Arm POV
I was sitting inside my car. I was near the Minor family's factory, Vegas' camp. This is where their illegal transactions often take place, but it's not the only one. Vegas' factories are scattered everywhere, but he never gets caught because of his family's influence.
As planned, I was waiting for Vegas here until he entered the factory. I didn't have to wait long because I saw him from afar, riding his motorcycle.
I ducked down so he wouldn't notice someone was in the car. I knew it was a stupid move because Vegas has sharp senses and hearing.
I noticed him looking in my direction.
Shit!
This is what I was afraid of. He immediately noticed my presence. Damnit!
I heard gunshots. I peeked a little and Vegas was gone. I quickly grabbed my phone and typed:
To: Tankhun
[The plan was successful. Vegas is here.]
I quickly started the car when I no longer heard gunshots.
I hadn't even stepped on the gas when my side mirror exploded. He wasn't satisfied and shot my other side mirror. Who else could it be?
I saw a figure of a man in the darkness, staring directly at me, worst in my eyes. His eyes seemed to glow red. His gun was still pointed in my direction. He was far away and I couldn't see his face, but I was sure it was Vegas.
I didn't hesitate and immediately stepped on the gas and sped away.
Fuck! I almost got caught!
I held my chest, which was still pounding. It's dangerous to fight a Vegas Theerapanyakul. Fighting him is like digging your own grave.
The only thing I don't understand is why Pete was involved in all of this and what was going on between him and Vegas? Why did he kidnap him?
I remembered our plans earlier.
Flashback ...
The three of us met at Tankhun's house. This is where we would plan how to rescue Pete from Vegas' hands.
But can we really do it?
Tankhun's house was small compared to the main mansion. It was surrounded by flowers and had a fishpond in the back. There was also an indoor swimming pool, so we often hung out here.
Tankhun was sitting comfortably with his feet up on the table. Porsche was standing by the window, holding a glass of wine. I was fixing the guns we would use later.
"Damn Vegas! I'm so pissed off at him! Why did he have to take Pete from me? If I ever see him, he'll see!" Tankhun said angrily.
Tankhun had been angry with Vegas and the Minor family for a long time because he thought they were greedy for their family's power.
The Minor family handles the family's illegal businesses, while the main family has a good reputation in public because of their business dealings with high-ranking officials, especially in the government.
"What's your plan?" I asked. I never imagined that the three of us would go against the demon's camp.
"They have a transaction tonight at the OO Factory in Mendez. We need a little distraction to get into his house." Porsche. He was still looking out the window, seemingly lost in thought.
Of all of us, Porsche is one of the best at making tactics. I wouldn't be surprised why, because his boyfriend is the sole heir to the mafia main family, Kinn.
Kimhan, the youngest son of the main family, had no interest in joining the mafia and was only focused on his music. He is a famous artist around the world.
Tankhun, the eldest, I don't know what his trip in life is, but I'm sure he doesn't want to be a mafia.
Porsche finished the rest of the wine in his glass before turning to us. He looked at me directly and seriously.
"The transaction tonight is dangerous, and I'm sure it will be bloody. The Mendez are cunning about drug transactions, so we need to get Vegas to the OO Factory. Arm," he looked at me. I didn't like what he was going to say next. I already had a feeling about this, shit.
"You're in charge of getting Vegas to the factory. I'll take care of Pete." Porsche still looked at me seriously. This was different from his usual teasing face, a sign that he wasn't joking now.
"Aye Porsche! What am I going to do here? I want to go with Arm. I want to strangle Vegas right now!" I looked at Tankhun who spoke. Anger towards Vegas was evident on his face because of his best friend's abduction.
"I want you to wait here, Tankhun. Prepare what Pete needs when he gets here. You're in charge. Expect the worst, whatever Pete looks like when he comes back from Vegas." I nodded at what Porsche said.
It's true that you can't escape Vegas' clutches without a mark. Whoever you are.
"What time do we start?" I asked. I put down the gun. To be honest, Porsche will be the one using it later.
"Midnight." -Porsche. He turned around and prepared for what was to come.
End of Flashback...
I sped up my car as fast as I could before Vegas could follow me and kill me. He doesn't hesitate to kill anyone.
Vegas is almost like an old friend to me because we were classmates from elementary to college.
He was kind back then, but he changed for the worse when his mom died in high school. His father was abusive towards him and his brother, Macau, which made him even worse.
But when Oak came along, he changed. He was always with Oak, so he avoided trouble and gangs. Sometimes, I noticed him smiling when he was with Oak.
But now Oak is gone, and less than a week later, he's targeting his twin, Pete? Unbelievable.
I stopped in front of a convenience store and parked my car. I got out immediately and quickly hailed a taxi. I needed to dispose of it because Vegas saw it. It would be dangerous if he saw me using it because I'm sure he would get me.
I felt my pocket and felt my phone ringing. I frowned when I saw who was calling.
"Hey babe." I heard Pol's sweet voice on the other line.
He doesn't know about our operation.
"Why are you calling? I'm busy." I replied. I guess he's going to ask me to eat at his place again.
"Let's eat together. I made chicken curry." My stomach suddenly rumbled when I heard that. I didn't realize I hadn't eaten lunch or dinner yet.
"Okay. I'm on my way." I ended the call and told the driver the location of Pol's house.
I'm wondering if Porsche already saved Pete because Porsche hasn't texted yet.
Porsche POV
I occasionally glanced at Pete in the rearview mirror behind me. He was just staring blankly, lost in thought.
"Are you okay?" I asked. He was startled when I spoke. He looked at me. Sad and seemingly exhausted.
"Where's Vegas?" he replied. Why was he still looking for that jerk?
"They have a drug transaction at the OO Factory today." I didn't tell him that we planned and disrupted their transaction.
He didn't say anything else and just looked out the window again.
"You need to rest. You look exhausted. What did he do to you there?" Aside from seeing him chained and bound earlier, I didn't see any signs of him being abused or hurt by Vegas.
He didn't speak and drifted away again.
Why? What exactly does Vegas need from Pete?
We all know that Vegas isn't close to anyone except Oak. Even when Vegas saw Pete before, he didn't pay attention to him. It was more like Pete was just air to Vegas' eyes.
But why now, with Oak gone, is he getting close to Pete? Is he just using Pete to replace Oak? Because they look alike?
My hand clenched at the thought.
Pete shouldn't be going through this. He's been through a lot and he doesn't deserve this.
First, being an Omega. It's not easy being an omega, especially if you haven't found your fated pair yet. You'll also be prone to those flesh-hungry Alphas taking advantage of an omega's weakness, especially when they're in heat.
Second, being involved with Vegas. Vegas is probably the most dangerous person I know. You won't have a good outcome if you end up with him.
I remember before he met Oak. It was often reported that all of Vegas' sexual partners were hospitalized and couldn't walk for days, worst for weeks. He was violent with those he was with and he would constantly change partners. Within a week, he would sleep with ten different omegas and all of them would get sick, couldn't walk, and bleed even if they weren't virgins anymore.
From afar, I noticed Tankhun outside his house. He was waving and immediately opened the gate. He has a maid and security guards here, but he must have missed Pete so much that he wanted to greet him himself.
I immediately helped Pete get out of the car because he was still weak. Tankhun immediately hugged him as soon as we entered the house.
"Aye Pete!!!" He hugged him tightly. Pete grimaced as if he couldn't breathe from Tankhun's hug. Tankhun jumped up and down like a child.
"Tankhun, I-I can't breathe." Tankhun immediately let go when Pete said that, but he didn't let go completely.
"How are you? What did that jerk Vegas do to you? Tell me where it hurts and I'll double the pain on him." Tankhun said jokingly, but with a hint of seriousness.
I don't know if Tankhun can really do that, but he's their crazy cousin, so who knows? Tankhun is the only one Vegas doesn't mess with because he's crazy and Vegas doesn't want to waste his time on him.
"Tankhun, don’t worry because I’m fine," Pete smiled to reassure us that he really was okay, but he couldn’t fool me.
I looked at him seriously. He couldn’t meet my gaze because he knew I could tell he was lying.
I wanted to ask more questions, but—
"I-I’m hungry. Do you have any food there? Hehe," he chuckled awkwardly. It seemed Tankhun didn’t mind Pete’s act and immediately pulled him to the kitchen.
"What would you like to eat, Pete? I’ll cook something for you. I have adobo from earlier and some fruit salad in the fridge—," Tankhun continued talking. Pete sat at the counter, and Tankhun started preparing something for him.
I left them and headed out. I didn’t say goodbye because I didn’t want to disturb them.
Besides, I noticed a man’s silhouette outside, so I quickly went after him, carrying my gun.
When I got outside the gate, I saw a familiar McLaren 720s coupe. Leaning against it was a familiar, striking figure. Fair-skinned, thick eyebrows, muscular build, with a hard, sharp jawline, tall, and above all, handsome. He looked like a model with his sexiness.
I immediately tucked my gun behind me.
"I was wondering where my pet cat was hiding. I expected I’d find him here, but I didn’t think he’d be up to something he didn’t tell his owner about," he looked at me intently. I could see the anger on his calm face. His hands were in his pockets, and I could also see his chest from the three unbuttoned buttons on his long sleeve.
I stood straight in front of him and folded my arms, grinning to annoy him even more.
"Maybe his master was also up to something, which is why he’s running away, Master Kinn." My grin widened to rile him up further, and it seemed to be working. I could see the veins popping on his handsome face.
"What are you doing here, Porsche? And why are you carrying a gun?" he said, still keeping his anger under control.
I moved closer, held his chiseled face, and brought my face near his to kiss his nose, which was red from holding back.
"Let’s go back home. I’ll explain everything there." I looked into his eyes, and it seemed I’d convinced him because his face softened.
"Okay. I’ll listen to whatever the fuck you have to say. But still, you’re getting a punishment." He grabbed my waist and pulled me into a deep, rough kiss before guiding me into the car.
"Okay, master." I smirked at him teasingly, and he quickly sped off in the car.
Third Person POV
"You're just like your mother! Stupid! You’re truly worthless!" Kant showed no mercy as he beat his own child in their home.
They were in a dark room, the usual place where Vegas was punished by his father whenever he did something that didn’t meet his father’s expectations.
Vegas was tied standing up, shirtless, as his father continued punching him like a human punching bag. His face and body were already covered in bruises.
Vegas, however, seemed to feel nothing, his expression blank, as though he was used to his father’s beatings whenever he made a mistake.
The transaction didn’t go through, and they lost a large amount of money. The drugs were also taken, leaving them with nothing. Although Vegas killed almost all of the enemies earlier, a few managed to escape with the money and drugs.
His father found him at the OO Factory in the middle of a shootout. His father called him over and punched him, giving the others a chance to escape.
His father had been beating him for three days now. For three days, he hadn’t eaten or drunk water. This was his father’s heavy punishment.
Yet it didn’t bother Vegas. He was used to it. More than anything, he was worried about Pete.
After the encounter at the factory, he went straight to his condo. He was shocked to find that Pete was no longer there. He threw a fit but eventually calmed down after a few hours, his hands bloodied from punching the wall.
When his father finally grew tired of hitting him, he wiped the blood-stained fist that was covered in his son’s blood.
"I allowed you to be with Oak because I thought you'd change. You did improve, but now that he's gone, you already have a replacement?" He got Vegas’s attention.
Vegas glared at Kant, knowing what he was planning.
"Remember this, Vegas. Follow my orders properly if you don’t want anything to happen to your mistress," he smirked
"Try to fucking touch him, and I will burn all of you," Vegas growled. If looks could kill, Kant would be in the grave, but he wasn't.
He left the room leaving Vegas alone in the dark room.
