My Feeble Dreams

I used to look into your eyes,

and there was no place I'd rather be

I'd gaze at the stars and silvery moon

and imagine the feel of you holding me

I'd dream of your sweet untimely words

and my heart would pound so fast

and then a nightmare spun from my furious joy

in symmetry of pain's past


It took you to realize how much pain hurts

when you took back what you said

An explosion of pain inside my skull

like a bomb inside my head

And all along I actually believed

your hands would hold my heart

My feeble dreams were like a balloon

and your hand threw the dart.
