brothers?" Hawkgirl looked between the two.
"We're cousins," he clarified, "but we grew up together. My parents took Wallace in when he was younger."
"Yeah, then Uncle Barry and Aunt Iris took us in. Fucking up the family tree once more."
"It's not that bad."
"Well, it definitely doesn't look good on paper. Have you seen all the interconnecting lines the last time we tried to draw one?"
Wally cringed at the memory. "It definitely wasn't the nicest-looking family tree."
"Hey isn't Wallace the fourth Kid Flash if we count Bar?" Barry asked.
"Who?"
"Kid from the future who thought he was related to me because he had amnesia. Also called himself Bart."
"Still mad at him for that."
"I don't think you've ever met the dude."
"We're getting off track!—" "Wait no, I want to hear about this-" "—My turn now!" A blonde woman stepped forward, gently nudging the two Wallaces aside with a grin. "I'm Jesse Chambers, also known as Jesse Quick!"
Arthur and Shayera both perked up at Jesse's introduction.
"Chambers? As in Jonathan Chambers? Johnny Quick?" Shayera asked.
Jesse nodded. "He and Liberty Belle are my parents."
Arthur chuckled. "Huh. Good for them!"
"I'm sure the name Jesse Quick does wonders for your secret identity."
"Wouldn't know." Jesse shrugged. "My identity is public."
"Oh."
Jesse chuckled, turning back towards the other speedsters. "Alright, who's next?"
"Ooo! Ooo! I want to go!" A younger girl exclaimed, bouncing forward. Her outfit was similar to the first Flash. "Hi! I'm The Boom, Judy Garrick! And he's my dad, obviously." She grinned, jabbing her thumb toward Jay Garrick, who smiled warmly.
Batman stilled, even if momentarily, but it was enough to catch some of the Leaguer's attention.
"Aw, Brucie," Oliver teased, catching the moment. "Is there something you didn't know for once?"
Bruce shot him a flat glare. "Don't start."
Jay cleared his throat, giving a small, reflective hum. "Well, it's understandable. Judy's been... Off the grid for a while. She was kidnapped, stranded on an island, and forgotten by everyone."
The light tone of the conversation dimmed as everyone processed Jay's words.
"Wait, what?" Diana's brow furrowed, concern etched across her face.
"It wasn't just Judy," Jay added calmly. "There were other kids. Missing for years. We're still sorting through the reports."
Oliver crossed his arms with a smug grin. "And guess who found them? My sister, of course."
"Oh, I didn't know about that part actually," Barry muttered, leaning closer to Hal.
"It was her and Stargirl," Jay added.
"Courtney did?" Captain Marvel asked, distress in his voice.
"Wait, wait- Are you saying nobody knew about Judy all this time? Or any of these kids?"
Bruce's expression darkened slightly. "I'd like to see those reports."
Jay nodded. "You'll get them. As soon as we're finished reviewing them, it'll take a while though. A lot of them were displaced throughout time, so they have no family to go back to."
Everyone side glanced at Bruce at the mention of what was essentially orphan children.
"Max!" Jay called, glancing toward the crowd of speedsters. "You want to go next?"
"Sure, why not?"
"WhencanI go?" Bart blurted, practically vibrating with impatience.
"You can go before me, Bart."
"No way! Youcango first Max, I'll just go-"
"After us!" The youngest of the speedsters cut in, interrupting Bart.
"Ugh, fine! Okay, whatever," Bart grumbled, folding his arms.
Max chuckled as he stepped forward, he was old, maybe older than Jay. He had a blue cowl and an outfit with a deep-cut V-neck that made Bruce think of Dick's Discowing suit. He frowned at the thought.
"Hello," Max greeted warmly. "I'm Max Crandall. But some of you might know me as Max Mercury or my many other names."
"Yeah," Bart muttered under his breath, rattling off like a rapid-fire list: "Windrunner,Lightning,Bluestreak,Quicksilver,WhipWhirlwind..."
"Yes, yes. Some of you may or may not recognize me. I am a bit of an old hero."
"Just a bit."
"Yeah, just a teeeny tiny bit."
"Is it our turn now? Are you done, Max?" Max nodded, stepping back to let the two youngest speedsters take center stage.
"I'm Irey West, and I go by Thunderheart!" Irey announced proudly, jabbing her thumb over her shoulder. "And this loser is my brother, Jai."
He rolled his eyes at the comment but gave a small wave as he looked towards the older heroes. "I also go by Surge."
"We could set up a playdate for them with Jon and Damian," Clark muttered, elbowing Bruce.
"How adorable," Diana said with a warm smile, looking between them. "Are you two twins?"
"Yup!" Irey nodded. "But I'm older by, like... A year or two. You know, Spooky Speed Force Stuff."
Jai frowned. "Ugh, did you get that phrase from Dad? There's a better explanation than 'Spooky Speed Force Stuff.'"
"Yeah, it doesn't do me justice as well!" Bart exclaimed.
"Well, what is the explanation?" One of the Leaguers asked.
Jai straightened up as if reciting from memory. "Because of the Speed Force, we aged faster than normal. Chronologically, we're only a few years old."
Irey threw her hands in the air. "See?! That's just Spooky Speed Force Stuff but with more words!"
"Whatever," Jai muttered, shrugging.
"Hey, be nice to each other." Wally frowned.
"Sorry, Dad!" The two chorused in unison.
Arthur folded his arms, eyeing them. "I can't believe little Flash has kids now."
"They should go by Baby Flash." Oliver chuckled. The twins visibly recoiled at the suggestion, shaking their heads.
"No way." "We're not even babies!"
"Chronologically, you're like toddlers," Bart teased with a smirk.
"Shut up Bart, you are too!" Irey shot back
"Hey, I'm older than that now!"
Before anyone could ask what that meant, Barry came over to them, pulling Bart to the front. "Your turn, kid."
"Finally." He huffed before smiling at the crowd. "I'm Bart Allen— shortforBartholomewAllenthesecond— aka Impulse! I was also the second Kid Flash and the Fourth Flash for a tiny bit!"
Clark blinked, trying to piece everything together. "Bart Allen?"
The League had always thought of Barry as an open person, but it seemed like they were wrong with how little they knew about the other speedsters. However, surely Barry wouldn't hide something like having a kid, would he?
Bruce's expression remained unreadable, but a subtle twitch of his mouth gave him away. Clark and Diana exchanged a look, being the only ones to notice it. If Bruce hadn't known about this either, had Barry been deliberately hiding Bart from them?
Clark seemed a little hurt at the thought.
"He's uh- My grandson, he's also chronologically a few years old like Jai and Irey."
Oh.
Wait, huh?
"Grandson? Dude, do you have a kid?" Captain Marvel asked, shock visible on his face. "Or since you took in both Wally and Wallace is this their kid? But wait- That wouldn't make any sense..."
"I'm from the 30th century," Bart interrupted with a grin.
"The future? Cool!" Captain Marvel's eyes went wide with awe before dropping back into its confused state. "Wait, but the 30th century..."
"It's a whole thing I don't want to get into it." Barry frowned but paused to reconsider. "At least, not now anyways."
Bart zipped away, tugging Jenni alongside him. "This is my cousin, Jenni! She doesn't speak English, so I'm introducing her. She's also from the future! She's also on a superhero team from the future and she goes by XS."
She gave a grin, waving to the others as she spoke. Bart seemed ready to translate as he opened his mouth, but Hal beat him to it.
"Nice to meet you too!" He greeted with a friendly smile.
Everyone turned to Hal, bewildered.
"You can understand Interlac?!" Bart exclaimed.
"Uh, yeah? I'm guessing that Earth only speaks Interlac in the future, but Interlac exists here too. Just... In space." Hal explained, tilting his head. "My Interlac's a bit rusty though, my ring does most of the work."
"That's still so cool!" Bart zipped over to Hal. "TheonlyothertwowhocanspeakInterlacisMaxandthat'sbecauseItaughthimandBarrybecause-"
Jenni gave Bart a playful nudge as she called his name in Interlac, cutting him off mid-ramble. He looked at Jenni before rolling his eyes as he backed away from Hal.
"Well, I think that's everyone here," Barry said, glancing around at the group.
"It's nice to meet your team, Barry." Shayera smiled.
"At least there's no one like the starfish Robin this time."
"Well..." Wally tilted his head. "We have Krakkl."
"Krakkl?"
"He's not a starfish, but he is a Kwyzz, a radio frequency being," Wally explained. He looked up at the Leaguers, who looked confused. Even those who were already in the know of the speedsters.
Captain Marvel, surprisingly, was not one of them. "I've seen weirder."
"We all have."
"I guess it matches with the lightning theme."
"Yeah, doesn't Clark have a Kryptonian dog? This isn't the weirdest thing."
"But the dog is still a dog."
"Doesn't that imply Kryptonians and us Earthers come from the same ancestor?"
"Wouldn't be the craziest thing to learn."
"If an alien starfish Robin that was adopted by Spooky is on the table, shared ancestors sound boring."
While the rest of the team bantered about Kryptonians and shared ancestors, Bruce's focus remained elsewhere.
"That doesn't explain why you ran off, Barry."
Barry tilted his head before nodding his head. "No, it doesn't, huh?"
He glanced at Jenni, who was still speaking in rapid Interlac with Bart. With a small gesture, he motioned for her to come closer. She stepped up beside him, curiosity written on her face, but she remained calm as Barry placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"As you know, J," Barry began, "Bart and Jenni are from the future. The difference is, that Bart lives here now, while Jenni doesn't. Jenni time traveled back here by accident, I felt it and ran towards the general direction."
Bruce nodded. "What I don't understand is how you knew to go after her the moment she arrived."
Barry shrugged. "I just did. We all did. Speedsters are time-sensitive."
"Okay- What do you mean you felt it?" Hal asked, confusion plastered on his face. Barry just shrugged as if he didn't know how to answer for that.
Bruce frowned, he'd just press Barry on that later.
"But how did you know to come here?" Diana asked, crossing her arms.
Barry hummed. "We can sense each other."
"You can what? Sense each other? How?"
Barry nodded. "As Wally would say... Spooky Speed Force Stuff."
"That's not an answer." Hal huffed.
"If you want to hear a very long lecture about the Speed Force I'm happy to do so."
"Jesus, long? You?"
"Not including the stuff I know shit about." Barry shrugged. "Which is also a lot."
"You can say that again," Wally mumbled, looking off somewhere.
"Well, that's pretty much the gist of it. Granddaughter travels back in time, I can sense it, I run towards there." Barry looked around. "Any more questions?"
"Why didn't you think to tell us?" Clark frowned. "You just left without any warning."
Barry had the decency to look embarrassed. "Well, when your granddaughter travels back to the past out of nowhere, you tend to focus on that first."
"Is that all of you?" Captain Marvel questioned, staring at all the speedsters. "You're not hiding anymore like Batmam, are you?"
Barry hummed, turning back to recount his family. "Well, family-wise there's still Jay's wife, Joan; my wife, Iris; and my future kids, Dawn and Don—"
"What kind of name choice is that?" Oliver frowned
"A good one." Barry huffed, before continuing. "Then there's Wally's wife, Linda, and Max's daughter, Helen."
"Well, I'm counting my mom," Bart chimed in.
"Would Owen count then?" Wally asked, making Bart look at the sky in thought.
"Sure, Owen can count."
"Who's Owen?" Oliver asked.
"Owen Mercer," Barry explained. "Captain Boomerang II, son of the original Captain Boomerang. He's Bart's half-brother."
"Captain Boomerang?" Hal frowned. "Your enemy?"
"I swear your family tree is crazier than Bruces."
"Don't say that, I think he's really proud of it."
Clark nodded. "You're hurting his pride."
Bruce grimaced at Clark, making the man grin.
"If Owen counts does Inertia count?"
Bart visibly cringed at Wallace's question. "I really don't want to count him."
"You can't keep dropping these names on us. Who's Inertia?"
Wally looked over to them. "Bart's evil clone, but he's blonde and dressed in green of all things."
"Wasn't there another Inertia after that?" Barry asked, looking at his grandson. "What happened to him?"
"No idea." Bart shrugged. "Don't wanna know."
"Well, if we're just listing off evil family members there's Malcolm and Daniel."
"Malcolm?" Clark squinted his eyes at the name. "The name sounds familiar."
"Malcolm Thawne, Cobalt Blue, Barry's twin brother," Bruce stated.
Barry's eyes widened in surprise. "How do you know that?"
"I read your report and-" Bruce looked him up and down. "You're twins."
"Oh." Barry said, rubbing the back of his neck. "So, I don't have to explain who Daniel is?"
"Uh, hello!" Oliver waved. "Other Justice League members who don't read the fuckin' reports?"
"Daniel West," Bruce replied, "one of Reverse Flashes, father to Wallace West."
Wallace frowned, arms dropping down. "Damn, didn't need to bring up that last bit."
Wally muttered under his breath, counting off "Meloni, Thaddeus, Malcolm... That's three Thawnes." He turned his head to Bart. "Not that your mom is a bad person."
"Four Thawnes actually," Bart stated. "I have Thawne blood."
"No." Judy shook her head. "If Owen's your half-brother that'd make five Thawnes. Three in name only."
"Fuck, okay, five Thawnes!"
"Ooo, daddy!" Irey called out, giggling.
Wally turned his head sharply, frowning. "Don't repeat that."
"Too fucking late."
"Jai!" Wally exclaimed, glaring at his son.
Barry shook his head, going back to his recount. "I think that's all of them family wise, hero or not. Team-wise there's..."
"Krakkl!" Wally chimed in.
"I'm counting Meena." Wallace crossed his arms, Barry nodded at the name.
Avery looked over to Barry. "Does Bar count?"
"Sureee..?"
"Are we counting August?" Wallace asked. "Cause he was on our team, then became evil, then became good?"
"Isn't he dead?" Wally asked, causing all the speedsters to look at him. "Okay, fine. Stupid question."
"Okay, well-" Barry turned back to the League. "Now I think that's all of us."
"I think that's more than Batman's family," Captain Marvel muttered.
"Really?"
"Just a guess." Captain Marvel shrugged.
"Well," Wally started, "we do technically have more if you count all the future speedsters we've met."
"I hate time-travel." Wallace frowned.
"You have a delightful family, Barry." Diana smiled. "However, do you need any help with your granddaughter?"
Barry shook his head. "It's fine, she'll be out here in a flash-"
"Do not."
Barry frowned as he turned back to Diana. "She'll be out here soon enough, don't worry."
"If you're sure..." Clark muttered.
"Okay, cool." Hal crossed his arms. "Can we all go back now?"
A chorus of nods and murmurs were heard, with someone saying something about getting to know the others better.
Clark floated over to Wally just before they left, talking about setting up a playdate. Oliver, surprisingly, joined in, chatting about his granddaughter.
Bruce turned to leave, thinking over all that he's learnt today.
He'd need to update his contingency plans.
